The Master Post of published books, free stories, etc.
General | Posted 7 years agoBooks of mine you can buy:
The Vampire's Return Gay Vampire Porn, is probably all you need to know. :D
Well Met by Moonlight A vampire/werewolf MMM threesome. What's not to love?
Stallion Assassin It's gay. There are were-horses. Even if you don't buy it, click the link and check out the *awesome*, ridiculous, cover art.
Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme More gay! More great cover art! Fantasy adventure and cute romance! There's sex! What more do you want?
Blood Choice It's...not gay? It's a post-apocalyptic adventure about vampires having destroyed the world, and one person who fights back. Light gay overtones, straight romance, kicking vampire ass and vampires kicking ass. Check it out.
The Garden Maze A collection of fantasy short stories including more vampires, unicorns, dragons, and a little bit of bizarre surrealism. Something for everyone. Also not gay.
Other Places to Read Me
Patreon: Early access, exclusives, stuff I don't post to any of the free sites. Starts at $1 a month, with *tons* of prior content, but the best stuff is mostly at the $5 a month level these days. The most frequent new content of any option, including buying books, and starting cheaper than just buying one book.
Archive Of Our Own: Fanfiction, mostly Legend of Zelda. Some of my personal favorite smut scenes lurk here.
Fimfiction: My Little Pony fanfiction. Tons of stories, spanning genres and styles, serious, fluffy, and yes also pornographic. They just happen to feature cartoon horses.
Fetlife. I post erotica snippets there from time to time. I'm not posting a public link, but if you use the site you can PM me and I'll be happy to point you at my profile.
I'll try to keep this updated as new things get published and new platforms turn up. You can also follow my blogs about writing on tumblr.
Sparkwrite: My general writing-centered blog. Smut happens here, but only when it comes with a plot.
A. Rhiannon: The blog for my smut-only pen name. Totally shameless.
And, of course, you can also check out my gallery here for tons and past work. It's probably the largest single collection of my writing, but I'm no longer posting a lot of full stories, since I'm trying to publish things, and many publishers want first rights, which means stories that haven't been shared anywhere else, including here.

You get a story and you get a story and YOU get a story!
General | Posted 7 years agoI have uploaded something to everywhere today, wheee!
I started by wrestling with Smashwords for a while. I love what they do, but I do not like the way they do it one bit. Their upload system is absolutely shit-tastic. IT'S NOT 2003 ANYMORE, STOP REQUIRING .DOC FORMAT AND USE RTF LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE CIVILIZED WORLD HOLY SHIT. *Ahem* (Furaffinity, I'm eyeing you for your weird-ass uploading rules too, but at least I'm used to them by now.)
So yeah. I also uploaded something to Amazon! That went without a hitch, shockingly, it just needs to get approved, which should be tomorrow or the next day, and then there will be a post here about how you can buy my vampire/werewolf smut on Smashwords or Amazon, woo!
Then I uploaded a story chapter for my Patreon patrons,
a story chapter here on Furaffinity,
an erotica piece/sneak-peek for people who follow me on Fetlife, (no link to that one, but you can PM me and ask if you want)
a story to Archive Of Our Own,
a story on FimFiction,
and made a bunch of blog posts places.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. *Falls over dead.*
So yeah. Uploading words today. That has been my day. Trying desperately to sell words will be my day tomorrow or the next day.
So many words.

Happy New Year!
General | Posted 7 years agoI know, it's quite late. My personal life delivered some heavy shit that I had to deal with right around the actual New Year, so I did not have the energy to think much about resolutions or plans for the coming year. But I am now slightly less exhausted and have had time to think about what I'd like to do.
Goal One: To have some kind of content every week for my patrons! Supporting me as a patron starts at just $1 though I feel like you'll get the most bang for your buck at the $5 a month level. I've been doing pretty good at regular patreon content all this time, but I'd like to be more consistent.
Goal Two: Get publishing on Amazon. I spent most of yesterday wrestling file formats into shape, and I think I'm just about ready to put my first Amazon smut short up under my A. Rhiannon pen name. If all goes to plan I'd like to have a new short story up there every other week, though getting art and editing means some of that is out of my control. My peeps are pretty reliable, though, so hopefully it won't be a problem.
Not a goal, a thing that is definitely happening: Three physical books! There will be three softcover volumes out from Jaffa Books sometime in the next year. I may also get a romance novel out in physical form, and my Ember's erotica collection should also be out at some point. Actual physical books by me on my bookshelf, how exciting!
Also not a goal: I have a large stack of finished work that I'm just sorting out how best to publish. Most of that I think I mentioned in my last blog post, but I've finished a few more things since then. Depression has kicked my ass this last year, but somehow I manage to write anyway.
So lots of great things are coming this year!
P.S. If you want to follow my writing news, I do have a writing tumblr that I'm trying to keep updated on writing news.

