Final Fantasy 7 Remake delayed
Posted 5 years agoUuuuuuuggggghhhhhh.....ahhhh well, we got catching up to do, that's fine.
People are gonna mention the Digital....
We don't do that. But as said, it's fine. Got other stuff to do, so when they finally DO get it out....
Oh ho ho ho...I can't wait! That's definitely the next one to work on!

Randall Contest?
Posted 5 years agoYou know, maybe we should look into a contest thingy!
I'm not being involved in entries....
Oh, not us. But maybe since his birthday's coming up, they could be about Randall!
Huh...well that is coming up soon.
Yeah, get some recognition in there!
Hm, I guess so.
Yeah, a lot of stuff people can do. Like when in college at MU or a Scarer in MI. You know he's got some self-esteem issues, so some fan stuff would be great for him!
Well, that is a thing about him, I can understand that...he has been a little iffed since Kingdom Hearts.
Well there we go! Maybe it should be stories instead of art since that might be easier...
Huh, guess if you get any bites, might look into it...
Oh, should we include that he would be in diapers somehow?
What? You mean like he is now? Not sure he'd like that...
Might make him feel better about the whole thing! I mean, he's recovered pretty well over the years, but seems like he still wears them...
Ugh...fine. But if he wants to kill somebody afterward, it'll be you.

March 2020 (Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX)
Posted 5 years agoOk, fine, I'm busy, what's going on this month?
Uhh...lets see...whoops...got it backwards.
That's fine, go ahead.
Uhh...Persona Royal's coming out at the end of the month!
Oh yeah...can wait on that though, FF7 got delayed thankfully.
I'm SO glad we finally finished the original playthrough though, what a ride! Uhh....let's see...Randall's birthday is this month.
Know about that, right...
Umm...other than that, the standard workload....oooh! Mystery Dungeon DX is coming out for Pokemon on the Switch this week.
Of which we don't have one....
Should we do something for it? Know you like your new Poke-form Az!
Eh...maybe...I'm kind of exhausted so my ideas are eh.
Oh oh! If we can't come up with anything, maybe we can see commenter ideas!
.......I am not going to---
Oh I'm sure they'll be kind for ya Az! I mean why watch someone ya don't respect?
...within reason.
Coolies! You go lie down while I poke what fans we have for a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon DX idea!

