Profile & Comission Update
Posted 16 years agoFor those whom may or may not have noticed I've been doing some updates here and there to my profile.
More recently I've updated my commission info, making it look a bit more neater and detailed. Especially in the pricing range.
Things are better described, and the costs made much more simplistic to minimize questions and such.
As time goes by if people ask me questions about commissions i'll be adding a Q and A journal to help free up any confusions and what not. But in any case here it is ^_^

Personal Rant
Posted 16 years agoJust something pointless, but kinda bugs me.
I go through my messages here on FA, checking out random journals that come from those I watch. My issue is when I find a long line of deleted journals.
2 things come to mind when I see that.
1.) Why bother posting it if I was gonna be deleted in the first place.
And 2.) Why doesn't the admins at FA just fix that so we don't get a bunch of "Journal deleted by Poster" messages.
I mean it leaves a bunch of us kinda wondering. "Hmm maybe that journal had something worth while reading, shame its gone now."

What the..
Posted 16 years agoLately I've started to notice some sort of trend going on here. Though I know it's a temporary one. But I've been seeing a surge of human like art. The only thing that makes them "not human" is the pointy ears.
I don't know, I mean is it me or is this site called "Fur" Affinity?
I don't know why but I felt necessary to kind of throw that out there as like a mini rant or something lol.

Future Art
Posted 16 years agoAside from some gift art there's gonna be some personal art that may express some of what I've been feeling as of late. You'll know them when you see them. But don't look to deeply into the meanings of them cause i've actually wanted to draw stuff like them for a while lol.
One that I have been working on while I've been at my grandfather's is totally unrelated, it was inspired by a scene from the movie Poltergeist which is slowly becoming my favorite movie, where Carolan turns and looks back at her parents, simply saying. "They're Here" with a quick but erie smile.
Another one I may do from that movie (or part two actually) is of Reverend Henry Kane. The actor they choose for him was obscenely perfect, course whoever chose him was a bit demented cause they specifically aimed for someone that looked sickly. And Julian Beck fit the bill cause he was dieing of cancer.
I guess the whole reason why I like the whole trilogy is because of the whole controversy about the movies.
Part 1
Synopsis - Is about a family who's father works for a company, in which his job is to get people to move into this housing project in Cuesta Verde, California. The father eventually finds out that the whole housing project was built over a vast cemetery, in which the company only moves the tombstones, but not the bodies.
Creepy Controversy - The controversy over the movie is when it gets to the part where the coffins emerge from the ground, as well as the bodies that emerge from the water filled dirt hole where the pool was to be built. Which were in fact REAL bodies. The worst part was the actors that came in contact with these bodies didn't know they were real till after shooting the scene.
Part 2
Synopsis - The family believes they escaped the horrible events that took place in Cuesta Verde, and try to resume life. But are greeted by a Reverend whom they come to know at Henry Kane. The grandmother comes to notice that Carolan has psychic abilities just like she and Carolan's mother does. Tangina forces Diane to use this ability to find out more about the Reverend, in which the find out that Henry Kane was a a religious zealot responsible for the deaths of his many followers well over 100 years ago.
Creepy Controversy - By this time a few believe in whats known as the Poltergeist curse, cause in part 1 the families teenage daughter goes off to stay with her friends because she's to afraid to ride out the events the family is going through. The reason you don't see her appear in part 2 is because she died shortly after the filming of part 1. She was murdered by her ex lover.
Shortly after part 2 was finished the actor playing Henry Kane dies of his cancer, as well as the very old Indian you see in the beginning of the movie, which he dies after a failed lung transplant.
I'd go into detail of part 3 but in short the creepy controversy behind that one was that the actress that played Carolan dies of a septic infection due to a bowel blockage that cause bacterial toxins to enter her system.
And a scene where you see the parking garage on fire was meant to be staged, BUT the fire went out of control, and indeed did considerable damage to the the building.
In any case if you've managed to read this far I didn't mean to go into details about the movies, but I find them to be just epic. But anyway, I've got loads of other art to make.

