But now, I can't remember any of it. My camera was lost in its final moments at the Pittsburgh Airport.

I had recorded video for much of my con time. As most of you know, conventions are hectic. It's hard to remember anything. Many con reports are vague.
A friend of mine, before the con, had convinced me to take pictures. I was so emphatic for her opinion, that I went out and bought a new camera, even though I"d be poor. I wanted to take pictures for her too-- even though I don't like most fursuits.
I kept taking more pictures and video and had a great time. While at the Airport, ready to leave, I was proud of the great time I had. I reviewed all the pictures and video I had taken. I had at least 4GB of stuff-- not much, but it's a great load.
After showing pictures to a fur named Zentra, I walked to the ticket counter, got my bag checked and took my carryon to the escalator. I don't remember having my camera after that until one more time. I wanted to take a picture and video of
Wulven (not sure if it's the same).
That's when I noticed I didn't have my camera.
It's quite possible that it went MIA in between when
khranok and I went through the security check (he was before me).. but I don't think I had it on me then. Khranok says he thought I did, but he's just as fuzzy as I am :/ (It's not his camera, anyways!)
I ran around like crazy for an hour, asking if the security had found it, getting re-passed through security, asking the ticket counters if they had seen it, asking lost and found...
They say that pickpocketers are very few and far in between. I just can't conceive that my camera was just dropped by me and never brought to security.
IF YOU SEE ANY FUR CARRYING A MODEL OF MY CAMERA, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I KNOW A FEW IDENTIFYING FEATURES THAT SHOULD HELP YOU VERIFY IT'S MINE.
(I say fur 'cause I think there're better cameras going through airport security every day, and a normal pickpocketer may go for my wallet. :/ )

I don't want to think of this as the 'worst AC ever' just because of how it ended, but it's looking this way. In many ways, it was the best-- and now I have little concrete evidence to help me remember it.
If I'm lucky, I may see those pictures and video again. I don't care about the camera anymore.
PS: Tomorrow is my birthday. 8| Bad timing, me.

I take a long time to draw, so I'm not a big fan of drawing. I don't like how my sketches look, either, so I try to do better than just sketches. However, if there's time to kill, I can be eager to get into a sketchbook and draw something... if you'd let me :P
I'll probably be drawing my Furi brush pen, if I can find it. Makes the lines I try to draw online come out on paper, but I dunno where it went..

Posted 16 years agoHey everybody-- in case you forgot, the pictures I mentioned one/two weeks ago are gone :S
Secondly, I had some guests this weekend. I was glad to have the very fun, intelligent, and kind itsatrap and tohri . I sincerely hope to have them as guests, or to go and visit them again.
Anyways, onto the PC issue:
I'm having issues installing this operating system onto my PC. My dad brought up a laptop, and luckily nobody was using it.. so now I am. :o
I don't feel like taking out my old HD, moving shit around, etc.. so I'm just going to wait this one out and let this laptop work. :/

Wow, so it's my PC Causing the tablet issues?

1. Formatted PC, started from nothing. The cursor shook, even though the first drivers I installed were the tablet drivers. (SP3)
2. My sister's computer (Vista) had the same drivers installed, and was moved to the same place in the house-- Her laptop less than a foot away from my tower, my tablet in my lap. No shaking and if there was, it was so small I couldn't notice it.
So it's not radio waves,
and it's not my software,
and it's not my tablet itself.
It's my computer's hardware... :s Probably the USB hookups... everythign else works fine though, so I wish I had a better answer.. T_T
This is driving me nuts.

Tablet Problem: FIXED!
Posted 17 years agoThanks everybody for your advice. It wasn't radio frequency or anything.
What happened was that I recently installed video drivers for a new video card-- and so when I thought, "This problem only started in the past week or two, and rather suddenly..", I decided to see if it was a program starting up.
I found out that it was a SERVICE (msconfig from the run menu) starting at windows boot that was causing the problem-- I disabled all services and found out that the tablet's jitters stopped. I enabled them one-by-one until I found out the one causing the issue (the video card's driver service).

I don't have a scanner, so drawing with a tablet's my only real choice. :|

Parkinson's Wacom Pen :/
Posted 17 years agoI just tried drawing in SAI, and the drawing went fine for a bit.. but then I noticed my mouse was shaking and wouldn't stop :/
My normal USB mouse is fine, but the pen sucks..
I'm going to wait for Wacom to get back to me-- but until then, maybe a reboot'd fix my rpoblem.. :/

But many of you are already making judgements. None of you know my motivations, and all you are hearing is the end of a game of telephone.
In the end, it comes down to this:
Do you trust me in that I must've had reasons for doing what I did?
Or do you distrust me and can't find any validity for doing what I did?
Besides that, it's back to your regularly scheduled program.
If I get too many negative comments, I'm deleting this journal. Just un-watch me if you disagree with what I've done. I can respect that.
I'm going to make a LJ post about this that you may or may not see.