*Some Clever New Years Subject* (2020)
Posted 6 years agoSee, told ya. You're safe heh.
Oh...phew....uh...why's everything...dark?
What?....Oh for the love of....*furious clicking* What IS it with humans and changing things so much and....THERE we go, back to normal...
Oh boy...another new year...
Yeah...pfft.
Come on, let's do the thing about what we're looking forward to!
Eh, not much...
Oh come ooooon! Even the little things! Think of anything.
Pff....ok. ok.....lets see.....
Games of 2020
Final Fantasy 7 Remake
Probably the most anticipated thing of the year...and like Kingdom Hearts, it appears in the first three months. Essh. What's with the good stuff at the start of the year and things sucking later? Anyway, this has been a want for a LOT OF PEOPLE ever since the PS3's graphical showcase. Seeing such an iconic entry in the FF series updated is cool and all, though am a bit wary of the episodic format and whatever the new content is (and boy does it seem like they're adding in some big stuff). That said, if they keep even just half of the FF7 stuff and can manage to make just a SECTION of the original as a full game, then, well, something to look forward to.
The Last of Us Part 2
The original was a real cringe for, well, all of us when playing/watching. That's because it's so real and so tense, with the rough edges brought on by a near-truthful interpretation of a spore infestation and how humanity can be just as dangerous in a rather vegative apocolypse. I have to say, a little reminded of Doru and Randall when I played this, though the later didn't let the former play it at first (though he already did heh). The first part was AMAZING when it came out and it still shines today. This next part seems to up the stakes even MORE with a personal touch of revenge being the driving force. Honestly, if you played the first, and seen this one's playable trailer, you know why people look forward to this one.
Psychonauts 2
This was way back in the PS2 days, where a BUNCH of good stuff was. The original Psychonauts was made by Double Fine Productions. But it's Tim Schafter's work with Full THrottle and Grim Fandango that sealed the deal for me, that was awesome, funny work, and Psychonauts proved to be in the same ballpark, even more so with it's strange but alluring concept of entering the minds of others. The second one is coming soon, and it's focus on a greater threat and the explaination of Raz's past is too tempting to pass up.
Also, funny note, Raz's VA is Richard Horvitz, who recently did work in Helluva Boss, a side-project from the maker of Hazbin Hotel. Props to Horvitz for managing to return as Raz while at the same time supporting an independant project!
Cyberpunk 2077
Honestly, I neverh eard of the original before. I know, right? But I'm keeping myself on closed doors about this one so that if I take interest, it'll be fresh and new. All I know is that Keanu Reeves is involved somehow. Then again, he's also included in a future Bill & Ted, so I don't know what that says about him nowadays....then again, John Wick's awesome.
Tales of Arise
It's a Tales game, 'enough said. Though I am a bit cocnerned that it'll depart from the core of the series' attributes....
Resident Evil 3
I've seen AH's work with 2, and it looks like the remake came out pretty well. Introducing 3 seems like the logical next step (uh...so no 1 by the way?). The Nemisis? Oh jeez....that guy popping up out of nowhere in the original...how's he gonna be in THIS!?
Digimon Survive
Honestly, one problem with Pokemon/Digimon games is that it implies that lower-levels, like Rookies and first-stage Pokemon, are too weak to stand up to bigger boys...which is kinda against the whole 'underdog' concept...which is why I don't really play them too much. What attracts me to THIS game, though, is the concept of it's danger and alarming fact of death. Digimon got ahead of the curve in terms of that with the passing of Wizardmon, way before Pokemon FINALLY bit the bullet with a death of it's own, albiet not as talked about. This just goes to show that Digimon's got a bit more maturity than Pokemon does, and given that the series is also getting a movie that shows how the original 7 have evolved on their own...it's going to be an interesting year for Digis.
Fiilms of 2020
Mulan
...oh, wait, no Mushu...nah, nevermind THAT.
Bad Boys for Life
Slight interest. I saw the original two a LONG time ago, and they were fun enough. I guess it's just nice to see Will Smith possibly going back to his comfort zone again after the whole Genie thing.
Sonic The Hedgehog
THEY FIX IT. Well, the design of Sonic at least. The story will probably suck. I mean, WHY move it to Earth? Put it on Mobius....ugh. Oh well, you can't ask for perfection every time. Dedicated fans, just wait for the reboot. You know, like how they did for Spiderman like 5 times.
Artemis Fowl
Actually NOT looking forward to this, given how they butchered it. I'll be fair and give it a view maybe before final judgment....but...I've read the books....'enough said.
Ghostbusters Afterlife
The Ghostbusters 'reboot' was....ehh, ok. I mean it was living up to the originals and all so...anyway, this new Afterlife thing seems to be a continuation of the originals instead, with direct callbacks and a new, younger batch of Ghostbusters finding the old tools of the original four. I have to say the preview didn't give away TOO much, mostly as to what 'threat' there is, as no real ghosts were actually seen (curious)...so if they keep up that kind of hidden momentum, it might turn out well.
Dolittle
I actually recently saw a trailer for this, and honestly, am surprised Robert Downey Jr. was allowed out of the Iron Man suit to do something else. But, glad. I was getting Sherlock Holmes vibes from the trailer, which is awesome, I loved those films, and honestly think it'll be enjoyable.
Ehh...all I can think of for now, and I'm exhausted....
Oooh nice! Not bad! See, a few things!
Some of them are a bit wavy but ehh...honestly...probably going to be the same as last year...why are these things celebrated again...?
Oh...phew....uh...why's everything...dark?

2020 Ain't It Funny
Posted 6 years agoOoooh...end of the year around the corner...2020 by their calender...weird to say it...
Oooh! I thought I heard a diaper crinkle in here...
Tch...
I was wondering where you went. You alright?
It's been a long year...not up for the party scene down the road.
Oh? Anything to look forward to next year?
Ehh...maybe that FF7 remake...that one Pixar series, but they're Disney, so they'll mess up...uhh...don't know what else...not really celebrate-able this upcoming year as far as I can tell in my state....
C'mon it's a happy holiday they have near the end of the year! You should have fun!
Want to have fun? How 'bout YOU be Mr. 'Baby New Year' for this year eh?
Oh...um, well, that's, um not exactly what I---
Sure you'd look great heh heh.
Didn't you suggest that last year??
Yep, 100 new, decent, comments on stuff and it could happen. But as expected, no goes, so you were safe.
Oh right...yay heh...
Maybe should try again this year heh heh.
Oh come on Az, I don't think we need to---
It'll be fun heh heh.

