Finishing up things at home and trying to manage my time better.
Tonight's going to be a late night tho, and lots of style experimenting.
p.s. I know I've been very terrible throughout last year, especially letting personal issues get in the way.

I'm getting commissions done. In a very unorganized matter (sorry i'm trying to correct myself), but they're getting completed.
Really am sorry that I really made this year terrible for my clients and myself. D: I've been getting help, and getting back on track!
This weekend I may be super hella busy because I'm doing volunteer work for the military and the city, aw yiss. I'm anxious as heck, but also eager to finally break out of this shell. I'll be getting paid for working for the city and HELLA BUFF~~ for the military!
(reminds me i need to go to the track, argh)

Posted 10 years agoTrying my best to dig out of this rut to finish up overdue work. At least I've finished one big piece that helped boost motivation like 50%.
There's been a lot of irl drama happening. Not going to explain it right now. I'm doing better though! I'm just glad to finally have some sort of functioning device to work on digital art again.

Posted 10 years agoI'm thinking about returning to FA after the sudden, half-year hiatus. :/
I've logged onto here after some time to see multiple notes asking about commissions.
Am I open? Nope, not yet. Soon, maybe. I've been feeling really guilty/nervous for some reason about commissions??? Not to mention I don't actually have a working machine for digital art at the moment.
Pretty much what's going down is that I'm still working hard on my weight loss journey, and I look better than before. A few days ago I've been hit with mild food poisoning, so that knocked me out for a bit (i feel like today is the final day, i'm feeling loads better).
Tbh, I think I am having like a case of separation anxiety because I haven't been too productive like I wanted. The boyfriend had left for deployment in March so I've been kinda sad since, but am still trying my best to be independent~ Doing a pretty good job so far.
Can't wait for him to return late august/early september!!!! I've been picking up the pace because of how excited and eager I am for him to return, aaaaa.

However, I will continue to make designs for merchandise and local businesses to have a little extra income while also focusing with not getting kicked out of college.
But hey, at least I'm not as pathetic and ~☆°•~super depressed ~•°☆~ like last year thanks to counseling. I guess that's a plus.

Didn't get the house + overcoming art intimidation
Posted 11 years agoEven after putting a deposit on the house, the seller decided they wanted to take it off the market. We did get the money back but I'm pretty pissed that we were so close and have to start looking again.
Anyway, now that I have my tablet working again, I really want to work on art that I owe. Earlier today, however, I had a mild breakdown while trying to warm-up. BUT here's some good news!
We're (hopefully) getting a house!
It's a ridiculously nice, two-story house. 3-bed, 3-bath (I think) with a small pool in the back yard. It's so cozy, too. I was about to break down in tears how at home I felt when we checked it out. I can't wait to move in that house, if we do of course.
I've been imagining how to set up and decorate my room and where to put my reptiles. Also imagining how amazing it would be to finally have my own space to just work in. I could finally have a nice desk, too, instead of using a small sandwich table. This thing is so uncomfortable and inconvenient, but gosh just how happy I am to finally get out of here.
The location is nice despite having to be literally right next to the damnprison highschool I attended. The neighbourhood is also lovely as it's a gated community! It feels really safe to be in there!
I just can't wait, oh my gosh. Hopefully we'll be moving around my boyfriend and I's birthdays in November!

I still need to update my queue for others to know what's on my to-do list.
For those of you still waiting you are eligible for a refund. I've never touched the unfinished commission money, even though money's tight right now. I completely understand if you want it back.
This weekend, however, I've been a little productive with getting back to drawing again. I've made myself a new icon as well as a couple of quick doodles...and it was actually enjoyable.
The past month and a half I couldn't enjoy art in any way. I couldn't even enjoy looking at art or animation as much as I used to, but it's coming back...slowly.
Basically what has been happening is living situations, losing a friend to suicide (while leaving a child behind), and being sexually harassed...Trying to escape by mindlessly scrolling through Tumblr but kept seeing more unfortunate posts about what's happening in the real world.
Right now I just want to break down and cry...I want to cry everything out so hard and shut myself away from the world for a while. I also feel like I've betrayed my clients for not keeping in touch and making false promises, overestimating myself...
I even made a safe-zone Tumblr blog and a public "personal" account on facebook to escape my depressed self and put on a "happy face" behind the screen.
I know this will all blow over through time...can't wait until it does.

I haven't really been drawing much since it's really intimidating for me recently, even simple doodling.
But I'm keeping my chin up~
Everything's very unorganized at the moment but I'm finally starting to make a better schedule with things!
Right now I'm looking at some artwork for inspiration and will be brewing a cup of chamomile tea to help rest before having to take my boyfriend to work in a few hours then proceed to do my own job.
...yes I'm not going to sleep all night, so basically I'm going to be awake for a solid 40 or so hours until I can finally settle down to sleep tomorrow night~
Also I may be in Longview, TX on Sunday or Monday to hand out flyers and sell tickets for a party. If anybody is in the area let me know!

But also...I cut my clutch of ball python eggs and I had great odds! My assumptions are 2 lesserbees, 1 pinstripe or lemonblast, 1 pastel, and 1 lesser.
I didn't hit a kingpin but hey I'm not even mad. I'm just glad babies are all alive and looking well. Can't wait until they hatch next week.

The answer is no I am currently not open and yes I do plan on re-opening slots in the near future, perhaps sometime in May or June after final exams. It will most likely be VERY limited. I do not want to overload myself again and make people wait. D:
