I'm also gonna be at Anthrocon this weekend! It'll be my first time back there in just over a decade. I haven't gone since 2014, when the attendance number was muuuuuch smaller. I'll be bringing Terr and Salts- I didn't end up being able to finish my doggy project beforehand. My job has been very time intensive the past few months. Hopefully I'll be able to spend more time working on him when we get back.

I'm looking to unload some unused fursuit parts, for cheap because I really just want them out of the house for space reasons (and they're nice parts that I'm not using!).

Firstly is Salts' body suit, made by Multicolorbark in 2012. It's made to fit someone 5'3" and ~100lbs. It's all white lux shag, with long pile fur on the chest to make it fluffier. No tears, it's been kept in a hard container with routine maintenance throughout the years. It has been kept in a home with cats, and previously one with dogs. It doesn't fit me anymore but could be used for a good few years! Asking $50 plus shipping.

The other thing is a blue bunny tail I bought at Anthrocon 2013. I don't remember who made it! But it's cute, clean and has no issues. Same warnings as above, kept in homes with cats and dogs.

Hey all!

I'm in a better spot mentally than I was a few months ago. Still pretty busy! I have been enjoying my time with friends, and my job is still pretty demanding. Speaking of job, I got offered the position I've been filling in for permanently last week- so I'm officially a [REDACTED]* full time! Better pay, better hours, I actually am home before the sun goes down, the option for upward mobility if I so desire. It's a nice spot to be in, and it only took working shit hours for 10 years.
*It's nothing too serious, I still work for the same employer, however there are very few of us so I don't want to dox myself lol.

I changed my display name to reflect the name I use literally everywhere else. I created my FA handle when I was in middle school, and haven't identified with it since then. It's a distasteful name, and while I can "reclaim" it, I don't want to. Please don't refer to me as "spazz"- I don't like it. Tye (actual name), Hatch (fursona name) or Jackal is fine.

I didn't have the time or mental bandwidth to do the BUNNIFY! Ray this year, sorry about that! Maybe next year, maybe a different -IFY! Ray event in the nearer future. We'll see! I've been contemplating opening for smaller things like icons again, it just depends on my free time. Art Fight is starting in a few weeks and I'll probably be doing that. It's been warmer here, which is energizing. I hate the winter.

Hey y'all!

Wanted to ramble a little bit about the state of things.

First thing is: I have a new position at work that's better hours and more money. It's annoying to try and explain how it works for me to get it permanently, but so far my detail has been extended twice due to my performance. It's a lot more responsibility, but I work on my own and I enjoy that.

Fritter and I have also been doing a lot of work to the house, slowly but surely updating it. Recently we replaced our ancient AC unit, thankfully before the summer hit us with 100 degree weather. 🫠 We had a lot of travel the past few months and it's not really stopping, we had two weddings to attend, some conventions, tattoo appointments, DnD sessions, we're visiting the in-laws soon, Furrydelphia is right around the corner. Things are just really busy!

And for that reason I don't really see opening for commissions in the near future. I'm drawing a lot more than I have in a long time, but I don't want the additional obligatory workload on top of everything else going on right now. Hopefully y'all will enjoy the personal things I've been working on.

I have successfully survived my twenties! Now it's time for the real fun, the decade before I hit middle aged!

I didn't have any time to doodle something for myself before today, maybe I'll squeeze it in over the weekend. We're going to go see the building that the exterior scenes of Gremlins 2 was filmed at tomorrow and bounce around to bars and alt/oddity shops to celebrate. I wanna find something to bring home and decorate the liquor cabinet that Fritter got me with.

Small update about a major thing- my surgery was yesterday and it went great! Just resting at home looking like a cenobite from Hellraiser until Tuesday when I get the drains removed. Even with all the bandages and tape I feel amazing, a little sore but amazing.

So I've had my top surgery date set for a few months but didn't get a price estimate until last week. It's going to cost me roughly$7-8k out of pocket (and that's after insurance lmao). Hey all. Trying to make more of an effort to post journals on here. My life has been insanely busy and there's not really an end in sight for that. I work a lot- my full time job, art, studying for a cert, other projects and general house work (we've entirely redone the guest room, now we can have guests!). As well as trying to keep up with IRL relationships as much as possible. I'm beat! I won't have any time off until I have surgery this June(?), but I won't be able to do much for 2-3 weeks. Not really a vacation when you won't be able to lift your arms above your chest or really leave the house. 😅

I might be enrolling in college to get an Associate's this fall on top of everything else. I've learned that I may be able to get it entirely for free, or heavily discounted, through our union benefits. It depends what can be done because I'm not really into the idea of going into debt again. I'll be speaking to an advisor soon!

