Summer report and MU View
General | Posted 12 years agoPHEW! Haven't been in for awhile, but finally managed to have the time.
Sun's creeping in now, so gotta change a few things around ship for this season, so going to be busy-busy-busy. Still, going to try to upload transmissions when I can. But so you know, I am alive, not dead...well...not yet anyway hm hm.
But oh yeah, I saw Monsters University. It was ok. Can't remember my college days, so maybe I missed out on some jokes and stuff, but overall I thought it was pretty fun. Reminded me a bit of home in fact, and maybe blending into monster society may not be too hard for me after all hehehe.
Bunch of stuff about their educational practice, obviously, and I was blown away by how much there is to simply scareing a person. Having been in such situations myself (not a coward), I can attest to that surprise. The Frats/Sorts reminded me of my work groups on some jobs...not exactly an over-the-top team effort, but got the job done.
Annnnd yeah...saw Randall too. Jeez...poor guy, no wonder he got messed up. I mean "that" thing that he DIDN'T want to happen...happens in front of like...the whole university. Sheesh, and I thought "I" had it bad.
I seriously want to pound that Johnny guy. *taps lip* Maybe I can send a probe into the monster world and track him hehehe.
Anyway...as said, busy busy making adjustments and working up guts to figure out what to do with this new knowledge about you-know-who, so...guess I'll say for now, enjoy your summer people!

Infinity...Kingdom Hearts with a twist!
General | Posted 12 years agoSo, off my MU kick, I've known it's going to be in that Disney game that's probably going to tick Spyro off when it comes out. While it pales in comparison to the good ole' holodeck, I'm still looking forward to what you can do in the game....and I got a little bit more hehehe:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oofIMR07mDo
As I said around the time he first got on-ship, the only game you really had to play as Randall was that Arena one. But in THIS one, you actually got some more breathing room. Heck, can actually turn invisible (think they would have put that in the OTHER one?) and scare for the first time.
Dunno about the bike thing...would think anybody with a tail would get hesitant about it getting caught in a wheel. But guess it's custom made.
It's neat seeing him side-by-side of those other two monsters...guess it's an alternate reality sorta game...as I know the actual Randall would probably strangle the two now.
Now though...*rubs claws*...I'm waitin' for when they start showing what they showed in Pirates and Incredibles....COMBAT! I can't wait to see some kick-tail combat!

Party Hard!...or Maybe Not
General | Posted 12 years agoThey got that final trailer for Monsters University out recently and...yep, still looks awesome!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=liLpmVDLvng#
Also, seems that hype involving Randall got around, as they finally showed him a bit more. Saw with those jocks in that Roar fraternity, he didn't look very happy there...guess he was starting to wise up that these guys need a good dunking in a steam vat.
And oh man...first shot of him with those glasses. MAN he WAS a geek ha! But jeez...the guy looks all happy then goes all "Oh CRAP!" invisible when somebody drops the flamingo (yes, it was flamingo!). Something tells me he's very gittery...guess the normal school years weren't easy.
Anywhay, yeah, I'm on a kick from this, what can I say. For one, gets my mind off remembering the whole incident with those plants. For seconds, heck, I know the guy so it's neat to see that whole past thing.
Was going to celebrate with him but...he's not in the mood for recollections. I may not have known him too long, but I recognize the "do not push this button" sign.
Still, the guy's getting a big reception, so let's hope when everybody sees this, whomever has'em will put down their pitchforks and torches and give the guy some well needed sympathy.

Yay 2000!
General | Posted 12 years agoOk, I'm just shy of reaching another view count mark of an additional thou'. And yeah, working on a commemoration for it like the 1000 one, but with things sneaking up on me, I couldn't be too original. BUT, figured I'd do SOMETHING, so had to go with something I was pitching on working on. Won't spoil, but Randall's in it hehehe.
OK now PAST 2000, but think I got it on the mark! Yay!