Halloween 2019!
Posted 6 years agoWell it's that month again! October! Halloween! Yay! While Az isn't too enthusiastic given how hard things usually go in doing stuff for the holiday, I'm trying to keep up his mood. Sooooo...what's the month looking like? Films? Games? Stuff like that?
TGS W&R
Posted 6 years agoSooooo....the 2019 Tokyo Game Show is going on now....that's a thing....
Thought you said they seemed to be filling in the gaps for the Kingdom Hearts one....?
I said that yeah. But there was FF7 too.
.....OOOOH! The Turks! Sector 7! The....oh no, they're really going to hehehe...they're going to do that Don Corneo bit!?
If there was ONE thing in the original that that made me side-ways glance, it was THAT. Oh geez....it just tahahaha...well...gotta give'em credit to go through with it in this age on Earth. Kudos/!
Oooh wow....
But the Turks! Jeez....I remember Reno....his boss fight preceded one of the biggest losses in the game...literally.
What's with all these ghosts??
That's the new stuff, no idea...BUT...it definitely has to do with Gainsborough...I mean....what happens to HER was a BIG thing in the original....they keeping THAT right? I mean THAT'S the big one....

Poke-Cation Returns!...Maybe
Posted 6 years agoHey everybody! Rigel here! Well, summer is, hopefully, in it's final month this year, and now's the time for a much needed vacation. A Poke-Cation that is!
Last year me and Az did some of Pokemon Sun and shared our experiences and thoughts as we went through the first island in the game. Well, we're played through the second island and are aiming to do the same this time! Personally, I think it was fun and now that Az has his much more comfortable Salandit form....heh, ironically we DID catch one on this island!....should be even better!
So, those interested, watch us through this month for some snapshots of our vaycay!

6-Year Anniversary Redux!
Posted 6 years ago....ok....TODAY is the anniversary of the first transmission.....ugggghh...this time I made SURE to get the right one....
Really ironic that it was after the Hunter X Hunter finale huh?
Yeah, weird timing right? All those years of watching and it comes to an end now? Weird. Then again, a lot of things aren't weird for US....
Soooo true.

E3 2019
Posted 6 years agoIt's that time of the year again! Or at least, that week or so of the year. Anyway, it's E3! Well technically I guess it started a few days ago, but they call that E3 Play or something but uhh...either way, it's a big thing for the newest stuff from the future of the industry to come out. So, express the hype! Me and Az are kind of swamped, so we'll only get key-ins here and there on what's shown and brought up, but hey, maybe there's something our watchers or viewers saw and are looking forward to!
I know there should be a bunch of Square stuff, already know about the KH3 Remind bit (ooooh boy), as well as that game being made with that Game of Thrones guy (did he ever finish those books? No? Huh...), and we are psyched at the new Tales game announcement!
So go ahead people, anything pop up that we haven't gotten around to hearing about yet, or something you're looking forward to?

It's RIGHT there on the front too...ugh....
All make mistakes heh...just means we don't have to do something later eh?

Kingdom Com(ming)
Posted 7 years agoOoooh can't wait! Seventeen days left! First bestest thing of the new year!
...huh...look at that...
Hmm? Oh! News update...uhh....oooh...
Day-one paaaatch....
Oooh....umm...is it....bad?
*shrugs* Lets say Activision should take lessons. No, not too bad. An update to give an archive for newcomers to the series (though why in the world would you BEGIN playing 3 is beyond me)...and...oh...the secret video and...epilogue....
Oh! It really was true! It's not the end of Kingdom Hearts after this third one!
Told ya.
Oh...you uhh...mad about it?
Eh *shrugs* Like said, not as bad as the other thing. I hate day-one stuff that the game needs, especially when they're main stays to a series. BUT, it's funny that Nomura had no faith in humanity that he held back the biggest spoilers because he KNEW there would be people who would leak the game TAH!
Oooh...ouch...
Yeah heh. But I respect that. Sucks we don't have the game 100% complete, but these things should be minor, and hopefully with no trouble, and can't blame Nomura for being justifiably cautious.
Yeah...days later huh? Hmm...well that's ok! The game's long, and you shouldn't rush it, given how long we've waited!
Five Ryos that people will try to one-day-complete it.
I...I know that's a losing bet...
You and Nomura both heh heh.

