Commission Openings, Queue List, and Moving!

It is official, we are opening for new commissions November 2016!
However... we have a few things that will be occurring for our new commission opening.
First, we will only open for a few commissions at a time from now on.
While the number is not for certain, we are floating around between 4 slots and 6 slots.
Second, those slots that are open will have different payment 'rules'.
Example: Pretend we are opening for 6 slots. 2 of those slots will be open for 'monthly payment option'.
Meaning only 2 people on our list can choose the monthly payments of whatever per month.
(Currently, that amount is $150 per month, but it may raise to $200, or $250.
We are still in the midst of reviewing our TOS and Price changes, so no number is known at this time.)
So that means 4 of those slots would be either
1. pay-in-full-up-front
2. pay down payment ($450) and pay the rest of the amount within 2 months
3. pay half up front, and half when the full costume pictures are posted on FA before we ship
Third, we plan to open up every 2 months after.
Once in a while, perhaps once or twice a year, we will wait an extra month before opening.
This will allow us to catch up/finish any 'monthly payment projects that have been paid off,
or work on convention product, or other such work/catch-up.
Every time we open up, the slot #'s may fluctuate, and the number of 'monthly payment option' slots will always be minimal.
Fourth, we will be open for ALL KINDS of commissions.
Full fursuits, Custom and Pre-made Tails, Anime Cosplay, Custom Plush, Props, and more!
Which brings us to why we are announcing our opening now.
This will allow many of you to save up the funds, and prepare for our commission opening.
Since we have previously always been open for commissions without closing in the past, this is a new concept we are integrating.
We will likely open up for quotes again sometime in the Fall (August thru October time-frame expectancy).
Expect a minimum of our old prices ($2150 for a digitigrade fullsuit, $1950 for a fullsuit, $1450 for a partial) as a guideline until we do reopen our quote system.

We currently still have a lengthy queue list. For those who are on it, have no fear, we will complete your commissions first.
At our current rate, we expect to be 90% to 100% complete with the queue list by November this year.
We are focusing all of our efforts into making your commission as we maintain our high quality standards.
We have been able to accomplish 2-4 fursuits per month, and hope to stay at this level of commission completion for the remainder of this year.

Moving
Once again, Sparkle Kreations is moving!
This time, we plan to stay for at least 5 or more years, as we have been starting our house hunting.
Our business and our customers take top priority, and we wish to expand our business into a good portion of our future home.
We hope to move sometime between June and August, however we have no idea where our house hunting/buying will land us.
We have taken some time to prepare as much of our moving as possible; boxing up as much as we can without interrupting our lives/work.
When it comes down to it, we will likely lose some time due to the physical house search and moving of our lives into the house.
We will likely be more quiet then usual during this time, messages may go unread/unanswered for a short time,
as we would want to focus all of our efforts into setting up our workshop as quickly as possible to resume our work flow.
We are unsure if the physical house search itself would take too much time out of our schedule,
however we thought it would fit to give everyone a 'heads up' that our work may slightly slow during this time.

We have been rather quiet on here recently, and if you follow our twitter (@SparkleKreation) you know why!
We're super busy and working extra hours to get our commissions done for all of you wonderful fluffies!
A lot of Work-In-Progress pictures have been posted to twitter,
and our public queue list has been staying updated weekly at minimum (2-3 times weekly more recently!).
We have a lot of almost-complete fursuits and projects in our workshop that will be shipped out soon, some with a date at FWA!
Thanks for the support everyone, it is always wonderful to have such awesome followers!

This year, Updates and Improvements
Posted 10 years agoLast year, the year of 2015, was a tough year for us.
We had financial struggles, we had bad scenarios happen at the worst times, and in general, there was bad luck all around for us.
There were good times too, but 2016 is looking more promising for us.
We are taking a deep breath and starting this year off with a smile on our faces and a determination beyond anything we can describe.
You, our customers and supporters, are the most important thing to us.
We have heard a few concerns, and we have taken great strides to improve ourselves in those ways.
Many of those ways have been already addressed, but now for a major one.
We have heard the concern of the fursuits not getting out fast enough, and we really wish to maintain our quality, which does not come easily with speed.
So we have put everyone, in order, into batches according to background color.
We are hoping to complete 1 batch per month at minimum, and if we can accomplish it, 1 1/2 to 2 batches per month.
However, it does depend on quality, as we refuse to 'rush' through a suit just to make one that is not up to our standards.

We are also closing for quotes at this time. We will put the link back up again when we are closer to opening up, however,

While we may be recovering from some financial issues we had last year, we will be doing our best to look to the future with optimistic goals.

