I just got home a few hours ago from surgery. Three "small" incisions and a drug-induced haze later, I'm in pain, I'm exhausted, and relatively hormonal.

Pictures of incisions and hospital bracelets upon request, in case anyone feels the need to ask for proof.

Now to rest for a few days...

As for the important update:

ON MAY 25th I WILL BE GOING IN FOR SURGERY.

In a nutshell, they're going in to remove some evil and painful things from my reproductive parts and the particular surgery, while minimally invasive, could leave my shoulders and arms sore for a few days. Let alone the incisions themselves, but that's a no-duh kind of thing.

I will be going in for a laparoscopy, and while I could hope for "keyhole" it may be "open" because I am heftier, this will lead to a longer recovery period. I will be working again after the first few days, barring any medical emergencies that arise due to the procedure. As a quick explanation, two incisions are made, tools inserted in one, and a light/camera tool in the other. They will fill me up with a gas to expand my stomach so they can reach things easier. The gas will put pressure on my diaphragm, which MAY cause the discomfort in my shoulders. Google. Is friend.

Anyway! I will be working hard until then, so please don't fret! <3 Love y'all!

SO, yesterday out of the blue, my tablet starts misbehaving. Nothing really DRASTIC, but enough that work will be super super slow. See, my tablet has started to add little dots right before or after a line in my art programs. All of them. Except MAYBE Manga Studio. (I haven't played with it a lot to find out...)

It's not my drivers, it's not my programs, and it's not my computer (I don't think) and I've done just about everything a normal techie would tell me to do. Reset, uninstall/reinstall, check the plugs, check the settings, blah blah blah. It leads me to think it might be my pen that's the issue, but since I don't have $25 to drop right this very moment, it's kind of....Unable to be tested. If y'all want proof, I can link the youtube video I posted asking for help (that no one has been able to help me with...v.v). That's about the best I can do.

So please be patient with me, I will do my best to get work out as best as I can, but I really don't know how well this is going to go. >.<

I have updated my prices. As I have said previously, I was going to raise them. Hopefully these prices are agreeable for both myself and my commissioners, and won't have to change for a while. What else is new? I have a new profile layout, and all commissions have been put into the proper folders and have been given keywords (le gasp!). Also, I have included a new Skype profile just for commissioners to reach me at!

At the end of May, ALL of my old Iron Artist commissions WILL BE REMOVED from my page. That's right, gone, deleted! So, make sure that you save them to your hard drives before then. Old adoptables will be scrapped and/or deleted if they didn't sell within a few months of being posted. All YCHs that were still open and unclaimed before the end of March are no longer available, and should have been deleted from my gallery. If you previously purchased art from me and I was asked for a "Do Not Post" it WILL be posted within the following month, as I have been sitting on a couple that I was extremely proud of. This has been part of my ToS for a very long time, and I will no longer bend the rules for the select few. You may ask that I do not tag you in it, but you may not ask me to NOT post it. You commission my services, and these pieces provide examples that may not have been available previously.

Also! I am now offering traditional commissions! I'm sure many of you have noticed the slew of traditional art that has been posted lately (you can all thank that little bastard horse...;P). I am only offering sketches, inks, and pencil/marker colored pieces, as I am not yet comfortable with producing art in different mediums openly. However, should you desire oil pastels or water colors or acrylics, I may be willing to discuss a price with you, should you understand that these will be learning experiences/experiments for me.

Q: Will you do a trade with me?

A: At this point in time, I am not interested in a trade with anyone. This is nothing against you or your work. I have to prioritize my commissions and commissioners and I am afraid that I may not get to my end of the deal. So, no. My apologies!


Q: Will you draw x doing y to z?

A: If it's on my will not draw list, no. I will not. If it's on my WILL draw list, I will! However, I do appreciate the thought if you ask me if you do not see the particular thing you want on my lists.


Q: Will you draw x for me?

A: If you're willing to pay, probably. If you're wanting free art, I'm sorry, you've come to the wrong place!


Q: I really like the piece you did for me, may I post it to _____?

A: If you credit me and/or link to the original, and do not claim it as your own, please! Feel free!