New Year Approaches
Posted 7 years agoPhew! Already getting close to the new year for Earth! 2019!
Eh.
Oh come on Az! Gotta be something you're looking forward to?
...well at least the start of the year has something.
Oooooh yes! Kingdom Hearts 3 FINALLY! It looked so GOOD! I can't wait to do that one!
Ugh...month and a half away...we are going to be OCC-U-PIED doing that one.
I think we've both pegged it as our gift this year!
Pretty easy guess....
Erm, still haven't thought of ideas for the season though huh?
Lots to do Rigel. We can't all be classified as Civilian you know.
Right right, but you're at least relaxing on New Years right?
As much as I can. Huh....year of the PIG? Jeez...humans have weird affiliations for things...
Like how New Years they got Father Time and the New Years Baby? Huh, Pig, wonder if this year the kiddo will be large...
Teh. You're always in a golly mood in holidays, why don't YOU be the NYB this year heh.
Wh-what? You mean the whole...top hat, sash and uhh...diaper thing?
You brought up the affiliation heh.
Oh uhh no that's fine heh heh.
People asked for it before heh. Then again some think it's some sort of style back home, eessh.
Oh, well, I don't need them so it's kind of weird heh.
Agreed on that one. Would take like a hundred comments from different people to see something like that ha!
Good thing we're not famous heh heh...
Anyway...KH is a good start to the year...and if it comes to a good close...hopefully a good show of how the year will do in full...
Eh.

Random Stuff
Posted 7 years ago2018 is slowly edging to a close now, and soon we'd have to look back on the year and see how things went........ehhh, I'm just going to journal.
Hey Rigel, how'd Spyro do?
Ooooh, just as remembered on the first go! Improvements though, all those graphical details helped out!
People say it's pretty....nostalgic to a tee.
Yeah...they are...and I suppose it's true...
*shrugs* But so what, the original 3 games were great. If current gamers don't get it or find it fun, loss for them and their drive to be #1 in some battle royale...
Heh heh. Though, it is just the first few levels I've gone though with the time I managed to get, so have to see.
And that download?
Oooooooh....right...that...ummmmm....that's uhh....yeah that's umm...
Figured heh heh.
Maybe be able...don't know heh...our compatibility with Earth stuff is making it difficult so....well...maybe they'll...make a....re-release?
Given how petty Activision is being about SUBTITLES? Heh....we'll see. Then again...more money....
Saw Fantastic Beasts! Managed to sneak that observer in a theater!
Yeah...not too bad. Good ride...though wish they put in more of the actual BEASTS....there were just a couple...
I feel bad for that lizard guy at the start...sorry buddy...
Eh, probably fell in the ocean too, he's fine. May come back to bite Grindelwald...figuratively or literally heh.
And that TWIST!
Yeah...that confused me. I SWORE that he worked at that Inn in Harry's time...
I think you're right...yep, right.
So....
We'll spoil things Az!
Ain't that one of the true purposes of the internet?
Good point....
Yeah, though we got gipped on that Kingdom Hearts 3 promo people said was before the film...
Yeah...was looking forward to that too. We did see other previews though.
Yeah...Aladdin live-action....wonder how that'll go...
Detective Pikachu?
Oh yeah, that one was the stand out....Live Action Pokemon? Jeez. Haven't seen that since that Pokeapocolypse thing...
I think it looks pretty good...
I agree. I know people have a problem with that whole uncanny valley thing...but come on...this is like the first official LIVE ACTION for Pokemon. It's not finished yet, there's over 800 or so of them, and it's the FIRST ONE...give some slack people...
Ryan as the VA though heheh...I just...I kept hearing Deadpool heh heh.
Me too! I don't if it's the "Right" choice........but it may be the "fun" choice heh heh.
Looks pretty uhh...more dangerous in live action....or maybe it's just the film...
Explosions...Greninja assassins...Charizard about to eat Pikachu (probably will be saved). Honestly, like a LOT of people, I thought the stapler was a gun...
Me too! I mean...guns aren't in the Pokemon universe are they?
Ooooh, they will be now...
At least it seems the KH promo came out in the trailer recently!
KH3 is finished in development. Man...it's going to be a great opener for the new year....
Yep! I'm going to try to focus on that the moment it comes!
I'm in on the watch for that myself.
Figured hehehe. I'll strap on my gloves, and you strap on your diiiii----
........
----iiiiiiistinctive personality heh heh heh...
*facepalms* Great...that's all people will take away from this....
Whatever...I'm looking forward to it to...hopefully a good precursor to a better year...

