Live Stream Tutorial Now!
Posted 15 years agoI figure with what limited knowledge I have on drawing and such I'd at least provide some insight on what I know. And plus it'd be good practice for me as well. Cause it's always very very important to continue brushing up on your basics.
Any who I'll be streaming live in about 30-45 minutes until who knows how long.
On a side note I'll be saving these to my on demand as well as Auto Pilot for future viewing ^^

Gramps Hospitalization Update!!
Posted 15 years agoLast night I received word that he went under the knife. The doctors said the issue was within his intestinal track, and so they removed a large portion of it.
According to my Aunt they say he made it through far better than expected. But they will need to observe him for the next few days to possibly a week.
So i'm really excited that he pulled through, however I won't have any income till he gets released so that I can resume my watch over him. Hopefully I can get some commission work in during the meantime to help supplement that.
Anyway thanks for all the kind words of support, if there's anything that can be done to help it's hopefully through either commissions or donations. Which are greatly appreciated.

Hospitalized: Updated
Posted 15 years agoAn update on my previous Journal found here --> http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1619067/
They gave him 2 units of blood to replenish what he lost. After the cat scan they noticed a growth on his pancreas their not sure if it's a tumor or what, however when attempting a colon-oscapy it continued to give him pain.
On top of that they transferred him over to the cardiac specialist as his heart rate was going at an alarming rate due to agitation. In his mental condition he forgets why he's there, and why he has to stay in bed, so he gets agitated when they make him stay in bed.

Hospitalized
Posted 15 years agoLast night per usual I was watching my grandfather.
Unfortunately he had to be taken to the emergency room in the early morning hours. To which I had no choice but to call 911 because upon doing my normal checking up on him to make sure he's dry while he sleeps, I came upon him in a very weakened state trying to get up. His whole lower body covered in blood (among other natural body substances).
Naturally I freaked out because I thought he was going to die, but I kept a cool enough head to help him move off and away from the mess to clean him up enough to try to relax and ease whatever pain and discomfort he was in.
I was shaken up a bit because as you can assume this event was far from the norm by any stretch of the imagination. But rest assured I'm fine
This morning I received a call from my Aunt whom went with my grandfather. She said he's stabilized and on pain medication as he continually complained of abdominal pains. But he's set to go in for a cat scan shortly, along with some tests to determine what happened.
Her and I believe it may have been a bleeding ulcer of some sort, though I'm thinking his severe indigestion may have been a contributing factor in some manner, shape or form or which ever.
At any rate I know he's in good hands, and that they'll take care of him and get him back to health where we can resume our daily care for him at home.
For those wondering what his condition is it's as follows.
Age:87
Illnesses:
Spinal Cancer (which migrated from his prostate)
Dementia
Alzheimer
Type 2 Diabetic
Surprisingly enough with as progressed as each of those ailments have become we still feel he's got at the very least 5 years left before he goes. And this incident doesn't affect that feeling.
For those reading this and sending your best wishes and or prayers, I certainly appreciate it, and thank you. I'm going to do my best to continue doing whats needed, and with the support of those closest to me I'll be fine.
Love you all ^^ (especially my Serkeetah)

LiveStream w/ Requests!! (please read first)
Posted 15 years agoYea I'm streaming some art.
I plan to do requests on the second half of the show to try to challenge myself as I've never really done much "on the spot" work.
Bare in mind you'll have to listen up to know when I'm doing requests. I'll also be playing some tunes as I go.
For those that know me on SL don't fret I'll be on soon after I'm done doing art as doing video stream takes up a bundle of my net lol.
So come one come all and enjoy ^_^

Making Monies
Posted 15 years agoCurrently I'm doing everything I can to save up as much money as I can. The reasons are absolutely important to me. And I can't stress the importance.
I'm not saying I'm strapped for cash or anything, I'm just trying to find ways to speed things up.
My commissions have been open for some time albeit I'm also working on some X-Men - Furry character pieces.
Commissions will take precedence over those naturally.
But one way or another the need to make more money to speed things up is there, because I have a deep burning desire to do what I've set out to do.
Currently as of right now I'm doing allot of practice, and warm ups to prepare myself. But if any of you can please spread the word. Any help is gratefully appreciated. ^_^

