Posted 16 years agoUmm, well just thought I'd tell anyone who was considering talking to me about a commission (Like there's a lot of you out there... *sticks her tongue out*), until my creative mood hits me again my commission status is set to closed. Just keep watching for a journal if they ever open up again.
I still may consider trades though if you figure out a story to write involving a character of mine and one of yours! Just send a note and we'll talk. May even help to get me out of this creative slump (Though school work is doing it's part to help keep me like this >.<)

Midnight's Guide to getting in Her Pants
Posted 16 years agoOk, I've been getting bugged more and more about "Want to RP" "Why aren't you responding" And the such, and I've just about had it. So, I decided that I'll make a guide for anyone who really wants to RP with me about how you can get the time with me;
AMENDMENT
0) Not everyone is in the mood for sexy time when you are. Respect that. <--Applies 24/7. Believe it or not, I'm not a total whore all the time, like at 8am in the morning when I happen to be online to check my email, and so on. Some people don't seem to understand this.

1) Do not approach me and think that I RP with anyone. I have a busy life, and a -lot- of friends on IRC and MSN. I also have fickle moods if I want to RP at all, and even if I do 75% of the time I'll seek out people I have known for awhile first before RPing with someone new.
a) While I'm 'technically' Bi, I'm sorry but I dislike the male body in any sort of sexual fashion (Unless they're cute girly boys, then I can make exceptions ^.^). I can count the number of males I will actually RP with on one hand, and that's only due to prolonged friendship. Otherwise, only girls and herms generally get the time with me.
2) Use SENTENCES. I can forgive someone who's not fluent in English (Heck, I mess it up all the time) but I do not want to interact with people who can't be bothered to use periods and commas separating thoughts, or can't press the shift key for Nouns and beginnings of sentences. I've studied other languages, they still use punctuations and capitalization, and have some form of sentence structure, try to mimic your fluent language it if you can't grasp how English does it. It would show me that you are at least trying, and that's all I want.
a) On that note, I myself tend to write about 30-50 words on average for a post, sometimes much more or a little less but generally stick between 30-50. While I don't expect an RP partner to be at that point, at least show me that you can -try- to do it. One word/sentence replies to my 3-5 sentences will generally cause me to slowly loose interest unless I know you're trying your best.
3) While I have a GIANT list of acceptable fetishes(As seen here: http://www.f-list.net/c/katia%20rayne - F-list page for a character of mine), don't assume that I'll do anything with you. My mood for fetishes come and go because of my nature, so it's best to ask on anything in the more 'extreme' range before hand.
4) Please please please, don't go right into "Want to yiff/Fuck/You're hot!!~", this can and most often will end up causing me to tune you out, it gives me the vibe you're just looking for a sexual RP and probably won't reciprocate the quality that I uphold to. I have been wrong, but much more often then not it's a sure sign of a bad RPer.
a) If I seem to be 'ignoring' you, it's not always because I'm actually ignoring you. At some points I get 10-15 windows flashing, working on homework, browsing the internets, ect, so just keep trying to get my attention. It's easy to loose someone I just started talking to with so many distractions hitting me.
5) Try chatting with me first before attempting to 'yiff'. It's far easier to get me in the mood if you slowly talk me into it more or less, and sometimes I enjoy the foreplay far more then the actual RP. RPing a clothed sex scene is always fun ^.^.
6) Since I should have figured out a better order to these, but won't rearrange them cuz I'm lazy at this point, when giving me your description and don't have a picture, you need to give me more details then "Male wolf", that could mean -any- male wolf out there, I want details! Make me interested in your character, if they have a scar somewhere, that's interesting! What colour eyes am I going to be staring lustfully into, how big are those breasts, soft or course fur? There's so much I can play off of when given the information instead of having to guess, and this WILL show me you are at least capable of holding my attention if not more-so and give you a large advantage when attempting to get this bat's baggy pants off.
I think that will do for now... But here you go, now don't come complaining to me if you've seen this journal if I reject you. There's some reason in here for that, so work on whatever it was and try your luck another day.

