So, I got my new phone in today. On fact, its what I'm using to type this journal right through chrome!

I am seriously in love with this thing. It plays everything I throw at it, it corrects all of my stupid spelling mistakes, It supports adobe flash 11, it plays music so clear and loud with its SRS Mobile Surround, everything looks so crisp on its screen (its only qHD), just... ;U;

its 3g is 90% faster than my old phone, just...

And it didn't cost an arm and a leg..

Hey guys, Sparky here. Just want to let everyone know, I wont be making music for a small while... My laptops' hard drive died. Well, not died- more as in broke. Good news is, I was able to find my backup HDD, and was able to save all of my FL Studio projects. I also have FL Studio 10.1 installer saved to my backup HDD for convenience.

I may be away for a bit longer though as this will give me time to find a job. (Or more time, really)

Other News:
I will be receiving my powerful HTC Evo V soon. Anyone on my skype will still be messaged, and chatted with. Since its an android based phone (4.0.3), I wont have FL Studio Mobile like I wanted :c

EDIT:FL Studio Mobile for Android is in development, so in the future it will no longer be an iOS exclusive application.

As many of you may already know, Dragoneer and Sciggles got married. Thats great for them, yes... but..  Sciggles seems to be banning people for things she just doesn't like. She's an admin just because her husband is the site owner. How did this happen?

Well, I know I am practically asking for a ban by posting this journal, but I really hope  dragoneer understands that if a staff starts banning people just because he or she feels like it, even if they are important: then the site will fall. This SITE will follow the same path as http://www.sheezyart.com/ , and sites like sofurry and inkbunny will become much more popular as many will probably leave once they notice this.

I love this site, and I am saying this while I still can. I myself have no problems with Sciggles, but its severely affecting my friends who's done nothing wrong. So, either read (friends and whoever else sees this), and do something about it, or ignore the warning completely and do nothing about it. The choice is yours.

Now, I know what some of you are thinking. "Kase, we already KNOW." but thats just it, you dont. has my old badass laptop. Ya know, the lovely overpowered Dell that has a nasty tendency to overheat? Yes, im going to stick another 4GB RAM in that bitch and apply thermal paste, so lovely Kurt can have the cake- and eat it too. He's able to play games on high, but the laptop is like NOPE DERP IM TOO HOT. LOLOL *turnsoff*

So a temporary resolution is to keep it underclocked.






Now, I dont have that laptop anymore. I have another.
It sports both an AMD Radeon HD6750M, plus an AMD Radeon HD6620G from the APU Processor: A8-3510MX.
A8 in a nutshell: an AMD Phenom II X4 + Radeon HD Graphics.

The processor speed is 1.8Ghz. Basic laptop.

But, I just ran AMD Overdrive.

and CPU-ID.

and HWiNFO (Hardware info, VERY USEFUL TO EVERYONE- EVEN THOSE WHO ARE COMPUTER ILLITERATE.)

All three of them say, my CPU's are somehow running at 2.5Ghz. ALL OF THEM. Not just turbo core, I mean every last CPU is running at 2.5Ghz. and its idling at 40C. (Where as my Dell runs at 1.6Ghz and idles at 70C )

Get this: This laptop's CPU is overclockable to 4Ghz per core. A LAPTOP. OVERCLOCKABLE? THATS UNHEARD OF. LITERALLY.

the laptop's CPU automatically stock locks itself when its on battery back down to 1.8Ghz, but the very moment its plugged into a wall, its instantly 2.5Ghz per core.T hats a huge fucking increase. I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THIS IS AMAZING.

I put my two weeks in at my job, and already bought the greyhound ticket. I have damn near $2400 saved up, and i already did much research around the area I'm moving to.

I'm moving in with , so I may or may not be available for a few days while I get settled in. Don't worry, i'm bringing my laptop, sound system, tablet, and most of my clothes with me- and I'm having the rest of my stuff shipped there.

This is in Boone, North Carolina. Not... too far where i live actually, in all actuality its almost perfectly in between where my mum and dad lives.

I'll probably get a job at the Deli there, or more likely- a job at AT&T or either of the PC places. and there's just tons of fast food joints ('last resorts').

though the first week, I am taking a much needed break. (i'll buy my own groceries for that week)

...I'll start the count down today...

its May 1st. 14 days of work left, today included in that.

