Small Update! I hope everyone is enjoying September <3

I regret being inactive for some time. I wish I can be more productive and prolific. I will try to find ways to make it up. I didn't want to bring my issues up before as I didn't want to seem like I have excuses but, I realized that I should let people know what is up to maintain communication. I have sent out Notes to commissioners but wanted to share some more info in a journal.
Small run-down on what's been going on so that there is transparency:
1. On top of my usual day to day hand pains, I had tweaked my neck badly and was bed ridden for a couple of days. The neck is fine now but the neck sometimes flairs back if I am not careful. I am considering getting a marijuana medical license because I had genuinely wished for death during the 3 days I was bedridden. Figured trying out something I had never done in my life would be a healthier alternative.
2. I broke my wisdom tooth and was terrified of the dentist. I have never had insurance so every dentist visit as a child in the US meant paying a lot if money. My husband got me insurance this year and while it may have taken months to find a doctor it only took us a day to find a dentist :D Folks told me I would get a crown but I feared the worst. :D Guess who was right? This old woman right here! Turns out I'll need to go to the oral surgeon and have three wisdom teeth removed. I have also never had a tooth cleaning so will be going in for multiple visit for teeth cleaning to remedy my "rock wall". I am absolutely fascinated by the sensation of gaps between my teeth! Flossing is easier now too so I'm actually enjoying doing that.
3. My husband's family had some turmoil that lasted for a couple of weeks. His grandfather had a close brush with death 2 weeks before his 90th birthday. The doctor said to treat 90 very well because it may be his last. My piss-poor MiL doesn't have much in finances but she has a wealth of friends who managed to make it an AMAZING party for him - we had an entire restaurant and 80% of the food, and an MC/musician all for free. We also had fire dancers and a hula dancer. Family from the mainland flew in to celebrate. With any family gathering though comes drama and I am not a drama loving person. The anxiety and toxicity from some folks gave me stomach pains for 4 days which didn't help the utter lack of sleep for those 4 days. The last family member went home a day ago and I found myself having a very solid REM sleep ( wild wild... non pg dreams though) and my stomach no longer gives me pain :D
4. My PC had been exhibiting some strangeness for sometime but we thought we fixed it. It worked for sometime but now it really doesn't want to work. My husband suspects that the motherboard might have fried. I thankfully backed up all my ongoing commissions' PSDs so no worries there. My husband's PC didn't want to work for a day too but, it miraculously turned back on after no effort from my husband and I. I'll be figuring out a temp fix on my PC to at least get ongoing comms done and charge through the hand pains OR, see if I can get my husband's PC settup for me to do art on. Eitherway, I just need a couple more idle days to get that sorted.
5. A somewhat mild problem but where I live, we've had 2 near hits with hurricanes. We had to dedicate a lot of time and resources to prep for them. Never forget about your pets' needs during disaster prep gaiz :D I am saying this is a mild problem because by the time the weather system reached where I live it had downgraded to a tropical storm. Didn't have to water my garden for a couple of days :D
So there we go. I didn't list off all the things that dragged at me but who doesn't have day to day, week to week, and month to month issues that they have to slough through like champs?
TLDR:
Body pains real bad. Broke a tooth. G-Pa almost died. Visiting Family drama. PC might be dead. Dodged 2 hurricanes.
PS The printer died so while I do have some owed Freebies done, I am unable to upload them until I can buy a new printer. I'm thinking of getting a laser printer. Good idea or bad? I swear, printer ink is more expensive than blood! ><

$30 per slot if you give artistic freedom, $35 if you want to specify how it comes out.

Can work without ref sheets but you'll need to answer a lot of questions and provide photo refs of certain aspects of things.

