Sorry I've been missing! Little update
Posted 10 years agoI've had A LOT going on this month and really haven't checked FA or anything recently. It's been a rough month with a bunch of random crap going on, and lots of stress. But hopefully it's starting to look up, only time will tell. :)
I'm so mad that I missed the last furbowl with you VA furs, I thought it was the weekend after for some reason. Q.Q But I WILL be at the next one! I hope I can keep up on going to more of the other meets as well. It always cheers me up hanging out with you guys.

Huge mistake
Posted 11 years agoWell I made the unfortunate decision to try my hand at drawing. Holy cow was it embarrassingly awful. Whelp, I'm never doing that again.
I feel like there really aren't many things I'm good at. There's plenty that I do ok, but nothing that I truly do well. It's a crappy thing to feel mediocre as a person. I know the more you practice various things, the better at them you become. But I just haven't found that thing that fits me just yet.
Really didn't mean for this journal to take that direction, I more so meant to just laugh at myself a little for the horrid art attempt. But ah well. Thanks for listening to my rambles.

Posted 11 years agoThe ONE time I have some money I can spend on commissions (nothing too pricey though) no one I want to commission is open. Everyone is always open when I'm broke.

Posted 11 years agoMan, I'm sooooo damn tired. If I could draw, I'd draw Thicket sleeping so at least I could pretend I was. Also a pic like that would be really cute! But alas, tired me + no drawing skill = a lame day.
Shortening my name
Posted 11 years agoI've been thinking about this for a while and I'm going to be shortening my name to Thicket. I don't think the Laura part added much, and I always felt like I had to introduce myself with my full name. So from now on it's just Thicket. Which I like way better. ^^

Posted 12 years agoSooo frustrated. I ordered fabric for my fursuit, and one of the key fabrics was missing from the box. So I called, they were polite and offered to rush ship me the missing fabric. Great, awesome. Then the replacement fabric comes in and it's the wrong one! So I call back and apparently the fabric that I wanted is now totally out of stock and they won't be getting anymore of it. They are giving me a refund. But come on! I REALLY needed that fabric! I've looked at several different sites and just can't find one that matches the way I need it to. So I'm just going to have to settle on something that won't look nearly as good. LAME.
I need to get the fur fast too cause Rainfurrest is in the end of September.
So it looks like I'll need to order the new fur today.
If anyone has any good suggestions, I'm looking for a fabric to go with:

WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN a lady walks up with a Great Dane pup the exact same age as mine.
AND SO... we decided to meet at the dog park later for them to play. When we met at the park I found out she was a....
PERSONAL TRAINER! Who will now walk to my house to hang out and help get me back in shape, and thus
A GLORIOUS FRIENDSHIP WAS BORN!