Son of a Witch! Halloween
Posted 7 years agoOk everyone! Halloween is nearly around the corner! Last year, me and Az got really into the spirit and managed to pump out a lot of stuff. This year, we're kind of exhausted and won't be able to do something like that, but we wanted to at least do SOMETHING small if we could.
So! Ideas people! Halloween plans! Halloween experiences! Games? Films? Throw it all out there and we'll see what sticks, or stabs!

Well Well Well.... (Spyro)
Posted 7 years agoAz is znoozing, but he's going to be stoked when I tell him what I found! Weird how this happened almost after our post about the subject eh? Almost as if we had something to do with it...*wink wink*
https://blog.activision.com/t5/More...../ba-p/10807365
Yep! Spyro's been delayed to November! I know, I know, it sucks when a game gets delayed, but hey, it's just a few months. And look at it this way, Toys for Bob is REALLY showing their dedication to get this stuff all done, and Activision putting a chain on them to get done and out before they even get things finished was harsh. Now, though, it seems they're getting a bit more slack. Which is cool, according to some, Spyro won't have as much competition in November, and they won't suffer any degrading because of time. Dragons are popular, especially this one ha ha!
But, what this also could mean is that all three of the games may go on one disc (or multiples, depending), after all. While some, like IGN, say that there may still be a download thing of some sort (though this may extend to DLC), this delay in release date certainly gives the option that that particular problem may not matter anymore, and everybody can get what they want!
Oh, I so wanna give him the good news, but he needs to sleep....oh well, I need to sleep too, I just hyped for this and now that....I have....done...that I......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz I'm up! I'm up! ok....logging out. Later all!

6th Year Anniversary
Posted 7 years agoWell, it's been six years since starting these transmissions.
I don't know really how to feel about that, or clear on what to say about it. After time drags on and you experience moments of joy and sadness, it sometimes becomes sort of a convoluted mess. You eventually get use to disappointment and lack of personal progress, and save up injections of humor or pleasant experience to use to keep yourself chugging along.
I've gotten side-tracked here and there and haven't been able to work on transmission packets of the stuff that's gone on here for a long while now. Mainly I either get overworked, tired, or distracted trying to keep my sanity that I lose what time I used to have. There are a lot more than the three or four that I've gotten through, a whole lot that's happened, but maybe I get sort of overwhelmed remembering all the close-calls...
You always manage Az. I kind of admire that sorta strength. That's what makes you the leader!
Uhh...heh...not a leader...I'm stuck in the mess like everyone else.
Oh come on. You started things! Sure, you may not try to put on a smile for everyone or are the...greatest shot with a pistol...but you've been through stuff on this ship longer than me and Aeryn have.
Yeah, and it's kind of made me a cynic. I know there's a sucky thing around the corner.
But you always steer us through it.
Ok, if I do, guess I'm tired of steering.
Whiiiiich is why I'm helping out now heh heh, taking a little off ya shoulders. Aeryn might...in...the...future...
I suppose...
Come on buddy...what doesn't kill us makes you stronger---
---that's a dumb statement.
Ooooookkk....what doesn't kill us....uhh...
Will...kill us later...
Unless Aeryn gets to it.
Got me there.
There we go! There's been some good times...you've just hit a slump and are digging out of it. It's not going to happen overnight...and I know, it's not just on you, it's up to the people around you too...
I'm not singing Kumbaya...
Ok, not to that extent...I know the transmissions started six years ago, and we've been around for some time longer than that...but hey, we got some fans, sure they'll cheer us on in the trouble we get into.
Oh wow, an audience to our calamity.
Isn't that sorta what this all started as?
....got me again.
Hehehehe. Ok buddy, just hang in there, we got through another year and we'll work on getting you bad into a good place kay? Lets see...Spyro's coming, that'll be great, dragons need some good publicity! And Kingdom Hearts at the start of next year, can start things with a bang! So hitch up that diaper and look forward to the good things this year!
...you know you can be annoyingly cheerful sometimes right?
Don't think you need a wet blanket type of person right now heh heh!
Essssh.