My hand has recovered considerably this last week and I have found new vigor in arting. I still have a limit in what I can do and how much I can do it but at least I can hold a stylus for longer than 5 minutes AND I no longer drop my cooking knives and pans when I cook :D
Personal Update:
As some may know I have chronic hand pains that have steadily gotten worse these last three years. It's been hard both physically and mentally - what sort of human experience can you have when you can't -do- anything? Thankfully I have a very loving and supportive husband who does his hardest to help me as much as he can. More surprisingly, my mother has come to recognize my emotional and mental discourse as something to delicately handle VS brushing it off calously. She's been careful and tried very hard to be quite verbally supporting ( she has never said the words "See? I need you. We all need you" in such a serious manner before ). To help with my hand issues, I had gone to a doctor during a free temporary clinic and was told that "no amount of physical therapy will cure you." That hit me real hard but my husband persevered quietly and announced that he was able to get me insurance with his work starting January of '18 ! It took a few months to find an available doctor where I live but I was able to find one that was willing take new patients. My first appointment is set for September. I hope that the doctor will be able to get me a nerve test as well as transfer me to a specialist.
March Madness Debrief:
For those who don't know, during March I had created for myself a sort of challenge where I would hash out as much detail as I can within 1 hour everyday for the whole month. Clients paid $15~$20 for these 1 hour challengs and gave me worded "themes" for me to work with. The whole month was an amazing experience! Everyday was a challenge to try to incorporate the given themes while still exhibiting the joys of artistic freedom. Some art pieces that I thought for sure would garner more love didn't hit the mark as much, and yet art pieces that I didn't think would strike a cord with the crowd became the most viewed and faved pieces! Thanks to March Madness I decided to try out more fast paced, quick(er) turnover art styles more love. My polished painterlies take my literal life energy to complete but a lot of the styles I tried out for March Madness still gave me a sense of fullfillment that I get from my polished pieces :D I hope to do these challenges again, although I might limit it to 1 week a month VS 1 whole month here and there in a year. My hands were shot at the end of March and I had trouble squeezing toothpaste ><; in moderation from now on <3
Erotica Series:
During March Madness I had discovered that a lot of my lady arts got a lot of views. There was 1 nude female I did that has gotten the most favs and views which prompted me to try my hand at erotica art :D I sketched up some poses and had intended to sell each one as a elaborate piece with backgrounds BUT, in the end I realized maybe folks prefer to pay less to just have the body VS paying for a whole scene. Right now I have 2 slots left (3 but that pose is put on hold for someone). The fact I was able to sell 2 poses so quickly really fills me up with joy and warmth. In light of that, I was wondering if there would be anyone interested in a second Erotica series but with more masculine physiques?
More Tentacles and Bondage?
I seem to get more engagement from folks when the subject matter pertains to bondage and tentacles. As I myself like those themes, I was wondering if I should do more of either in future YCHs?

So I realized that I have 3 extra days in March after Week 4. After asking around both via journals and in-stream, I had found more interest in something called "The Mega Slot".
What is it?
Instead of selling 3 individual slots, I am selling all three days as a single larger/detailed commission where I work on it for 1 hour each day. I will still include a grace period and extended time if there is a tip. What this means is I get to see what this month's worth of challenges has done for me. I hope to flex my newly gained skills, technique, and brushes to make something that is more polished than what I have done so far in March Madness.

These all feature art that is done in 1 hour to 1 hour and 45 minutes. What you'll get is something that has that extra 2 hours of polish.
Rules
This won't be a first come first serve. I will pick the final slot winner on March 26 close to midnight Hawaii time.
Single slot SFW would be $45 BUT if someone wanted it to be NSFW the slot is then $60
No couples art. (I have plans in the future to do something similar to March Madness but with couple art. The price will be slightly higher but you will get a little more time than the usual 1 hour.)
Please do not get upset if you aren't picked.

Rules
This won't be a first come first serve. I will pick the final slot winner on March 26 close to midnight Hawaii time.
Single slot SFW would be $45 BUT if someone wanted it to be NSFW the slot is then $60
No couples art. (I have plans in the future to do something similar to March Madness but with couple art. The price will be slightly higher but you will get a little more time than the usual 1 hour.)

I realized that there are three days left in March after Week 4 of my March Madness and would love to get some feedback from you lovely folks on what I should do.
My idea was:
Sell the three days as I would any other March Madness slot as a sort of "Week 5"
OR
Sell all 3 "slots" into 1 single piece that I spend 1+ hour on for those three days. Sort of like an accumulation of what I have learned this month and to see how much better I could do if I spent longer on a piece.
Please share with me your thoughts on these final days of March Madness :D

Hello dear watchers :D
I want to thank you for checking out this journal. I am very excited to say that during the month of March I will be opening for a daily $10 sketch grab bag. The goal is that I work for a solid 1 hour with a 5 minute grace period. Tippers will get extra time and detail to show my love and thanks <3 As a "Grab Bag" the results will be surprise for you :D. It could be a detailed headshot, it could be a black and white fullbody sketch, monochroatic sketchy painterly, Etc etc. My hand problems haven't gotten better but I need to get accustomed to working with that I got so I am hoping that a daily drawing will make the magic happen. I don't expect to always sell a piece everyday but I'll take on slightly more elaborate commissions ( like lined flat colors or cell shaded) to fill in the blanks.
I'll be taking on the commissions in batches of 7, 1 week at a time. Week 3 slots will open on March 10

