This will be our last Furpocalypse after attending the con for almost 10 years. 10 YEARS. My first furry convention, where I met the love of my life and so many great friends. This is a great ending to a great chapter. I have no desire to go to the new hotel once furpoc moves, its expensive to board the dogs, plus we would rather spend the time and money with our amazing daughter as she gets older.
Its bittersweet. So many amazing memories but life goes on in other ways ;)
We want to plan maybe a big group hibachi dinner with our good friends as a last hurrah as it is likely you guys will not see us at cons for a while.
Roder is arriving Friday and I'm only staying Sat and Sun.

I will still continue to make fursuit stuff when I have the time and we still plan to attend meets when we are able to. I would love to deal at a con sometime in the future.

OMG AC 17 was amazing this year!
Arrived wed and met our roomies which were so nice and awesome! They made badges for us and I cannot thank them enough for how great they made the con for us. We went to the Zoo on wed and then crashed for the night.
We did the sunset fursuit cruise which was so fantastic I am soso glad we got tickets.
I got to suit a lot and meet tons of new people and friends including Neo! We adopted her as our 'furchild' for the whole weekend. She is a great kid and such fun. Roder an I got lots of suiting in, but it was just so crazy busy! Went to my first floor wars and that was really fun to watch.
Got my rave on fri and sat. Did the fursuit parade which was a blast. The weather held out and even though I didn't get to do everything I wanted to do I still feel like I had the best AC ever. We ate at all the good places and I went to the Youtubers meet with Neo, thank goodness I did I got to meet a lot of Amazing suiters.
Another highlight for me was meeting Rosebud, another Zuri Suiter!!!! He was super sweet.

I caught the tail end of the dance comp, Congrats to Strobes for 1st!!!
I found lots of goodies in the dealers den this year as well. No drama, NO MIGRAINES or anxiety!!!!!

Since I totally forgot that I have a dr appt on thurs AT 11am (what the fuck are those chances?) so I def couldn't and can't get a room.
BUT we found a room with 2 other nice female suiters that are supersponser. It will be just us 4 and we get a bed as well. Phew. Con planning is a drag sometimes! I would have loved to get a room and have awesome people room with us.

Due to life changing events, my full time job, and my horrible luck of getting hurt (I sprained my foot AGAIN)
I will no longer be making fursuits. I just can't do it anymore like I used to. My migraines are too rampant, I hurt myself because I have shitty luck and I have other issues.

Try to have a better time than a couple years ago. Going solo for the most part just because that's what I want to do.

Well I got my surgery done on the 9th (the day after my birthday lol) I was a freaking wreck the days before the surgery, I kinda went into a freakout mode. I'm very anxious and I've never had any type of surgery or major injury. Found out about 2-3 weeks ago but I have been doing too much work even on a lite scale so I still got 10-14 days recovery time.

I'm also moving in a week.
What does this mean?
No standing commission work- simply because I cannot do it. I need to heal. As soon as I'm better I'll resume. I even had to restrict my arm to a sling because I keep forgetting that I can't do things lol
Lots of bed rest. The incision is a lot bigger and deeper that I was expecting.

After THAT though I'll be good to go!
Man what a nightmare these past months have been

Well I'm smack in the middle of moving to my new place, getting it ready and fixing up the old place at the same time.
I had to stop commission work for a few weeks to get things going again.
Been trying to create a balance of work, driving, packing, house, painting, etc.
it's been a little nuts! driving myself into the ground here....

I will once again be moving my whole studio to an even bigger room (thats not so freezing)

My GSD pup Luna is 6months and 60lbs now. Started getting the dogs accustomed to the new house.

I feel awful for being in an artist block but I still have everything I need to finish standing commissions.
I ask for the commissioners to please be patient while I am going through this. I appreciate the understanding greatly.
I am also getting surgery in the next couple months. Not sure when yet so that kind ruins a bit of things, its not major but I can imagine I wont be feeling too comfortable. :/

My medication weaning has been going fantastic and I will be off of one of them before the con which I am so pleased and proud of (it was a bitch to wean off of) Still dealing with over 12 migraines a month but meh w/e

Hawaii was an amazing trip with my mate, we had a lot of fun times together and wish I could do it all over again. We go to see a lot of cool wildlife including snorkeling in hanauma bay which is a nature reserve reef. Had lots of fantastic food.