Q: I'm going to ___ con and want to sell this picture of my character you drew as a print, may I?

A: No. Per my ToS, you may not use any art I have produced for monetary gain. You may make a print for yourself, but you MAY NOT sell any extra copies. If you gave them away to your friends for FREE however, you're welcome to do so.


Q: I really like this fetish art you drew, will you draw something like that for me?

A: Probably, though if you're thinking of my traditional pieces, those are experimental for me. Most fetishes I have not drawn, and probably never will. Please, again, if it's not on a list, ASK.


Q: I really like your art, but I can't afford it right now. Can you lower your prices?

A: Let me stop you right there. As an artist, I may charge as I please for what I think my time is worth. Asking me to lower my prices is to ask me to work for a wage that wouldn't support my time, nor my family. If you cannot afford it, please understand that there are two points; one, art is a luxury, you are not entitled to it. Two, if you really like an artist's work and can't currently afford it, save up! It's more rewarding that way!


Q: I saw digital paintings on your personal profile, why don't you offer those as commissions?

A: Digital paintings require a lot of time, and a lot of effort. Also, as I am still learning what techniques work, I don't feel it's responsible to offer a service I am not comfortable doing regularly. This does not mean that sometime in the future I wouldn't offer them, but right now, that is not an option. Thank you for you interest, though!


Q: Why do you constantly change your prices?

A: As I improve, or as my life situation changes, prices fluctuate to either earn me more profit, or bring in a lot of money in a short amount of time. But, from this point on, they will likely only raise. I will offer deals through journals on occasion though, so do check back every so often!


Q: Why won't you draw certain things?

A: There are multiple reasons I may not draw something, either from inexperience, or from sheer discomfort at the subject matter. Please respect my decision and response if what you're wanting as a commission does not wind up on my “good-to-go” list!


Q: You offer Amazon Wishlist commissions, what are those?

A: I offer this option as a way for people to buy something for me while being rewarded with art in return. Basically, your purchase must equal the amount of the commission you're wanting, with or without shipping and handling. For example, a single character full color image is $45. An item on my wishlist is $40 and shipping is $5. Using this example, the shipping brings you up to the total needed for that specific commission. On the other hand, you buy an item that is $45, and the shipping is $5. There's nothing extra gained by paying $50 in total on the order, as you still get the single character full color. It's actually better to buy a cheaper item for the best results in spending!


Q: Your page is run by three people, who should I contact if I can't reach this page?

A: This account is actually checked frequently, so you shouldn't need to reach anyone else. However, in the event I am unable to check this account, you may contact me directly at Solux, followed by my husband GameJunkie, or HeartstringPony and we'll get back to you ASAP!


Q: I want to get art with one of your characters, may I?

A: Sure! Please keep in mind that Iria and Soul are, in general, not available for adult commissions. Exceptions may be made for long time friends. For a full list of characters, please check my main profile gallery! Also, as an extra bonus, getting art with my characters knocks the price of each “per-character” charge down by $5.


Q: I want to purchase art as a gift for a friend, what's the rule on that?

A: There are several ways I can answer that. Mostly, it depends on if the person is OK with having art of their characters draw without permission, and if you're wanting it to be a surprise. Due to past mistakes I've made, I cannot take your word that they have given you permission and have to ask them. If their page says that it's okay, then yes. If their page says no and it's supposed to be a surprise, I am sorry that I will not be able to fulfill your commission request because I would not be able to ask them for their permission. If no, and it's NOT a surprise, I will ask on your behalf and then give you the proper response. An alternative to gift art that is not a surprise is to have them note me stating they give you permission for whatever commission you are wanting.


Q: Do you keep your Trello up-to-date?

It's updated often. However, I am human and do forget. If you don't see your name on the queue and you haven't gotten your commission or it hasn't been posted, PLEASE let me know. All I will require from you is your Paypal email and the original commission details to verify and get you added promptly!


Q: Do you work a set schedule?

A: No, I cannot work a set schedule due to many reasons. Most prominent is the fact I am the household taxi and errand driver. This means I am up and away from my desk at random hours of the day going who-knows-where. I work when I am able, which is usually mid-day, and the wee hours of the morning.

