so, been a long while since I said anything. the TL:DR is lot of the same has been going on, but currently looking for work and decided my bad habits are bad but I can't go another 3 months without some work. So i'll be reopening comms after New Years on Jan 2nd. It's a bit of a buffer given holiday shopping and then whatever else happens, happens.

as the title says, i do think i just gotta move out. While i'm shouting out to the choir here and it's a bad time overall, i just feel in order to advance with my life and feel like i am maturing/progressing with life i gotta make it myself and stop relying being here for so long. Things are not getting better, and frankly family is getting more dysfunctional. But that's the most i'll say, no harm, no danger, just unable to work together.

So i'll likely be saving up money/doing comms more regularly to be able to move out. Not sure where but i got two ideas where, one offer, and basically seeing where in the US can I go and hope to rebuild my life. Else for the most part planning is needing to be done.

Life Update as well: it's been hard coming to terms with a lot of things, recently got psych checked and yeah I got a lot of issues. Made clear now I got ADHD of some sort, anxiety, something called complex-ptsd. it's a lot of coping now and trying to figure out and make self better. If you can keep that in mind, things will be alright if things are slow or you don't see a quick turn around with your commission. If not, well what else can I say.

Alright, it's been a long while, after cancelling the last batch, mental blocks burn outs and everything else in between here and the usual pandemic bogs, I think it's time I reopen for commissions. Unlike last time, way of submitting for a commission will be done through Google Forms. At this moment, it'll be by a Pick and Choose basis, where as I will work on any that I can do, when I have the ability to. With both work and school back underway, this is the best way for me to handle commissions while avoiding burnout.

Also, only Doodles, Sketches, and Flats are available at this time.

it's likely you been seeing less and less of me as well. Thing is life just gets in the way, the lockdowns take a toll for one, but a lot of art is just...boring and no longer fun to me. I tried taking commissions to make myself be pushing towards wanting art as a career path but it's not been working out at all for me, a lot of it being my fault and experiences I had on top of my envy.

The unpaid commissions I owe are still active though I have to admit that I no longer have interest in the ideas I was given. So a lot of it is just pushing to get ideas done, of myself and of the things I owned. It's just a low spark that gets fed from time to time and sometimes I only get to doodle something once a month at best despite having moods and wants and mentally hitting roadblocks I can't get around.

I still want to take a hiatus and this isn't what I wanted out of a hiatus so to speak, because it's a paradox guilt of "I want to draw but i need to take a break so I can get energy to draw again" but when you get the energy, nothing happens. I don't know what's wrong with me.

it's not that the quarantine is going on or that i'm stuck inside of home a lot when not at work, it's just that art itself has gotten boring and unsatisfying to me. It's always become a struggle to do my own ways of doing things over the last few years. the stuff i enjoyed i don't get the same feels from, me having over done the work for others or in the past requests and not getting the same effort put back and the over complimenting from folks to the point i just feel like if people like my stuff, then i did my job just fine.

i reopened commissions thinking if i can do this again, maybe i still have a chance at trying to down the road get a job as an animator or something, but in the end just not meeting those expectations and just failing again. It isn't as fun anymore and trying to regain something but also feeling manipulated trying to please others at times. People tell me just draw what you like and don't listen to others, but that is also boring. i like muscle, i like hyper, i still like macro even though i lost a lot of what made the concept appealing before. just too much to think about, this burnout feels everlasting and just trying to regain the fun factor or least the sense i can enjoy what i'm making feels impossible at times.

In anycase, i will be opening again for a small batch. Will include twitter incase this time due to some not having an FA, but the RNG method still continues, not first come first serve method. well that sucks, i did everything right for appealing for aid but it was all done too little too late, and i can't pay out of pocket at the time and already too late to try and donation drive or anything of the sort, so i guess this means i'll be job hunting a hellva lot more, as well as trying to put out more commissions without risking too much burn out, assuming I still have a home after all this. a Parents' Disappointment is one of the biggest things to me honestly.


In short, no school, tomorrow will open up a new journal for another 3 comms.

whelp almost another month after i accepted comms, boy time flies.. anyways, beside burn out, life still sucks and am job hunting int he LA area of California, meaning it's rough for someone whose looking for their first job. besides that i am thinking of reopening for commissions soon, though was also told to try donation drives to help alleviate some tension but i don't know about that sinc ei dont' stick to that very well.

I just wanted to say that the 3 slot batch went well, nothing too bad happened besides the untimely matter of the tablet screen dying and gathering a sort of replacement and all that stuff to deal with. it's not fun int he least.

If i keep this pace i think things will be fine. So thinking of reopening again later this week, though will announce per usual a journal for the same raffle style and a 24h window of notice.

seems two days ago of all days the tablet of mine decided to have it's screen start dying. it's a Surface Pro mind you and currently my only PC like computer i have around. realistically it'll have to get fixed, if possible, since it's my only tool i have without having to get another computer of sorts and then digging back up an older wacom intuos model and hope it still works.