I really want to have something like this done for Halloween just cuz it fits that mood *snickers*
It would be Midnight in an Insane Asylum padded cell, -very- dark (Probably barely seeing the padded walls anyways besides from moon light from the tiny barred window), Midnight bound in a straight jacket with -extra- buckles and straps, her wings either strapped or chained to the wall behind her, her head tilted down and hair all over the place, a grin on one side of her face with shadows covering the other half, the one eye showing glowing a little.. preferably having her tongue hanging out. Then "SCARY" type text just saying "Come a little closer and loosen these straps..." or something along those lines *giggles*

Can anyone help...
Posted 16 years agoI just about drove myself to break down at work with my worries... I'm going to explain what's been worrying me, and I'm hoping someone out there can either tell me if these are all related, separate things going on with me, if anything is serious and needs to be looked at asap, and what type of doctor I should approach. Tall order from any watchers... but I was on the verge of visibly shaking at work >.<
First, I have some form of Double Vision. I know I do but haven't ever been diagnosed with it because I didn't think anything of it. What I see though, is whatever object I'm focusing on is perfectly fine, no double image, but everything else has a 'phantom' image. I'm not sure if I should see a doctor or an optometrist for this, mainly because I'm worried it may link to other things.
EDIT: I apparently forgot to mention I've had double vision of this nature for at least 8-10 years, only recently realizing that's what it was... since I rarely if ever took off my glasses I just assumed it was a side effect of them.
Second, I get an increasing pressure when I read, situated mostly around the forehead and the eyes. This is probably what has me get in trouble with studying, because I can't stand it and have to constantly rest my eyes. Worst part, I love to type RP >.<
My eyes tend to get very dry and bloodshot almost all the time.
I have noticed over the years that I once in a while, only like 2-3 times a month, have a sudden and random spasm that makes my body shake, then it's gone within a second.
I will say, if it may help if someone happens to know if it's related, I was born with Spina Bifida, a mild form of such that had my spinal cord exposed on my back, which the doctors filled in or something... I really should find out exactly how they did it some day, happened when I was about 5 years old.
That's about all the problems that I can think of... but I'm getting worried it may be either a tumor or something of the like causing all of those, and if I had health insurance I'd be in the Doctor's office right now... but I don't, so if I pay the expenses for testing out of my pocket, I want to know I'm starting at the right spot.

So thanks for the laughs, the smirks, the "WTF" faces, and the eye brow raises at strange logic. And I don't see myself above sheeple, I'm posting a journal just like everyone else! Posted 16 years agoWell, I apologized to Dizzy and Radin already in a note, I'm sorry again but I just can't get myself to write either of their stories they wanted. Unfortunately I'm the type of person that I just can't force myself to write else it'll turn out like crap and I'll hate it >.<.
So, because of College classes starting up and such, I've decided to do something a little different. If you'd like to attempt to get a story written by me, post in this journal using this format if you could;
Description: (A general plot outline of the story)

Characters: (What characters are involved, can be any of mine if you desire! ^.^, just need pictures unless you don't have any, in which case just put the name and a brief description, I'll ask for more details if the story is selected)

Now, I'll pick my favorite two commission ideas from this journal on Oct. 1st and contact the two people who inspired me, and work everything out. You can submit as many story ideas as you want, just follow the format I have above, and please reply to your own thread to keep things orderly for me!

I'm looking for artists who have colored prices in that range if possible, though pointing me at anyone would be nice.
It's an action pose, so I'd be looking for someone who's fairly good at them ^.^, the general idea being this;
My character Midnight (Just scour my page to find her picture hehe) in a dark alleyway (Doesn't have to be a detailed background), her shirt ripped(May or may not be visibly topless), slid back and bent down, with some sort of weapon (Haven't decided what, but I may let the artist help figure it out too if they have any neat ideas ^.^), looking pissed hehe.
If you're an artist reading this and think you can do such just note me, else if you think you know some people to point me to, just tell meh! ^.^

Posted 16 years agoAlright, so yesterday I had a strange meeting with a long time fan of my character Midnight. I won't mention the details he went into with me, but I'll leave it as he loves Midnight a lot ^.~.
But he did tell me that he did draw Midnight from time to time, in different fetishes and such, normally naughty things (Too bad I couldn't see one *laughs* He didn't have a scanner), but I thought about it some. I really don't mind in the least if you want to make your own image or commission an image depicting one of my characters I have. Hell, it's particularly flattering that anyone would do that! Some people may not like it, but I'll tell you that I'm fine with it.
The ONLY rule I'll have if you want to make art using any of my characters, PM me first (Unless it's as a surprise gift <3) and then let me proudly display it when it's finished! And make sure you give me proper credit for my characters, else you'll get an angry batty on your butt, and that's only bad when I'm angry *rawrs*
But there are a few (I emphasize -few-) things I will not allow my characters to be depicted in doing, and that's pretty much everything in the No section of my RH ( http://rh.greydawn.net/browse.php?c.....20Fir%60Hunith ) (WARNING: NSFW SITE!). Otherwise, everything is fair game.
Alright, now that is out of the way, I also want to tell you all that if you want to ever chat with me for whatever reason, you can either find me on IRC on furnet ( http://www.furnet.org/ ) in the #hermsyiff channel, or if you have msn feel free to send a note and ask for it! Posted 16 years agoAlright, I think I'm just going to go with Majora's suggestion for my prices.
I am an extremely open person, but there's only a few fetishes out there I won't write about period;
Stories revolving around killing a main character, I don't mind death just leave it to people they're beating up/killing for the plot or unless it's a plot point for a secondary character to die.
Scat, either eating or whatever. I can make a point about it if say the scene is them on the toilet, but nothing sexual involving scat.
Very Fat people, as in those with sever weight issues for their height, involved in anything sexual. If I'm writing an erotic scene, I'd rather keep it to things I personally enjoy or like the idea of so that I can give you the best description that I can. Unfortunately this isn't one of those, sorry!
Beyond those, I can write about anything else imaginable. And if you think what you want me to write would be too odd or some such, feel free to send a note asking! Don't mind at all giving it a glance over to see if I can write it or not.