A Boggs Birthday
General | Posted 13 years agoO-a-K! In a singular week something comes out on Earth that I've been looking forward to since I first heard of it. Won't go into details about that yet till later...but I learned a funny thing that goes with it after looking on vids on the 'Tube today.
Now I never asked about "birthdays" because it's...well lets just say I didn't think I would find out outside asking one of'em. Spyro...I don't think he knows his...but RANDALL on the other hand...
Cards out (pun actually intended heh) I learned that HIS birthday is apparently on the 26th this month! At least that's what his "Scarer Card" says...haven't gathered up the incentive to actually ask the guy...BUT maybe it's right!
So, week from now'll also be Randall's birthday. I'll have to plan something...if he doesn't kill me for saying it...SO...Show the guy some love! (platonic for you dudes 0_-)

Saving Daylight?
General | Posted 13 years agoOk now I don't get these humans' concept of time.
I set my alarm like I do...when I remember to...normally, but sometime around this point in the cycle, I lose or gain an hour.
Now at first when this happened, I thought we had ourselves a DIFFERENT alien encounter. Thankfully I had all my body parts and my Mag wasn't tampered with, so good with that.
NOW, I know this whole Daylight Savings Time thing...but it still bugs the crap out of me. We honestly don't have this thing back home. Now, we don't have the sun like the planet does since we're...well...yeah. But we do have the timing match up.
I mean I'm sure (or I GUESS), humans have their reasons for this thing...but honestly I think it just screws up everybody's internal clock. Hopefully in THIS world's future they aren't going to be putting in ACTUAL internal clocks and setting THOSE forward (or back) so your body works fine.
Oui. All I know is it messed with my night and my day and now I just want to catching up on my Zs. That and I'm removing that DST from my alarm.

Dead Men Are Walking
General | Posted 13 years agoThe Walking Dead returns!
YES, I have been following this awesome show nearly since inception and aim to watch the new episode premiering tonight!
Zombies! Drama! Kids who can make headshots so easy! It's all there!
HUMAN OBSESSION WITH UNDEAD IS...A DISTURBING FACTOR OF THEIR RACE...
Yeah...is. But who cares! It's a good show and I am tuning in!

General | Posted 13 years agoTis the season! Well at least to half the hemisphere of this planet heh.
The time when snow falls down to clog the highways, and when people are joyously entertained....by first-timer ice-skaters. Time for hot chocolate and eggnog; Depending on if you have a sweet-craving or want to get tipsy (who spiked the eggnog??).
The time for all that get/giving wholesomeness. Where people dress up a pine tree, or whatever tree they can get their hands on, and place wrapped gifts under it (From a "certain" experience, I don't know if these pine trees have offensive capabilities to protect said-gifts, but it's the only way I can make sense of why you'd leave them out in the open like that for kids to get an early start on things).
Though I don't think ALMA is the holiday-loving-type considering my attempts to filch a few things from her have me either ending up in the medical bay or getting shanghaied into sweeping up those loose pine needles from that pine tree she was studying...
All I know is I'm going to chide ALMA into fulfilling that "giving" portion of the holiday for research purposes. Not that "I" have to worry about the giving part...what the heck do you get a huge positronic brain as a gift??

Technical Difficulties
General | Posted 13 years agoPhew...what a...two-weeker....
ALMA insisted I watch this "Hurricane Sandy" during it's attack on the "East Coast" down on Earth. THEN she wanted me to pay attention to certain political matters...which was like having someone poke your brain with a stick...
Apparently my transmissions wouldn't have gotten through anyway so....was unable to make it on Halloween, which sucks. BUT, I guess I needed the extra time to work on them, so I guess it works out. AND this November is still in the starting phases...and maybe a LOT of people didn't have a "Happy Halloween" with all the above going on/having happened.
SO! I look at it this way...if the transmission is entertaining (as much as it pains to remember), at least somebody who DIDN'T have a good Halloween can look it over and have a good time or whatever. OR maybe you didn't get your fill on the day in question. Personally, I want the holiday to spill over into the next month ha!
So I'll probably be putting on the next transmission really soon. Cheers.