Shoujo Manga Idea I thought up just now XD

"My Boyfriend is a Pigeon?!"
Little girl saves a pigdeon chick and places it back to it's nest. She brings it flowers and seeds while covered in dirt and twigs. Fast forward. She's now in highschool looking like your sterotypical "nerd glasses" messy hair. Everyday after school she get's bullied into doing the popular girl's cleaning duties. Afterwards she always goes to the park to feed the pigeon there. She somehow never realizes that they never shit on her and that they always leave flowers for her on her bench. One day the bullies hurt her and so she's crying on the bench telling the pigeons what happened as she feeds them. Next week all the bullies have had nonstop piegon shit accidents happen to them ( hair is covered as they walk to school, when they go out on dates the pigeons poop on their sundaes etc etc). Nerd girl is oblivious but one day at the park a very sweet long haired bishounen shows up (with grey feathered hair clip), hands clasped behind his back with an easy goofy smile. She is bad with boys and is shy around him but he is just so awkward with his body so she winds up helping him. Turns out he just wasn't used to his human body because he's a pigeon! The very same baby pigeon she had saved years ago! Birdboy had begged the Tengu lords to give him a human form so that he can be with her. He can't turn back into his bird form for a month so she secretly hides him at her house to keep him safe and to teach him how to be a human. He isn't supposed to follow her to school but he does. She gets mad at him cutely, he looks confused and goofy. Hot bishounen is getting attention from bullies as they try to flirt with him. Birdboy recognizes them and gets all cold and mean in that typical sexy manga man way. Everyday birdboy brings flower gifts to nerd girl and you see her breaking out of her shell - hair is tidied, she wears contacts, clothes that are fashionable etc etc. Bird boy gives her flower and seed giftsd which is accepts happily. When he tries to give her bugs and worms she freaks out. Her classmates take notice to nerd girl's transformation. She is shy but happy with her newfound attention. Birdboy is happy but looks on sadly when she doesn't notice - he is a little jealous because now she'll get a boyfriend and he'll turn back into a bird soon. When the fated day for him to turn back into a pidgeon comes the main girl then tearfully glomps him begging him not to leave. He promises to always look after her and then turns into a pigeon. Month passes, main girl is much more popular now but she doesn't have a boyfriend. She is shocked and saddened when she goes to the park to find that her flock isn't there waiting for her. She cries on the bench thinking that bird boy forgot his promise to her. Suddenly a huge bouquet of flowers appear in front of her. Bird boy has made a deal with the tengu so that he can be with her forever. Last scene is sparkling happy flowers and light bursts as the two embrace and I gag on thinking up the most generic and sappy sweet shoujo romance story. Saddest part? I even have a Volume 2 Idea. Crows. Sexy Sexy Crow bad boy.

Volume 2: Everything is going fine. Bird boy has a job at the flower shop and lives at the local temple that pays homage to the tengu. Main girl visits him often for simple "dates" where they haven't even kissed yet because she is so shy. Bird boy is very smiley and patient with her but moments when she isn't looking you can see him gazing at her with intense longing. Everything is going fine except WABAM! One day a very sexy bad boy looking dude shows up at her school. He is perfect in sports, super smart, looks super handsome and tall. Agency scouts flock to the school's gate hoping to scout him as a model for their company. All the girls want him and all the guys want to be him. He ignores all of them to zero in on our nerd girl because this is a shoujo manga and that happens all the damn time. He does that super possesive 'traps girl against wall by leaning in too close to her with one hand on wall' thing so that he can seduce her. She is petrified by shyness and GOMENASAIs the fuck away. Later on she talks to her bird boy about the new buy when suddenly a black feather drifts between them. A crow caws loudly as it lands on the temple roof behind him. Suddenly in a flurry of black feathers that handsome classmate emerges, sitting on the roof's edge. In that typical arrogant bad boy way, he informs the stunned duo that he is the right hand man of the tengu princeling and was given the ability to shift at will between bird form and human form. He was bored a lot as everything seems soooo beneath him but the love between a commoner (pigeon) and human looked like fun. He wants to amuse himself by stealing her for himself. Birdboy who a moment ago looked like such a sweet guy turns all serious and manly and makes his own possessive declaration, because this is manga and even the good guys say silly things. We enter a series of petty micro competition between the two avians turn humans where they vie for nerd girl's love. Even though she has declared SUKI! to bird boy she can't help but be attracted to crow boy, especially when he shows her his desperate, weak, and needy side (possibly him crying about a tragic childhood and dead momma, and how he is jealous of pigeon boy for his happier childhood). Story seems to show that she can't really pick but when pigeon boy saves her life from a jealous princeling (who isn't explicitly stated as gay but you know totally is because he fawns over crow boy and seems effeminate because once again, this is manga). Princeling had pushed her in front of a truck, again, typical manga move, and pigeon boy saves her but gets super injured. Crow boy get's mad at priunceling and yells at him. Turns out the REAL reaon crow boy left the Tengu world was because they had a huge fight over how petty and jealous princeling gets. He demands the princeling to save pigeon boy, whose bleeding head is in the lap of the weeping nerd girl. Princeling is crying because no one has ever yelled at him before and he says he can't because his tengu powers are super weak. Dread and gloom as rain bears down on them, nerd girl begs pigeon boy not to leave her, he declares his love and they final;ly share their first kiss. Princeling who witnesses what manga says is true love for the first time and in a sign of steeled resolution says he'll try to save pigeon boy. We are led to believe that he failed and pigeon boy still died because nerd girl places flowers at a grave but no, we see that nerd girl, crow boy and pigeon boy are paying respects to the crow boy's mom's grave. They walk back to the shaded tree where the princeling is leaning against, hiding from the sun with a giant veiled hat. He is petulant in his question of "you guys done?", he then teleports them back to the city in a whirl of feathers as we see nerd girl and pigeon boy hold hands tightly. Crow boy actually smiles lovingly at them and then the princeling. Once again, I die a little on the inside over how sappy this is, and how I actually have a Volume 3 idea planned out. WEDDING and TENGU KINGDOM.