E3 2018
Posted 7 years agoAbout time I made a new journal. Hmm.......uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......
Oh yeah, E3 2018's coming up.
======
Sony...
Death Stranding...morely just to see what Metal Gear's creator's neweest creation is like. I mean the whole break off way back and the canceling of the next Silent Hill will make even the stingest person grab this game just to shove it in Konami's face.
The Last of Us Part 2. I've seen playthroughs of this, have the game but haven't been able to play yet, but the Last of Us was a fantastic game with a great story. The sequel looks to add in darker tones (in already dark world), and we take control of Ellie...and she's not the child she was in the original game, and we're going to be seeing a lot of hate in this one. Ooooh ho ho, gonna be good.
Microsoft...
Kind of "eh" for me. Fable was a decent series...maybe it'll come out of the dust.
Nintendo....
I'm not really that interested in the Switch. I'm happy with my Sony than you. But I am intrigued by the new Smash Bros...especially they're new contenders (especially that rumor that Spyro and Crash may attend).
The next core Pokemon coming to a CONSOLE is also intriguing...but remains to be seen if Nintendo can pull it off with a franchise that has made it's name in portable circles.
EA,,,,,
Uhhh....I'm gonna pass.
Ubisoft....
I've dabbled in Assassin's Creed and all, but the big thing here for me is Beyond Good & Evil 2. The original was such a great game. It wasn't perfect, but it did a LOT of things decently enough (from combat, story telling, characters, side-missions, world building, emotion) that it deserves respect. The sequel (or prequel rather), seems to turn things back a lot...with uhh...abundance in speech...and a sort of pirate-like theme, with subtle overtones to plot and characters from the first installment. Right now, I'm unsure what to make of it. The starting trailer they gave was amazing (though the language put me off a bit, they didn't need it in the first one to be great, but whatever), and the thought of running your own crew of misfits is intriguing. Still, how it all flows together and connects to the first installmenti s yet to be seen...so hopefully get some more info.
Bethesda....
Rage 2 was a surprised. I actually did play the first one way back and thought it to be a decent enough game. At first, it was a little difficult to scrouge around for things, but that made the initial moments tense and strategic. Once you get a rythem down (not to mention those bots you could craft), you could go endless rounds in tournament to fill your wallet up for whatever your needs are. The ending to Rage, however, fell really flat, with just a defense at the end and no real big boss or anything, which was disappointing. The game felt...unfinished, incomplete. Unfortunately it looks like 2 may be having a new protagonist and a different story, which kind of leads the first one to a "why did we do this again?". Oh well, at least it's got a sequel.
Fallout 76....while I'm not an online player, I'm glad that Fallout is getting some multiplayer love. Hopefully the single player experience won't be forgotten in later additions, however.
From Square...
We got the Final Fantasy 7 Remake...well...it's first epsidoe anyway. I've kind of avoided this one for the most part, as the remake (not to metion seperation) of a PS classic as big as it is would literally take longer than we all think to come out. I mean really, it's split into episodes. If you want to take Final Fantasy 7 Remake's COMPLETION, we'd have to wait till ALL of them are done. To be honest, some games suffer from this (.hack for instance), when they're separated. So...i preferred to simply wait until this one shows up.
Kingdom Hearts on the other hand...is a multitude of franchises coming together. And with 3 including the first Pixar worlds and stepping up the antee in many ways, I tried to keep my eyees peeled for new stuff. It was amazing that leaked footage from MI turned out to be true and that additions like parties up to five members open up new options for this entry
It kind of boggles the mind that KH3 is ONLY the end of the XEHANORT saga...and that there may very well be more KH after this.
Oh yeah, E3 2018's coming up.

April Fools from Activision! *update*
Posted 7 years agoI dunno how I missed it, but then again, I don't follow Activision much and given that it was near the end of March, getting ya hopes up don't mean crap. Buuuuut whatever, learned about it today, and it kinda makes sense why there are scorch marks in the lounge...
Anyway, apparently Activision had some live stream thing or whatever, and people were getting their hopes up about the Spyro Trilogy being announced and wellllll....it wasn't.
Ok, if they weren't going to announce it, fine, but if you're not going to announce it during a LIVE STREAM....then TELL PEOPLE beforehand.
Ugh, well anyway...I think this is a helpful little gif of Spyro's feelings toward Activision's "taunt with candy" marketing strategy for his remaster. Behold the power of fans who can actually make good stuff with Spyro Activision.
http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images.....52/203/8e2.gif
Just add an "S" at the end there, and it makes it right. Later all.
===
Seems after knowing not to throw rocks at the dragon (or his fans), and trying to save face with an egg-marketing strategy (that trick only works once Activision, and the Hatchimals did it), Activision FINALLY announced the freakin' thing. And now people can go on with their lives knowing the remaster is locked in.
Of course, people will complain about the graphics, the music, the new animations, blah blah blah...but whatever, it's finally out there despite a failed hype. And despite it all, lets face it...no matter what...this remastered Spyro doesn't look as bad as that Skylander one right?