Work is going slow, I am trying to wean off of one of my difficult medications and its causing many migraines (that last for days) dizziness, and nausea. I'm trying so hard to do things but I can barely go food shopping for us. It may take up to 6 months for me to get off of it and it may mean I might be sickly (what's new -___-💢) for a bit on and off. I am not taking any commissions than I have because of this. I dont know how it will effect me in the long run.

So parden the lack of updates/ pictures while I go through this.

We will miss all you fuzz butts that are going! Hope every one has a great time. Roder and I will be leaving for Hawaii on Saturday and wont be back till the 21st. Helicopter ride, horseback riding, reef snorkeling, rainforest trek, and beach. Yup. Be jealous. Lol

Well I arrived safely in Seattle after a missed flight and a 5hr wait... Leaving tonight halfway to the resort and then tomorrow arriving at the resort in the mountains for my cousin's wedding. Did some sight seeing but unfortunately we didn't have time to go to the science museum or the aquarium. I hope I can do that after the wedding. Did get to see the space needle and it was a beautiful day!
Only day two..... Hoping my anxiety calms down a bit >.>
Most likely visiting Mt saint Helens and Mt Rainier.
Jet lag isn't too bad.... But man am I tired!
I also won't get to see wild killer whales :(

It was a nice weekend in Montreal, I was surprised that the hotel was sooo fancy! The con was a little bit on the dull side, mainly because the area we were allowed in was so small, not much room to hang out like we are used to. I only got 2 pictures of suiters cause I never saw any of them, not many people roaming about. Plus we dont speak french and while some where nice enough to chat with us in English some did not and we didn't understand anything...even our microwave or milk at the store XD Let's just say its nice to be in the US again.
We did see the BioDome which was super cool, hopped on the Metro to go downtown a bit and then had poutine for the first time. Mmm!
Roder was surprised with his full body suit and got more hugs than me haha
We went to the Fri dance and sat we were just too pooped to dance (it was hot and steamy from a fog machine) dance wasnt bad though. Fursuit parade was okay, bad organization for the picture (there were 67 suiters I think?) Which is a lot more than they probably expected.
Got a photo shoot done and did the fursuit games. Our team came in first :) poguyguy passed out from heat exhaustion though so they had to end the games early.
Overall it was fun but definitely not at the top of the list.

Doggies are at the kennel and now just packing for our first out of country con. Leaving first thing tomorrow morning. Luckily its only a 3 1/2hr drive for us. Which is nothing XD
We're hoping to have some fun and enjoy a small con and the sights around Montreal.
There is going to be a big surprise too!

I am finally trying to get back on track with my suit stuff, setting goals, time limits, and such. It's hard because there is always so much house/yard work to do! It's still been pretty chilly and windy here in NH, barely reaching into the 50's
I have been making trips to RI monthly to help out at my old pet store for a day and to do some work for my grandad. Migraines are limited but still getting them every now and then along with other issues. It's confusing and frustrating to try to balance out my medication/get off of it. But everyone has their good and bad days.

Our hotel and registration is set for What the Fur in Canada! So it's a definite go. Not to mention in 10 days I'll be 27! O~0 yikes!
I really can't wait to spend time with Roder in Montreal. It'll be a nice change than the usual.
Then after may....it's just going to fly buy! Cousins' fancy ass wedding in Washington state for a week in June
then in July Hawaii for a week and a half with Roder!
I haven't ever traveled this much since 3rd grade!

A LOT of things have happened the past month, for one I quit my job at the pet store up here. My manager went over the line and was verbally abusive, degrading, and insulting me. It was only getting worse and worse. Apparently swearing is 'part of his vocabulary' as his manager wife puts it. Then he proceeds to tell me how do I get away with calling myself an animal expert. So with that being said, I do not work for people like that and will not tollerate it. Their loss! Not worried about it.

So with that being said I will go back to my suit making, this time I have a bit less problems now and am going to try new work ethics. I have been working with a chiropractor for my back and migraines. My anxiety is becoming more manageable.

We got our Chameleon! Will post a picture of him, he is so cool and shy but super friendly for a cham.

I also adopted a re-home bird from work before I left. After loosing my green cheek conure, Laharl, a few months ago I have been really missing him. Wasn't sure if I was going to get another conure. But this little guy just showed up and he came home with me the next day :) he's a 1 1/2yr old pineapple green cheek conure. We decided to name him Loki. He's been wonderful.

