Ugh, another multi-week spell of sunken motivations. Even though I've been active on sketchbook drawings.

Considering Twitter/Bluesky for a long time, because just about every artist has one there. But I've been hesitant about it since it is so huge , I certainly won't be noticed. AND that every account consists of a continuous scroll that makes no difference between original posts and favorites (aka "retweets"). So yeah, the format intimidates me.

Also thinking of Pixiv, Newgrounds, and other places. Any recommendations?

I have recently been preoccupied with something you may or may not have heard of. Here's the heads up:

This year's Total Solar Eclipse will appear over a large swath of North America. In response, I have already made plans of taking a vacation to the extreme north of New Hampshire. It is the nearest place from my home in northeast MA where I can catch those three+ minutes of true astronomic bliss.


Within that meantime, I am working on a therefore highly time-sensitive project that celebrates that "once-in-a-lifetime" event. It will include my OC Lauren Glass and numerous furry characters who have made their debut since North America's previous solar eclipse in August 2017. Unfortunately, it won't include any Beastars characters as I don't want to "crowd" the pic more than I already have.

Because of this newfound priority, I most likely won't be posting any new pieces until the first week of April.

Yesterday, an right on schedule, I received my anticipated Wacom Cintiq. I opened the box, took a good look at the new device and its components, placed it on my computer desk, and.... I have yet to go anywhere beyond that point. 😅

I'll tell you more once I get the hang of it!

You may not know this, but ALL of the artworks I have ever posted were done with a mouse. A wired-to-the-desktop mouse.

I am seriously considering using a tablet, as I've seen journal entries of so many productive artists mentioning it. I have also heard that artworks can be done more quickly, especially in regards to the line-making process prior to coloring.


So here is my question:
What do you recommend as the best, easy-to-use tablet for making art, which is compatible with a Windows desktop computer?



I would really appreciate your suggestions very much.

Two months. I owe you guys an update.

I've been busy as always and distracted by way too many things. One of them happens to be the video game Night in the Woods (Oh yeah!) I've been recently playing. Love it, love it, love it! I also have purchased Fuga: Melodies of Steel, Crash Bandicoot Team Racing, and Spyro: Reignited for my PS4.


I've also been in and out of an art block due to a particular piece I'm currently working on. It's meant to be a surprise, but I'll give you one hint: The year 1973.

This is embarrassing.

The second month of 2023 is almost over, and I haven't even posted a single thing!

In addition to work, frequent headaches are consuming a great deal of my little spare time. My job is not stressful in its own right, but I have to commute in through heavy traffic, especially on my way home. Also, I have become less physically active due to the frigid weather, which is probably why I'm getting headaches in the first place.



I just want to tell you guys that I'm not in any hardship, I'm just tangled in the mess of my busy yet uneventful real world.

I'm just posting this journal because I haven't done any activity in almost two months. I'm quite certain you're worried. Even my intended comeback on June 9th has been postponed, due to (you guessed it) time-murdering work with a fair dose of headaches. Cut to the chase, someone on Reddit's deviantarthell reposted my fanart of Mr. Moe Wolf from The Bad Guys (premieres tomorrow, April 22, yay!). I knew that my feet-friendly art had the remote potential of being "cringe." But on the contrary, I am so obscure that nobody outside FA and almost nobody within DA would ever notice my stuff. Deviantarthell is one of the places I occasionally visit when straying across the internet. The focus of this site may be self-explanatory, but I shall warn you, it contains stuff that is absolutely not for the faint-of-heart. The vast majority of the content is belly inflation and vore (I'm completely not into that). Even most of the feet pics are so poorly done, I flinch and scroll away quickly as possible. But if you want a good dose of eye poisoning, this is the place to be!

Alas, it's a shame they didn't accompany the posting with my follow-up pic of Diane Foxington.


And no, I don't have an account on reddit. Even if I did, I would not comment, upvote, or favorite any of the stuff found on Deviantarthell. I go there purely for the entertainment.

The 2021 Continuation of the "Six Fanarts" thing that I've mentioned so many times now is finally about to arrive!


I have 36 characters listed, numbered in a relatively equitable sequence, given the unbalanced gender ratio. I used an Excel sheet as a guide.

Their ultimate order of appearance is then determined by the roll of my dice. For instance, a "3" and a "5" is multiplied to 15. Character #15 is selected, "crossed out" from the list, and another pair of numbers is rolled. This way, even the originally prime numbered characters have a chance to be allotted. I know this system isn't perfect. Using the first 36 bingo balls is a better option, but unfortunately I don't have them.

Hi readers, I intended to post at least one submission a month, but being busy and having weak motivations has taken a lot on me. I had a temporary job at the Lansing Building Products office in Woburn (about 21-22 miles from my home) that occupied 45 hours of each week. The duties of the position (taking phone calls) were not what I expected or desired, but it gave me some much needed income. Well, it lasted barely a month and ended just recently, a bittersweet moment that gave me some relief.

So unfortunately, I do not have the time to make a Halloween-themed pic. I mean I theoretically could, but it would lack the details that I strive for.

Art wise, I am in the process of completing yet another Beastars fan pic. Afterwards, I would work on my trades for  braixenfox and another (a second one, in fact) for  medic.mccloud34 . I also want to squeeze in some fan art of Brand New Animal (BNA), because it was a rare bright light we got during this dubious year of 2020. I feel like I owe a display of thanks to that anime!

EDIT: Looks I achieved my page's 10,000 view milestone quietly during the past week. Granted, it's not really a big number, but it's still something worth noting.

UPDATE AUGUST 27th: Alphabet Characters Series 4 of 4 (T-Z) posted. Also the final slot is filled. Ready for action. But trade I promised with  medic.mccloud34 is underway, therefore a minor break with Six Fanarts ensues.

I'm not a fan of certain overwhelmingly mainstream characters, you know, the kind that you always see when you spend enough time in the outside world. I also shy away from the grotesque. Just a little heads up on what my taste is.
-The "hyper-mainstream" are MLP, Sonic, and MM himself.
-And naturally, each character will be depicted with bare feet. Think of a character who is an adult (but not too old) or apparently mature enough to be considered an adult.
-Open to males too. Please NOT TOO MASCULINE OR GROTESQUE. No shirtless guys, please.

Original opening lines, June 14th: [It may be three months old, but it sure is interesting to me. During the past month or so, I actually drew 24 characters from video games, tv shows, and animated features using that template. They are all anthro and each represent a letter of the Standard Alphabet (except for Q and X, since they are scarcely used). However, what I didn't know beforehand was that the character choices are to be suggested from commentators, not decided secretly by the artist. Why did I not know that sooner?! I can't believe I neglected to follow the rules! *facepalm*]

June 17th: Thank you watchers your your impressive input. Naturally, my artworks are female-centric, so most of you have provided me a power-packed listing of numerous anthro girls.

Hello watchers, it's me at long last. Understandably, you guys must've been worried sick (pun intended? idk), not just because of my length of absence, but also the global situation of the last three long months.

At no time during that period was I or any family member afflicted by the dreaded Covid disease. The explanation is lack of motivation, plain and simple. Ironically, I'm still power-packed with ideas. And I'm also caught up with the entire Beastars manga, at Chapter 179 as of this post.
