Im so beyond overwhelmed right now, managing uploads to multiple sites is difficult for my broken brain at the moment but I wanna keep trying.
No promises of course, but ill at least try to keep things from getting so far behind again!

Starting Sunday, March 1st I am going to start updating my “Vanilla” account’s gallery to catch up with this account’s main gallery. After that though, I am going to be switching that account (
AnikiFaux) to my MAIN ACCOUNT where I will upload all of my more vanilla art (The humping, and the voring). This one (
spikesdasnowfox) will be designated to my “Dirty Account” where I will continue to upload all of my dirtier fetish pictures (Farts, Scat, Ect. you know what I’m talking about.)
I have a few reasons for wanting to do this. First, I just can not keep up with uploading the same pic to two accounts, ESPECIALLY not on FA. For some reason FA’s upload process just feels wildly tedious to me. Second, I have been going by “AnikiFaux” for like seven or eight years now, but I still occasionally get called “Spikes” So I want some consistency between my FA username and most of my others. Third, I think having the accounts separated and organized will keep me decently active on both.
All things considered, it just feels like the best move for organization!

It's that time again! That time where lots of things happen to me so I have to rearrange my life and priorities, and well that's something I'd prefer to keep you in the loop about lol.
So we have a few different things going on, they all sort of effect each other, but lets start with the biggest one that sorta connects them all:
Work-
(To sum up- My store got sold again, new company is shit, I'm not sticking around.)
Okay, so about three months ago I got promoted to store manager where I work, and it actually sounded like a rad way to do things!
I didn't hate this job by any means, the retailer that had bought our store a few months before had really turned things around for us and helped a ton.
I figured I would just stick around and do that while working bit by bit on art and save up to take another shot at freelancing down the line.
Wellllll we got bought out again. That makes two times in the 10 months I've worked at this store that my store, myself, and my employees have been tossed around by different retail companies.
That alone was grinding on my nerves quite a bit, but I wasn't about to just abandon ship because of it.
The new company had promised that they would be keeping our hours and pay the same, so I figured I would stick it out a little and see if I can manage with this company too.
There's a few problems with that though...
It's week two since we were purchased and finished the acquisition process. I have no idea if my employees or I are making commission on our sales, and the company is "working on it"
and refuses to answer any further than that. I am also not receiving the manager bonus that I was promised would "carry over" from the previous company.
We have barely any inventory, constantly upset customers because we have no inventory and/or because these shitty middle-aged white Kansas people just don't know how to treat retail workers properly,
and no problems have been fixed at all. I have no HR to contact, no work Email, I just filled out the LEGAL HIRING PAPERWORK a few days ago despite having been working for like 5 days before that.
Apparently this company has only been "open" for about 2 months now, and it's all sketchy as HELL. With all of this going on, I really can't find any motivation to want to stick around.
Even if they do fix everything, they won't compensate or treat me nearly as well as the other company would have. Even my spouse is urging me to ditch this job, and they don't tend to like spur-of-the-moment decisions like that.

Before and while all of this has been happening, Ive actually thankfully been finding myself growing into a better, healthier, less-stressed mentality. My urge to get something done with art, to start my future doing the
things I actually love to do has been growing bigger and bigger, igniting in me.
I'm sure most of you have seen the crap I've been putting up with over the last two years. Well, after the death of my grandfather more than a month ago it all suddenly flooded me. I hit a peak anxiety and depression point,
I knew I was about to break if I didn't do something, and thankfully I found a way to get myself back to fighting shape. I'm back and better than ever, my most genuine self and I'm ready to start doing the things I ACTUALLY WANT TO DO!
So then, Whats the plan?
THE PLAN-
I'm ditching this shitty retail job. I got some management experience at least, so should I need to job hunt again, at least I have that and good references. I am going to be putting my two weeks in sometime this next week.
From there, I am going to finish my queue up and open for commissions again with new prices and structure. I am also going to be doing some reworking on my patreon! Some additional bonuses for different tiers and a
few changes to the other ones that nobody pledges to.
I am also going to be using a new type of "mini YCH". When I make one of my YCHs, I usually go through a few rough draft ideas and sketches either to warm up, or find the one that works best as a full picture,
but I realized that the drafts are kinda just laying around otherwise. These sketches would make great flat color sketch YCHs as a cheaper option, and I think that a few people may want to jump on them!
I would be charging just single prices for the slots in the mini YCHs instead of the auctions I do for the main ones, which would be first-come, first-served.
I am also going to start messing around with 3d modeling more! This is probably the part that will impact my Patreon the most, because my patrons will get to see the entire WIP process of this depending on the tiers,
while I would only upload small WIPs and the finished products on FA and Twitter.
I think that should be just about all I needed to update you guys on, I cant think of anything else at the moment.
I can't thank you all enough for the support you give me! I didn't expect to have to jump back into freelance stuff again so soon, but honestly I'm kinda glad. This stuff brings me far more joy than any other job I can imagine,
and seeing you all enjoy my work keeps me eager to keep going!