Hallow-een
General | Posted 13 years agoI've spotted this many times before down on the planet. People dressing up in costumes, decorating their houses, and all the short ones, for the most part, going to other homes, knocking, and excepting a "treat" in exchange for...looking good in a costume.
When I first looked at this, I had no idea what was going on at first. It was a late night, I trudged through the ship, took a look at the latest transmit images, and then was shocked to see a lot of these humans have turned into a whole bunch of different things, from changing into a variety of monsters, or drastically changing professions (when did that lawyer guy get a job as a pirate??), or seeing a bunch (and I do mean BUNCH) of the guys and gals I've seen in films wandering around, and me wondering why "Based on a True Story" wasn't tagged on to a lot of these works of "fiction".
I couldn't help but keep watching at all this cool stuff that was plotted all over the place. I mean seriously, this Hallow-een is a cool holiday.
Then when I discovered these were mostly kids, I saw them go up to other people's houses. I was expecting the authorities or a bat-wielding resident to show up and deliver some justice to invasion of privacy, especially when these kids held up bags, for who knows what.
But then I saw it. Candy. These kids walk up in these costumes, say the code words "Trick of Treat" (wonder if anybody's selected the former of those choices) and people dump candy in the bags they present. Then the kids go to the next one, then the next one, and before you know it these guys are hocked up on sugar (nobody note my "introduction" to Pepsi Next, NOBODY), unless their parents are those "responsible" ones.
Weird costumes aside, I've dug the Halloween seen. I love looking at all this creepy weird stuff, and to see horror stuff on my screen. I think I get it though.
Halloween is a day when you don't have to worry about being yourself. You can dress up as who you'd like to be, and you'd want to be, and get "in-character" for a day that disregards public snickering on the other days when your black eye shadow or false mustache are frowned upon. A day to be anything but yourself, which may be stressful for most people these days as I expect. So it's a nice breather to have a day to be who you want, party down, get a scare, get candy, and to just plain have fun!
A transmission is being worked on that involves a sorta scare I'd gotten in the past in commemoration of this cool holiday. And who knows, maybe some other things if I find the time too.
Now I'm off to play horror vid-games. And thanks to Hallow-een I have an excuse for ALMA in case I need a....uhh....nevermind.

Salutation Transmission
General | Posted 13 years ago>>>BEGINNING TRANSMISSION<<<
This thing on? No? Ok, how should I start...WAIT. It IS on! Crap! Uhh...hello lifeforms of Earth! This is Azul the...the awesome! Yes! Azul the Awesome! And Mighty! Yes that too! You've received a previous transmission from me from aboard my starship. Ok, technically it's not mine but...well it is now! I guess that's because I'm the only...anyway...
If starship ain't a clue, I'm from a different planet. Yeah, we've master space travel, hover technology, all that jazz. We're quite advanced. This ship of mine brought me through some...I dunno wormhole I guess, and plopped me right in Earth's backyard. I've come to...well hang out really. Ok ok, I'm SUPPOSE to observe this planet and see how whatever lifeforms are on it thrive. I've been doing this for awhile now and...am I impressed? I don't know, I've mostly been watching television broadcasts...aside from the news. The news is boring. That's ALMA's job. And no, I'm not going to invade or do that...weird probing thing everybody seems to talk about with aliens. What is up with that?
It took awhile, but ALMA finally agreed to let me send a broadcast. Ok, maybe she didn't, and she's going to find out in a moment and zap me with pinpoints. I will be sending future transmissions and entries from the ship's log. Why? Guess I don't want the planet freaking out if somebody bumps into the ship's starboard engine. Maybe I need contact outside the GEARS who have nothing interesting to say. Or maybe I need to make a back-up archive in case one of ALMA's experiments REALLY DOES KILL ME.
........
OH!...Hey ALMA...how's it...going? Heh heh.
