Sick and Stuff Woohoo!
Posted 3 days agoWell some things never change. Howdy folks! Sorry it's been so long since the last journal update!
Mostly just been stomach issues for the last month and a half abouts, doctor shenanigans in a week.
Am hoping that Silksong's release will get me into a better mood and upload the backlog because I've been sitting on a LOT of stuff from
Snoutless that I just haven't gotten around to uploading. Mainly from lack of motivation but also a bit of dread with having to crosspost and ref things across multiple sites that just takes up so much time. Now that I have to figure out what in between the newer and older stuff I haven't yet uploaded and figure out the tags and all that once again.
Current situation on the Snoutless stuffs: kinda don't really know! They're still dealing with a bunch of irl stuff and I'm directing folks where I can but in the end the project has to be set up by themselves. They've mentioned working on Bluesky and a Patreon but so far have been really reluctant to do any actual work ethic into things. Just right now they've severely limited their online presence to focus on themselves. However, they have stated that they're beginning to be open to open commissions but I'm not going to be the in between on these things. Until they figure out how this is going to actually work the way they want to, I personally say it's all up in the air because there's no actual reliable way to contact them- especially now with all the irl shenanigans and lack of even checking their FA. I have permission to show some of their cool earlier work, and I really want to, but I personally believe they should do SOME of those themselves at least and get into the swing of things.
Anyways just me venting a bit, being half-assed sick hasn't been fun in the slightest, also pretty sure a solution will present itself. I'll just stick to uploading things I receive from them when I'm in better moods and health. Life's just been really sucky lately lol

Am hoping to upload the backlog we've been working on together in the coming weeks :D (Mostly stuff I've forgot to upload myself, WHOOPS!)
There will be some Robas on the upcoming reddit cake day of ours to celebrate on June 13th so stay tuned!
Meantime we're working on some random fun while I try to prepare more comic scripts for ocs and other things.

Posted 4 months agoHi and welcome! Lovely seeing all of you after my lack of wordy word hiatus I suppose I forgot about haha.
Ironically, my sickness has gotten better but not without a bunch of ups and downs.
I'm planning on uploading some more new works I've collaborated with Snoutless on. Though motivation has hit me pretty awful on the uploads as well as general stuff irl. I hope I have the courage to continue even if it might not be like the speed it used to be. (Still figuring out if I should include some more near and dear ocs of mine to put out. But ironically, we've been working on some new stuff in that department :3)

Up next, I'd like to upload the rest of the Zoroarks and Suicune happy trainer family stuff I've commissioned Snoutless with as well as some more pokemons. Yeah so for those in the know (and not in the know) have been sick for practically the whole month. Funnily enough the cold seems to have relapsed and it's almost as bad as day 1 was: not me just coming into work with a 104+ temperature and going "Uh Oh". Me and Snoutless are enjoying festivities and we wish to extend our regards and best wishes to all of you in having a wonderful time during the holidays.
Planning to upload the "New" backlog (heheh now I don't know how many layers of "old" backlog I have now but it somehow gotten even larger than before), wanting to play around with some more pokemon ocs. That said combination of forces made the funding for Cerobas and other stuff take a bit of a backseat. It's all for fun anyways but I hope to get back into the swing of things with them soon. Honestly, a small break is good I think and I need to go look over ideas I've ignored from like 6 months back anyways so it'll be a good time.
Up next should be some cool Zoroark stuff and some more Sui. Then getting onto the backlog for a ton of stuff I forgot to post still.

Posted 10 months agoBeen another month or so, how time flies!
So I apologize, I'm been super burnt out irl and I'm sitting on an even larger hoard of Snoutless commissions that I hope I'll be able to offload more of when my mood and drive slowly returns.
So not only did I get my promotion finally, but I believe we finally went through all the long grueling HR processes that caused most of my burnout in the first place. Huzzah!
I'm going to offload the rest of the Loonas I forgot to post hopefully by this weekend if work doesn't kick my butt, and toss in a Roba whenever I can (I've actually forgot to upload one which is unthinkable).
I don't want to call any of my comics or stories on hiatus but... it definitely seems like a very far thought from my mind atm. I think I'm going to stick to having fun with my hobby of commissioning random things and variety from Snoutless in the meantime. Many backlogs and many memes I really want them to do where their excitement for drawing them is mutual.
Should be very very fun.
(P.S Need to remind Snoutless they should upload a thing whenever they get a chance to haha, social media amiright?)

Update Folks!
Posted 11 months agoHowdy, it's been some time since I've done a formal update.
Life is proceeding. :Snoutless: works hard as always, and I've been attempting to secure a promotion to help further finance our little fun art commissioning venture.
Work's been kicking my ass and my illness is still existent but has been getting a lot better. I would be lying if I didn't say that this totally didn't blow all the steam out of my sails.
Still been meaning to upload more of the backlog which I'll hopefully get to, I've somehow got missing entries from the last couple of sets (not even wanting to think of all the others I haven't posted. Comics, Shils, OCs, the lot. The Lu Mom stuff? Yeah still part of the original pile? Even more pokemons? Tons. Comics? A lot a lot.)
Honestly I hope I can sort these out so I don't accidentally upload the same thing by accident. The burnout cuz of work has been particularly challenging for your pal Work Ethic over here. it usually makes me second guess the ideas I pitch to :Snoutless: , even on the latest ones in the past month I've been doubting. It really sucks when everything is just so hot and I know it is XD
Meanwhile...
Snoutless is working on some really fun stuff so stay tuned for those lol, and I'll try to get them to interact with their own upload schedule at some point.
:Snoutless: has always been great with self-management (apart from being allergic to tagging) and they've been enjoying arting and working on life irl. In the end this is just a fun hobby for both of us and a means to keep saying "Here's more Pizza Money". A patreon one day perhaps, but we'll see. Patreon definitely changed, as we were both there during the whole thing with the big N-ten-do and Diives. Still tragic as all hell, and don't think the situation has really changed by much since. I hope our anthros are anthro enough by the time, but I still worry.
On more good news:
Yes, more Roba. And more Samus Roba :D