What's coming in 2019: Pony, physical books, and patreon!
General | Posted 7 years agoEmber's the dead tree edition is still in the works. I'd hoped to have it out for the new year, but alas life happens. Progress is being made, though.
Other physical books to turn up this year: Blood Choice and The Garden Maze collection should both be out by the end of the year, as well as The Sanguine Canvas and Other Tales, a fun collection of furry vampire stories.
Non-physical books, The Sacrifice, The Longest Night, and Servant will hopefully all come out as e-books this year. Still working on finishing up the third segment of Servant, but it's close to done.
Also, I am in the process of getting some short stories up on Amazon! Gotta edit, get cover art, and format. Ugh, formatting. This is why I prefer to have a publisher. Somebody else to do this stuff. But it'll happen, hopefully by the end of the month.
And lastly my Patreon is getting more content. I'll be posting the entirety of the new Blood and Fire, (now 100% more gay!) there for everyone from $1 up in addition to some more pony stories and possibly another big Zelda thing if I ever get it done. Blood and Fire is not finished yet, but the first major plot arc is done, and the rest is coming along. My patreon also has lovely banner art featuring the main characters. And I'm also doing a new thing where for the $5 and up patrons, I just post every sex scene as soon as I finish writing it. So if you want to get a sneak peek at *all* the steamy bits, you can do so.
Check it out here: https://www.patreon.com/bladespark
I'm always open to suggestions for perks you'd like to see, as well.
I'm trying to figure out a workable way to let patrons make requests that won't end up overworking me with projects I don't like. But formal process aside, I'm always really open to suggestions from the people who support me monetarily. :3 So if you have a request, feel free to drop a buck over on Patreon and then let me know, and I'll see if I can work it in. (The best kind of request is "A story with rope bondage in it" or "a story that focuses on F/F oral". Short, simple, specific. Full-on plot summaries detailing every event interest me much less for requests, though on the other hand I find them absolutely ideal if you want to commission me, which you can do at the $20 a month level.)

What's in the pipeline right now:
General | Posted 7 years agoStallion Assassin (gay were-horse romance, yes!) will be out on December 15th as an e-book.
The Sanguine Canvas and Other Stories - a furry vampire collection that I just love. I mean this is me. Furries + vampires = my favorite. Also some of them are gay. :D Accepted by Jaffa Books, and will be out as a dead tree edition as well as an e-book sometime next year. Some of the stories in it are readable here already, but several are new! And several are only partially posted here.
An Incident at Demansk Station - Cyborg wolf punches space Nazis. Submitted to an anthology of anti-Nazi stories, dunno if it'll be accepted.
'Ware the Deep - Were creature horror. Submitted to a furry horror anthology, waiting to hear back on that also.
Ember's - my MLP clopfic that's more about healthy sexual relationships and such, not really about porn, but is still quite steamy. This is going to be self-published as a dead-tree edition sometime next year, hopefully sometime in January, but it depends a bit on various factors not entirely in my control.
I have finished the rough drafts of a bunch more things, though they still need to be edited up, submitted, accepted, edited again, given cover art, etc.
The Longest Night - gay historical vampire adventure/romance.
The Sacrifice - historical fantasy gay romance. (First chapter of that is up in my gallery if you want to read it.)
Servant and Servant:Triune - "filing off the serial numbers" Zelda fanfics turned into original fics. You can read the fanfic versions of both of those here, they're Servant, and Courage, Power and Wisdom. But I have to say I really love the worldbuilding I did to make them original.
I have in progress a bunch more things that hopefully will be done soon.
New Blood and Fire - loosely inspired by my original Blood and Fire series, but better and also gayer.
Dragon's Blood - loosely inspired by my Blood and Darkness stories, but again, better and *slightly* gayer, though the original was a little gay. This is actually bisexual, not strictly gay. (You can read a sample of that in my gallery.)
And I've got some miscellaneous very short stories that are light on plot and heavy on... well, mostly heavy on sex, tbh. I've decided to use them as Patreon exclusives instead, I think. I was going to self-publish them on Amazon, but honestly I've been having repeated problems getting cover art and getting everything set up to publish the first one, and I'm not sure it's going to be worth the cost of the cover art.
Lots of things happening! Just it's all happening kinda slowly. Most of this stuff will be out next year, not this year. Still, I am excited!

