I'm finally working my way down the Trello queue again.

I'm not going to lie. Seeing that list puts so much anxiety over me, that hopefully seeing it being whittled down a bit would help my head heal a bit.

I've been stressed to the point where I've been forgetting what I'd done only 15-30 minutes ago.

Real-life stress is finally dying down.

But I'm only going to have one commission at a time in the WIP queue for the time being, so you all can see where I'm at on the current commission I'm working on.

For those not in the know, I've been working on, in-between commissions, on a collab project with  Freckles /  Soto for a while now! As of yesterday afternoon, the work on this said project has come to an end / is complete!

This said project is a 14-page mini-comic with art from Soto, collaborated dialogue between himself and I, and colors + lines revision here and there by myself!

Due to it having gone into disuse, I've retooled my Patreon page into the place where this comic is hosted, with a tiered 'Pay What You Want' system in place, in the event you'd like to be privy to the fruits of our labour!

Seriously; this was probably my own biggest undertaking art-wise, and one of the most fun to work on.

Alrighty. first off; I'd like to preface with the fact that I apologize it's been a LONG time since I'd given an update on my status here.

The past month has been a bit shaky. In-between small bursts of financial trouble and trying to get rid of a problem involving small red buggy bastards that bite you when you sleep.

And trying to deal with the elephant in the room that is my commission list. That I'm working diligently at to make sure it gets taken down.

I have new main-list stuff to post here later on today, after I finish a final commission on my end. Then I'm going to get to work (finally) on the animations from that YCH I hosted here a while back.

Speaking of that YCH:

I need to open three of the slots in place of one of the entrants who asked for a refund on ALL three slots, for circumstances outside either of our control. So I'm opening those three slots today prior to getting back to work on them.

I know I have at least one of the YCH commissions done so far, but I'm seeking to try to get them ALL done within this coming week, or starting immediately after posting my latest set of commission work here.

The fact that it's been a significant amount of time since I posted the YCH Journal for tracking such things is unacceptable. But holy HELL this year, man. I know it's the same for a lot of others, too.

Shit's getting hard. To cope with. But I'm doing my best to deal with it.

Sorry I've not been active on this account in pretty close to a month or so now. It's not for a lack of trying to want, but some major stuff has been going on recently.

Between moving situations and trying to get everything including commissions sorted (I'm still working on those..), I've mainly been trying to de-stress and deal with home life for a bit, in-between all my work.

Unfortunately, with December comes the holidays and all -- and that gets just as chaotic as a move, if not more. If you're not moving from Point A to B during a move, this time it's all over the place.

I've got some new content in the works, and the list has been going down, thankfully.

Hopefully in the coming days or weeks I'll have some stuff posted, but I think all I could really muster for the meantime until I get a bigger handful of actual commissions done is a proper Christmas piece, which while I have the idea for, has yet to be put onto canvas. I should have it done on Christmas Eve, if not Christmas Day.

Yeah, just two. Apparently the hotel I stayed at during AC is pulling more skeevy crap, and funds have been completely wiped-out for whatever reason.

Rather than try to debate it out, I'll just call it an error in my financing, and handle two more commissions (first come, first serve).

Once I finish these, I'll open two more after. But.. Only after I get the two done, along with a few other older commissions I owe.

I'm not exactly sure how to go about talking about this one, as it deviates heavily from my usual conversation relating to my art and commissions / convention-going and all; but..

Well.. I'm trying to get into dating. And while I know it might disappoint some people, I'm dating straight at the moment (despite what a bit of my art might have to say about my on-goings online.)

I'm not terribly sure how viable that would be even here on FA, or other places. I've tried looking into places like Pounced, but even THEY'RE gone now. And from several sources, apparently some other 'dating sites' are nothing more than bots and cash-grabs.

I've tried doing it IRL as well.. I'm not sure if it's just the nervousness of never being able to meet or connect with anyone in person yet or something, but I can't seem to find any luck in that means of dating, either.

