My Commissions, Pricing and Rules

Agreement Upon Requesting Artwork:
By ordering a commission from me, you agree to the terms detailed on this page. As well as agreeing that you are 18 or older. You are responsible for your understanding of the information on this page. Failure to abide by my terms may result in cancellation or refusal of future services. This is digital work, meaning you will not receive a physical copy from me.
The commissioner must have full rights or permission to use all characters involved in their commission request.
The commissioner must be prepared to pay upfront. (Refer to Payment below for further details.)
I won't take comm requests that lack sufficient references. I.e. ones that require me to make a new character from scratch.
I won't take comm requests that have a deadline. Unless the deadline is reasonable or generous.
The artwork will be posted under the commissioner's username upon completion to all of my social media platforms. Commissioner is free to reupload artwork to their own social media handles (hopefully with the appropriate credit to the artist. (**Spectra98**) I'll be sad if you don't). If the commissioner wishes for the artwork to be kept private or not be posted until a certain date, please let me know ASAP and I will happily accommodate.
Rights:
Below describes the rights of the completed commission between both parties. Unless discussed before any work was done.
By the Artist:
- I reserve the right to refuse a comm request I'm not comfortable with.
- I retain rights to all images I create.
- I can use them as part of advertisements for commissions and as part of my portfolio.
By the Client:
- You may repost anywhere, but you must credit the artist. As well as link back to their page.
- You may not remove my signature or claim my work as your own.
- You may not alter, transform or build upon my work.
- You may not profit from redistribution of work produced by me.
- You can crop and reuse parts of the image as icons or other forms of media.(You must credit the artist in this case as well.)
- You may use the image as a wallpaper for your pc or something similar.(But it's best to ask first for confirmation.)
Slots and Queue:
Comm slots are first come, first serve. Once I have the requests, comms will be closed. But when I'm done with one batch of comms, about 5 requests, the slots will be opened again. I have a Queue list on my Trello page so you can see the workflow of the requests. Which starts at the top, the one that is next in line, then goes down the list. The usernames in the list will have color codes which shows their situation. I.e: They have a deadline for their requests, they're my supporter etc. Certain color codes will then give them a higher priority to the others.