Gay romance novel covers are the best.
General | Posted 7 years agoHere's my latest:

Just look at that thing. Ha hahaha. It's amazing!
Here's the blurb for the story:
The bastard Valde Fitzroy has but one purpose in life: to serve his unacknowledged father by slaying his enemies. He has performed this duty for many years, amid the endless intrigues of the were-horse clans. Yet when his father, Lord Royan dies, Valde is left without purpose. He finds himself following his last target, Raneld Orley, the youngest son of the new king. He doesn’t understand why, but as his fate begins to unfold, the curse that drives him becomes clear.
Fate may twist in strange ways, though. So what happens when a cursed assassin comes to lust after–and love–his target?

I am lousy at publicity and all that stuff.
General | Posted 7 years agoIt's part of why I'm going after more conventional publishing and not just self-pub. I suck at this stuff. It's great to let somebody else be in charge of advertising.
Anyway, I mentioned on my tumblr, but forgot to here, I got a second story, this time a novella, accepted by JMS Books! It's called Stallion Assassin, and I considered posting a teaser here, but I think I'll hang onto that until it's closer to publication. That should be in December of this year. It's a gay romance about were-horses. :D
I have a bunch of fanfic I still need to post, including some misc. My Little Pony shorts and a really fun Legend of Zelda threesome/poly story. I do try to upload something regularly, but life gets away from me sometimes.

Hot kinky something or other.
General | Posted 7 years agoThey say that when you write porn you should write what you like.
So I did!
Ouroboros: Three-Fold Love is one of the hottest things to me. I've re-read the final scene probably a dozen times already, and they weren't all for editing.
If you like threesomes, caring dominance, and genderqueer/transmasculine characters (I'd say "cuntboys" but it's such a crude, porno term. Wish there was a better one than either that or "men who happen to have vaginas" or something else equally cumbersome like that.) Anyhow, if you like those things, you will probably like it. Check it out.

Editing, editing, editing.
General | Posted 7 years agoWhen you write and post in the same 12 hours or so, it leads to constantly wanting to go back and edit little things. :P Feh. I do like the Thursday prompts as a concept, but I don't know how often I'll do one.
Speaking of editing, though, I just got done accepting changes from one of my very lovely editors, who's been helping me get some stuff ready for self-publishing on Smashwords. I won't get a pro editor's eyes on things there, like I will when I get published with most publishers, so I am glad to have some literate friends who lend a hand now and then with that sort of thing.
I have some more editing to do for a customer as well, but gods this week has just been utterly useless for getting paid work done. Bleh. Life, depression, my muse being a nutter and insisting that the only thing I'm allowed to have enthusiasm about right now is Legend of Zelda threesome fics. What's with that, even? I like threesomes, but I've never written all that many, and suddenly I'm working on what seems like a million of them, though I guess it's just three being worked on actively.
I probably ramble in these things too much, but where else am I going to babble on about all this nonsense?
In related, rambling news, I've been sharing blurbs of upcoming stories over on my tumblr, https://sparkwrite.tumblr.com/ I know I'm the only one who's wildly excited about any of these, but I hope a few people are at least mildly interested!