-An Update On Things-
Posted 6 years agoHey everybody, its been a while since I've done one of these so I figured I would update you all. I've been a bit silent the last week or so because I've had a lot going on and a lot to deal with internally. As my friends, customers, and supporters, I thought you deserved to know what has been, and is currently going on.
Last week on Tuesday night my grandfather passed away, and its been sort of the latest domino that knocked a lot of things over.
Those who have been around for a bit know about how I lost my brother and cousin to suicide about a year and a half ago. A few people also know about my grandmother's passing about a month or so ago too, but I didn't really say too much about it then. My grandfather's passing has made me realize just how bad everything has gotten for me mentally and emotionally throughout all of this.
Over the last 2 years I've lost 4 of my closest family members, people I just always figured would be there, or that would be around for much longer at least. Ive been trying to keep up with it all emotionally, trying not to bottle it all up, but with the usual stress of living paycheck to paycheck and getting behind on commissions I sort of neglected emotional maintenance for the sake of focusing on financial problems.
Right now, thats what im trying to fix. Im taking time to try and figure everything out and try to get myself in a good headspace.
I apologize for the silence, I know ive got quite a few unread messages to check, but right now im trying to figure this out myself. I know without a doubt that im not alone. I have quite a few friends willing to help and talk with me, and in that regard I am still very lucky. I have to figure some things out on my own though, and its thanks to the support I have from so many of you that I can do that.
Things will hopefully be better soon enough, but I appreciate every bit of support that I get from you guys. It really means a lot to me. I should be getting back into the swing of things again slowly, but I want it to be different. I want to come back with a fresh mind and a strong plan that will keep things more organized this time around.
Thank you all for your time, patience, and support. I dont know where id be without it.💚

[IMPORTANT]⭐Life Update 2: Electric Bugaloo⭐
Posted 6 years agoYooooooo hey everybody! In my last journal I left a bit of a life update about some of the things that had been stressing me out and, as a result, effected my art. I have another update about some extra things and the effects on art and how I will handle things going forward, although not as depressing as the last journal.
There is one thing I had left out of the previous journal, and that's that I had been told of the chance to be promoted to store manager at my current job. I immediately began stressing out about it because I knew I would have to have more hours and responsibility. I knew that taking a job like that would make managing my goal of going full-time with freelance art much more difficult and I would definitely have to take a break from it for at least a little bit so I can get a feel for how much time I would have to do art on the side. It wasn't a for-sure thing though so I figured I would wait and see what happened before I planned further.
Today I met my area manager and in the meeting she brought up that she had heard that I was interested in the position and questioned me about how I would feel taking it on. The meeting ended with the decision that the current store manager would be moving to a different store to manage and that I would be taking over my current store sometime before the 15th of June. This still isn't totally -FOR SURE- because it requires the current manager at the other store to step down, but it looks like this is the most likely scenario.
I am still slightly torn because I have been working so hard towards this art goal for about 2 years now, but with my current financial situation I absolutely cannot turn down the opportunity. I am not getting by with my current pay, and I can't actually take commissions because my queue is still full. In fact, I keep having to do YCHs and taking emergency commissions because I am falling behind so much financially.
So where does that leave everything? I'm still working it all out currently, but I think my plan going forward will go something like this:
- I will continue working on the commissions I owe on the side. I do not know how long it will take, but it should not slow things down any more than they currently are with me having to take up emergency commissions which eventually delays my queue anyway.
- After my queue is completed, I am going to take a break. I don't know how long it will be for, but I cant imagine that it will be for more than a month or so, if even that long. (And Ill most likely still be doing personal sketches and junk between stuff, I really cant go that long without drawing anything at all lol)
- From there I will make another plan to figure out just how long it will take me to get to my goal of full-time freelance commissions. I will also probably start taking a small queue of commissions here and there, I love working for you guys and I know quite a few of you are still wanting to get some art from me, so I don't want to keep you waiting too long if I can help it at all 💚
I think that's probably most of what I wanted to update you on. I know this isn't exactly convenient for the people who are waiting to get art from me, but I need to do something about my financial situation and continuing on like this is only hurting me, my spouse, my roommate, and you guys as well because each YCH or emergency commission I need to do in desperation only pushes back me opening commissions again further.
I hope you all can understand, and I am thankful each day that I have your support. I really couldn't ask for a better set of fans and friends, and I promise that I will make it all work out just fine~