Q: Can you give me a specific date my commission will be done by?

A: No, unfortunately, due to the reason above. I never know when I'll be called one way or pulled the other. However, if you have a commission that you want by a certain date and time, I offer rush services for a fee. For 2-3 day completion, it is a charge equal to the cost of the commission or $40, whichever is cheaper at the time. For completion within 7 days, it is a $20 charge. Within 14 days is a $10 charge (may be waived if there are no other commissioners in queue). Anything longer than two weeks is not subject to a rush fee. The other option is to commission me a month out with the specific date, at no extra cost.


Q: Do you accept any other payment method besides Paypal and Amazon Wishlists?

A: At this time, I don't plan to accept any other method. I may research and explore new options at a later date, but right now I am content with the service Paypal provides.


Q: I want to get art with ____'s character, please!

A: This kind of goes hand in hand with the gift art question, but it's important enough to be answered again. I require their express permission (by them) to draw their character(s) with yours. Please have your commission idea lined out for me when you set up your slot, so I can pass it by them and get their approval of the idea. If they do not approve, you will be required to discuss it with them before I will accept your business on the matter.


Q: I forgot to mention this change during the approval stage, can it be fixed?

A: You are allowed to request edits three times during the sketch stage. Please make sure you really examine the piece. If lining has begun or has been finished, you will have to pay extra for any edits after this stage. Once lining has begun, minor edits may be allowed. If there is a large edit needing to be made, I will not be able to fix the image.


Q: I only have a text reference sheet, is this okay?

A: Text references are OK as long as you can provide a clear and labeled color palette and are very specific in what you want.

Q: The colors on this image are wrong, can they be fixed?

A: Depending on where the mistake was made, yes. If the mistake was on my end, I can and will fix it. This is why I require a color palette. If the color palette was incorrect at the time of commissioning, I will not go back and fix the colors. Please keep this in mind when commissioning me.

Q: Why do you charge for adult now, where you didn't previously?

A: This is mostly due to the fact a large amount of my commissions are adult. I often prefer general to mature art, though I frequently offer adult themed YCHs. I'm choosing to charge extra for adult because the poses and content require more effort to pull together in the way the commissioner likes. I've deleted this requirement from my ToS, as it has not proven beneficial to me.

Until further notice, commissions are CLOSED. I'm going to be trying to finish up everything I have and owe at the current moment.

I'm going on vacation soon to see my family in Colorado, so I want to try and get everything done, and it wouldn't feel right to have commissions on my queue while I'm off and having fun. @_@ So there's that.

When I come back, and before I open again for commissions there will be another revision to my ToS as well, to further clarify things, including fees for extra stuff. Heads up, there WILL be a charge for adult work coming soon. I'll explain why in a later journal as an Q&A style journal.

Prices are also expected to jump up a tiny little bit. Not a large amount, and if you received a quote from me before the price update, that quote will be good for 30 days from the time I updated my prices. That will also be coming up in the Q&A journal. Also, it will soon be REQUIRED that you have a color pallet with your ref sheet (one thrown together by you is FINE) or a ref sheet that IS NOT SHADED IN ANY WAY. My new tablet and monitor are having some color discrepancies I can't seem to fix where one seems more vibrant and warm while the other is pale and cool. Yes, I've adjusted settings and tried every possible combo. I have it now where it is CLOSE but there are still some variations between monitors. As long as I can color dropper the character colors, it shouldn't matter how it looks on my end as long as it matches yours.

MYNXLETTES ARE A CLOSED SPECIES. You may not create your own. You may not copy or redistribute any existing Mynxlettes. The only way to obtain a Mynxlette is by purchasing one that is for resell or through me.

Species: Mynxlette

Bio:
Mynxlettes live in a variety of places, from lush forests to arid deserts to bustling cities, these lithe felines love to travel. Often they find it hard to stay in one place, though it is not uncommon for them to settle in one place and stay there until it is necessary to move. These creatures are musically inclined, and thus many have careers in the music industry. Though they are inclined toward music, it does not mean they lack other talents. Like other species and races, they have blacksmiths, carpenters, doctors, lawyers, even politicians.

