So! With how much everyone has donated, I.. actually was able to find a place (in a different city than mine) that had the surgery I needed for a price just barely under everything you guys amassed - and an appointment date relatively soon! So, in the end, given this is a condition I was told degenerated fast if left unchecked, I just decided in the spur of the moment to go for it.

And yes – as of writing this, last week, I had the surgery! Today, I went to a mandatory check-up that essentially was to see if my eye’s been healing well, or would we need to have the whole procedure all over again. Fortunately, all results from the tests they did came up positive, and I’m now finally back home and able to rest up and recover!

I couldn’t write this earlier as for the first few days I wasn’t supposed to look at any screens… I was also in immense pain the whole way through xD

I still can’t believe you all did this for me. The amount you all have amassed is absolutely INSANE, and I will for the rest of my life be beyond grateful. I can’t even begin to say how overwhelmed I was, and still am, by it all. You’ve saved my sight. No words are enough.

For what comes next however – unfortunately, after the operation, my eyesight will apparently be taking months to recover and actually improve – this means, for now, I’m still kiind of operating like before, with my left eye out of commission. I’m handling things okay, but for the first month I’m supposed to rest and not go outside much, as well as not physically exert myself. So it’ll probably be a while before I can get back to doing art like I used to.

This is why, I’m leaving the ko-fi up for now, since I may be recovering and all, but rent and bills will keep coming… So any help on that front will be endlessly appreciated. I’ll be doing my best to get back to work as soon as I possibly can! Though well, guess it’s not entirely in my hands rn, haha

Hi, you may have been wondering why I have once again disappeared for a while. truth is, i've been still trying to work on comms on and off while managing my personal life, but it's just been extremely difficult to find a middle ground for work and earnings with how chaotic and tough my life has been lately. Thanks to the help of many friends however, and with me managing to get through my backlog more and more, things were finally looking up, and I seemed to finally return to being in a somewhat stable position...

...and then my bank has just wrongly charged me twice for certain payments i've made in the past. All of a sudden, I have a massive gaping debt in my bank account, and I can't make any payments. I'm trying to resolve it, but as is, even though I have just managed to regain some financial stability, I'm suddenly deep in a nightmare again.

I've been debating with myself whether or not to make any of this public for the longest time, because I don't want to concern others with my personal issues. But I can't anymore, I'm at my breaking point.

I live in an extremely abusive family. My parents are heavily religious, and have believed themselves justified in hitting me and my siblings. They destroy our belongings and spend my money without concern because they believe they are entitled to do so by God. I have been unable to leave this household due to them taking most of not all of the money I make, they help themselves to my savings.

Trying to meet their demands has left me exhausted most nights, and I cannot keep up with the amount of work I have to keep taking to match it. If I do not meet their demands, they say they will kick me out of the house. In the area I live, this would be incredibly dangerous to me, if not an outright death sentence. They know this, and it's why they keep taking everything I can manage. It's been getting worse and worse, and eventually I was forced to take on loans just to be able to keep paying off my parents. Those, predictably, have come around to bite me, and now I'm in a position where both my financial situation and mental state hit rock bottom. I can only ask for help at this point.

Been a while again, huh? I figured i should finally post some sort of update, as I have kept quiet for... quite a while (god the last journal has been 8 months old aaa). The past year has been a turbulent, difficult, stressful time for me. A lot of things happened that I can't get into here, that have impacted me so hard, I'm not sure I'll ever be able to fully mentally recover from them... But I am still alive and kicking, and have been trying my best to work on my crazy backlog of patreon rewards and commissions despite everything. The good news is, I'm very close to being done with everything! The bad news is, my finances have ran out sooner than I wanted to... Still, I'm positive that at latest, i'll have everything, and i do mean everything, done by early next month at latest. And as for plans for the future go:

- I've completely overhauled my commission price sheet, both in how it works and in it's pricing itself. I hope this new sheet will be more clear and make it easier for people to gauge how much something will cost. I'm planning to finish a few more of the old batch before it goes live, but once it's up, it'll stay open until I'll say otherwise. The prices are going to increase quite a bit, both so that I can take a more reasonable amount of work at a time and finish everything in more acceptable timeframes from now on, and so that I can eat more than a single meal a day.

- The bulk of my sketches is still going to be patreon discord server exclusive, and as before I'll upload one or two here from time to time - no changes there. Recently, (and i mean, really recently) I've been struck with a really awkward ultimatum from my parents where I'll need to acquire a certain amount of money in a few days or I'll get kicked out. I don't want to get too in-depth about my relationship with my family, but in short i still live with my parents, although I'm pretty much paying them every month to stay with a roof under my head. The situation at home has been tense for months, so it's difficult to work on commissions, or any art for that matter. In such a situation, I probably (definitely) shouldn't have taken as many commissions as I did, but I had to take as much as I could, I wasn't really thinking about whether or not I'd be able to finish them in any timely manner. I realize that's incredibly unproffessional and I'm sorry. I've slowly been making progress on them, but there's still much work to be done, and I'm really sorry for the amount of time it's taking me. Unfortunately however, with the threat of losing a home right before christmas, I kind of need to prioritize making money in any way i can. As such, I'll be opening a new ych really soon. The last one I have opened was 2 months ago, but I am fortunately almost done with it, and should be able to release it tommorow, so that's at least something for good news. Since YCH's are generally more profitable for less time required to finish one than commissions, I'll most likely be focusing on making more of them in the near future, but I promise to keep working on my current batch of commissions. I'll be doing everything I can to progress with them as much as I'll be able to in the coming days.

As you may or may not have noticed, I haven't really uploaded much the past month, other than the ych (on which I'm working on, don't worry!). That's because in the past 3 weeks my personal situation has gotten quite a bit worse, and I had a tough time getting to sit down and make much progress on comms. And at possibly the worst moment, my paypal account got suspended. I have since managed to make a new one, as I already got an e-mail explaining the old one won't be usable anymore. Problem is however, I lost a bit of money thanks to that, as I cannot pay it out anymore either (I had the conscience to pay out some of it before, but left a bit on paypal to save for next month... and then that happened). It throws a wrench in my life to say the least. As such, your support would be appreciated more than ever by now. Don't worry however, I am still going to work on my current batch of commissions first and foremost! Question. If characters don't have feet in their original design, would you be up for seeing an anthro version of them, that would have feet? Or rather, to just add feet to the character? For example cappy. I really want to draw scenarios with him that include feet, but don't know in what direction to go with him. What are your opinions on this?

I wanted to ask you guys. Would you be interested if I would open a few cheap commission slots? To not have anyone disappointed, I would draw only commissions of Kirby characters, as I do draw them pretty well. I practice them every day, and will soon finish another sketch with Prince Fluff, in which I was testing out drawing from different angles. If I would open a few slots, what prices would they have? Maybe a dollar or a half for the on-paper sketches, about two dollars for the digital sketch, and maybe 4 or 5 dollars for full colour? Because my art currently is not that good, I don't want to overprice it. What are your takes on it? Maybe cheaper prices would be better?

So I have been looking around furaffinity, and there are quite a lot of characters that I rarely see any art of. I decided to start and create some art of my own, but I haven't been drawing for a long, long while, and I basically forgot nearly all of what I knew about drawing, as well as went back tremendously in skill. Basically I'm back to square one is what I am saying.
I want to get back into art, so I am asking anyone that knows. Are there any tutorials for artists that you can recommend based on personal experience, or any tips you could give me for drawing/improving my art? Thanks for your time, bye ;)
