Splatoon, you're a kid now, you're a squid now.
Posted 10 years agoA really interesting game where you play as this cute half-child, half-squid, Lovecraftian horror that destroys other Lovecraftian horrors in a ink spewed fight to the death.
Not really, but it's a fun little game nevertheless.
You play as an Inkling, which is a humanoid squid, that can change shape from human to squid. Each for has different powers. As a human you can run, shoot ink and throw grenades. As a squid you can swim very quickly through the ink that you shoot, even climbing walls, and evade enemies sight.
The one player mode is good for getting down the basics, but it's very linear and doesn't offer much replay. Well, unless you buy the Inkling amiibos which activate a challenge mode where you use different weapons to complete one player levels. I know it's a little bullshit. Since most of the game is geared towards multiplayer, I'm concerned once the servers go down how much game will be left. It looks a little bleak since there's no option to play multiplayer offline with bots.
However the multiplayer is where the game really shines. It gets quite intense near the end game where Inklings are scrambling to cover as much as the turf. That's right this game isn't about only killing your enemies, it's about covering as much turf in your teams own colored ink. As you do so you build up to your special super weapons that range from gigantic missile that you can aim anywhere on the map to a device that lets you see all enemies positions on the map including where their hiding, or even letting you changing into a giant squid monster that let's you crush enemies.
After each battle you get experience to level up and money based on how well you did. Afterwards you can go on a shopping spree to buy new shirts, hats and sneakers. Time to get stylish. Or, you could just buy new weapons.
The game is a bit on the casual side but it's really great. If you have a WiiU and good internet, I suggest you think about getting this game.

Another Birthday Has Come And Gone
Posted 11 years agoIt was a very quiet affair. Got some cool gifts.
Also my Birthday fell right before Easter. So hope you all have a safe and fun holiday. Be on the look out for big bunnies carrying eggs. They hide those time bombs all over the house.

Christmas Log
Posted 13 years agoStar Date 2012
During a brief encounter with a being called "Claus" last night. The crew and I learned the most important lesson of all. Don't drink the eggnog if it smells off in some way.
Alright that's enough silliness for now.
My Christmas was pretty good. It was a quiet affair with the family. The dinner we had on Christmas Eve was good. I had some delicious fired calamari at the Olive Garden.
Today, I had some awesome Prime Rib for dinner after opening Christmas presents.
All in all is was a nice day. Hope you guys had a nice day too!!!

Happy Halloween 2011
Posted 14 years agoHave a Happy Halloween all!
I hope everyone had a safe and fun time today.
This year was actually pretty slow for me since not many children were out Trick or Treating.
Also, I didn't carve out a pumpkin like I normally do. Which was a little sad for me.
However, I recently began my first multiple page comic that consisted of more than two pages. That comic had me preoccupied for a just trying to finish it and making sure it looks nice.
To wrap things up, I got to say while it wasn't a bad day for me. I gave out some candy, chatted with friends via Skype, and got to sneak some candy from the leftover. So tomorrow you'll see me at my local grocery store buying lots of clearance Halloween candy!!!

That Little Inchworm
Posted 14 years agoEven though the title of the journal seems to suggest it, this is not a poem.
I'm actually gonna talk about a little animation program called INCHWORM ANIMATION.
It's a fun little program that is for the Nintendo DSi and Nintendo 3DS. It host a variety of tools that'll help make simple to complex animations depending on your skill level. Or stagnant images if you prefer.
It has a hell of alot of colors to choose from as well as supporting animation frames and layers. The Onion Tool lets you see the last frame you drew and makes it easier to draw the next frame for your animation.
The best part is that your creations can be saved to the SD Card and exported to the internet. For the price of $4.99 how can you go wrong? Seriously, a box of crappy brand crayons would cost more to get the less colors.
Well, maybe not since the Nintendo DS systems are expensive. :P
I recommend if you have a DS system and you like drawing or animating, you should check it out.