Patients
Posted 15 years agoThe reason I'm writing this is just to kind of, well put it out there I guess. No particular reason really. I guess in one aspect it'll shed some light on where I stand, who I am, and why I am the way I am. (Not to make it sound like there's something wrong with me LMAO)
This is something I've had for a long time. Patients that is.
If there's anything compliment wise that my father has ever said, and to my knowledge my father has only given me one compliment that truly stands out in my memory.
It's that I'm the most patient man he's ever known in his entire life. He's sometimes wondered if I've ever gotten mad or upset when waiting for something to get done.
To be honest I don't really know why I am so patient with people. But it leads to other good things. Much like when someone has done me wrong, and how forgiving I am.
I suppose it's large and impart due to that I have a "Keep Moving Forward" attitude on life. I know that sounds like something ripped from the movie "Meet The Robinsons" but the fact is I've been this way for years and years. Which has helped me to become the happy go lucky kind of person that I am.
There's been times when I get surprised at how immediately people open up about their personal lives with me. Which I find very flattering that people can find me to be a very trustworthy kind of person. And to a degree I can see why. I'm not saying I'm not a trust worthy person.
But I just find it amazing from a positive point of view how people can come to share such intimate details of their lives with me.
It's like almost as if I was their best friend and confidant for years before we've even met. (for those of you wondering, nothing recently occured to spark this comment, I'm just saying is all)
I think back allot of times to the things that's happen to me, and the wrongs been done towards me. And I honestly don't see any reason to holds any grudges. Even towards the ones that could occur later in life.
The reason being is because honestly, I really do have better things to do. Like living my life, reaching my goals, and keeping a promise to a certain person.
And I don't do or say these things to tout myself to be better than anybody else. In truth I don't feel any more special, or better than even the lowliest of the low. And no I'm not saying everyone is equal in my eyes.
There are some out there that I do have negative opinions of. But I keep those opinions to myself, cause my opinions aren't worth diddly really.
Over all and in the end I may answer or give reasons as to why I am the way I am. But to be honest I'll never truly know why. And nobody with the exception of one person can really tell me the answer to that. And that person is very special to me.

Uneventful RL Birthday
Posted 15 years agoI had some fun in Second Life, laughing my ass off cause I happen to run into some guy who's English was really bad but just truly hilarious. I couldn't help but mess with him.
I got to spend some time with someone whom means the whole world to me. I truly enjoyed it.
But RL wise was nothing short of uneventful. I got a couple happy birthday wishes that friends posted to me via text messages. I mean I'm not surprised it was uneventful. I haven't been able to really celebrate it since I was 13.
But yea, it's my birthday, big ol' 28.

Posted 15 years agoThings are moving along smoothly. I'm getting rather excited about things. Though I think I'm coming close to some sorta mid life crisis or something lol.
I know it sounds ridiculous, but just like women whom get emotional once a month during their periods, men go through something similar when they near their 30's.
And being I'm gonna be 28 next month I can feel myself getting more emotional. I don't think it'll be bad or nothing. I've always been very much in control of my emotions.
Vehicle wise i'm in the process of fixing my 95 Chevy Baretta. I love that car, aside from being my first car, it's over all a really nice car to me. And fixed up it'll be even better. Hehe
On the art front, I've been widdling down little by little the arts I've had cued up. I've even been getting bases down for some new art inspired by my bestest lady friend and my sissy, the title is somewhat reminiscent of a chapter title Fisk aka Jay Naylor used in his finished comic series Better Days. I did change it up a little though. The title thus will be "My Ladies Keeper". It represents how protective I am of those I'm close to, friends and family alike.
Speaking of family, it's been discussed the future of my grandfather's living situation. He will be moving in with my family and I. In which he'll be there for approximately 6 months to a year depending on how long it will take to find a studio apartment for him to rent out.
Which will be better for him in the end. Cause if we went the rout of a nursing home. He'd run out of money for the other forms of care he'd need. So this will work out with his best interests at heart ^^
Cause he'll have family to take care of him. It's the least we could do for someone whom took care of his own family with his own bare hands.
He's certainly a man of the old school days where men actually worked hard, and fought tooth and nail to provide for his family. Something I hope to follow in my own life.
Anywho hope you all will enjoy the arts to come.