Controversial Journal
Posted 16 years agoTaken from a close friend whom got it from
[01] Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?
1. I wouldn't be posting this if I weren't right?
2. I don't really think these questions are very controversial, I think they're realistic, and things that most people are afraid to answer for themselves. But they really should.
[02] Would you do meth if it was legalized?
Not a chance in hell.
[03] Abortion: for or against it?
A yes and no type answer really. As my good friend stated it's dependent on the situation. Such as if a young child was raped. However if someone intentionally has sex and pregnancy is the result, they should bring that baby to term and take responsibility for it.
Now to be controversial is if a young child is sexually active, and gets pregnant, that would be a decision the parent would have to make, as they are responsible for the child's actions.
[04] Do you think the world would fail with a female president?
Doesn't really matter what sex the person is. You don't base their performance on gender. You base it on their past history. Like if said person claims they support lowering taxes. And then turns around and votes to increase taxes. Then it boils down to asking yourself.. "What was I thinking when I voted for this asshole?"
[05] Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
To me it doesn't really make any difference whether it is or not, cause I've never smoked it. Would I try it if it was legalized? Mmmm yea maybe.
[06] Are you for or against premarital sex?
Why bother asking this question really. People today have degraded the thought of holding off sex till after marriage for generations now.
But I look at it this way. I you truly love someone, and you both are meant for each other. Then there's no more special a feeling then being with that one you love and sharing a moment that precious to you.
[07] Do you believe in God?
Yes I do, but till I prove to myself what religion is the "right" religion. I belong to none.
And FYI (for your information to those whom may not know), don't dare try to tell me about your religion, or proselytize yourself to me, cause it's not gonna work.
[08] Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
Well let me ask you. If they say it's "illegal" then why isn't the government really doing anything about it?
[09] A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
My stance is the same as my good friend on this.
[10] Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
Yes
[11] Should the war in Iraq be called off?
If it were done right in first place, this question wouldn't have to be asked now would it?
[12] Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?
Depends on the situation.
[13] Do you believe in spanking your children?
Yes, but only under the right circumstances, and only done the right way period.
[14] Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
No, just simply no.
[15] Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
Fuck no, anyone takes offense, it's not my problem.

Grandfather's Keeper
Posted 16 years agoSo tonight, possibly tomorrow, and Wednesday night. I will be staying at my uncle's house to watch over my grandfather. Hopefully my uncle has internet n such, but pretty much what I'll be doing is keeping an eye on my grandfather, making sure he's safe.
Being that he's dieing of spinal cancer, struck with dementia, and a slew of other issues he pretty much cannot be left alone during the night. He could pass away at any given time.
My aunt basically put it as, that she's paying me to sit there and do whatever while I watch him. To which I told her I'll do what I can.
The more I think about it though, I have mixed feelings about the whole situation regarding my grandfather's health. It's steadily becoming a more positive minded type thing because a good friend Draven told me that should he pass. Would my grandfather want me to morn his passing? Or delight in the memories I have of him, as well as who he was?
Which is true, and is especially helpful.
And I can't be more appreciative of my family being by my side, and supporting me. They keeps me stable, and reminds me of the things I'm continually forgetting. Thy truly mean allot to me.
In any case though my Aunt is paying me $50 a night, which isn't much but it's nice to be able to have something.

In any case though my Aunt is paying me $50 a night, which isn't much but it's nice to be able to have something.
Benifits of having a cold
Posted 16 years agoI never thought about it till I walked around my house. After I got up from sleeping 11 hours straight, I went downstairs, made myself some breakfast, and while I was doing it I have a tendency to singing. But the song was a Metallica song, I can't remember what the name, but the lyrics go "Where do I take this pain of mine.", (which there's nothing to the reason I sang that song, it was just random lol).
But when I sang the song my vocal tone was like really low, which I thought was like damn it's sexy lol.

Tablet Upgrade
Posted 16 years agoWell sorta lol.
My SL bro sent me his Wacom Bamboo tablet, which Wacom is better than a Genius tablet anyday.
I admit this one is smaller, but it seems to function a bit better than my older tablet. There really isn't anything wrong with my old tablet, but for what I need is more functionality.
I haven't played with it in photoshop yet, but I thinks it'll be fun hehe ^^
Plus i'm sending my old one to ma P.I.C. hehe

Hard Drive BS
Posted 16 years agoI'm still running through some process's here, but I had to do a complete reinstall of windows, due to a dumb error on my part.
In an attempt to quiet the sound being picked up from my cooling fan by my mic, I placed a knit cap underneath the mic, which worked brilliantly, but with a flaw.
The knit cap also has built in speakers for musical purposes obviously, but because the speakers were to close to my lappy, they ended up damaging some files (specifically the ones that ran the start bar at the bottom of the screen.
Luckily I have a 320 gig external which is a BIG help when it comes to recovering programs and files I don't want to loose in a re-installation.
Everything should be back to norm very soon. I hope everyone is having fun in my absence and to my love, I'm always thinking of you, and to not be worried of the things on your mind. As your love for me comforts me. Let my love for you, comfort you.

