I'm wasting my time with advertising on 3 different websites in 10 different methods with no reward sooo yeah lmao, I'm done for now.
Plus 15 bucks down the drain for premium on Picarto and still an empty chat room. Sorry for being a negative nancy but yanno, I get frustrated when nobody really bothers.

Some people shouldn't have pets // small rant
Posted 9 years agoAnd while a lot of people mean well, they either can't afford, or aren't willing to work to afford care for their pet(s).
Such is the case with my mother. While we live in separate houses, we "share" a flock of chickens for eggs, so they are basically pets.
However, NONE of them are vaccinated, and over the course of several weeks they are getting more and more unhealthy. We had a dozen - Two died of unknown causes. One died suddenly overnight in her eggbox while seeming bright and healthy the day before, and the other showed lethargy for a few days and then died shortly thereafter. My mom cried both times. I at least gave the birds the dignity of wrapping them up and burying them - As opposed to being tossed out in the woods or dumpster, as I have seen people do. It isn't right.
Now, 2/3 of our chickens have fowl pox - supposedly an easily avoidable disease via vaccination, that my mom refused to pay for. On top of that, one chicken's eyes have completely swollen shut with conjunctivitis of some sort. I had to sit and swab her eyes with a soaked q-tip for a good 10 minutes to get them open, and even then she has an aversion to keeping them open - the eyelids are painful and inflamed.
While we have a broad-spectrum antibiotic that goes in their water now, and it does seem to be doing a little good (the pox is lessening, it takes a while to go away since they are like blistered warts) sometimes home remedies aren't enough and it frustrates the shit out of me when someone isn't willing to do what they can for an animal because they are either too lazy or don't WANT to pay the money it'd cost to treat the animal, even if they can afford it.
It may sound dumb, bu chickens are smart. VERY smart. Like a cat or dog. They are inquisitive and even affectionate if they know you well. And because I have no car and no steady income, I can't take the situation into my own hands beyond doing what I already can. :/
I have a cat and I do everything I can for her. While she's never needed a vet, she is vaccinated and I buy what she needs, when she needs it. Because I believe that loving an animal isn't enough. You have to take care of them. I think I'm a good owner. My mom, however, is not. She favors convenience at the cost of those chickens' comfort and health. It's not right. So because of her laziness, I am the one that ends up caring for them hands-on.
And you know what's funny? She's a nurse.
TLDR; Mom loves her chickens but not enough to care for them properly and it pisses me off

Posted 9 years agoThat porn rules the internet and usually makes great artists that draw SFW content go unnoticed for the most part, especially on FA.
Just a random thought while browsing about today.
I don't have anything against porn, it just so easily overpowers anything else.
It's frustrating, trying to get known when not drawing explicit content. :/
though I guess it's safe to assume 80% of FA users are here just for the porn anyways, since it's allowed and lenient in what is/isn't acceptable

Pet piller syringe, any recs?
Posted 9 years agoSo giving my cat benadryl is becoming a pain. She gets half a tablet and it lasts her the entire day. She WILL NOT eat it in food (it's extremely bitter if ground up!) and she WILL spit it out if it's whole inside food/treats.
Also she has developed a sad/terrible defensive habit of thrashing and salivating like a wild rabid animal from me giving it to her by force.. gently, of course, as one can be by cramming a pill down an animal's throat for their own good. Because otherwise, she is itchy and miserable and this is the only thing (other than her medicated shampoo) that keeps her sane and to not mutilate herself by excessive scratching.
I don't get out often (no car, boo) so usually things that aren't needed immediately is stuff I tend to order online. Can anyone recommend a pet piller they use and can vouch for quality-wise? It will be used daily, so I will need something that can last me a while. I just really want/need it to minimize the stress of giving her meds, because I feel that if this keeps going, she will end up avoiding me altogether. D:

I am still helping my family. The water rose to roughly three feet in my grandmother's house, so we have been ripping carpet and sheetrock walls from their bases.. Literally starting over from scratch, with thousands of items, furniture and priceless belongings ruined.
But.. Most material things can be replaced. Family cannot.
When I'm not helping refurbish her home, I am helping in other ways on the side; Sorting donations for flood relief, cooking, anything really. Things will be a little bit hectic for a small time - Especially since my grandfather (by marriage, being a second husband) has fairly advanced Alzheimer's. So, he is another unpredictable and irritable thing to manage on top of everything else.
All in all, I apologize for being somewhat out of touch recently, but at least you can see and understand why.

My grandma got flooded out of her house and had to be rescued so she is staying with my parents and I had water like 2 inches from coming in.