Trying to do the Thursday prompt today.
General | Posted 7 years agoWe'll see how that goes. But the prompt gave me an idea. I always look at them. I just either usually don't have an idea, or don't have the time. I don't really have the time today either, but eh. This week has been basically a total loss as far as real productivity goes. So I might as well waste some time today too.
Where to find me on the net
General | Posted 7 years agohttp://sparkcostumes.com/list.html
I made a list!
And now you can see it in multiple places at once, because this is THE list of spots on the internet where I have content of some kind.
Plus my Furry Writer’s Guild profile, which has no content, but I’m kinda chuffed about it at the moment? I still don’t *quite* qualify for the SFWA guild and I’m not sure I’d be interested in paying the dues even if I did (they’re a great organization overall, but still…) but the FWG is pretty nifty.
But yeah. Writing stuff, sewing stuff, even the erotica-only tumblr I haven’t really properly unveiled yet, since the book I made it to promote won’t be out for at least a few more weeks.
If you want to see what I’m up to, here are all the places you can.
P.S. You will never find me on Facebook. Never.

Launching a tumblr for my writing.

It'll be focused on original content, though I will probably mention the fanfic there now and again as well. Follow it for news about my writing, and for discussion on writing in general.
Questions welcome!

YES!!!!
General | Posted 7 years agoJMS books, one of my first-choice publishers for gay romance stuff, just accepted the first story I sent in!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
So excite!
It'll just be an e-book, but still! So thrilled!

Formatting, formatting, formatting.
General | Posted 7 years agoThe other day was waiting (well, I am still waiting!) but today is formatting.
Every publisher has their own desired formatting standards. It's really flipping annoying, because of course I got into writing habits built around how FA displays things, how I was taught to type in middle school in fricking 1991, and the way I post stories to Fimfiction.
None of those are especially useful in light of what certain publishers want. >.< Though at least Jaffa Books doesn't require smart quotes. I hate smart quotes with a burning passion. Ugh. They're the worst. They break all kinds of things, and their only actual useful function is to look pretty. The last publisher I sent something off to wanted them, and it was an absolute nightmare.
Even putting formatting of the story aside, there's also cover letters, W-9s, and tons of other folderol one has to mess with. All this shit is why I swore I'd never submit things for publication. Maybe past me had the right idea there. Not that self-pub is any better, really. Posting here to FA is still pretty damn easy, but of course that's hardly a career, all things considered.
I am cranky as fuck lately. If all this work turns out to be for nothing, I'm going to be even moreso.

General | Posted 7 years agoI'm waiting to hear back from a publisher. (They were at least kind enough to reply and tell me they'd gotten my manuscript and will get back to me. I hate it when publishers don't do that. I have to stomp on the urge to mail it again, just to make sure they got it.)
I'm waiting for cover art so I can proceed with a self-publishing project.
I'm waiting on different cover art for a pony erotica piece. (which I may also eventually convert into a non-pony story, since I think it would work just fine outside of the MLP universe.)
I'm waiting for Jaffa Books to open their submissions.
Waiting, waiting, waiting.
Meanwhile I'm still writing, of course. Things I'm working on right now:
Editing a furry vampire stories collection. It contains some material I've posted here already, and also some new material. (And, for old-time fans, has complete versions of City of Sunlight and A Taste For Man. :D Just took the prospect of actual publication to get me off my butt and finally finish both of those.)
Also editing a little gay romance piece to send in to a particular publication call, and writing a sci-fi gay romance/erotica thing for a different publication call.
Writing three commissions, all My Little Pony fanfiction.
Writing three or four more gay romance/erotica pieces just kinda for fun. I keep having ideas for them. Including several for the above-mentioned self-pub project, which is vampire-themed, because it's me, and which I hope people will enjoy.
Working on my novel in progress, Dragon's Blood. (Chapter two is up on Patreon, for my patrons. Chapter three will probably go up soon.)
Mostly failing to work on at least a dozen other stories in various stages of completion.
Busy, busy, busy! And that's just the writing, there's also the sewing, and the household shit, and so on...
What are you guys working on right now?