Updates
Posted 15 years agoI've been recently falling head over heels for the iPod touch, I simply love this thing. Originally I only had a little 4 gig iPod nano with a click wheel, and it did alright for me for a while, but eventually it started going wonky on me, being I've had the thing for almost 3 years.
I mainly love it for what it's capable of, such as
-More space for music
-Games (the number two reason)
-Ability to chat on MSN AIM Yahoo & Skype
-Surfing the web
-Updating profiles on Facebook & Myspace
-GPS availability
-Keeps things I need to do organised
-And loads more..
To put it simply I had no idea a device like this was capable of doing such things, and now that I know, it's a HUGE novelty to me.
On the family front, it seems like a 90% certainty that my grandfather will be moving in with me, which will be great, lots more time available, it'll motivate my dad to change allot of the things he's used to doing that's not good for his health, and over all it'll make things easier for the family as a whole.
On another topic for Second Life users, I believe I found out why Youtube doesn't work for any viewers except the new 2.0 viewer.
Youtube has been currently at work converting their media players to play using HTML5/Javascript ect.. instead of Flash. Why?
Because their working towards being accessible to the mobile industry as well as the PC community, thus far expanding their usage, and thus giving their providers far more advertisement viewing.
Biggest reason being is that Flash is a software run video format, which takes up more power usage for devices like Droid phones, iPhones, iPod touches, and a HUGE array of other smart phones that are either already out in the market, or have yet to come.
Linden Labs followed suit by enabling viewer 2.0 with the media sharing function, but it wasn't the primary reason, which was to give SL users the ability to not only expand on things they create that would intergrate web based content (including but far from limited to video players). But also expand on an almost global scale of what users would be capable of designing and creating.
So there you have it. ^_^

Family Drama
Posted 15 years agoI figured it'd be best to fully explain the situation this way to give a heads up to those whom are aware and are worrying about the situation.
Last night I came to my uncles house to watch over my grandfather. My uncle was drunk, ranting and raving.
He's basically done with the family as a whole.
Why I don't know, we've always bent over backwards for him, but that's beside the point.
The drinking basically brought his issues to the final boiling point, and demanded his own dad get out of his house.
An 87 year old man, suffering from dementia, Alzheimer, severely thin skin, but the biggest one of all is spinal cancer.
Somehow he's got it in his mind that my grandfather is faking it all and that he's playing us for saps. He absolutely at no point intended to help him change his depends, clothes, or his medications because he finds the man disgusting.
Which has the whole family in an uproar about it.
The silver lining in it though is we're working on getting him out of there, and my father offered a space for my grandfather, which in my mind would be more convenient for the family being we're more centralized in the city, shorter drives for other members whom volunteer to watch him closest to the hospital, also he's guaranteed to not be alone. And he won't be paying $600 a month to stay.
Another bonus is it'll force my dad to have to change what he buys, and how much of it as well. He'll also be a bit more active, and get more exercise in the end.
In my case I won't have to constantly try to find rides to keep watch over him over nights, I can do it in the comfort of my home.
So over all I suppose it's actually a good thing this happened, but overall a shitty way for it to come about. But in either case I'm neither nervous or afraid of the situation. I'll do what I can in the meantime to insure my grandfather's safety while we go through the processes.
And I'm happy in knowing my grandfather will be safe, and that my Uncle's getting whats coming to him. (I.E. his wife wants to leave him, he's being removed from the Will, he's already waist deep in debt, ect.. the list goes on. And I'll be there not to gloat, but I will tell him I told him so.)
And some of you may think being the severity of the situation I'd be depressed or upset about it all. And at first I was, but I'm not. I don't see a need to be, nor a good enough reason to be.
Quite simply because it's only gonna slow me down in doing what I have to do for my own life, as well as help the family.

FOUND HER!!!
Posted 15 years agoYes I found my dog, she's currently at an animal shelter. I'm awaiting the Animal Control officer to call as to when I'll be able to pick her up. It'll definitely be today though! SQUEEE!! God I'm so relieved, Anywho I'm gonnaprod and push my mom to get off her duff and get the registration done, as well as her name/address tags. I'm also gonna inquire about how much it would cost to get one of those nifty gps chips you can have put under the dogs skin.
I took the liberty of taking a picture with my phone of her at the shelter, sent it to my parents to show she's alright. And for your viewing pleasure.