Paypal help
Posted 16 years agoI've asked a few artists about this subject, but some seem to be either busy, or they don't remember how to do it, so I'm curious if anyone will be able to help.
What I'm looking to find out is how to accept paypal payments via email like I've seen in many commission journals here on FA.
If anyone can help me it'd be greatly appreciated.

A Poem From The Heart
Posted 16 years agoI'm not much for writing. In fact I flunked English class in high school. if that tells you anything. But I still get the urges to write things like short poems and such...
But despite how I feel about my own writing I think this is more than worth sharing, cause as the title states... It's from the heart.
================
~ To my one and only love...
Deja Spyker,
My fondness for your heart,
drew me in right from the start.
Before my life was lame,
then into my life you came.
My life was upside down, and inside out.
And then your love sang to me, like an angelic shout.
You brought peace and happiness to a troubled and darkened soul.
Together and forever my love, we always make each other whole.

Question To All My Watcher's
Posted 16 years agoI've been getting more and more curious about this question as time goes by so I think it's a good time to ask.
If I were to start taking commissions for the art I create, do you guys believe if you had the money, would you be willing to have a commissioned art piece from me?
It's a question long since nagging in the back of my mind, which finally came out of hiding lol. My only issue is forms of payment should that be able to occur. because quite simply, being that I owe the bank $600 I'm pretty positive I wouldn't be able to open an account at another bank. And I don't know if I actually need a bank account linked to paypal to accept payment in it.
If I don't need a bank linked to it then yes I can accept commissions, however if I do need one, I'll have to seek an alternate for of payment, as I most certainly doubt anyone would be willing to help me get a bank account linked to my paypal.
If that were possible it'd be great cause then I can pay my bank, get that in order, link my own account into it, and continue taking on commissions to pay for other things I desperately need.
In any case I really want to thank you guys for watching me, and if you guys know anything about paypal, or an alternative form of payment I'd greatly appreciate the help.

Art Disclaimer
Posted 16 years agoAs I continue to grow and design character's, species and ect.. I will post this as a notice to those wishing to either commission me for art, a trade, or do gift art for me.
Commission Slots
These are viewable not only in the signature area of my journal postings but also my front page. The amount of slots there are whats currently available based on the amount of time I have, and or are wiling to do.
I limit myself on the amount of slots available mostly because I don't want someone whom paid for a service to have to wait extra extra long. Like someone that takes on 10 commissions, the 10th guy has to wait x amount of time, with his money sitting there in the paypal of the artist.
Commission prices
Are subject to change however. if (for example) you put in for a commission and my price changes for whatever reason while your art is in the process of being done. DO NOT worry as the price you put in for at the time of sending in an order will remain the same, and locked in, unless you yourself change your mind.
And I will not start an art piece till payment as made, as I will take it as a sign that your serious about commissioning me.
Refund Policy
The only exception to this is if you changed your mind before I started the work. If I'm half way through it, well then I'm sorry but I'm not gonna take on an order and not get paid for work I've already done. HOWEVER
Depending on what stage I'm closest to (I.E. Sketched, Inked, Flat, Shaded) I'll finish that particular stage of the piece, and refund you the difference.
Example: You pay for a full body, and change your mind when I reach the inked stage. Then I give you a refund of your money with the exception of the amount it would cost for an inked piece.
My Characters/Species:
Any characters I create can be added to a commission, trade, or done as gift art. BUT they cannot be used in yiffy art with any other character except my mate's characters. Same goes for Vore, Bondage, Inflation, and other fetish types of art.
Chibi, Cub (no diapers please) or Feral type is fine so long as it's like stated above none of those things.
Any Species I create that you'd like to use to design your own character, please remember to give credit to the creator of the species, as not doing so only cheapens yourself, and shows a severe lack of creativity on your part. So in essence do it as a favor for yourself, an give credit where it's due.
One Up For Furries!!
Posted 16 years agoFinally something showing some of the more positive sides of the furry fandom. Which is why I like G4Tv, although the video doesn't quite go into as much detail and information about the furry fandom as I would have liked, it at least points out the one crucial part that the vast majority of people commonly mistake furries for.
Which is we are NOT some sexual fetish, many of us dress up in costumes simply because we like it. Not just because it connects us to a more "innocent" side, or "our childhood", and most certainly not for sexual gratification.
The same is said for the art in which we draw. So to spread the word heres the video.

