Long road ahead
General | Posted 2 years agoSo very recently a good friend of mine gifted me their old art tablet as an early B-day gift. They did this because I talked to them about having regretted giving up on drawing when I was young after my parents discouraged me from doing so. The whole "You can't make a living off of that" speech. Well now I am picking up where I left off all those years ago. I have a lot of lost time to make up for. And a long road ahead when it comes to improvement of my skills. So I made myself a goal. I am going to draw and post at least 1 thing every single day to improve my skills. These posts will be on Itaku.ee since I rather not clutter up this account since it is really just for stuff I have commissioned. General | Posted 4 years agoWith my B-day coming up soon I find myself debating weather or not I want to spend what would ultimately end up being a not insignificant portion of my saved up money to buy myself a custom suit of my Red Dragon. Or maybe even just a properly made head hands and feet to be worn with cloths. Been something I have wanted to do since 2014 but never had the funds. Now I have easily 2 to 3 times what it would likely cost to afford it (estimating 3-5K) and am debating weather or not it really is worth it. So do I live the dream and burn some dosh? Or just do the safe thing and give up on it for sake of my wallet?

General | Posted 5 years agoLately I find myself with a drive to get my ideas out. Its been a while since I have actually wanted to get art. Its not like I Don't have ideas. Its more that I just haven't been thinking about it. But now with me playing a lot of D&D, I keep thinking to get something of my little Kobold done up. Or maybe make a unique Kobold character to add to my little group of characters. I have some fun ideas for those both SFW And NSFW. So now I just have to wait until artists open comms. But in the mean time. Keep on being awesome everybody!

Its features are fantastic and leagues ahead of what FurAffinity has been doing. Simplified tagging system that lets you see what other people are tagging as you type out your tags, to help with tagging suggestions, it has easy to mas edit, upload, tag, delete or otherwise organize multiple albums of images, better integrated social features, such as status update feeds, reactions for posts such as "Like, sad, thanks, confused, haha" easy to follow and post, live stream announcement feeds. You can share more than just art too! It has its own directories for music and literature! BUT THATS NOT ALL! Integrated hosting for Looking for Artist Ads, YCH Ads, and general commissions! I am still digging into every little detail, but what i have seen so far has me convinced it is where i want to be.
I'm not getting paid to say any of this either! I just genuinely think that its time FurAffinity either updates to get with the times, or gets left behind. And i rather not get left behind with it, if it fails to update itself.

General | Posted 7 years agoTwas the night before Christmas, and sat in his room, the tired red dragon sat alone in gloom. "Here I sit with nothing to do. No one to hold, or even talk to." Sad it may be, twas just meant to be. Maybe next year he would spend it with someone who made his heart jump with glee.

General | Posted 7 years agoSo after looking back through all my stuff and seeing the half dozen or so different ways Spazz has been drawn, i think its time for a new Ref. One that updates and consolidates some features. I'm likely going to get a proper Ref for Nezza as well within the next month or so. Depending on how many extra hours i can slip into my work schedule. At any rate, back to the point. Moving forward from here i'm going to use that whenever i hire an artist. So that will be the look to go off of, no more artists who each draw Spazz with a different hair color, or weird eyes without pupils. A big part of this does land on me though, since i generally have let most artists take the reigns and have fun with it for the most part. I wasn't always super big on details. *shrugs* The tattoo will likely still shift a bit from piece to piece, but that still doesn't matter much to me since its kind of a pain to draw exactly the same each time and from a dozen different angles, etc. So long as its close enough it is fine with me.
I don't really count details that involve certain kinks as Ref important details though, like hyper. So long as the shape and color is right, size can vary here and there to accommodate the kink on display in the image. Hyper being used here, to make an example.
Please do tell me about what features you really like about Spazz or Nezza. I like to know what other people like about them. Maybe tell me about what features you think would look awesome on them. I'm always interested to hear what other people are into. Its fun to share that kind of stuff. Well at least to me it is.
Lastly, and likely of least importance. In the unlikely event that you were hoping to get art commissioned with my characters and one of your characters together, and you REALLY liked an old feature or don't end up liking one of the new ones. Feel free to tell me about it and it can be altered for that commission. So long as you are willing to help pay for it. I have had people ask about getting commissions together but then they don't want to put up their share of the price. I like getting art with people, I do. I just don't like moochers. I work hard to afford what I get.I'm back!
General | Posted 7 years agoMy vacation was a success! Vegas was a ton of fun, got to do a lot of cool things. I'm far to lazy to elaborate, but here were some highlights.
Go cart racing at Pole Position
Hitting my lucky number on Roulette (180 payout) ON MY FIRST SPIN! This basically paid for the next day's activity.
Went on a roller coaster
Saw Bohemian Rhapsody
Ate ate a bunch of nice restaurants.
After all the excitement its good to be home though.

VACATION!
General | Posted 7 years agoIm goin on vacation in a couple weeks! I'm goin to Vegas! Gonna gamble away all my hard earned money! Not really. I don't gamble much. But i have always wanted to go, see the sights, see some shows. maybe go on a rooftop roller coaster. Its a crazy city. Plenty to do without gambling. If any of you have ever been before and have some ideas or suggestions for my trip let me know.

General | Posted 7 years agoSo here i am sippin my coffee at 3:30 am, thinking to myself. I have over 150 people watching this profile. Now i know that is not a big number. I'm a small fry compared to other names. But i have been thinking, maybe i should try and see just how far i could take it? As a sort of experiment. This would mean i would have to be more active on *shudders* Social media. DUN DUN DUNNNNNNN! Any advice before i begin this mad journey? My idea to start was just to try and post more on my twitter. And also to try live streaming. I play a lot of different games. Might as well see if i can turn that into something more than just a time waster.

General | Posted 7 years agoSo the 21st is coming up and I'm going to be 24. I should try to do something fun for my birthday. Gotta see if my boss will let me off work first though. At any rate, any suggestions for what i should do for my B-day? I'm thinking of just going out for Hibachi.

General | Posted 7 years agoSo me and my BF of not quite 3 years, ended our relationship today. I hesitate to say it was a break up, because as time went by we seemed to both agree we were starting to drift apart, acting more like casual friends than partners. So today we have both agreed things are better as just friends. About the only thing really changing here is the fact that we wont be having sex anymore. I'm counting myself lucky that I found a person who I was able to enjoy a good relationship with, and even more lucky that we can be mature adults about this, and keep in touch and still play games and goof off. Sure I know most people find that sorta thing weird, as most ended relationships tend to go poorly, and people hold resentment. But neither of us have the time for that. Life is to short to hold a grudge or to get angry. Besides, Boyfriend, Girlfriend, spouse, all of these are just labels slapped over something and we call that love. When under that label it might not be completely true. So to sum it up, I am still very much a happy dragon, not slowed down by this at all. Glad to still have an awesome friend, and looking forward to what comes next in the future.

General | Posted 7 years agoDoes it make me a narcissist if i want to have a body pillow with Spazz Printed on it? Is that weird? I mean i already sleep with a body pillow, just a plain one because i need something to snuggle when i sleep. But to have a Spazz pillow case would be kinda cool right? Or am I just weird? I should look into hiring someone to draw up a body pillow of Spazz. Or maybe Nezza. Or both. I dunno. What dragon would you rather see on a pillow? Spazz or Nezza?