Second time's the charm?
General | Posted 7 years agoMy previous attempt at sending something to a publisher seems to have fizzled. I got a letter of acceptance, but it came with a contract that had some frankly super-aggressive language about having complete and utter first publication rights, (among other things) and that the story couldn't have been published in any form on any platform ever, and if it had I'd owe them All The Money. It was... uh... not something I quite expected to encounter to be honest. Wanting first rights, yes, being that aggressive about it, no.
So I wrote back to openly explain that this story was heavily modified from a story I'd once posted on a niche site called "furaffinity", and to please either modify their contract to reflect this, or to let me know if that was unacceptable. No reply, and it's been almost a month now. I assume that means "no", so I'll be finding somebody else to take that particular story at some point. (Or hell, maybe I'll finally give this Amazon self publishing thing a try. This one's just a smut short, so it's no biggie, and I hear that kind of thing does well there.)
Meanwhile, I finished the story I put up the little rough draft excerpt of a couple of weeks back, and I'm super thrilled with it. I got a very excellent editor to take a look, and my local writer's group loved it. And hey, it's 100% new material, though this publisher will hopefully not have such an aggressive contract. (Seriously, it freaked me out a little, how much that damn thing talked about how I'd owe them for this, that, or the other. I don't think that's normal.)
Anyhow, I just now hit "send" to ship the new one off to the publisher whose publication call I wrote it for, (Blood Bound Books' "Burt Fur" furry horror collection. Sounds like fun, no?) so now I get to wait and see if they accept it. Which I expect will take quite a long time, given that the submission deadline is still over a month away, and then they have to read them all and choose which ones they want.
Wish me luck. :3
I've got several more things lined up for similar small press collections, and I know I'm a decent writer. (Better than some people I've seen in print!) so I'm sure I'm bound to get in somewhere with something eventually.
P.S. Yet more what the heck about that "you will have to pay us all the money if everything doesn't go the way we like" contract. What. The. Heck.

Shouting into the void.
General | Posted 7 years agoIt's hard to be a writer, sometimes.
You know my main account, with the fursuits and the plushes and sometimes drawings, has about a thousand submissions, and about two thousand watchers. More or less every time I submit something, I get two new watchers. (I mean, it's less regular than that, but you get the idea.)
I have over 300 submissions here and not quite 150 watchers. So roughly every other time I submit something, I get a new watcher. I suspect I probably do relatively well for a writer, too. I feel like my writing is relatively good. I think that it's above the average I see around here, as far as quality goes.
But it can be frustrating, shouting at the void.
It's honestly a big part of the motivation behind my finally seeking conventional publication. I never had submitted anything before. I said I wrote for fun, and if an opportunity came along I'd take it (which I did) but I wasn't going to beat myself against the brick wall of rejections.
I don't know, though... I think that brick wall may sometimes be kinder than the echoing silence of putting stories out and getting nothing at all back. (People don't tend to leave comments, either. My most commented on thing ever here has 27, but getting more than one or two is very much the exception and many get none at all.) A rejection is at least a response. Silence... You sometimes wonder if anybody is actually reading at all, or if they're just checking the description and bailing without reading a word of the story itself. And if nobody is reading, what's the point of uploading them here? Might as well just keep them to myself, like I used to do when I started writing.
This isn't any kind of dramatic "I'm quitting!" flounce or anything. I'll keep uploading things. Just... It's hard. It's very hard.

Rough draft excerpt.
General | Posted 7 years ago Night comes late in May. The heavens are turning towards summer, and sunset in northern states is often past nine o' clock. But night still comes cold at times, and Zachary's breath steamed as he trotted through the woods, with sunset's ruddy glow lingering in the sky above.
He was a wolf, at least for now; loping easily among the pine trees, ferns, and moss of Washington's coastal forest. This land was lush and wet, often called a temperate rain forest, for it rained or snowed here more often than anywhere else in the country. There were no native wolves living amid these trees. The state had some wolf packs, but they all lived to the east, far away from civilization. Here, though, civilization was quite near at hand.
Ahead of Zachary lights burned, filtering through the trees, and making his amber eyes flash green as they caught the lamps of a little coastal village.
He paused, just within the shelter of the trees, and wiggled out of a little bundle he'd borne on his back. Then he reared up on his hind legs, as if trying to get a better view. The motion continued far past the normal reach of a wolf, flesh shifting unnaturally, twisting and bending, and for a moment a wolf-man, humanoid in general outline, but still canine in nature, leered with lolling tongue at the town spread out before him. Then the shifting continued, and a man stood there, naked in the cold night air. He was tall, his tanned body covered in hard muscle. His hair was dark, and his eyes the same striking amber color they'd been in his lupine form.
He bent and picked up the bundle he'd borne as a wolf. It unfolded to reveal jeans, a shirt, a hoodie, all folded around shoes and socks.
Clothed, Zachary walked out of the woods and into town.