Right now for conventions we don't have any set in stone. We can probably swing nearby ones for a day or two, but not really looking to go to them that much still yet. We are planning to go to BLFC, because of it being during the week this year means I can make the con. I wanted to spend a week in NV for vacation anyway, and it lines up right. So we'll see!

I don't really play Neopets Proper like I used to. It's just too frustrating to try and keep up, the economy is fucked and I don't see them spending a lot of time doing anything New and Fun for the site. Good things from the past few weeks!

- Had my bilateral salpingectomy last week, procedure went great and mostly just waiting on the incisions to finish healing! I'm back to full mobility/little soreness.
- I got 'promoted' (well, 'converted' blah blah postal jargon) at work! I'll have a set schedule, no more insane hours and 6 day weeks. Also a nice little pay bump and better benefits.
- My partner and I (mostly my partner since I was laid up on the couch after surgery) moved our office and have new desks. I'd been using the same desk for a good few years and it was really space inefficient and I kept hitting my knees on it. This one has adjustable height! So I can stand and draw if I wanted to.
- The pipe issue in the previous journal has been temporarily resolved. They WILL have to be replaced at some point, but for now they're stable.

The work schedule thing is the best news because it means I can finally relax and make reliable plans, whether that be when I can work on art and other projects, do things with friends, plan trips, etc. Before my start times would vary anywhere from 4AM to 2PM, and change daily. I'd always be working weekends and holidays. It made it hard to maintain a life outside of work and home.

This is very stressful for my partner and I, so any input or help is greatly appreciated!

I started my new position on Saturday and work very early hours (5/6AM - 2/3PM) but tbh I'm happy with it so far! I get to get up early and go home in the afternoon. The only thing that sucks is getting up at 3:45AM to get ready on the earlier days lol.

That means I'm back to doing art "part time" which while I'll still accept new commissions (please feel free to message me!), my time to work on them can be limited depending on how my work week is going. You can still expect them to be done in a timely manner, though, unless I tell you otherwise!

I ended up buying another tablet pen to fix my previous issue. I bought one, and it was broken right out of the box (seriously Huion pens are shit quality), so I ended up buying another and this one is working. Hopefully it doesn't randomly decide to break as well!

So I'll have more finished art to post soon. I hope everyone is doing well!

Hey all! My earliest non-commission related journal was from 8 months ago, so I thought I'd type out something to let y'all know what's going on in my life at the moment and near future, and plug my Twitter and stuff.

This past year I've mainly been focused on work and saving money/paying down my car hardcore. A few years ago I had really fallen behind financially and career wise, and decided about two-ish years ago to really get my shit together. I'm doing much better, in fact so much better to the point that I'm going to be making a massive life change in the coming weeks!

At the end of this month I'll be quitting my job. This, frankly, has been a long time coming as working there has been nothing short of miserable. The money is great for what it is, but a prime example of why I'm leaving is that I've worked there full time for 4.5 years, 6 days a week, usually over 50 hours. Despite this I am still not considered a "career employee" and do not get most benefits afforded to career employees, including these past almost 5 years not counting toward retirement whatsoever. So I've decided to pursue another career path. I have begun work on obtaining an A+ certification, as well as started learning ASL. ASL mostly because I think it would generally be useful to know, and possible job opportunities are second thought.

After that's said and done, I'll be moving! Mid to late March I'm moving in with Fritter (and his two Perfect Cats) up in NJ. This is the furthest I've lived from my family so it's a little nerve wracking, but I'm really excited to start a new chapter of my life. It's going to open a lot of doors, both for our relationship and me personally. I'll be living closer to my relatives, and it's exciting to be so close to NYC (literally like 30 minutes) and have access whenever. Not to mention that Fritter has generally just made me an overall happier person and encouraged a lot of growth. I'm looking forward to growing more with him. <3

This brings me to the next thing: COMMISSIONS

During the downtime between me quitting, moving in and finding a part time job (so that I can focus on studies), I'll be open for commissions. All commissions, until I'm employed again. I haven't opened full time in years so it will be interesting and I'm sort of excited to do it again! I'll be making another journal in the future when I open with more information.

Hey all!

The past few days both and have been visiting and helping me set up my new computer (which is amazing a beautiful and perfect).

My dumbass got too excited and unplugged my old computer without backing up my PSDs. So I'm a little behind, but I still plan to have things done by the 25th! I will be plugging my old one into a different monitor when I get home form work this evening to finish dumping things into my drive to transfer over. I plan to have at least two commissions done this evening as well and some others started!