MON 27TH- Full shift at work. Evening for art.
TUES 28TH- Afternoon shift at work. Evening for art.
WED 29TH- Full shift at work. Evening for art.
THURS 30TH- Off work. Full art day.
FRI 31ST- Off work. Full art day.
(Friday and Saturday may be swapped depending on if my coworker needs it off)
SAT 1ST- Full shift at work. Evening for art.

-General Update-
I have been slightly absent the last few days and the situations that caused it may leave me not quite at peak productivity for the beginning of this week so I thought I would give you guys an explanation as to why.
Ive been on the edge of a panic attack for the last few days, reason number one being my financial situation.
So last week on friday I did some budgeting and realized just how much of a financial shitshow Im currently in. I had roughly $600, $300 of it went to a late car payment and $200 of it to car insurance. That left me with about $100 with rent coming up ($200), not to mention the few other bills coming up along with my tag renewal ($300) which is now about 2 months late. Basically Ive been hoping that I would get enough birthday money from family to pay for my rent which kinda just feels like total garbage and I currently still havent figured it out.
Reason number two for my stress is because of family stuff.
Saturday was my younger brother's wedding, it was emotional and for mostly good reasons, the wedding itself didn't add much stress but as I was leaving my mother and her husband gave me gas money and told me to visit my grandmother. She is currently in the hospital for a long list of reasons and last I knew she was still doing well enough, but they told me that night that it may be the last chance I get to visit her. I went and saw my grandmother on Sunday and it left me in a not-so-great place... I'm happy I got to see her, and in terms of getting to sit and talk with her it was a nice visit. When I went in though I didnt even recognize her... I thought I had wandered into the wrong room at first. She looked so sick, she was so much more quiet when she talked, and she couldn't stay awake for more than a minute or two at a time. I could tell it really wasn't good and it took everything in me to not be a sobbing mess when I got to my car later.
My apologies if this is all a bit dramatic and over emotional, but I wanted you all to know what has been going on with me and why I may be a bit quiet. Ive just had a few people who were concerned and typing it all out in an update is a bit easier than explaining it all to each person individually lol. Im going to try and perk up, not just for productivity's sake obviously but I just really dont want to fall behind art-wise more than I already am.
I'm gonna be fine of course, I always work through the rough stuff eventually~

Thank god, I definitely need more art time. Also yeah Friday is my birthday and unfortunately I gotta work that day. My manager didnt make me work that day originally lol but my other coworker really needed it off in order to move, so I gave her the day instead.
Gonna be slightly busier with the wedding on Saturday, its really not technically 3 days off, just 3 days off work lol but It'll be fine~
MON 20TH- Full shift at work. Art in the evening
TUES 21ST- Afternoon shift at work. Evening for art.
WED 22ND- Off work. Full art day
THURS 23RD- Full shift at work. Art in the evening
FRI 24TH- Full shift at work. Probably just gonna relax afterwards for my birthday.
SAT 25TH- Off work. Going to Brother's wedding
SUN 16TH- Off work. Full day for art.
Back to those 3 days off that my awesome manager has arranged for me!

Posted 6 years agoThis is an odd feeling... ive got so much going on, but for the first time in a long time I feel actually ready to take on what I have to.
I plan to finish up all of the art I owe as quickly and efficiently as possible with my greatest effort. You all have been waiting long enough, and I am eager to get started on my plans for the future regarding art.

Unfortunately I wont be able to do any art until I get unpacked at the new place which most likely wont be until Sunday or Monday at the latest.
Not too much of a point in making an actual schedule for you guys this week since theres no art time and since my schedule is already a huge mess.

Im going to be MUCH busier and a bit more stressed in the coming weeks, but I'm also super excited! My spouse, a friend of ours, and myself have found a new place to move into and Im really liking it.
Problem is now we need to gather the deposit, rent, pet deposit, and pack as soon as possible.
Im going to continue to work on commissions of course, but im definitely going to have to do a high quality YCH or two, so keep an eye out for that if youre interested!
