Sort of a short vent. I'm going to be taking a break from all of these news stories/outlets. A lot of the hate persisting in my country and disgusting news stories in general make me feel sick and angry. I know that you can't really ignore problems happening in real-time but a break would definitely be good for me. Especially when I've been trying to work on my emotional health these past couple of months. I'm thankful for my friends, family, online mutuals, as well as the other nice experiences that I've had in my life so far. I don't want to talk about politics or current news stories; or argue with anyone in the comments of this post. I'm just venting. There's nothing to really say here so you can just disregard the post if you want, I might delete it later after I clear my head. To the handful of ya'll who do read my journals- you guys are really sweet and I hope you guys have a nice day. <3

Ok maybe this isn’t the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to me haha but earlier I saw this Transformers meme on the browse page of FA that someone drew. I know someone irl who’s in the Transformers fandom so I faved it so I could go back and show them later when I wasn’t busy. A few hours later the artist noted me asking why I faved their art, then sent a follow up note saying that they blocked me??? 0_o I thought people liked getting favorites on Furaffinity!?

Hi guys! Hope you are all doing well. I’m a member of my school’s anime club, and a few of us made PowerPoints/Google Slides for our very own PowerPoint night! If you don’t know what a PowerPoint night is, it’s basically a get-together between you and a few other friends and you each present a PowerPoint on any topic you want. Mine theme is on waterpolo, and the waterpolo anime: Re-Main. After rewatching a few episodes of Re-Main, I decided that I want to make a shark OC! I still have to come up with a design though.

Fathergrunge is a very talented artist and has great customer service skills. I reached out to him one day after noticing that I had faved one of his works a long time ago (it was a commission piece titled “Tough Guy”). I realized that I loved his artstyle and decided to send a note comparing which of my three main OCs would look best in his style. Fathergrunge was very honest and polite with his feedback and replied within a decent time frame. I finally decided to buy a bust commission piece of my fursona- Swim the tiger. He takes payment right up front and then sends plenty of WIPS along the way. He did an amazing job drawing not only feline characters but also buff women 😭❤️✨ Swim came out just as I had imagined her to be: the perfect amount of tomboy muscle that helps me connect with my fursona as she is somewhat of a “parody” of me in real life. Fathergrunge’s lighting/shading is amazing and all of the little details that I noticed in the piece made me feel that I truly got my money’s worth. 10/10 I would definitely recommend him to others. In fact, I felt that his work was so outstanding that I sent a essay-long critique with honest, positive feedback on all of the detail and effort put into my commission. I felt that it was only right, considering that Kasper mention that he had spent all day working on my commission- him and his art should be appreciated! Another quick detail that I would like to note, is that in his commission terms of service, Kasper points out that he will not take a commission if it incites hate. On his ToyHouse he also discourages anyone from interacting if they are racist, anti-LGBTQ+ , p*dos or zoos. It might not mean much to some, and I’m aware that some people may lie to get more commissions, but I like that Kasper seems pretty upfront about his morals and makes him a lot more approachable as a person. I already don’t interact with some of the fandom due to a few repugnant interactions, so meeting other decent members of the fandom is always…nice 🥲 His prices are also very affordable! I heard there were some anti-furry protesters at Midwest Furfest 2022; I don’t think anyone got hurt, and it was just two people with signs. Still, I hope all of the chill peeps who went had a fun, safe time and didn’t let them spoil the mood. :/

I just started my sophomore year of uni and I wanted to say that I hope those of you going back to school (or even just back to work :) ) have a smooth transition and a great, safe year :D
On another note, I finally came up with some art ideas but I’m still trying to sort out my schedule because it’s add/drop week for my classes and I need to see what my professors are up to TwT