Descriptions and Rough Sketches:
When you make your comm request, I ask that you provide a description that is as detailed as possible. I.e: The type of clothing the characters are wearing, their expressions, their poses etc. Same with the type of background and setting that you want. I also ask that you provide a rough sketch of what you want the final product to look like. This is so I have a visual image of what you want and it has to tie with what you wrote in the description.
PRICES:
These prices are the general base prices for all comm requests. Additional things such as outfits, props, backgrounds, etc. are all add-on options. That will be added, based on description and rough sketch, to the final amount of your request.
01. Type(s)
$15 - Headshots/Profile Pics/Avatars
$30 - Half-body drawing
$40 - Full-body drawing
Additional characters: +$20 each
02. Outfits and Accessories:
These can be a variety of specific clothing that certain characters wear. Such as outfits from a movie, tv show, game or other types of clothing. Accessories refers to items that characters are either wearing or holding as part of their outfit. Can be anything like a backpack, gun, necklace or other types of items. Based on your request, and this being an add-on, the final amount will be increased based on complexity.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Outfits and Accessories are priced at the same amount, e.g $10, separately. But if they are combined in the same comm request. I.e: Character A is wearing an army uniform with backpack. Then the price for both items is added together.
1. Simple:{e.g; t-shirt, jeans, box}: Free
2. Medium:{e,g; camouflage pattern outfits, pajamas with patterns, backpack}: +$10
3. Complex:{e,g; detailed wedding dress, armor, gun, necklace}: +$20
03. Backgrounds:
1. None:{solid color or gradient, e.g; a single color background or two colors for gradient or vignette background}: Free
2. Simple:{1-3 background props, e.g; a simple study w/ desk, chair and books.}: +20%
3. Medium:{4-7 background props, e.g; a bedroom w/ bed, door, window and dresser.}: +40%
4. Complex:{8+ background props, e.g; a detailed bar counter w/ booths, stools, drinks, tables and sign.}: +60%
04. Additional Options:
1. Close-up Shot:{Detailed cutaway of the action taking place}: +30%
2. Internal Cutaway:{Detailed internal cross section}: +30%
3. Alt. Version:{Second version with varying expressions, poses or clothing}: +50-100%
4. Detailed Sequential Shot:{An aftermath shot of the overall scene}: +50-100%
5. Messy and Clean Version:{An Alt version with or without genital fluids}: +20%
PAYMENT:
All Commissions are expected to be paid in full, upfront via Paypal Invoice, before any work begins. Payment is done in either USD or Euro. However you are responsible to pay any conversion fees from Paypal, if your currency isn't USD or Euro. Also, I don't accept echecks.
DISCOUNTS:
Below is a list of discounts that I offer and how much each of them are. As well as how you can obtain them for the future.
01. Loyalty Discount:
If you commissioned me five times in a row. You will gain a discount of 10% off for future comm requests.
02. Ko-fi Supporter Discount:
By donating 4-8 ko-fis in a row, or in a single go if you're generous, to my Ko-fi page. You will gain a discount of 12.5% off for future comm requests.
03. Patron/Substar Discount + Benefits:
By becoming my Patron(that you can do here if you're interested: patreon.com/spectra98) or Substar(that you can do here if you're interested: subscribestar.adult/spectra98) you can gain a discount of 5-25% off commissions. Along with the benefit of claiming a slot first before anyone else, as well as with other benefits tied to the tier. Of course the size of your discount will depend on the tier you pledge to and you being apart of the tier for a minimum of two months.
COMMISSION PROCESS:
As soon as I make an announcement about comms being open. Then you guys must fill in the form that will be provided completely. Once that is done, I will place your username in the **Queue** list. Then I will apply the necessary color codes to showcase your situation. When I'm ready to take on your comm request, after reading the form, I will reach out to you via Twitter DMs. Then I will wait about two days for a response. However if you do not reply to me within two days, if you wanted to rethink your request or some other reason. I will have moved on and messaged whoever was in line behind you, and so on. Until I get a reply from you, your place is on hold and the line will continue to flow. When you get back to me, we will communicate from there and you’ll likely be after whoever the current commissioners are. Then we can move the conversation to Discord so you can provide the necessary information like character sheets or artwork depicting the character(s). With a rough sketch drawing of how you want your final product to look. You can even send the information on other platforms if you feel more comfortable with them. Which you must point out in the comm form.
After you provide me with all the details and reference images, I will look over it. Then I will send you a Paypal Invoice with the final pricing of your comm request. Which needs to be sent within two days after I sent it, otherwise your comm request will be put on hold. Then I will move on to the next commissioner, so the queue can move smoothly.
After you successfully sent the payment(refer to payment above) I will place your username in the adjacent list **In-Progress**. Then I will begin work on the initial sketch of the request. Featuring all the characters, poses and background. When it's finished, I will send you the finished sketch for evaluation. At this stage the commissioner may make large-scale changes like adding another character, for example, and I'll make the necessary changes. But they will be charged extra(see prices above). However once the sketch has been approved, by you stating that I may proceed to the next stage, I will move onto the Lineart stage. At this point any changes are no longer accepted. Except for markings and colors in a design.
Just like the sketch stage, I will send you the Lineart version for evaluation. As soon as the Lineart is fully approved I will then proceed to adding the base colors then later the shading. Changes are no longer accepted once the Lineart phase is approved. Once the artwork is finished and approved, I will send it to you via Discord. While I post it on all of my art platforms. Unless of course you stated a date when the artwork gets publically published. Which NEEDS to be discussed ahead of time.
REFUND POLICY
Refunds can ONLY be issued if the following situations have occurred:
1. No progress has been done on the comm request within a month period.
2. Commissioner wishes to cancel the comm request, before it was started.
3. If a comm request has started, but then a cancellation is requested. The refund will be partial in these situations:
Sketch Complete: 80% Refunded
Lineart Complete: 50% Refunded
Flat Colors Complete: 20% Refunded
Shaded Complete: No Refund

Posted 5 years agoSo I am finally done packing all of my stuff from Deviantart and moved it here. I must say, I am liking this site. I think I will create a big artwork on this move. Some time in the future.
