I'm not even sure. :P Mostly I'm just looking forward to taking my first longer drive in my new car and staying in a hotel. I might even leave the con and go do other things part of the time. I just really want to go on vacation.

FC 2017
Posted 8 years agoNot bothering to do a whole meme this time...my roomies decided to only go for one day so they tried to sell their room but no one bought it so we're going for one night as so to not waste the nonrefundable deposit. So I will be there Saturday through Sunday sometime only. I will just have Sparky as I still have not completed Aunt Tilly (*fistshake*). May not make the parade tho if we can't check in early. Not sure. I do already have weekend reg so I don't have to ghost or anything.

Centipeetle Fursuit
Posted 9 years agoAnd right when I had everything ready to make my tarantula suit I decided to make yet another cosplay for another con, in this case Sac-Con in March. Centipeetle was beastcub's idea - there were so many Steven Universe cosplayers at SacAnime and I felt left out, lol.

FIRST before I begin, let me announce here that I am holding an Undertale meet/photoshoot on SATURDAY at 5pm! I don't know if "photoshoot" means that Dragonscales will be there to take our pics, so bring friends with cameras just in case! I will try to find out if professional photographers will be present. In any case, the meet is in the photoshoot area upstairs, outside the dance area. Look for Muffet! You can come even if you don't have a cosplay, just to hang out!

Posted 10 years agoI've done my taxes and I owe even more than last year. Since Valve issued me a cease-and-desist on my TF2 and Half Life patches I'm making significantly less on my embroidery on a monthly basis now. I've been trying to find a job but even the fast food and retail places either turn me down or don't call me back.
I need two things: one, to make as many sales in my Etsy shop as possible. Please take a look and pass the link along:

Second: I need to bulk up my catalog. I mostly sell stuff for cosplay, so I can use all the suggestions for patches you think people would buy as possible. I am currently working on the four main Attack on Titan designs to sell in small and large versions, but I don't watch anime or play video games so I need suggestions. Also some of my biggest sellers have been things I wouldn't have thought would even sell, like my Team Zissou/Master Frogmen patches, which are currently my biggest sellers. Suggestions of emblems from movies, cartoons, anything you can think of are appreciated.
I would LIKE to offer commissions for embroidered furcon badges but to do those I would prefer to do my own artwork and I don't know if people would like my art...Here's one I did for myself some time ago:

Posted 13 years agoIf you are watching me partially or entirely in the hopes of me posting an embroidered pony hoodie that you want to buy...you're doing it wrong, lol.
Pony hoodies are by commission. So you have to contact me directly and order a specific pony in a specific size. The most unfortunate part about these is the fact that plain hoodies in good colors are not as easy to come by as you'd think, so I have to order them online. The hoodies run me about $22 and shipping is another $12, therefore, plain hoodies run me $35. Then on top of that I have to charge for work and materials. (Granted if I am ordering many things at once that distributes the shipping a bit but I can't count on that. It would only be a matter of a few dollars anyways.)
So, pricing at this time (subject to change) is as follows:
Earth ponies: $50
Unicorns/pegasi: $60
Princesses/alicorns: $70
This is the MINIMUM I can charge and at $35 per hoodie plus other materials there's very little profit at these prices. Which is why these prices may go up (warning you now!). For shipping, $10 in the US (not sure about international yet, we'd have to discuss it). I do not charge for creating the cutie mark designs. If you have an OC and a clear image of your cutie mark (I am not an artist, I need the exact image you want me to use) show it to me and if it is simple I won't charge to make it into an embroidery design. Specialty threads (such as glow in the dark) may be available and, if not used excessively, at no extra charge.
Some designs would be embroidery and others will be appliqued (meaning colored fabric shapes are sewn down with a satin stitch on the edges). Wings are embroidered and horns are sewn of fleece in the appropriate color, stuffed and sewn on the hood. Completed hoodies should be fully machine washable and dryable (and bleach-safe if white), though I haven't actually tested a unicorn in the wash. The horn might wind up out of shape, not positive. Hm.
I will not do manes, ears, or eyes, just cutie marks, wings and horns (we can discuss fleece princess crowns I guess?). On that note I also will not do custom fully sewn kigurumi-style hoodies or jammies - I would love to but at least at this time it is not possible for me to do those on a large scale.
