Hey y'all !

SO. Things happened during my break and I am now finally able to update this channel !

The main thing : I've been struggling with my physical health ever since december 2023 ; what started as what I thought were stomach / digestion issues turned out to be gallbladder issues, and i kept having liver attacks (mistaken as really bad indigestion) until about two weeks ago where I was hospitalized for emergency gallbladder removal surgery because, guess what ! My body was actively trying to poison me. Lol. Surgery went great and I am now almost done with recovery ! (which is neat, the type of surgery I had made for an easy and quick recovery). Everything that lead to my hospitalization was honestly a little bit traumatizing, mostly because of the medical negligence I went through (don't let doctors dismiss your health issues as stress 🙃) but now that I went through it and the issue was removed, I feel great ! I am no longer afraid of eating and triggering a liver attack.

2) Immediately when I got cleared from the hospital and went home, my laptop gave up on me :') to be fair here it was a long time coming, but it put a dent in my savings that I didn't really expect nor need. My new computer is arriving tomorrow so I'll be able to resume work finally !

NOW. Going through all of this on top of feeling creatively burned out, I don't think I can resume custom commissions, because my overall health is still not great. I am thinking of working on adoptables and YCHs, because they tend to limit the amount of energy and back and forth involved in 100% custom commissions.

Now it's not to be said that there can't be exceptions ! Don't hesitate to PM me if you are interested in getting a custom quote, just be aware that I reserve the right to say no !

Alright, I figure it's grand time for a big update post, since there's a couple things I need to say !

HOW AM I DOING ?

I am trying to exist the best I can ; that is currently what's going on in my life. Con season (may to early sept.) is always a very busy and hard time, and this year has been especially challenging. I've been struggling with my health (both physical & mental) all summer and to tell y'all the truth, I am pretty burnt out. In an ideal world, I would be taking a couple months off, but the sad reality is financially I cannot afford it, so I need to work ; but I've been working on solutions to offer commission styles that still look nice but are a lot less demanding on my health.

COMMISSION STATUS

Except one last commission (a ref sheet for a friend, that I am putting priority on) my queue is finally cleared ! Meaning, I will be re-opening commissions soon :) A fair warning : I am currently re-working my prices, because I need to come to term with the fact that I am currently undercharging for the quality & quantity of work I have been producing, and I need to love myself a little. I'm reworking my prices based on actual tiers that will both be reasonably affordable but also reflect the actual work & time that is being put into the art provided. I wont be offering full rendered commissions for a while, because they burn me out very quickly and I need to rest before I ruin my health for good. Stay tuned, I should be able to open commissions by the end of the week !

Not putting a cap on commission types, please bear in mind before taking a commission that if I have a lot of small orders (like icons) the queue is gonna clear fast, but if i have several illustrations slots, your commission will take more time, as I am proceeding in first come first serve.

I've been a little MIA on FA lately ! I've been juggling with my freelance gig & focussing on my online shop so i've been slowing on the commissions a bit, but I got a couple affordable YCHs incoming !