December 2015 Updates!
Posted 10 years agoWork is going well so far, however, we will not be working December 24th, 25th, and 26th for holiday celebrations.
At this time, we do plan to work through the New Years Eve & Day, and resume our normal Saturdays off.
We here at Sparkle Kreations want to wish you all a safe, warm, and happy holiday, no matter what you celebrate!
Also, we were hoping and planning to attend a few cons this coming year, in 2016.
However, we have made the decision to hold off another year to complete more customer costumes.
We will not be attending Furthur Confusion or Furry Weekend Atlanta, and the likeliness of AnthroCon is very slim.
We have only attended Califur and Rainfurrest once, and neither are going to be 'regular' cons for us.
Our next convention will be Biggest Little Fur Con, followed by Rocky Mountain Fur Con, and then MidWest Fur Fest.
We may be attending local cons and events, at least for a few hours on one day, such as:
AnimeLand Wasabi, Denver Comic Con, Denver Pride Festival, Colorado Renassiance Festival, Nan Desu Kan (whole weekend),
and local furry events, such as but not limited to:
Paws at Pearl, Thursday Aurora Fur Meet, FoxTrot, and more.
Hope to see you all sometime this year, or one of the next few years, you are all awesome furry people!

How to get a slot
It's simple! Just comment on this Journal or send Sparkle a Skype message at 'SparkleKreations'
and say "I want a fursuit slot!" or something similar.

The tail slots can be either pre-made or custom.
The fursuit slots can be either a Headpiece, a Bodysuit only,

Keep in mind that the fursuit slots will not be made right away.

The professional data recovery company was able to recover 100% of our data!
They even knocked off $100 because we allowed them flexibility on timeframe.
So our grand total quote was $500, and while the data recovery company has allowed us a few weeks to gather the funds,
we would like our data back as quickly as possible to resume normal work flow!

Both together got us a new Surface 3, with a keyboard and warranty.

My old computer is basically too old to go on. We need to replace the main system with a new business computer.
Being that we are an online business that makes its living from a computer, we will be looking into purchasing a computer in the near future.
We did some computer shopping over the weekend, and a 'Surface' 3 or 4 would hold us over for quite a few years (estimated 3-10 years, depending on the model I want).
Unfortunately, it will cost us quite a bit of money for a new laptop, so we are gathering ideas on how to raise up
the money on that without it being a 'charity' (unless enough people are wanting & willing to chip in to help our company).
In the meantime, a good friend has set us up with a temporary laptop that we can use the web-browser on for FA and other sites
(and hopefully more features in the near future such as word docs) and has allowed us to use this until we get another machine.
If you have any ideas on a way for us to raise the money we need (besides a massive tail sale) please share your ideas with us below!
Right now, our estimation on the Data recovery is about $400-$900, and we are waiting for one more reply from someone
before we post up a GoFundMe to support the data recovery procedure.

We have no idea how it happened, or why.
But the hard-drive on the business computer just failed, completely.
Right now we are borrowing a computer with limited access (only google chrome) to update and keep in touch with everyone.
We are looking into a data-recovery place that is reliable and affordable to recover our files & pictures.
At the moment... we have limited information.
We have everyone's payments (Paid & Owed) as well as our queue list.
We do not have your FA, your Skype handle, your email.
We do not have your reference pictures for your fursuit.
We do not have a detailed list of all the things you had wanted on your suit (such as LED eyes, claws, whiskers, digitigrade legs, etc).
The data recovery place could get this all back for us, but it will take time and money.
From just getting price estimates through professional sites, it could be anywhere between $100 to $1,000,
but it looks more likely around the $400 to $700 range.
It holds more then our business files, it also holds pictures of every single suit we have ever made.
It holds pictures from our beginning years in the business, pictures of Work-In-Progress' that have not been posted anywhere,
and some personal pictures of our lives together (Sparkle & Cirque) that had not been transferred yet to a personal computer.
This is just the start though- once we have our files, then we have to look at getting a new computer setup for business.
We have not looked at the cost of this yet, but plan to in the near future.
What does this mean for you?
Well, if you are a current customer, then we simply need all of the information again.
I will contact you when I need any information- as I have nowhere to store the information currently. other then my white boards.
I will compare to my payment notes to ensure that the extra options line up with the pricing.

Holidays, Commission Queue, and Conventions!