13 Days of Halloween!
Posted 8 years agoHello all! Az and me have been working our tails off trying to be in good Halloween spirits, and some of that we're gonna see to share! We're gonna try to bring up some things from now up until the 31st in thirteen days of Halloweeny-themed stuff! So stay tuned daily!
---
Update
----
Welp, that's it! Halloween is over and we are done! Phew. Well, we're tired over here and Az isn't in the best of moods, but we got through the thing so I guess that's something. There's some quick stuff coming this new month, I think, so guess we'll see!

You-Tubed, You-Screwed (rant)
Posted 8 years agoOk, it's been an exhausting and debilitating couple of weeks/months/I-don't-know, so updates will probably be bleak. I don't want to rant too much, because I got a migraine, but when stupid stuff happens, it's natural to complain. Sometimes it's nice to rise above it, take your lumps and move on....
...right now, I don't feel to care about doing that, so let me get into it.
As said, it's been difficult, and one of the few things that give me some laughs or fill in some blank time to try and get me motivated, is watching some content on Youtube.
There's tons of stuff on there. But of course, gotta be responsible. You got stuff to do, and cat videos for hours on end isn't going to get you anywhere in life. But on occasion, you can watch a favorite player doing Drawful with fans and have a nice laugh at it. Or, see games being played that you don't have access to but want to see. Or see them do one YOU'VE done and join in their experience (or constantly resist the urge to yell at the screen saying "THE COLLECTIBLE IS OVER THERE! YOU WERE LOOKING AT IT!")
But recently, something's cropped up that may endanger some of the lesser known channels on Youtube. It's not so much that it happened that's the tragedy...it's because it's born out of something just so...stupid and petty. That it results in more people paying for mistakes of a few that's just...wrong.
Demonetization.
For those "Not in the Know", after gaining some decent ground as a channel on Youtube, you can partner with them for an ad service for your vids. Personally, I dislike ads mid-way in a video, but lets focus here. The purpose of the ad service, and viewers interacting with them, leads to the channel owner getting a little money here and there. It's not much (depending on how many click), but for the smaller channels it's enough to support some modest costs or (in some cases), purchase a new game to play for the viewers/fans in a sort of cycle.
Now while it seems to have gone on for the past year or so, it's become drastically more apparent recently. Youtube raised the bar. And not in that fun James Cameron "raising the bar and fighting Randy Newman" way that South Park did it.
Now, many vids from these channels are not getting their ads for monitization, being given vague or no reasons for it. And that's not all, even their PAST vids have been demonetized for the same vagueness, vids which have been up for YEARS.
This may not sound too big at first. Ok, so the vids aren't getting money, but they're still there right? Yes, and that's good for US. But what about the makers? Some of them are small time, but decent suppliers of entertainment. What they make off this service for their hard work may not be much, but it's something many have relied on for years. To have it stripped away in an instant is rather a swift kick between the legs...by a bigger leg....coated in daggers and salt.
Some have even made their work on making vids and putting them on a site as either a sort of career or pastime, with the justification that they are making a little money doing so. Not now though.
So why is Youtube doing this? Well I'm not in the mood to be as information heavy as Game Theory (did they get demonetized?....no video about it? Ok, good. Not yet anyway), but from what I can tell, it started like most things started....
...with the most SINGLE RECOGNIZABLE PERSON IN THE MEDIUM.
I'm talking PewDiePie.
Personally, I haven't watched any of this guy's vids aside from some of his early stuff (just to see what the heck the popularity was about), but I just know he's just "the guy" when Lets Plays come up. See, PewDiePie was originally a Lets Player on Youtube...then started moving toward more personal stuff....and as the world changed, so did he. He seemed to get into more risky material that, unfortunately, flagged with....various things (such as ads) that PewDiePie associated with.
So, essentially, the "big dog" on YouTube did some risky stuff, it was interpreted (rightfully or wrongly so) as being uhh...what's the human thing called? Racist? Yeah, there we go. Anyway, BECAUSE of that, as far as the situation on Youtube goes, foreign and domestic third-party relations with PewDiePie started "pulling back" so as not to be "associated" with him.
You know, fine. Ok, PewDiePie is doing just fine with all his other support structures. The guy's got over 50 million subscribers. Even limited, he'll probably do fine. I get it, some ads don't want to associate with some material...
....but then, like a snowball thrown down Everest...the inevitable happened, again. EVERYONE ELSE GETS SHOVED IN THE CROSSFIRE.
So, these ads that pulled from PewDiePie "suddenly" come to the realization that "Oh wait, there's SO many people LIKE this guy that our ads are associated with! Oh dear me, they could be doing the same things! We must oust ourselves from this depravity! No matter the cost!"
....really? Ok, so because "big dog" makes a mistake, EVERYONE has to pay for it? Well, seems so. Because ads are necessary for Youtube to function (if I recall), they had to bow to the owners of the clips and do something....
Ok fine, I get it. Sorry Youtube, that these ad makers are being total idiots in letting their association with someone hit everyone else, you included....
...but my sympathy stops when you take your "so-called" actions. Sure, I get it. There are literally thousands of videos posted every hour, and a lot of it is total crap made by morons. You have to expect that. So instead of the impossible task of combing through with a large staff, you have filters do the task for you.
Problem? Yes. Filters aren't always a good judge of character. And this is what's affecting Let's Players and other channels on Youtube. Vids that were fine even before all this mess are now just as affected as those posted today or tomorrow.
So to break it down.
Big Dog PewDiePie makes a mistake, ads and such pull from him, they get in their heads to demand that their stuff in other places (like Youtube) get censored for inappropriate material by association, Youtube bends to their will like Vader to Palpatine and (because they can't comb through all the stuff that comes in by hand) uses filters to decide what does and doesn't get their ads, the result being decent (but not mega-hitting) channels losing their means and ends support.
See how messed up this is? Inappropriate material? COME ON. Companies place their ads around the stuff ALL THE TIME. Just turn on to REGULAR television and look at all that "violent" material their ads are placed between. Get off the high horse already. And why get antsy about OTHER channels? That's petty, they've run your ads for YEARS, if there's been "damage" from stuff, it's already BEEN done, so stop going all mountain (out of a molehill) on things.
I get why Youtube is doing what they're doing. They get a lot of their support from ad revenue, and losing it would be a huge hit. I get it, that's company survival. They can't go through the sheer onslaught of videos by hand for these "issues" that their ad lords "suddenly" got a problem with. But leaving it to filters, which give no good reasons for their actions, is going to hit people that don't deserve it.
The ad companies are being extremely petty. Youtube is being a dog on a leash, following it's masters' whim.
PewDiePie made the mistake Ad Lords, and sure, he apologized. But if you want to have an issue, just have it with him, a guy who's doing well enough on his own...don't bring it to modest people doing the best they can for a pittance YOU CAN SPARE.
...right now, I don't feel to care about doing that, so let me get into it.