Journal Update Get
Posted 14 years agoSo this has been what's happening lately. Last Saturday, the 25th, we finally had Mom's funeral. We waited so long because we wanted her brothers and sister, who live in different states, to attend the funeral.
It was a relatively small funeral, but it was nice. I gave Mom a eulogy and my Uncle Tony got up and read a beautiful poem called, "If Tomorrow Should Start Without Me."
I, personally, didn't cry a whole lot, however my Dad was sort of freaking out before the funeral.
Frankly, I did most of my crying the weeks after her death.
We went to Duffy's and had a family lunch afterwards. It was nice seeing my family again.
They went back home Monday and I don't know when I'll see them again.
In other news it's almost Independence Day for us in the USA. So expect some Marcus Shenanigans Artwork.

Some Horribe News To Share (2011)
Posted 14 years agoOn March 31, my Mom passed away due to complications of outpatient surgery to put a catheter in her chest for dialysis.
I'm completely a wreck and have been crying on and off all day. I loved her and I was so dumbfounded when my dad came home and told me it wasn't looking good because she blue lined and the catheter had damaged her heart. A half our later we got a call that said that, "She didn't make it."
I miss her so much already. It really hurts to even think about it, how she'll never get to see her son and daughter marry, have grandchildren, and start a life. I really want the pain to go away, but that would involve forgetting how happy she made me feel, how she comforted me when I was insecure, how she would help me make big decisions. I don't want to forget.
The only consolations are that her pain is now ended and she's with her parents again.
I have no idea what the next step is for me to take. We're probably going to schedule a funeral/service within the coming days or weeks.
I can't believe she's gone. It's been making me physically.
Goodbye Mom, I hope you achieve your eternal happiness in the kingdom of God.
I'll try to make you proud in my life, so I hope you're watching.

The New Year Has Dawned
Posted 15 years agoThis time of year is full of hope and dreams for us to make a better our life. We make resolutions to motivate ourselves into striving for a better life.
Then the year kicks us and stomps on us while we are down. We get up, and clean ourselves up, and start striving again for a better life.
Some of us are lucky and do get a better life either through hard work, luck, or both.
Happy New Year everybody. Hope you're able to better your life or do something you always wanted to do this year.
As for my New Year Resolutions?
I can't tell you or they won't come true! :P

Merry Christmas Everybody part 2
Posted 15 years agoHello all, Hope you all had a happy, safe, Holiday!
Christmas was okay. It was just the four of us at are normally here, no visiting relatives or friends. We had some Pillsbury orange buns for breakfast before we open gifts.
I got everything I wanted and some more. I was really happy. I hope I gave out as good as I received. I hope my family enjoys their gifts.
Here's what I got.
Clothes
Raccoon Mario Shirt (LOL Furry Mario)
Group Shot Mario Shirt
DC Universe pajama pants
Justice League boxers
Dr. Seuss One Fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue fish boxers
DVDs
Despicable Me (Steve Carell was good in this one)
Grown Ups
Resident Evil Degeneration
Video Games
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Metroid: Other M
Sonic Colors
Epic Mickey
Spider-man Shattered Dimensions
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers (Longest Title Ever!)
Endless Ocean: Blue World
Donkey Kong Country Returns (I'm Surprised, I got this one)
Miscellaneous
Candies
Mario Key Chain (Pleasantly surprised)
Clock
So yeah, Mom did real well this year. I hope I thanked her enough.
So after that we went our separate ways until dinner had to be made. Mom and I made some Anti-pasta, heated some Publix Crab Chowder and Lobster Bisque, and afterward we made Shrimp Scampi.
The meals were okay, the soups for Publix were meh. The anti-pasta was good, I like the prosciutto the most. The Shrimp Scampi was okay, but a little salty.
All in all it was a very good Christmas day. So may you Holidays Be Happy and fulfilling.
Also saw Curious George movie today on TV. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I recommend you see it if you enjoy animated films.