Pumkin Gone Missing...
Posted 15 years agoFirst and formost, to let people know. I am ok, I'm not letting my emotions get the best of me or anything like that. There isn't much that can be done aside from already letting Animal Control, and Police know of the situation.
But anyway, my dog Pumkin --> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/728836/
Has gone missing, she escaped from my back yard. I already miss her, and spent most of the day looking for her. Tomorrow morning I'm going out and posting reward pictures. Hopefully she's alright, I'm keeping good spirits that she is, cause she tends to have good luck like that.
Anyway I thought I would let you guys know about that and to let you guys know I'm ok, not really depressed about the situation. I'm bummed out yea, but I'm ok.

Addictive Yet Fruity
Posted 15 years agoI came across this game, which is for the lack of a better way to put it.
The game is fruity in a gay way. Filled with rainbows, butterfly's, and well you play a robotic unicorn.
Robotic Unicorn Attack
The premise of the game is to just run through an endless runway of obstacles, and you must collect the butterfly's and power dash through stars.
The objective really is to collect as many points before dieing. And the controls are purely simplistic, which adds to it's addictiveness.
Z = Jump: The amount of time you stay in the air depends on how long you hold the button, plus tapping it a second time while in air gets you a double jump.
X = Dash: Plain and simple power dash that you use to burst through stars. Unfortunately it doesn't work for those upside down spikes you accidentally hurl yourself towards.
But it's one hell of an addictive game, even for a strait guy like me lol XD

The game is fruity in a gay way. Filled with rainbows, butterfly's, and well you play a robotic unicorn.

Money Oportunity
Posted 15 years agoMy uncle came to me this morning and asked me if I was interested in helping him remodel his house, o at least a portion of it. In which he's offering to pay.
Now if I need to save up for my BIG adventure to come (those who know me, know what I'm talking about.), so I have to build up a HUGE amount of money to use for my arrival and such.
This was a bit unexpected so when it's all said and done I'll have a large sum of money to work with, specially for when I need to buy a car, and buy food to get me by while I continue on my search for a job in the area. Needless to say I'm excited as hell.
On another note I am somewhat worried about my parents. As the recent months have gone by I've noticed how more increasingly selfish, self centered and lazy my father has become.
My mother's already expressed her distaste and irritation for the way he is. Just recently the had gotten into an argument and such, to which my mother stormed out of the house. She's back and all, she was only gone for about an hour and a half to two hours.
I'm not terribly worried about it cause despite the fact that I can see a possible divorce, months possibly a couple years from now. I'm not very worried cause it's necessary for my father to see where he's in the wrong. And if he doesn't see that, well then my mom's better off without him.
It's sad that it's becoming a possibility, but in situations like this it's also become a necessity in order to inspire change.