Now, many people know me to be the overly generous type when I can afford it. You can ask many of those who are on my profile page, and more! First and foremost: After I pay back for everything he's done for me, i'll be starting my slow process of gifting to those who deserve it. This is after I got a vehicle by the end of this month! :3

Now since i'll have rent, gas, insurance, and groceries to buy- I wont have much leftover to save- HOWEVER. What I do save is MINE. Im already past my second term in college, and wont go until later this summer. I will have no more worries.

Once I buy me a dual GPU (or really, 'hybrid GPU) AMD Laptop, or at least an A-series laptop I can upgrade (as pretty much most AMD A-Series APU laptops can be upgraded CPU wise), I am giving my Dell Inspiron to ; he did have first dibs, and it was my plan initially. He has this shit laptop, and every game anyone gets him (*cough*me*cough*) won't work. He cant even play Portal 2 or TF2 with me. And... he's a close friend. He'll also be getting the laptop case, mouse, and Coolmaster Cooler I have for it (and of course he's gonna get my charger)... except he might have to buy a new charger since the UK outlets are different. No, he will NOT be getting my headphones, my 2.1 sound system, or my Wacom Bamboo Tablet. xD
NOTE: Two things on this laptop will be locked when I ship it. #1: Region Locked for his area, #2- GPU Locked. he's afraid of frying the GPU. Dunno why =u=

Second gift would be for , I still haven't figured out what i'll get her. She has a lot of the things she wants, and I am half afraid whatever I get her, Chris'll be jealous or just buy something else. Either way, I may buy her a samsung series 3 laptop, or if/when she goes to college- I may just get her either a dual-core chromebook, or a dual-core AMD E-series (small) laptop. (Not netbook)

So a few of you already know that I have Windows 8 right now. And to be honest, I am quite loving it, despite the small flaws. However with each update, it seems to perform better. I've had it for almost two weeks now, and no crash.

For those of you who'd like to upgrade without the hassle of formatting your hard drive, fret not! There is three options to install. Upgrade, Custom, and Clean. Usually- custom was the last option to 'upgrade', only keeping your personal files whilist breaking every damn game and app you had. Well, Windows 8 has a REAL upgrade option- installing the OS over Windows 7, while NOT breaking the games. Your desktop will be almost exactly how you left it. Everything. and I mean: EVERYTHING still works. Before install, it will tell you what programs will require you to uninstall, or maybe it'll give you a warning at what may not work. Windows will even notify you that there is an updated version of the software you have that'll work in Windows 8 after reinstalling.

For those who don't think its worth it, not wanting to waste time or think your system cant handle it: Well here's something. If your system handled Vista, it handled Windows 7 even better. If it handled Windows 7, it'll handle Windows 8 even better than that. Everything was built from the ground up, even if at first glance it just appears like a small upgrade. Everything is more user friendly, and a bit more eye appealing. Ya know the office GUI- The ribbon? And any of those who has dabbled in MS Paint or Wordpad in Windows 7 will also be familiar with the Ribbon UI. it is now part of the folder layout. At first, I didn't agree with this, but damn, its easy to use and easy on the eyes! Again, it also became more user friendly (though it still has a Windows 7-like look! just updated)

Another thing. you can stll chat with your friends whily your system upgrades when you're installing Windows 8. yes. Unless you performed clean install, that is. Then the time is shorter- but the OS will let you do whatever you want until the installation is at 50%.

Also, for those of you who have messed with the Windows Phone 7, they're familiar with the Metro UI. Windows 8 includes it. This metro UI is very touch friendly, though not quite mouse friendly (It works with a mouse, and its still easy to navigate- its just better with touch is all). Unfortunately Windows 8 currently treats a tablet like a mouse. (NOT THE PROGRAMS. SAI and Photoshop and the like will still function like normal!) But that's only because Wacom and tablet companies haven't yet updated their drivers. Wacom has already said they're releasing a beta driver reaaaal soon for all newer Wacom products- and some older ones.

The Metro UI is compatible with the Kinect sensor bar. So you can also move the app squares around like you would on your 360. (That is if your desktop/laptop can work with the sensor bar.) One of the apps includes Xbox LIVE Integration. the moment you click on it, you're sent into the menu of LIVE that looks like a split image of the newest UI update for the Xbox 360. hell, your Avatar also stands behind the app squares, doing his thing. Yes, you can also navigate through the Xbox LIVE app with your 360 controller as well- assuming you have a wired or a Windows wireless 360 controller.