It's the start of something that's going to be a horror story. But I need to punch it up a little bit, I feel. Not sure how, exactly. The rest of the story seems pretty strong to me. Horror isn't my main genre, but I've read some, and written some before. Just trying to think of a better hook. I don't want to jump into this one in the middle, it needs the slow build. But... dunno.
If I'm quite lucky this'll be published, I'm writing it to submit to a call for furry horror. :3
It's weird, after being used to commission prices, to look at publication prices. They're shit by comparison. But on the other hand, once you're "in" the publishing world you can write something once and keep getting paid for it for a while for not doing anything more, whereas commissions only pay one time.

For the vampire fans.
General | Posted 7 years agoI know at least a few people follow me specifically for my vampire stories. They're scattered all over my gallery, though, since I like to stick vampires in every genre, from pony fanfiction to sci-fi. So I've gathered them all in one place now. The "bite porn" folder, down below the erotica section.

Dragon's Blood. Hype!
General | Posted 7 years agoThe first chapter of my original furry story is up!
It is, of course, about vampires. :D It contains some "bite porn" that I had way too much fun writing. It will not be erotica, though I did write a "deleted scene" that finishes up a bit that the proper story draws a curtain over, which I'll be putting up here shortly.
I'm pretty excited about this. I feel my writing is consistently decent but not necessarily amazing. This seems (to me, at least) to be a little better than my usual, though, and I'm working hard to keep it to that standard as I go. Currently I have 40k words of it written and I feel I'm about 1/3 of the way through the planned plot.
P.S. The first chapter is one of those first chapters that works as a self-contained story. So even if you don't plan on buying the book when it comes out, don't let that keep you from reading it. Just fyi.
Thoughts and feedback on it are welcome, of course! I always like to hear what people think about my writing.

The pony spam is over (mostly). Furry content incoming!
General | Posted 7 years agoI do still have some drabbles, short bits, deleted scenes, and a good chunk of Ember's content that I haven't put up yet. I also have some Zelda content I haven't shared yet. So you'll still be seeing a lot of fanfic over the coming months. But the next thing I want to put up is a 100% original furry story. Or at least part of an original furry story.
You see, this one is one I want to submit for publication, and I've run into some problems with publishers who insist that "first rights" means it hasn't been shared anywhere that's publicly viewable, including here. So I'm no longer going to be posting full stories of everything I write.
What I will be posting here:
All my fanfiction.
All commissioned stories unless the customer specifically arranges for me to not.
First chapters/teasers of all my original stories as I work on them.
Promotional excerpts/teasers of things as they get actually published.
But for anybody disappointed that they won't be able to read complete stories from me, there is a simple solution. Just become a patron on Patreon. $1 a month will get you full access to everything I write.
Thanks to everybody reading and following! Look forward to chapter one of Dragon's Blood, a furry vampire story, tomorrow. (Although if you are a patron, it is already up on Patreon! :D )