Posted 15 years agoWarning: Political Rant
Posted 15 years agoThe words below are simply opinion, however I feel them to be true. Why else would Attorney Generals on the state level for almost all 50 states be preparing to file a lawsuit against the passing of the Health Care Bill? Why else would those same states be looking into legislature to counteract the bill? And why else would 3/4ths majority of Americans be opposed to the bill before it was even passed?
========And Now Our Feature Presentation========
I'm not one to go off about politics, fact is my stance is on it is. So long as they don't prevent me from reaching goals I set for myself. (I.E. getting a nice home to have the woman of my dreams, and child live with me, and live a comfortable life raising my family).
But with the recent "Health Care" bill passed (Against the majority of Americans, 3/4ths of them to be exact.), the government. Or at least the liberal democrats (far left that is) now have the ability to fine you if you choose not to take their health care plan (comes into effect shortly after the president sings it). Which in and of itself is unconstitutional.
Don't get me wrong there's some good in the bill that was put into it. But the fact is that the "bad" out weighs the "good" things proposed within the bill.
For the longest time it had always been my belief that all democrats wanted was to put more money in their pockets. And I came to the realization that I was only partially right.
As time has gone by steadily the liberals have been working towards having the government take complete control of what we spend our money on, how we live, and what we can and cannot do. You may not be able to see it now because it hasn't gotten that bad. BUT
The thing of it is, is that there's a HUGE majority of people that have become lax, and lazy. Relying on the government to "pay their way of life", and if you like that fine, but the people whom don't want to live that way are the ones paying for it. SO if you so choose to live that way, you should have no right to do what you want, how you want, and when you want. Cause your in fact living a "FREELOADER" life.
The one bright side to Obama being put into office is the fact that this bill was passed, and I say this because the bill is the kind of ridiculousness that was needed in order to finally motivate those that don't want to rely on the government to live off of, and put them into action.
Glenn Beck has been saying it. Mark my words.
There will be a movement that will change the face of the government for the better. Those liberals whom pushed for the passing of the bill will be pushed out of their political position, and replaced with politicians that could quite possibly right the wrongs.
You see in order for this country to financially recover from this recession dilemma is to get investors from other countries to see us making a comeback to a more stable position while the areas their currently investing in are falling. And as that happens, the money coming in, coupled with tax reductions and spending reductions on the government level, will allow us to cut away the National Debt, increase the value of the US Dollar, and thus overall increase the wealth of the people, enabling us all to live "The American Dream".
And I will say this to those who defend the passing of this bill.
Some of you will say "Why don't you take the time to read the bill?", or make some other kind of excuse as to why your defending it.
And the thing of it is. I did read the bill, and the good and bad can be best described as this.
Lets say you had a simple itch, but the only way to get rid of it was to apply this creme (the creme being the bill). However the doctor tells you before applying it. "Yes it will cure your itch, but IT WILL dissolve your arm to mush, stream poison through your blood stream, and eventually kill you."
I can honestly say that those whom defend this bill, are purely fools and blind. And I'd feel proud to say it too because I'm not blind to whats really happening here.

FormSpring!
Posted 15 years agoI thought this would be neat to do, and I'll add it to my profile cause it may help answer some questions that my watchers may or may not have.
At the same time you guys can feel free to ask me anything you would want to know, as I am with anybody, I'm honest in my opinions and answers, and there's never a need to be shy. Ask me anything ^_^

(Note: The main reason I made this was cause the admins at FA made one so I was compelled to ask them a question in hopes they'll answer it truthfully and with a clear answer. Chances of that happening = 0%)

The Cat Returns
Posted 15 years agoI figured I'd share this for those whom may or may not have seen this movie, cause I think it's a really good one. Done by the same creator who made Spirited Away, and Princess Mononoke.
(Taken from Wikipedia)
The story follows a girl called Haru, a quiet, shy and unassuming high school student who has a long-suppressed ability to talk to cats. One day she saves a darkly colored, odd-eyed cat from being hit by a truck on a busy road. The cat turns out to be Lune, Prince of the Cat Kingdom. In return, the cats shower her with gifts of catnip and mice — and then she is offered the Prince's hand in marriage. Her mixed reply is taken as a yes.
I would classify this as a "furry" type film cause it's loaded with a slew of cute kitties whom not only have a feral form appeal, but they also walk on their rear legs as well.
And it also has a nice cast of voices.
(Taken from Wikipedia)
Voice talent for the English dub
* Haru Yoshioka - Anne Hathaway and Katia Coe as younger Haru
* Baron Humbert von Gikkingen - Cary Elwes
* Muta (a.k.a. Renaldo Moon) - Peter Boyle
* Toto - Elliott Gould
* The Cat King - Tim Curry
* Lune - Andrew Bevis
* Yuki - Judy Greer
* Haru's Mother - Naoko Yoshioka - Kristine Sutherland
* Hiromi - Kristen Bell
* Natori - René Auberjonois
* Natoru - Andy Richter
I hope those that do go to watch it enjoy it, meantime imma take myself a little catnap. ^_^

Xmen - Updated ... again
Posted 15 years agoI can't quite remember what gave me the idea, but because I've always been a fan of Xmen, I figured I'd do some furry fan art of it, but with a twist. Instead of taking them and making them furry, I plan to make those closest to me and turning them into an xmen that I think best fits them so here's the current list.
= Gambit
= Storm
= Jubilee
= Rouge
= Collosus
= Beast
= Mystique
= Iceman
= Electra
= Shadowcat
= Juggernaut (Doing this one cause 1. I like Juggernaut and 2. Cause Raver is a fellow NH fur lol)
That's The list so far, I'll have more to come as I think on some others