Seasonal Feeling
Posted 9 years agoWhoa, been awhile since a new journal. Busy busy busy mixed with complications, yadda yadda yadda. Needless to say, the overhaul has left me slightly Halloween-deprived, which is kind of unfortunate. I've tried getting into the spirit of things, but it's difficult unfortunately.
Sure, maybe could watch some scary movies. But that's not completely "Halloweeny". I mean something like Hocus Pocus seems more the style than say Halloween, the movie (that's a slasher flick rather than something about the actual holiday theme.
Games? I have some backlogged, and might get myself into the spirit. It's upsetting no new Silent Hill is on the horizon. Resident Evil, it seems, is starting to get a revival. But it's first person perspective makes me wonder of it's success...
I dunno, maybe I want more of things centering on Halloween itself rather than total scare factor. I mean take uhh...Costume Quest. Cute little game. Involved around Halloween, candy, costumes, with some actual game-play elements. Stuff like that. It doesn't have to be horror or suspense, but about that time of the year where the strange and weird things that come up give us some enjoyment.
Sure horror and suspense is fine. I've been seeing Obscure and Outlast playthroughs and it's fun,..but I'm just not getting the holiday spirit from it. Maybe certain issues have left me a bit weathered to the point of not enjoying it as much, but maybe I just need a shot of good ole' Hallowjuice to get back into the swing. Too bad it's not long till the actual holiday...