Uploading spree, news, tell me about you. :)
General | Posted 7 years agoIf you haven't noticed, I've been uploading quite a lot again. I figure I should get the rest of my old fanfiction up here asap, as I'd really like to start using Furaffinity to promote myself, connect with fans, talk to fellow writers, etc. and that works best when I'm putting up current works, not shit from years back. But soon, soon it'll all be caught up.
Then, ah then! Then it's time to start deciding exactly how and when to post some original furry works that may end up published. I have a major furry novel that's about 1/3 of the way written (I rebooted my Aidan universe as a furry one, basically, and it's so much better then the old stuff was, you have no idea.) I may not post the whole thing since I do want to send it off to some more conventional publishers who may or may not be thrilled to have it all up here, but I'll at least be putting up some teaser chapters. I may end up posting more for my Patreon patrons. It's honestly sometimes really hard to decide exactly what to share and how, tbh. Too many options these days.
Anyhow, once all the ponyfic is up, I have some assorted short stories and some bits and bobs of erotica to post here for sure. I'm even finishing up some of the unfinished works that have sat unfinished for years. I'm on a writing roll!
What else? Well, who knows? I'm still doing fanfiction, since that's where most of my commissions come from, so there will be more pony and also some Zelda in the pipeline. What my patrons and my commissioners want is a heavy influence these days, as is what I think I might be able to publish. I don't feel like I am likely to ever make writing my full time job, but it's nice to have it be an additional income stream.
I'm here babbling about my exciting news, I feel I should ask you guys what yours is? What creative endeavors are you all engaging in these days? Talk to me! Tell me what's up.

I did the thing! Aaa! (On submitting stories to publishers.)
General | Posted 7 years agoI am already a published author.
It's always nice to say that. It feels good.
But.
It's with a furry e-book press in Australia. Like... that's a niche of a niche of a niche there. It's not fame, is what I'm trying to say. I made a few bucks. I wasn't super good at promotion, and the company was brand-spanking new and didn't have a big following at the time, so the novella and the short story collection both listed there never did super well.
(If you're curious, see here: http://www.jaffabooks.com.au/ebook/.....ntasy-fiction/ Blood Choice and The Garden Maze are the books in question.)
That happened through a bit of serendipity, though. The owner of Jaffa Books uses FA, and happened to read and like one of my stories, so he approached me about possibly publishing something of mine. That's not the usual path to publication, needless to say.
I've never actually submitted something to a publisher.
Until yesterday!
It's still obscure niche stuff, I sent something in to a smutty e-books site. Not exactly Random House. But I've been so anxious about publishing, about rejections, about dealing with that whole world, that it felt really good to just say "fuck it, I'm doing this" and hit submit. The story is a heavily edited version of Moonlit, re-titled "Well Met by Moonlight" and made to be a stand-alone rather than one of my tangled web of Aidan stories. (Werewolf/vampire stuff is "in" right now, right?)
Now I get to wait. What feels like forever. Hopefully they'll accept it, but if not at least I finally tried.
P.S. if anybody knows of any publishers that take furry content, porn or otherwise, lemme know? I'm aware of Sofawolf, Fur Planet, Rabbit Valley, and Thurston Howl right now. Far as I know that's kinda it. I have actually e-mailed Jaffa Books again about a couple of things I've been working on that I might send to them, but I haven't heard back yet, so I'm considering trying somewhere else.

Ember's is finished for now. Next: more pony!
General | Posted 8 years agoEmber's is an ongoing project, but the "In the Beginning" story arc is all wrapped up now, so for the time being it's complete. Other chapters will come eventually as I write them and as people commission them. :3
Still lots more pony stories to come, and also I'm working on a new Zelda fic and (drumroll please) a new original furry fic! Yes! Those are both a long ways from being ready to post, but there will be something other than small pastel equines eventually.

Is anybody out there? Also, suggestions for short porn.
General | Posted 8 years agoWho's *actually* watching me? I know, I was gone for four years. I see a few new watchers (and hello to all the folks who followed me over from Fimfiction!) But are any of my old watchers still around? Just kinda curious.
Also, while I'm chatting, when all is said and done I'm going to have a ton of pony porn, as well as a few odds and ends of Zelda porn. But I won't have much furry erotica. I've got one piece up now and one more I can put up at some point, but after that... not much out there.
So I figure I might write some 1k word quickies with furry themes, and I'm totally open for suggestions. Have a favorite species, favorite fetish, or favorite scenario? Leave a comment about it (furaffinity's site rules say you shouldn't go into super-explicit details, so you can PM me if you need to get specific) and I'll pick one and write it over the next month or so while I'm uploading the pony stuff.