Have A Thanksgiving.
Posted 15 years agoWell today was Thanksgiving. To say the least it wasn't anything special. Our oven was broken so we bought the Publix turkey meal...mistake. It wasn't very good to say the least. Also we didn't have anyone over and today wasn't very festive.
But it was alot better than some unfortunate people had today.
I'm thankful for the food we got to eat, the roof over my head, and the sweet potato pie for dessert tonight!
Have a Happy Thanksgiving FA.

Alpha and Omega review
Posted 15 years agoOn Saturday I had the pleasure of seeing the C.G.I. movie, "Alpha And Omega." Which was about horny wolves trying to get laid. Great idea for a children's movie. Totally age appropriate good job censors. Well, it wasn't exactly about sex, they used a howling euphemism instead.
The story was rather bland and predictable. It was filled with stereotypes that played the stereotypical parts they were given. Basically the plot was, Humphrey, an Omega, want's to "howl" with Kate, an Alpha. Not really "given" a reason why he likes her so much you sorta have to infer that he wants her because she's hot, strong, and popular...Great reason. But Kate has to marry an Alpha, Garth, from another pack in order to prevent a pack war because there are no more caribou on the other packs territory. By the marriage the packs will unite into one and there will be no more fighting and caribou for everybody!
*Guess they haven't heard of Predator-prey cycles, in which the predator population increases, the prey population decreases, as the prey population decreases the predators run out of food and their population decreases. As a result the prey population increases again and then the cycle repeats.
I can't wait for Alpha and Omega 2 where we get to see starving wolves resort to cannibalism!*
Back to the story. Kate is alright with this and she actually feels compelled to marry him. The two Alphas meet under the full moon and they hit it off until Kate realizes that Garth has "Howling" problems. She runs away mid howl and starts to talk with Humphrey, wait he starts up the conversation with her. He saw her distress and decided to capitalize on it by striking up a conversation, what a bastard. Anyway they get kidnapped by humans and are relocated to Idaho to "repopulate"... I mean howl! After that the story becomes Homeward Bound, adventure and relationship get while nearly dying!
*For the record Garth was actually funny and likable.
So, they get help from the French-Canadian Goose and his British Duck. I forget the names, but they were funny too. The goose and duck help them get into the trunk of a vehicle owned by this librarian and biker couple. The goose went into describing how the couple fell in love very humorously. Apparently, "they met each other in a book store that also sold beer." Was actually funny and had foreshadowing /symbolism with Kate and Humphrey's story arc, yes writers we saw it you practically clubbed us over the head with it..
So they ride for a while and do some jokes where they are exploring the human clothes and stuff. Humphrey has to get out of the car to pee, and what happens? Well, the outing goes sour and our heroes have to run for their lives. The rest of the trip stuff happened, but was boring and predictable. The two fall in love.
Back to the packs. Well, apparently the antagonist pack thinks Kate ran away and gives an ultimatum get her back before the next full moon or there's war. Then, the Lilly and Garth scenes. See Lily is Kate's younger sister and an omega as well. She has a huge crush on Garth and decides to calm the packs down by offering Garth a tour of their territory. The Lily and Garth scenes where actually good. The short scenes we saw of them had more character development than the main characters.
Well, Kate and Humphrey make it back on the full moon night and prevents the war. She agrees to marry Garth, much to Humphrey's disappointment. During the marriage she has a change of heat and runs off and the packs rip each other apart until the stampede of caribou threatens all of them. The two Male Pack Leaders are trapped because they are getting older and can;t run fast enough to escape. Kate and Humphrey save them in a ridiculous way, log surfing ho! But Kate is hurt badly and she died. But only for 30 seconds. She is roused and everybody is copacetic. Garth and Lily get together and Humphrey and Kate do, too. Howling, the packs unite, the end.
It was not a very good movie. Not completely horrible, but it will have you groaning a few times as well as enticing chuckles.
Anyway thanks to all who could read through this.
Also, Rest In Peace, Dennis Hopper! You did a great job as the antagonist pack leader that we actually could like and relate to.

