I'm working on commissions today and while I'm waiting for my friends to come on I figured I'd post this journal.
I want to ask all of you a question and in return you can ask me anything you'd like!

I've been thinking about why people actually commission me! Is it because you like the style? or is it because the prices? or are you here because your friend recommended you, etc, etc.
It's something I'd really love to know about! Please be honest.

Due to some things coming up, I have till the 30th July to raise £277. Yikes.

So, basically I'm going to need more commissioners if I want to pay this stupid bill off. I already had a queue which I'm slowly working on (art block is gone, thank god) and if you commissioned me, you might have to wait a little, I do apologise. I'm going to try my hardest though!

I was thinking of doing an art slave auction for a week or maybe a month, with like... a set amount of full colour pictures and maybe unlimited sketches and more chibis/mini badges/ small things like hipster icons. I might do a few art deals, if you have any you'd like to see, just comment! Like art bundles or whatever.

One current deal I have already is a free hipster icon with every detailed shaded picture!!!

But. yeah ;_; If you could spread the word or commission me that would be great!!!

A little thank you journal as it's been around about one year since I started doing commissions and the response I've recieved and the commissions and those who have ordered several from me and helped me to improve have just been... amazing.

Here was my first commission around about a year ago, early 2012:
http://d.facdn.net/art/solarbyte/13.....commission.png As you can see the anatomy is wonky, the head size was way too large and the shading was slightly... tacky, same goes for atmosphere and colour choice.
Plus the price of this was $4.

Then I started to get more commissioners who gave me a lot of interesting characters and concepts and slowly but steadily I improved and while I've still got a lot to learn, I probably wouldn't be at this stage without you guys because you've helped me so much this year and last.

My commissions are one of my favourite pasttimes and there are days where I look forward to coming home and working on them and making sure you're satisfied with the commissions I do for you and I'm just... aaaaa. seriously. All the interest I've recieved in my work and all the friends I've made here. I can gladly say starting commissions was easily one of the best decisions ever and I hope to continue them and make sure you're happy with them!!