Yes. the app squares- also called 'Tiles' are live. Like in Windows Phone 7, when something updates, it updates immediately.

Windows 8 even updated its Networking by a considerable amount. Microsoft as added a 'metered' feature, meaning if you are using a 3G or pay-per-GB/data plan, you can chose to meter that network, and access any WiFi that's within range to keep you from using up your data when you could be saving it. This feature also tells you how much you've been using, which connects to the upgraded Task Manager. The Task Manager can now tell you what program is using data and how much, for each program. It also tells you how much memory, CPU, and disk activity its using as well in a visual, detailed- and much more user friendly way! so more people can at least understand whats going on.

One big thing about the Task Manager is the overhaul of the performance tab, and a new added tab called 'Start-up'. The performance tab is visually appealing, tells you detailed information on your RAM and CPU (down to how much L1/L2/L3 cache you have, what speed your memory is, if its overclocked- etc etc) and your disk, how much, its speed, and stuff like that too. Oh- the WiFi and Networking sub-tabs also have the same amount of detail/data usage/ stuffs like that C:

The START-UP tab is self explanatory. It tells you what programs start up, and its impact on the system from Low, Moderate, High, and Severe. You can disable any item that you don't need to be opened at the time of boot.

Although I have more, I'll end it with one more feature I kinda liked. Although you can always create a local account like all other windows versions, the initial option is to use your Windows LIVE ID to sign on. Yes. If you have an Xbox LIVE or Hotmail account, then you have a Windows LIVE ID. It updates the mail app, and on your account it'll sign on to any app that asks for your account automatically- such as the app store or Xbox LIVE Games app. or any Games for Windows LIVE games!

Its very convenient. But yeah, although there is much more to this list, I am sure you get the idea.

Though its small, I am holding a fun competition/tournament for those who wants to relive nostalgic moments on the N64!

YOU HEARD IT

N64 COMPETITION!

Requirements: Your computer MUST BE ABLE TO RUN Mupen64k or Project64k. I will provide the LINKS LATER ON.

Minimum Requirements:
Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz, or AMD Athlon XP 3000+ (note, I've tested on these kinds of PC's and they worked)
Nvidia GeForce 6200 or ATI Radeon HD2250
1.5 GB OF RAM
A broadband net speed of at least 2Mbits (or basically if you can download around 176kb/s)

RECOMMENDED:
Intel Pentium Dual-Core (D or HT series +) or AMD Athlon 64 X2 +
Nvidia GeForce 8400GS+ or AMD Radeon 4250+
3 GB OF RAM

Controls allowed: Keyboard OR Controller, TURBO DISABLED. (I will have SET KEYS for this. I will also map the controls for you if you are using a keyboard, to give everyone the same playing field.)

Communication: YOU MUST HAVE SKYPE. BOTTOM LINE! We all need a way to communicate through a group, and this is the best way.

THERE WILL BE THREE GAMES.

Mario Kart 64: There WILL be FOUR races and FOUR battles that COUNT. the rest will be for screwaround or practice purposes.

Mario Party 2: There will be a 20 turn match, on a 'voted' map. The map with the most votes, is the map thats chosen. OH, AND I CALL YOSHI >:3

Mario Party 3: There will be a 20 turn match here as well.

FOR THE MARIO PARTY GAMES, THE RULES WILL FOLLOW: All Minigames, ALL TYPES, and since I can't really lose anything, I can drop out of game to spectate and allow my character to be controlled by a CPU at either Normal or Hard difficulty. (I dont have Very Hard enabled as the Mario ROMS will have memory 'disabled' )

FOR MARIO KART 64, EACH PERSON GETS TO CHOSE THE MAP, and we will play all four battle maps.

FIRST PLACE PER GAME: $10. Second place gets $5.
Note: I said per GAME, not per RACE or per ROUND- ITS THE WINNER OVERALL PER GAME. Im sorry that I am cheap- I just wanna do something fun with a prize in the end ;u;

DEPENDING ON FINANCIAL STATUS, I CAN RAISE THE PRIZE AT WILL

This is a FRIENDLY COMPETITION PEOPLE.