Hmmm... Pondering of opening commissions
Posted 16 years agoWell after I did the auction Story for Radin, shi asked how much it would be to commission a second chapter! You know, I have no idea what's fair for stories, I can get a general idea if my medium was art, but I have no clue for stories.
So, to the few of you that watch me (Few compared to a lot of other people on here), what do you think is a fair price per 1000 words written? Or should it be per page? Or per hour written?

Posted 16 years agoAlright, well for those of you with Second Life out there, I put myself, or Kari Faulkes as I'm named in SL, up for Auction in EXL's Mordheim Meat Market auction they have going on this week! What can you get from me if you win you may ask?
You can pick from these options! (I hope I spelled these out clearly enough in the posting that's at the EXL's mainstore, in the lounge area)
Well, you can get a private RP with me over 5 hours or split up if timing is an issue, any of my characters of your choice. There's very little that I won't touch! *eg*
You could also pick for me to do the editing work of the pictures I submit of my SL avatars and friends for your own SL avatar. And if you want, I can make your Avatar up into a character reference sheet if desired!
Or you could pick for me to write a story involving any of your own characters in any sort of situation you desire, and I will try to get the request done within a week ^.^.
Now, I wanted to put this with the auction listing, but there were technical difficulties along with the site going slow as hell, but if the bid is ridiculously high for me, the winner can choose two of those options ^.^. (Somewhere over 10,000 $L)

Posted 16 years agoAlright, since everyone else has one of these, MJ died. I'll mourn the loss of a person, but in my eyes only the early MJ was great. I've watched him deteriorate and saddened that he went through all of that. Maybe this was for the better for him, maybe not. But he is still a legend and will continue to be one til either all historic information is completely erased or the universe ceases to be.

Posted 16 years agoJust curious if any of my watchers (Though I'm sure a good amount of you are like me and barely pay attention to the journals) who are in Second Life would buy a more 'fuzzy' looking skin from me if I were to make them? If you want to see my handy work, you can pester me when I'm online ( Kari Faulkes ), since I updated my Chimera with a custom skin I made myself. I may actually start selling them if I get a good response ^.^

Posted 17 years agoWell I've had a lot on my mind this weekend...
My sister drove into town with her 4 almost 5yr old daughter to my Mother's house, whom lives about an hour and a half away from where I'm at. My niece then started complaining that her butt was hurting, there was no sign of rash, so they took her to the closest hospital.
The doctors apparently said there were 3 possibilities, Kidney Infection, Appendicitis, or a problem with her bowels which were backed up and probably causing the pain my niece was describing. These, while fully curable and good that we caught them, lead my mother to believe that this could be all caused by Spina Bifida (Just look it up if you're curious, there's many varying degrees to it, and this would probably be a lesser one since we haven't caught it yet in her.)
Now why I'm upset at this diagnosis is that my sister, brother, and I all have a genetic form of Spina Bifida, I believe we were the 10th or so reported case back in the 1980's of this at least in the USA so this is very rare to find. This also means the three of us run a roughly 50% chance of passing it onto our children. The three of us had to go through a lot of back surgeries to 'cure' the problem when we were my niece's age.
Then yesterday my mother called back in the afternoon, the CAT scan came back, or it may have been an MRI, either way the doctors are now worried about spinal tethering, and I have yet to get another phone call over what's happening.
I also am worried about my sister, since she yelled at my Mother for pushing these tests, but I'm sure this is just her defense mechanism in these situations is to be angry to not show herself.
My mother always says I'm lucky, but right now I want to pass my luck onto my niece but can't do anything but sit and wait for updates.