Retcon-- acceptable, or is it a form of laziness?
Posted 17 years agoOne of the reasons why I don't accomplish any larger things is because of how much work the 'larger' things take.
On teh same vein, one of the elements frequently showing its head in this hydra of a 'larger thing' is 'storyline continuity'.
Is it lazy for writers to 'retcon' things? EG: "Actually, Though we said Dracula could only be beaten by the Vampire Killer, we meant to say a person who has the BLOOD that can WIELD the vampire killer." or such... Thta is, the above statement coming in a later 'episode' or 'release'.
Kinda like if Maude came back into the simpsons, they'd be like, "It turned out that waht we said happened, didn't happen." or something, you know?
IS this laziness and do people need to think of the whole scope of their story before writing it? On the same vein, if a story can only be done in installments that may contradict itself, should the ret-con thing be forgiven?

Posted 17 years agoI'd like to call FurFright a success only because of one person who was a great center for 
Kyorei and I. This is a major shoutout to 
Marcleonhardt because of how much time he spent with Alyson and I, making sure we had a good time. He was 'there' for us when we needed somebody to talk to or something to do. I'm kinda tearing up as I write this, but I have to say a major thank you to you, dude. We got to do a lot of fun things, learn a bunch of new stuff, and meet other cool people thanks to you. :3
Sure, he got sugar base on me (which doesn't come out unless you have salt water, you fothermucker), slammed a master dick against my head, and humped me (see Kyorei's pictures), it was all in the name of good fun... and my displeasure ;_; It still gave everybody amusement though. :3
Now that I've got the misty-eyed appreciations out of the way, up next is the incredibly awesome
yifferfox who was our amazing roomie as usual. Always courteous, always funny, and full of vigor for work. The first day, he hadn't slept the night prior! And yet there he was in the artist's alley, drawing commissions...
BUT HE WAS *WAY* too interested in "Being the Guy" if you know what I mean ;_;
Third up, I'd like to mention everybody who I had met before and everybody who I had gotten to know better. It was great, as usual, to see
eradragon. I heard he had a boring time at points, and I can completely understand. Alyson and I were reaching for things to do, so we were glad to go out with Era for Tacos and Sushi :3

phantasmas joined our party for Sushi at Shingo's and lunch at Wok's. I had kinda wanted to talk to Dragoneer before, and knew Damaratus and Phantasmas from before.. Also kinda shy to talk to them .. ^^;; Before dinner, Aly had found me Hot Sex >;3 A liqueor I like. :3 I never thought I'd get to know such great people, but after lunch with them at Wok's and lunch at Shingo's, I'm glad to say I had met them. I hope to run into you guys next con!

Also, Jack gave a pretty funny masquerade act-- though I think he said he does it all the time, so I guess it's just new to me. It was great to eat with him at lunch. :) I saw him at the last FurFright, and now I have seen enough of him to think pretty highly of him.
Xander Scaggs-- I forget your FA name, but seeing you in all your various forms throughout the con was a great boon. Thanks for going, and I'm sure the staff was helped greatly by your hard work! :3 <3
People I were glad to meet without Marc's help were
Teneba (who is kinda cute, and I'm straight!) who did a GREAT job at RHythm Tengoku Gold. I also got to run into some "Non-furry" named 'Samwise' (the 'magician' at the Masquerade), Teneba's buddy Ziera (no FA). I also ran into 
LupisLupine who had previously talked with Aly at last year's con, and I got to chat with. He's got a picture of us, so go to it! ;)
It was nice to see
Indigo and 
Kee_Fox. If you didn't know, Kee got me to go to my first con in 2005 (furFright) and it was YifferFox who I got to hang out with and have a good time with. It was gereat. :) I also got to see 
Blitzava again.
Furthermore, I ran into
Comus and 
KNGRU-- both of whom's art i had known before (Comus for QUITE some time), and never expected to see them there. :D Comus is a great conversationalist-- I hope I get to his level of conversationalism :3
There are a LOT more I have to mention-- like,
Mottenfest (who said that they liked my art? I'm not good at sarcasm, but I believe Mott <:3 )... and.. *thinks* I also got to say hi to :o-kemono: and a buddy of his-- some of Alex's art in the FurFright conbook was awesome! O_O
The non-furry bartender, Scott, was great to meet. Also, Comus's buddy (some centar, who I forgot.. his badge was awesome) was very cool, too. I remember him showing off his 'look behind you' mirror glasses to Marc. :3
I ran into
rourkie! He sat at the table in the dealers room with us while we drew, as well as another time earlier in the weekend 8D
And
Drakky was there-- stabbing poor fursuiters! ;_; shame on you! I'm glad Era was a nice guy and got you the bean burrito I didn't supply you <:3 Era-- what a cool dude! :3! <3
Also,
Daigo was a cool guy-- saw him, too :D Alyson has a pic with him in his gallery... I'm sure Ben made sure he wanted to 'be the guy' as well. ^^;;
Ben, Daigo, thanks for being there with us, too. I appreciate it.
Well... I think I'm tapped. I tried to think of everybody else I met.. but it's a stretch. I'm glad I met everybody there. I had a great time thanks to these good memories. Thank you, dudes.

Even silly comments, or serious ones.. all of them helped me out. Even if you didn't like the pic, what mattered was the fact I had the freedom to draw what I wanted and people who I felt would appreciate it.
(This includes those people who liked it enough to favorite it, too 8) <3 )
I figure maybe listing you all by icon may be embarassing, but rest assured-- I originally made a list of all your icons and intended to paste here. 8) I'm still a bit shy and fearful, but your words do mean a lot to me. (And yes, I do mean each of you specifically. ;P )
