Already Off to a Decent Start.

3 of those commissions from that list completed, as well as further progress made on yet another.
I think this will be a positive change and possibly something to bring my spirits up, but we'll see. With bills and all around the corner, I'm still.. worried.
Funds are running a bit low, especially after putting down the money up-front for the new place, and needing to spend remaining funds on food and new-house supplies.
I'll figure it out. Eventually.

General | Posted 8 years agoRather than keep the Mainpage on FA stacked to the brim with everything and icons to boot, I've decided to take a more streamlined approach to handling the flow of commissions, both the ins and outs; Trello.

This list here shows ALL WIPs and Still-to-be-started commissions I have on my list, and am steadily steaming through. While this might not display them all in a chronological order, this simply states how far I am with each assignment. If needed or desired, I can post WIPs along with each little mark on that board, whether it be to an Imgur page, or a WIP posting here on FA.
Either way, hopefully this is another way I can show transparency and defer any questions about stage in the commission list.

PrDarkFox and his wife are finally moved into the new place!
Location of my workspace and relaxtion area has shifted to the basement, while the room upstairs still serves as a sort of 'barracks', after work and play is complete.
I suppose that helps to differentiate between relaxation and work as well, to be fair. Not a bad setup, either!
I just hope I start feeling PHYSICALLY better come tomorrow. I think I ate something off. Ouch.
But yeah. Health permitting, work on commissions begin in a semi-changed location starting tomorrow!

State of the Dragon Address -- 15/SEP/2017

This has been an actually really incredible week so far, not just in terms of productivity as far as commissions go (and the more regular work being posted), but also life in general.
The house is now secured, completely, and all bills are under mine and PrDarkFox ' name. He and his wife will be along in a little bit to furnish the place with the rest of our belongings and hopefully like the area just as much as I do so far.
While it's not the best place in Louisville, it's certainly a step up from the middle-of-nowhereness that was our former residence in Gaffney, as genuinely peaceful and quiet as it was. To be fair; it was just too small for all three of us to be living in the same (studio) apartment together.
Family has been helping out immensely, and despite my downtime for about a week with no internet, I've been striving to make efforts to improve the frequency of my commission-doing. Which, so far, has been perhaps the most productive week in.. quite a while.
I do not plan to slow this down. In fact, with some recently-acquired equipment in the form of a proper desk and chair, it might even speed up more. For the past week, a metal outside-chair and a fold-out desk kept me mostly sated. This is definitely a huge improvement.
Sakura, the aforementioned roommate's wife, has also successfully transferred her job here to Louisville as well, and only a busride away, thankfully. I hope she likes Louisville just as much as I (and perhaps PDF) do.
With all that said, there will be a few busy months ahead of us. With us now having an actual house for once (and a good condition one at that), it will definitely be in our best interests to keep up on things. Amusingly, this in itself shouldn't be too bad a problem considering this particular house is CHEAPER than the Studio we were pitching in on!
Things are getting better. Health is improving, and quality of life is taking an upturn.
Let's hope things keep that way.

In what seems an astounding bout of incredible luck and possibly some greater-power of some form answering prayers, a good, stable residence is finally secured.
Amusingly, back in my old home city of Louisville. Procured from a relative of mine, who (bless her soul) has been burned on renting to family before. But.. She knows otherwise of me.
As of this writing, I have brought all work and life-essential goods with me over the course of this past day with me to claim residence here. All utilities are in my name, but the challenge is not yet over.
Being on limited-capacity internet for the meantime, I plan to devote my time in temporary solitude (my roommates PrDarkFox and 
SakuraSolo are coming in soon!) to nothing but my work.
I've been holding on, holding out for something good for all of us. In danger of jinxing it, I think we've found that 'something good'.
Stay tuned.

General | Posted 8 years agoHave a few more things in WIP stage right now. Lots of commissions are being done, might do another bulk-post to Scraps to show off some of the work-in-progress.
Finally learning how to drive, and.. well.. showing some pretty telltale signs of being an absolute speed-demon. I didn't realize how fun this actually was. Been scared to drive for the longest time, but I suppose all that was needed was a decent push in the right direction.
Trying to fight burnout and artblock too.. but I'll work past that.

For the Sake of Transparency [Question]
General | Posted 8 years agoI've been thinking about utilizing perhaps a combination of the Scraps and the Folder-system here for posting work-in-progress items I currently have in production.
Anything posted here will be meant for the public eye, so if absolutely required, I might need to ask permission from commissioners to post WIP content here, at least to show that I'm getting things done.
Completed works will be posted outside of scraps / this selected folder, and posted in-turn on the main gallery.
Would this type of transparency work for people out there, or do alterations need to be made?

General | Posted 8 years agoAlright. I know I've not been posting aside from small things here and there, but I promise I'm still trying to work when I can. xD;
With that comment out of the way, I do apologize for the lack of content in general. These past few weeks have been increasingly stressful, and the feeling of eggshell-walking has left me a bit sore for the most part. Depression has been hitting like a truck, and with everything going on around me and people ringing me up almost every hour on Discord / Skype / etc, it's been.. stressful.
Like.. I do know a LOT of people are still waiting for their work, and I get that. But I'm doing my best TO get to everyone, and unfortunately one of the biggest turn-offs from me actually getting things done is the ask of 'where is it' / 'when do you think it'll be done?'. Yes, I know I put this on myself, and I've been working tooth and nail to make sure that set of queries and comments comes up a little less often.
In actual RL news, I do have a move coming up that I'm sure will be a lot less stressful, moving in with a good friend / fellow artist of mine, PrDarkFox . (If you're looking for good-quality / cheap art + Mecha + etc, please look no further than this guy.) Personal freedom is a good thing to have, and more or less it's guaranteed post-move.
I'm feeling a little better today. So, after I get morning preparations (holy shit it's 3:30PM where did the damn time go I slept in again fuck me) out of the way, I'm going to try to keep another set of comms out of the way + done.