We have had a few people ask if we can open commissions to be finished for the holiday season.
So while we cannot open fursuit commissions, we can indeed open a few tail slots. Around mid or late november,
we will open for a batch of 5 tail slots at a time, and only if the 5 are finished and shipped will we open for 5 more.
These tails will be worked on to the side of our normal commissioners, so as to not interfere with their progress.
Be sure to save up your cash now to snag a slot! Our tails are usually $120 plus shipping for customs, and pre-made prices vary.
Commission Queue
We have been working steadily on our queue list, and our numbers went from around 88 in June to 60 as of this month.
We will continue working hard to bring those numbers down even more and
to complete more commissioners as quickly as possible, while still maintaining our quality standards.
While we hope to open up in January at the latest, we will not open up until our list has very little remaining.
Remember; if you are a commissioner, be sure to complete your DTD and measurements to send to us as soon as possible!
Conventions
As many of you know, we skipped out on several conventions this year to put our focus on our queue list.
We also only sold at one convention this entire year- Further Confusion back in January.
However, we plan to begin our sales again next year, and our plan is AnthroCon at minimum.
We do plan to skip a few 'excess' cons to continue our focus on our customers.
Our convention attendance will still be updated and listed on our profile information here on FA,
and we will announce via Twitter, Facebook, and elsewhere as well when we are prepping to attend a convention.
General Updates
We have moved around from year to year, and each time to a slightly bigger living space.
Next year, at last, we are going to be searching for a permanent residence... a home.
We will be doing some 'house-hunting' and then when we find one,
we will have to take about 1-2 weeks off to move all of our business and personal life into the home.
During that time, we will not be answering messages or available on skype for customers;
however we will let everyone know beforehand so no one is surprised.
For now, we thank you all for your continued support of our company, and appreciate all of the love this wonderful fandom has to offer.

Since this is an emergency commission set, it will be at a discount from our usual prices unless we need to order a fur that is not in our stock.
We have most colors of the rainbow in our workshop, so the likelihood of us not having your color is slim.
Timeframe-
We are starting immediately first thing tomorrow morning and will be making these tails over the next 3-5 days.
We WILL finish all tails within this time period UNLESS it is a complex sewing pattern, in which it may take 1-2 extra days at most.
During this time, other commissions will be worked on for a minimum of a few hours each day.
Immediately after these tails are done, work will resume in full.

$300 a month is to help Sparkle and Cirque continue their focus on the work and commissions at hand.

So why do we have this up as a goal, if our customers are paying/have paid?
Most of our money is categorized into different sections, and put to good use.
For example, we pay ourselves for working here full time. We have no other job, so we need to eat, pay rent, buy gas, and other bills.
Another example is called "Capital Expenses". We need to upkeep our machinery, keep our 'office materials' stocked (such as pencils, pattern paper, hot glue, thread, needles, and more.
So every penny we make is put to work.
But... we offer monthly payment plans to customers.
Sometimes the customers lose their jobs, and we don't want to tell them that it disqualifies them from their spot on our queue list, that isn't right. So we let them skip one or two months while they get on their feet.
Sometimes they cannot pay for a while, and it affects us, whether we say so or not.
Our monthly payment plans are also only at a minimum of $150 a month, when the average among fursuit makers is $300.
This means we are getting a very small amount in, considering.
What all of this means is; Sometimes, we just don't have enough to get by.
If we were able to tell everyone to pay tomorrow, and then get all of this funding in instantly, we would be fine.
But that isn't fair, nor is it plausible.
But we want to see if we can reach this amount in the next 2-3 months (by october 2015) and at that time we will review it, and review it again every few months to adjust the total amount needed (it will go down over time)."

We are back from the convention and ready to rock-n-roll!

RMFC - Sparkle Kreations Photoshoot!

Rocky Mountain Fur Con is right around the corner, and we are so excited for it!
We are running 5 panels this year;
Fursuit Games, Olympifur Games, Fursuit Charades, Adult Fursuit Charades, and Fursuit Purrformance
and we plan to also have a lot of fun!
Here is the plan for the photoshoot, and we also invite tail-owners to come and get in a picture too!

Updates! (Machines Repaired & AnthroCon & Commissioners)

Machines
They are now repaired, although one needs a blade sharpened (serger) and the other is missing an important piece.
The piece is a small one that doesn't stop us from sewing, but can slow down our production until it comes in,
because without it, we need to be constantly adjusting the machine to ensure high quality sewing.
The official downtime for the machines was from Friday the 19th to Saturday the 27th.
AnthroCon
The three for AnthroCon will be updated shortly on the status of your commission.
The recent issues with our machines & a few delayed orders that are still not in our workshop may have affected this deadline.
Sparkle will be likely contacting you via skype.
Commissioners
As usual, thank you for your patience and support of our company!
We have to mention, however, that there are several people who have not made a payment yet this month.
Please keep up on your payments, as this helps us ensure we can order materials,
pay us 2 main people who work hard every day (Sparkle & Cirque), and help keep the company running smoothly.
If we are missing a payment or a few, it could lead anywhere from us not getting paid (and we need to buy food and pay bills to live),
to the company ordering last-minute materials (which puts things on hold for a bit) and can stress us out quite a bit in general.
If you owe us a payment, you know who you are, please send it in as soon as you can.
Remember, if you have troubles making a payment, it is better to let us know as soon as you can,
so we can make adjustments for that missing amount.
If you have been on time monthly with your payments, we thank you for your timely consistency!