To All My Watchers <_<
Posted 16 years ago((______SELF PROMOTION MONTH!______))
Taken from Katmomma journal here--> http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/1010225/
October is Self-Promotion month! With that in mind I'm encouraging you to post a FurAffinity journal on your profile that serves as an artistic bio or a statement of purpose.
Who are you?
My name is Justin Goulet, living in Manchester, NH (USA, not the UK as some have thought.). Having an inspirational need to go to college for Graphical Art & Design, to which I also wish to make a living in what I love, which is art.
What is your artistic passion?
Art has always been my passion, it's also in my blood. My mother was a very avid painter. But capturing the emotions and poses is something I've worked hard on having become second nature to me.
Why did you get into art?
Because it makes me happy for one thing, I had always enjoyed doing it. Remembering back to my younger days watching Disney movies, each one was different in style, yet each one had ranges of expression and flow that continued to capture my imagination as a child.
How do you inspire yourself?
Sometimes I would go through submissions in FA or Deviant Art, studying the various poses, expressions, emotions that were drawn into the art that was made, and deeply think on what, how, and where to approach my next piece.
Another part of my inspiration comes from reading and observing art from Jay Naylor, there's something about his story lines, expressions, style, and ability to capture our imaginations through his art that truly gets my artistic juices flowing.
Where would you like to see yourself in 5 years?
Doing what I love most while living with the loving woman in my life. Having a small personal studio to do my work, and supporting my family.
Your Portfolios /Personal Websites?
Unfortunately I don't have a personal website as of yet. I want to have one, where I can devote time towards a web comic, and an illustrated comic catalog. Aside from that my work is currently only viewable on this page, and my deviant art page.
http://www.furaffinity.net/user/soupa/
http://soupa1.deviantart.com/
Your Favorite Anthro Original Character & Why?
I don't particularly have a favorite character of my own creation as I have yet to create a character that I can draw repeatedly in different poses, and expressions. Though as I think on it now I suppose this is my next step in my advancement in my artistic ability. So when I start this project you will know, cause this character will have a bit of my own personality.

The Harsh Winter Cold
Posted 16 years agoTis been to long that I forgot the feel of the numbing cold upon my face. I could almost feel the onset of a snowfall, the smell of a torrent of ice crystals on their long awaited journey to the dirt that covers the earth.
Yes it's nearly that time, and I felt it this morning after waking up, and taking out the trash, and it's quite the feeling. Thank god I remembered to bring my hibiscus tree in before the frost hit.
Anyway, this morning starts the clock where I have but mere hours before I no longer see my sister, as once her truck is fully packed, she's gone, and I'll probably never get to see her again.
And then there's my grandfather whom doesn't have very much time left. His spinal cancer is progressing, dementia is has settled in, and now he's experiencing sharp stinging pain in his chest. Which I believe is the start of his body beginning to shut down. It won't be long before he spends the rest of his days in a bed on life support, and then the inevitable.
That man was truly something, and he accomplished so much in his time, to me he was one of the greatest men to live, and one of the few men I know of whom achieved the American dream.
I'll miss him greatly when he's gone.
Any way the majority of my morning and day will be spent loading up my sisters moving truck, and saying my goodbye's to her, I wish the best for her, and hope she finds what she's looking for down in Oklahoma. God know I want a family too, and I do have one, the best kinda family I could ever have.