That being said, I'd love to try with someone out there. Either comment here or pass along a note to me, perhaps?

..Or, if anyone has any useful advice, I'd be happy to at least.. take it into mind.

I'd like to state that even though the con itself might have been a bit of a bust this year, I did have an excellent time in Pittsburgh itself, as well as plenty of fun meeting a lot of new friends, and managing to hold conversations with older ones as well!

Thanks as well to  Cownugget for the suggestion of that Yuzu Ramen place. I ended up getting down not only my bowl, but also a friend's who found theirs a bit too spicy :)

While it's true I met some excellent people and managed to get a bit more in the ways of my current commission list done.. the con as a whole felt a little.. off.. this year.

As from what I've been told and have gathered via personal experience there this year;

> Convention paneling was a bit disorganized, in terms of both time and feel. Similarly-themed panels (from what I gather) are being held at around roughly the same time, or have very little transition time in the event someone wants to go to another panel.

> The lines to pay up artists is still a bit inefficient (but this is apparently the norm for AC in Pitt). People easily waiting anywhere from 30m - an hour to pay for their own piece; a process that should take mere minutes.

> There was a noticeable lack of.. people wishing to gather or form meets for pretty much anything. Efforts made to try to do so have ended with nothing.

> I've been noticing / seeing that there were some rude people in the few small social gatherings / events as well, further cementing some people's desires to not return next year.

An EXTREMELY important announcement:

Based on the concern and feedback from people within this server and from several followers, I've closed off ALL instances of incoming commissions / trades / etc. for the foreseeable future. Beyond today, no more commissions or anything taken unless it is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY necessary.

Commission Marathons, as I've been dubbing them lately, is moving from three commissions a day, to TWO commissions a day (if fullcolor.) Sketched commissions or colored sketch I'll try to set to three per Commission Marathon day.

Commissions during these Marathons will be done in the following manner:

2 from the current main / WIP list; +1 from the "To Be Done" list.

If I CANNOT get to a "To Be Done" commission during the time alloted for the day, it will be done or worked-on on the next Commission Marathon day.

Break-time will be increased to 30 minutes, rather than the paltry 5-10 minutes originally plot.

And NO work, WHATSOEVER, will be done during the 'off' day between each commission-dedicated day.

THis means NO trades, NO personal work, NO commissions. These are my days to take a break and not fuck up my hand.

If you CONTINUE to push during these days, I will ask, politely, to either wait out your turn, or ask for a refund.

Right now, health needs to be first on this. Without it, I can't do art for ANYONE.

It will take time, but I want to be done and dealt with my commission list before this year ends.

The long-anticipated picture / collaboration YCH is finally up! :)

Please divert your attention to this journal for a moment about a pretty nice project in mind being plot-out with none other than  NegativeTheory !

An idea featuring two major characters (myself being included) as boss-monsters in a pretty climactic RPG / MMO-esque raid wiping out the lucky (or perhaps unlucky?) party-members that dare challenge the oddly-powerful duo?

A multi-slot Video-game-esque YCH with up to 8 slots available across the entirety of a rather high-resolution picture, complete with authentic (or rather, aesthetic) HUD for all players (read: victims).

Set to have more information available this coming Friday!

Available thus far is: Breastvore / Tentacles / Tailvore / Cockvore / 'healer' + 'DPS' + 'Tank' slots for people to come in and join in on the action.

I've been cooking up something behind the scenes of my commission work. Come on in while I continue on it! =)

The First Journal entry on the YCH portion is mainly for trying to not only fund the Pokemon collection itself, but also the time and home resources I need to take care of as well.

That, and it would potentially showcase, if a threshold is reached, of the same level of detail that I could pump out for the collection itself.

As said before; The comic / YCH is open to changes here and there. If any need to be made, I'll allow them to an extent.

Of course, older commissions will also be completed while work on this project is underway.
