Update on my life and Mom.
Posted 9 years agoSo for those of you who who don't know or haven't heard by now. Sunday afternoon Between 1:46 PM and 2:18 PM Eastern Standard Time, my Mother had a massive stroke. I came home from work, opened the door and there she was, just laying there on the floor barely responsive and barely conscious. I called my Father right away, and as soon as he got here 3 minutes later, dialed 911, the ambulance was here with in a matter of moments.
Fast forward to a day or so later. She had a stroke on the left side of her brain, which resulted in her being paralyzed on the right side of her entire body. She couldn't talk, walk, or even use any functionality on that side.
The stroke ended up being too severe, her left side of the brain was gone, was mostly brain-dead. She would open her eyes and turn her head every now and then, looked over at us, but unable to speak or communicate.
We made the difficult decision of putting her on a Morphine Drip, to make her comfortable. And eventually had the ventilator removed. After almost 11 hours of breathing on her own (was snoring and congested breathing) for the duration of that time. She passed on to the next life. But because of the Morphine Drip, she was able to go comfortably and without pain, she took her final breath at 4:56 AM This Morning 03/23/2016, and the doctors pronounced her dead as of 5:04 AM.
It's been a hard 3 days for everybody, my Father, her Two Sisters, Her Mother, My Cousins, Myself, and lastly our Dog Mya.
Our Dog has had a very hard time understanding she's gone, but is beginning to accept it. My Mother and I went and picked up Mya just barely over 3 years ago, 2 months before I turned 32. This was the first time in my Dog's life that she was without me at her side over night, since she stayed with my Father's Sister, until about 5:45 AM this morning.
So I will be around when I'm able to this week, just right now things are hectic. Trying to get by one step at a time and not rush through it all too fast.

Wii U, get!
Posted 10 years agoSo yeah, I'm a little late to the party, but as of today, I now have a Wii U. With so far only one game, and that's MarioKart 8. I'll be getting more at a later date though.
Update: In response to all of you, I'll gladly add you when I get my system a little bit further along. Right now I'm in the process of modding the vWii side of things.

Obligatory FA/Weasyl post.
Posted 11 years agoJust to keep things short and simple. I'm not parting ways with FA just yet. I fully plan to remain here on FA for the foreseeable-future.
However I, like many others have a Weasyl account, at http://weasyl.com/~sparkypup. And will try to switch between FA and Weasyl every now and then, favoriting and submitting pictures to both sites.

Who wants to play Minecraft?!
Posted 12 years agoSo for all those who don't know or haven't heard. For the last couple of months I have been hard at work at readying my server for public launch. Tonight is that night. The server is hosted commercially at a VPS and here is the server specs:
2tb transfer per month.
40gb hard disk space.
2gb memory.
CentOS 6.0 32-bit Linux
Right now I know the server specs seem a little on the low side, but when I resume work and have a more stable source of income I will do my best to upgrade it. But the server seems to handle well for everyone who has played on it.
The server is multi-world, consists of both Creative and Survival, but only one set of The End and Nether worlds, and that's strictly for survival only. Ender Chests are blocked in Creative world, but not in the Survival world.
The rules for the server are in the Survival and Creative spawn areas, there is also a set of starter wood tools for anyone to take.
So without further ado, the server address is: puppycraft.net. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask me either here, or on the server.

R.I.P. LucasArts [1982-2013]
Posted 12 years agoAs many of you know, I don't post journals much. But this is truly mind-blowing. As of today (April 3rd) Disney has closed down LucasArts. The company was widely known for creating classic adventure games, Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle (Maniac Mansion 2), Monkey Island, The Digg, Sam and Max: Hit the Road, Star Wars games, among many, many other (point and click adventure) classics that we all enjoyed while growing up. This truly is a sad day for gamers everywhere.
New Yahoo Messenger account
Posted 12 years agoTo everyone it may concern, I'm going to be moving my contacts from my old Yahoo account to my new one very soon. As some of you know, in the last week my previous account was hacked twice, rendering it inaccessible.
Edit: On another note for those of you who would like to talk to me, either via Yahoo or other service, leave a comment here and I will send you a note with my IM info.
Edit 2: In the process of adding everyone back now, yahoo is being really stupid in adding some people.

So yeah... Art theft.
Posted 13 years agoFor those who haven't seen or heard yet, there's this person on Facebook.com posting babyfur art, because she thinks it's cute. Go and comment, and then report the picture if you or someone else you know owns the rights to the picture.
Edit: If you don't know how to report, click on the picture you want removed, and in the full-view, click Options, it will appear in the lower-righthand corner when you hover over it, and when prompted, Report as Spam, since none of the other options really apply.

Update on my life and other things.
Posted 13 years agoTo all those who haven't heard by now I finally have a job again for the first time in over 2 years, which is something I am thankful to have, although it's just working for a local restaurant doing dishes, yet again. At least it's money coming in though. I apologize if I'm away/offline on instant messengers more often than usual. Right now my current work schedule is pretty early in the mornings--from 8am - 2pm (eastern time), 2pm being the closing time, so I usually end up getting home closer to 3pm or shortly afterwards, due to having to do cleanup while closing.
Some bad news...about my laptop.
Posted 15 years agoWell, here we go, first journal ever on FA--And unfortunately it has to be a bad one. First let's just say tonight, around 5:20am or so I was just sitting around, playing a game on my PSP, and my Macbook Pro 15.4" Late 2008 on my lap, and all of a sudden, it starts making an absolutely horrifying grinding sound. I'm pretty sure it's the right fan.
And right now the sound is so strong that it's actually making pretty much the whole bottom part of the computer vibrate. So first things first, went ahead and purchased an Apple Care Plan(ironically enough, I was going to buy one this week anyhow) and will be fixing to send it in to Apple and have them take a look at it. Hopefully I can get them to replace the top half of the Macbook too, which has a few minor dents and scratches on it.
On a better note, things have been looking up for me in life, getting a lot more hours at work and just life in general has been great too.
Edit: Instead of sending my Macbook Pro in to Apple I will be taking it to an Apple Store, about 1 1/2 hours away from where I live, and should be able to get the same service as I would from sending it in.