Question #1: What if my PC cant handle the emulators?
In most cases, your PC should do fine. N64 emulators don't take much, and it mostly relies on your net. Now if you should encounter a problem, I have a few fixes to help get you back on your way, such as a glitchy screen. I've been using emulators long enough on both ATI and Nvidia cards to know the right settings. IF THEY STILL DONT WORK, Then unfortunately we will have to replace you ;-;

Question #2: What if I DC? and moreso, what if YOU DC? Mister Competition HOLDER.
Well, if you DC for any reason, usually it desyncs us ALL. usually. If we don't, and its at the beginning of the game/map, then we will restart. Since Mario Party 2 and 3 has a turn by turn save, we'll also just wait for you to come back and pick up right where we left off.
Note: DISCONNECTED PLAYERS WILL BE REPLACED BY 'HARD' CPU PLAYERS FOR THE DURATION OF THE TURN. AND IF I SO HAPPEN TO DC, as the host, it'll DC us all, and you have to exit the game manually.

Question #3: What if I am using the keyboard against you guys with controllers...?
To be fair, if it ever turned out that you were still uncomfortable with the key mapping and you have a fair alternative that WOULD make you comfortable, that'll be fine. but if you were still uncomfortable, I myself would resort to a keyboard and/or during team matches, help you win/give you an advantage. I will be fair. In battle matches on Mario Party, I will help to eliminate those who are NOT you. cant promise i'll give you first though ;3 that is, if I can withstand everyone xD But point is: I'll help.

Question #4: So.. how will you pay?
PAYPAL. I also pay per game. so if you are the winner overall in MarioKart, then you get paid immediately after. same for all other games. IF THERE IS SOMEHOW A TIE BETWEEN POINTS (I will list the point rules), - well, I'll post more details when all the slots are full ;3

Question #5(User): Do I have to PAY to enter?
NO! eez FREE TO PLAY. ... yes. its F2P. OH NOEZ. but no if you did somehow manage to 'pay' anything, it would be added to the pot and divided among the winners C:

Okay I mean console games. |3 I have a shit load of steam games though >.>

But I .. dont play them much anymore, and they're GOOD games. like Dragon Age II, Skyrim, Sonic Generations- that sort of thing. (I have 100+ games, |3 ) but....They just arent the same as console games.

My cousin sold a lot of my own BOUGHT AND PAID FOR games ever since I moved up here to West Virginia.

My cousin sold my Xbox 360 S, and used that money to buy HIM an Xbox360 S just because he can say its HIS. I dont get the logic there, but yeah, okay.
He also sold my Original XBOX. which I loved that thing so fucking dearly. it was an amazing console, with all my music.. and everything... and all the great games I had for it. fuck man.

... Im getting worked up thinking about it. *sigh* And my Mario Party 8 as well as Super Mario Galaxy 2 were sold by my dad. Eh.


Well, I do have a console now, and I can thank  LIL-Maj for that. Majorly... I owe him... I owe him big time. All I wanted was friendship. He gave me more. He snuck the convo up on me. I feel like in a way it was manipulation, because he had a crush on me- though it was before he bought it, and I felt bad for breaking his heart saying I have someone :c and yet, he still thinks i'm a close friend...

What he got me was a Nintendo3DS. a wonderful. Aqua blue one. One that reminds me of my character Kyrina. AND he got me Super Mario 3DS as well as Mario Kart 7... im baffled. I bought Pokemon SoulSilver and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow since, as well as a few Virtual Console games....

but I.. Im happy. I am content with this. Because when im at work, I get stressed out. 15 minute break, means I can beat quite a few levels, or maybe smash people online in Mario Kart in a full GrandPrix. It really helps me vent- so I don't explode.

Of course I bring my phone when people want to talk to me. And usually.. there is someone ALWAYS there that wants to talk to me. ...Thanks, draggy.

And for those who are even thinking about getting a 3DS. dont think. get it. its an amazing, dual(possiblequad)-core gaming handheld. Its powerful. No one believes it is, especially those... Sony and Microsoft fantards. But its throughput already beats the Wii. easily.

Geek terms: its CPU multipliers are locked at a low level, leaving the CPU underclocked. 233Mhz. We know this. (Do we know if its a dual or quad? no, but its either or) We also know the CPU it uses is at LEAST a dual core, and its clock rate is ranged from 400Mhz~1Ghz. Why is it underclocked? To preserve battery. But it is CONFIRMED that Nintendo will release an update that'll give a 25% performance boost. This means they'll be adding to the CPU's multiplier. Why would they do that? I DONT KNOW BUT I CANT WAIT. the system already performs flawlessly. and the load times- ... just... so small. sooooo yeah.

Anyways my point is, I only have a 3DS. stop pestering me about other games ; _ ;