Why I hate colds. By sonicheroes4ever
Posted 15 years agoThey suck.
The end
I've been having one since Sunday and it got real bad on Monday. Throwing up and what not. Feeling a little better Tuesday, but it appears the cold is moving into my chest. So it could actually get me sicker. I'll have to wait and see.
Also I've been feeling rather uninspired to draw lately. I have a few ideas and a Halloween picture in the works but can't really say if I'll finish them.

This is what's been happening
Posted 15 years agoRecently my mother went into the hospital, on Thursday August 11, to get her right arm amputated below the wrist because her had had be come crippled due to trauma of a previous surgery. So, I've been visiting her everyday. The good news is that the surgery looks good. I've seen the arm unbandaged and it looks pretty good. She also is in pretty good spirits because the pain in her crippled hand is gone. Hopefully, she'll be out of the hospital tomorrow if everything goes well.
So that seems to be good. Still, it is a long road to recovery. And I hope I can help her.

What been happening over the weekend family
Posted 15 years agoAs some of you know, my grandpa passed away on Friday, Mar 19 2010. He was cremated and we held on to his ashes for about a month and a half.
.....Yesterday, we had the funeral service. We wanted to wait till all his children could make it to say goodbye. All his grandchildren also came to the service. My Uncle Tony, gave a beautiful and funny speech at the service. He mentioned others that have passed before my grandpa, who knew and loved.
.....My grandpa said when he died, he wanted everyone to have a party for him. And we did. We laughed, we joked, and most importantly we remembered the good times. It was really nice to see everyone again. Tonight, we took grandpa and grandma, whom is the love of his life, o the lake outside their house. We said some some final goodbyes and his two sons pored both ash containers into the lake at the same time so they could mix together and become one again. It was sad and there we tearful, heartfelt hugs passed around.
.....Goodbye grandpa....I'll miss you.

Saw two new movies over the Weekend
Posted 15 years agoMay contain Spoilers on Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" and "Shrek: Happily Ever After."
The first one was the Tim Burton directed "Alice in Wonderland." I liked this movie. It was miles better than his "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" movie. It was kinda dark and full of action. It didn't make sense in some parts, but then again, it is Wonderland. I like that it was sort of a sequel to the Disney movie rather than a remake. The most satisfying part of the film was the flashback part where you see all the classical scenes from the earlier film, but in live action.
So, if you like action, weirdness, and talking animals, you'll like this film.
The next film, I'm gonna talk about is "Shrek: Happily Ever After." This is the fourth and last film in the "Shrek" series. It was actually better than the third film by a lot. The antagonist was flamboyantly evil and smart. Lot's of action and rude humor. It took the cliche, "If I was never born,..." plot and made it pretty enjoyable. Not the best in the series, but also a good film altogether. It needed a little more Piper in it though. That guy was awesome.
So, thank you if you managed to get this far in my journal entry. And since you got this far, why are you still reading this. I got nothing more else to say. Go, look at more furry art or porn! That's what this site is about.

A little update
Posted 15 years agoThis is just a little update on my journal. The last one has been around for quite a while! I'm still alive. I am still doing "art" too. I have lots of ideas ready. But for some reason I can't do all of them.
I need to get organized a bit more. Maybe write more of my ideas down on paper. I may try to write some stories on FA.
Does anyone have a genre that they want me to try?

Not much to say
Posted 15 years agoI was a sick with an asthma attack, butI'm feeling a little better now.
Also, I am probably gonna go some more fan art. Probably some Bucky O'Hare characters.

First Journal Entry
Posted 16 years agoHello, I'm sonicheroes4ever. I've been on FA for a While now. But I've been more active lately. I tend to draw mostly human art, so I don't submit here as often as other places. I'm working on my new comic called "Aura Blade."