Artist/Art Meme
Posted 15 years agoTaken from
•1. How long have you been drawing and what inspired you to start?
I began if memory serves me right, when I was 9. My mother was an artist, but she had gotten us into collecting comic books, and comic cards. And the art on them gave me a drive to do it. In essence I've been drawing for 18 years, but that's merely a technicality because I had stopped when I was 17, but picked it back up when I turned 21, so you could say I've been doing it for 14 years.
•2. Who/what is your biggest artistic influence right now?
It varies from time to time. Whether it be a conversation, or a piece of art I see here on FA. However my biggest inspiration for art would have to be
•3. What is your favorite subject matter to draw? Least favorite?
My favorite would be pin up like images, characters in provocative poses. It helps me appreciate and understand the anatomy more and more.
I also like to draw a bit of yiffy, horror, and action type art.
My least favorite would have to be inflation, scat, or other forms of extreme fetish type art. I don't particularly mind drawing same sex art as well, however I don't when I'm doing my own personal art.
•4. What is your preferred media? Typical supplies you like to use?
Currently digital is my preferred media, but I also do allot of traditional art to make up some quick references and such to work with. To which I also use some anatomy books geared towards artists while using traditional to help boost my abilities.
•5. Describe your creative process (how you take an idea in your head and turn it into a finished piece).
Most times I'll see something that catches my eye, or I'll hear something that just kinda "grabs" me, to which I think and visualize in my mind, and twist and change it to make it more unique. Course as I'm developing it onto a canvas it will also continue to change and look different than what I envisioned, but the contentful results remains quite satisfying.
•6. Any other artists you'd like to work with?
While I seriously doubt I'd ever luck out in it, I'd love to work with Jay Naylor, cause his work is just absolutely fantastic.
•7. Any silly artist's quirks that you have?
I guess it would have to be that while I'm drawing, I play music. Generally if I'm drawing something funny, the music has to be funny (ect.. ect.. on other type as you'd imagine.). I also sing the songs that are playing while drawing. I'm not sure what else could be considered a quirk though lol.
•8. What about your art do you think stands out most to others? What would you like others to know you for?
I'd suppose it'd be my art style, but as for what I'd "like" others to know me for. I don't really have much desire to want anything particular. To be honest I'd rather people know me as they see me. As I'm really no one special, I just do what I do as I enjoy doing it.
•9. Any formal training for your chosen field? (Art school, classes etc.)
Aside from art class in high school.. nope.
•10. Any advice to aspiring artists?
I could say "practice, practice, practice". But that never seems to work, nor does it really have much effect on aspiring artists anymore. Most come up with the excuse, "I just don't have the ability to be creative.", or "I don't have a good imagination.".
To me those are worthless excuses. I believe every human/furry or what have you HAS the ability to be imaginative, and or creative, coupled with the ability to apply it to anything they aim for. And it's their own fault for not exercising their minds endless ability to be creative/imaginative.
Whether they choose to knowing or unknowing this, they can if they so choose to.
You just have to understand that creativity/imagination is all in what your thinking about. Like something you picture in your mind to be funny. For example someone falling face first into a cake on the ground.
Picture some comical object that they may have tripped over to have caused their face to plant so humorously into the cake. (chances are some of you are already picturing this as you read this lol)
And the thing of it is, when it comes to art. Your not only "practicing" it every time you apply pencil to paper or digital pen to pad. But your also exercising those muscles in your hand you normally only use to write your name.
What most don't realize is muscles have memory, but unlike the brain it doesn't forget things. It's called "muscle memory", course your probably thinking "Naw I only get better by what I learn and know in my mind." Well your wrong, it's both in the hand and the mind. Where do you think your "style" comes from?
It comes from repeated motions of your hand. Your hand becomes conditioned and accustomed to those particular movements which in turn give birth to your style. And "practicing" helps refine that style based on how determined you are in developing it.

If anyone has any other questions, feel free to ask. I tried to cover everything but its late and I may have left something out. ;)
Meantime, I'm gonna get some sleep as I've not yet slept since I got home from watching my grandfather over night.