More Paranoia
Posted 16 years agoCaution Long Read Ahead
(Thank you to those who manage to read it all.)
With all the stress that I've been going through, with the thought of my parents possibly asking me to leave. To the severe lack of income from my now former job at Wendy's, arguing with my father over trivial things (i.e. viruses getting on their computers and blaming the cause on things that I know they didn't come from, in reality I know he's looking at pornographic sights.), as well as feeling physically alone up here in New Hampshire. It's basically really starting to really drive into a depression. (no wait because I'm not a doctor I can't say that, so I'm just feeling very very sad. :P)
One of the nasty side effects I've come to realize that has become incredibly hard for me to stop is allot of irrational thinking, being paranoid over things I should be able to trust and believe are in fact not happening.
I won't go into saying what those irrational thoughts are, because the results will become exactly what I've fought so hard to keep as is. Mostly cause I know it maintains my happiness in all this inner mental drama in my head.
As I've thought deeply on all this, and what to do about it, I've come to realize that I'm indeed walking on a very very thing line.
To which I know how to handle my financial issues, which I've been handling quite well, there's some very promising possible jobs that have come up and I'm really hoping I get hired to at least one of them.
Another step is taking the time to heal emotionally. The previous month was for me a very trying month. To which there's no amount of words I could use to thank my love, and my sisters and brother for the love and support. It's almost hard to believe a guy like me has such wonderful people in my life. There's been countless times I've thought that I'm just not worth that kind of caring and affection. Which makes me so happy, and helps me keep my sanity.
I know on the outside when people interact with me, I'm joking around, having a giggle or two, and enjoying myself. Which I am, it's no mask by any means, cause I know in my heart when I'm making others laughing, or making the woman I love blush. It truly makes me happy, and I forget about all my problems and fears. But when I'm away it's like a switch, and then another kind of reality sets in. I've had trouble sleeping because of it all.
I really don't want anything to change at all though, cause I know where things are at now is where my road to becoming happier and stronger in myself, and in my life
And not to side track though, but I feel I need to point this out. I know this all sounds very emo-ish and all, but in no way shape or form will I ever even let the thought of suicide enter my mind. And I'm gonna put my opinion down on this cause the whole suicide deal really aggravates the shit out of me. I have no sympathy for anyone that even considers that option, I don't care who you are, I swear right here and now if someone came to me in person and told me this I would seriously slap the shit out of the person, cause in all honesty your lying to yourself if you came to the conclusion that there's nothing you can do, an nobody would miss you. I mean seriously there's people out there, and I mean a whole shit ton of people that have it far worse than you. In fact I think they'd kill to be in that person's situation. So that's that on the subject of suicide.
But back to what I was saying, I know I seem happy on the outside, but I really am hurting on the inside, and the road to recovery is hard. But I thank everyone whom is by my side and showing me they care. I truly love you guys, and there is nothing I wouldn't do for you all. You all mean so much to me. I send out all my hugs and love to you guys. Especially the love of my life. <3
In anycase I'm off to bed, for I am very very tired.Bad Ju ju
Posted 16 years agoYea last night I had this ominous feeling that some seriously bad ju ju was gonna happen the following day.Which normally happens when I pull a stupid move. And last night was one hell of a doozy when it comes to dumb moves. But I thank my baby for being so wonderful. And when she said I normally beat myself up worse than she could ever do to me, it was quite apparent that it was an understatement as today I've been nothing but a complete klutz all day long.
From bashing my head on a chandelier, to stubbing my toe multiple times, tripping over the dog, getting shot in the ass with pellet guns. In essence I got my ass kicked by the house lol.
I'm quite surprised how quickly I recover from those painful moments, cause as it stands only my ribs, and knee are bothering me from a nice tumble a short while back.
Though yesterday had it's ups and downs, I came so very close to being able to go to Fur Fright I could taste it, but had I have kept an eye on the day the even was to occur I could have planned it allot better. But I thank my sissy for trying, cause it was actually the closest I've ever gotten to be able to go to a con.
Hopefully I'll be able to go to Anthro Con or another con on the eastern seaboard. But I'd be elated if any furs would be willing to take a vacation up this way for the weekend to do some camping or something cause theirs loads of stuff to do here in New Hampshire. As near as I can tell the closest person to my location is my sissy Arcana whom is near or in New York, I can't exactly remember right now, but even still it'd be awesomesauce to have someone come up and visit at least once. Take a bunch of pictures and have a blast, whether it be seeing a baseball game, hiking, hockey, a concert (provided the time was planned right), and just have all around fun.
On another bit of news I've debated on getting a piercing, not on my ears though, but somewhere further south O\\\\O hehe yea, but not through it, more like a pinch of skin or something. Along with a possible tattoo. But as far as piercing goes I will sure as hell not get it done with someone I don't know. It'd just feel wrong to walk into a place and straight out say, "Hey can you take that sharp object and thrust it through my shaft?" O.o
Fuck that lol, I can trust someone to put a needle on my arm or chest, but hell no on "The Ol Sausage", no no no. Ain't happening. In any case that's whats been going on thus far, more arts to come soon, Thanks for watching me. ^_^