If you haven't already I recommend moseying down over to Snoutless page and check 'em out (they're the artist whom let's me upload my commissions from them and appointed me as their uploading social media agent type creature).
Next set will have some pokemon stuff (I... still haven't uploaded all the latest backlog I've received from Snoutless. Help. ((Omgggg Reshi is so hottttt~~))) so I'll get to that in between bursts of lucidity.
I want to get most if not all the Lilli's I got- our resident plant-based smug salad -and it should be cool. There's one set I'm wondering about from a while back that's a progression piece: I don't know whether to just upload the one or get all and link them together post by post like a comic. I also made a really shit awful gif of it on my phone that looks really cool but is of way lower quality so idk.
But yeah! Pokemons!
Ceroba and UTY content will be after I promise. I want to expand the Metroid Robas in the form of a comic with Snoutless that's not gonna financially destroy me as hard (I'm thinking of writing a story for more detail, could be fun to do a 1st-person perspective of the Bounty Hunter Roba Mindset). I got more plotholes covered (holy hell not all of them) but I really want to get the Robas out for it when I can. I also want to explore my older Roba and Martlet ideas I wrote down months back so that'll be fun. Chujin and Starlo base refs are on the list as well, can't meme without them. And I got a TON of Ceroba x Chujin material that'll give a few laughs. Gonna really focus on their homelife shenanigans leading up to the Kanako. Simply put, ya'll don't just build a giant house to imply to your actions-speak-louder-than-words fox wifey that you want anything less than to have several children with her. Based Chad Chujin.
So might take some time, but I wanted to have more fun with the pokemons. I handed over to Snoutless some great random ideas and they've been enjoying them a ton.
So keep an eye out for more surprises and shenanigans from us!

Writing? Should I?
Posted a year agoHowdy folks, the Work Ethic of Snoutless over here (if you haven't already give em a watch, they've earned it for listening to all my commission ideas for them to draw).
TLDR: Thinking of taking writing up again. Dunno how FA's stuff quite works seems .txt formats are readable.
Would there be any interest in posting stuff I write down.
Also I burned my hands cuz metal+sun more op than workgloves haha.
Some folks know, lots don't. I'm (as in Work Ethic, word up) am a washed-up writer. I used to write stories (apart from maybe the occasional Snoutless birthday gift and random blurbs from time to time), do edits for people, and some pretty popular fanfics from a couple of fandoms I won't disclose out of respect and anonymity. Fast forward and I became a University drone. Papers papers and more papers. I would add my touch to these and my profs found them interesting. Though after many science ones of sample, data, present your findings, source source source, "Everything is paraphrase" regurgitate to receive full marks- it killed my drive especially if you do 12 to 20 of these in a given year and it's only worth 10% of your final grade?. Damn. Other irl trauma stuff too happened which killed it even more. But what turned into a fun hobby that I was a little too obsessed with and could absolutely use more practice in- despite being top marks in anything involving English that I've written -just became awful and a certified "wtf am I doing bro?" moment for myself. Even now, I had a 24 hour period of going to bed, waking up, and jotting things down throughout today and throughout work. I don't know if I'll just say screw it like I did previous writing or comic dialogue iterations in some time. This one will really hurt if I do this time, a lot. I forget that like Snoutless abilities of being the fastest sketcher in the Wild West (Yee-Haw), I can just lock-in and see 5-7k words done for a project without noticing the time. It's possible, but the start is what kills me.
Writing's always been a hobby to me and I don't think that will ever change and no current plans on monetizing or going for a a degree (though a degree just to buff my hobby would be great, yet that screams entitled rich bastard money to me. I'd rather throw that to Snoutless and get an animation degree for them so they can dual-wield if I could). Rip, ya'll gonna have to suffer my comma splices and tense shifts.
So came to ask if anyone would be interested in that since there's a bit more people now, maybe I'll ask again later since I did the big stupid and my story has all the notes and chapters but no beginning. I see that there's different files that can be uploaded and some generate a preview, others are more readable. I typically use Word 2010 but I'm open to suggestions or just hamfisting it .txt #based.
Would like to just go "Ah yes type type type" as I did for this journal update, but I somehow managed to burn my hands through the metal/sun dream-team-combo WHILE wearing workgloves.

Well, been some time and quite honestly the backlog has barely a dent in it. Also waiting on both myself and Snoutless to upload more of our OCs so I can open the floodgates on those too. Currently, Snoutless is working on a pokemon-OC-themed project I've commissioned from them that helps expand their own characters for their Pokemon Fighting Academy stuff, and they really like it. Course irl stuff happens and they're aiming for moderate completion times.
Am working on future projects with our favourite artist, I've fallen into my self-inflicted trap once again where I got too many ideas and not enough slottage. And not wanting to overwork the Snoot.
Finally, Snoutless would like to open their commissions publicly at some point- as they've drawn the price ref chart. We'll get there one day, it's ok. I'm just happy they were able to upload themselves like they used to before. Will let you kind folks know when/if public commissions are open you have my word.

It's been a glorious 3 years since the work ethic has ceased (mainly as uploading AND tagging has been a nightmare on productivity), and yes here we go once again!
I shall be (mostly) attempting to upload all (ok maybe not all, that's a lot) of Snoutless commissions from our gracious humble host- may their name be praised - has done for me over the years.
Or at least try too.