They are friendly creatures, often welcoming newcomers and strangers with ease. They love to socialize and it is uncommon for there to be a Mynxlette who does not enjoy company and companionship. Most Mynxlette's are more inclined to the romantic side of a relationship, preferring sex only when wishing to reproduce.

It is more common to find female Mynxlettes. Their male counterparts are often more restless and are less likely to settle in one place. Females are slim and short, their muscles less defined than males. This does not mean they are weak, however. Their figures hide their strength. The average female Mynxlette is between 5'3" and 5'9" in height. Male Mynxlettes are taller, and not as slim as females, though they rarely appear "buff". Donning more athletic builds, males are more likely to be found in heavy labor jobs. Males typically stand between 5'8" and 6'3" in height. Weights vary between each individual and their lifestyle.

Their social structure varies between locations and groups, though gender equality is a social norm regardless of where they are located. Truly, male and female Mynxlettes can do any job or task that their counterpart can do, save for reproductive functions. This means it is just as common to find a father Mynxlette raising a cub as it is to find a female doing the same, or in any workplace environment.

It is possible for there to be Mynxlettes in the LGBTQ crowd, and it is highly uncommon for them to be discriminated.

Basics:
-Bodies typically run hot, above 99.4-F but below 106.7-F
-Do not have a natural aversion to water.
-Average female at can lift between 25lbs and 140lbs at maximum. Average males can lift between 45lbs and 300lbs at maximum.

I just got my computer backed up and most of my files restored from the external, however that did not leave me enough time to even start the stream.

SO.

First ten commenters get a free headshot sketch, just comment your ref.

After that, the previous deals I had available (BOGO Sketches, 1/2 off Flat Color and Up) will be available through THIS JOURNAL ONLY, until further notice. All funds are going to supply my baby girl her Christmas.

So...When all free headshot slots are grabbed, I will post a final comment beneath them. After that, just comment to claim one of the deals. You can, of course, claim a slot of the deals before all ten headshots are claimed. One headshot per person, please. :)

I've noticed this a bit here recently, with people buying on my YCH quick buys and auctions. The typical rule is that you must pay me within 24 hours of the time you've claimed it and I've sent you an invoice. I send a note when the invoice is sent. I check periodically of you've read the note. If I see that you have, I give you time before checking on the payment. But when your note has been read for more than four or so hours, and I have not received my payment, I will assume you do not intend to pay and will put the ych back up, and cancel the invoice.

Artists have these rules because this is our business. Many of us need the money to pay on bills or buy food for us and our families. If you do not pay on time and within minutes agreed to, you make it difficult for us to make ends meet. Yes, we could get jobs elsewhere. However, some of us have problems that keep us from being able to work outside of our homes, or have to do art for a living because those we live with have schedules that aren't flexible. For me, it's the chronic pain I suffer in my knees, hips, and back, as well as being the only licensed driver in my home with a roommate working in another city. Art is my only means of work.

If you don't pay us on time, or you constantly 'have something come up', you can cost us the chance to make the money we need. Art is a luxury item. If you don't have the money to spend on it, but bid or claim slots anyway, maybe you should rethink your priorities. If you're not going to be able to pay within the time previously set and agreed on, and consistently do so, you will be banned from all future auctions/YCHs. You won't be barred from regular commissions unless you constantly ask for a piece and then never return messages. Non payment of regular commissions will receive three warnings. After that, you will be barred from those as well. Those barred from regular commissions will be barred from auctions, YCHs, and adoptable as well.

Took a break for a few days, been dealing with some BS offline, from not being an aunt because the kid was adopted out, to my house and vehicle being vandalized.

Probably with a handful of hair styles each, facial expressions, tails, ears, noses, maybe clothes. I'd probably do varying breast sizes and for adult users, varying peen sizes and types.

Also thinking the base price would be $45, and when new parts came out you'd pay like...$5-10 extra for ALL the new parts to constantly be sent to you until 2016. Of course, the "extras" option would only come in to play if I updated it.