I have a commission list that is pretty full that I will be working on now.

I feel a bit better about my suit making, still trying to figure out some things but I know I have a few things planned. I was just so happy with how the Aussie suit came out, that was a big project for me and I'm glad he chose me as the maker! I loved working on him even if it was through some of the most stressful things in my whole life with my dad passing away and all.
Things have settled down a bit. Job is going well at the petstore, just got my 'official' staff raise. I have become so familiar with the fish since they are all under my care. I sneak away sometimes to play with the cockatiels :P

Roder and I are also adding a new pet to the family! (yes I'm obsessing over this thing) but it has me really excited and I can't wait to get him. A male Veiled Chameleon. Grows about 24" long and is a unique and challenging creature. After all the reptiles I have owned, this one takes the spotlight. I will be sure to post pictures when we get him <3 We have a 24x24x48 inch screen cage with custom reinforced ledges for sticks and vines and a complete auto misting system (mistking) Going to put lots of live plants in there.
Going to the Manchester Reptile Expo at the end of march.

Health: (just for info sake) I am doing great on my meds so far, migraines have still been a challenge though. I am going to be seeing a chiropractor for the first time for them and my ssssssssuper spine as Roder calls it lol (scoliosis) I hope to see great results as my migraine medication only does so much and they get so bad sometimes and ruin my life.

I probably won't be taking anymore personal commissions anymore, maybe one or two a year until I can get things straightened out. My lifestyle and luck are proving to not be compatible with my fursuit making after several years of trying. Unless I find an easier and more time manageable way, I will just be selling pre-mades and tails. Keeping up with the house is far too expensive that I had to get a 'part time' job which only leaves me with 3 days to work on suit stuff while catching up on things I can't do working 9hr shifts everyday. It breaks my heart I can't become a full time suitmaker. I have too much bad luck with things going wrong and too many mental and physical issues that keep me from living a normal life. Where some people can pump out a few suits a month, I just don't have the ability to do so. I have too many other responsibilities that get in the way and I don't like how it effects my suit business.

So stay tuned.... I'm trying to work things out still. My new job hours will be changing several more times. They want me full time at 50+ hrs a week and I'm struggling to keep them from giving me more than 35 . Same shit I had to deal with at my last job. I was looking for like 16-20hrs but it seems they need me too much.

For the people I'm still working on and going to be working on will be completed but no more with a deadline. I just hate going past deadlines even though I have no control over it.
Please keep in mind I will still be dealing with the paperwork and selling a house since my dad's passing for up to a year.

I've been pretty quiet since our move which went well and our house is very nice now, my animals are all here (including our new rescue sled dog Alaskan Husky, Dixie) work room is quite the mess but it's completely functional and I have been able to get a lot of work done since its much easier having everything in one space.

A lot has happened life wise (of course, when does it not) I have been getting better as far as health wise with the help of my new DRs. I feel a bit more stable but I lost one of my precious parrots last week out of the blue, which was a tough loss. Then a week later (Jan 11th) I got a call that my dad had passed away(he never lived with me, he was in Puerto Rico at the time). I don't need to go into details because this isn't the place but it was another devastating blow. I knew it was going to happen. But since I am the next kin I have a lot of decisions and things to take care of. It's been very stressful and my uncle is being a major douche in the matter. Me and my dad were very close.

Commissions are on on hold for a little bit until things get sorted out. This is a very rough time for me.

BUSINESS updates: Aussie suit is almost done. I am so close and then something bad happens. But he's looking great so far. I am also going to be offering pre-made heads/paws/tails this year. I am also working with a new foam head base by Stuffed Panda that I may be using a lot for my future work. I have a lot of great ideas I want to try out.
I have a few other non time based commissions that I need to finish before taking anything.

It a finally happening after 7 months of dedicated work from my mate🎉. Today we are moving a shit ton of stuff (Mainly my shit. I probably have about 40 boxes)
It's going to be a little hectic but once everything is in place, that's it, no more going back and forth and stuff. Beautiful work room space and all my animals with me.
Pray that me and Roder dont kill each other in the process ;) I kid , we behave ourselves especially if I cook him that coma inducing meatloaf
