FUNDRAISER: Help Us Get Out of This Dangerous Situation!
Posted 6 years agohttps://www.gofundme.com/f/spooktoo.....ve-from-danger
I finally broke, after years of wanting to make a fundraiser to escape this horrible situation that's just gotten worse and worse with time, I did it.
Please consider reading and sharing! If you can donate, I greatly appreciate it!
I know it seems like a lot but anything will help us.

PATREON & TWITTER GIVEAWAY!!!
Posted 7 years agoHey there, everyone! My patreon page has been live for just a few days, it's getting daily posts with private art & it's all going toward helping my roomie & myself move into a healthier environment, something we've been in dire need of for years. So it's a fundraiser with perks for all the supporters/patrons! I usually keep a lot of art private, so this is an opportunity to share it & I even have request/suggestion (with voting) opportunities & a "raffle" for an artist-choice style commission every other month but maybe more frequent over time! This will be a paid weekly page, payments pend until the 1st of every month, and you can set a monthly cap on your budget limit, if you need to.

Thank you all so much for looking! I'm trying to get back in the swing of social media & galleries. It's just very hard when living in a pretty chaotic living situation, more reason we really need to move! haha! TvT
Q&A welcome in the comments, btw!

(Long Post) Regarding My German Duck, Herr Feder
Posted 9 years agoI'm sure most of you are acquainted with my character Herr Feder, my German "mad" scientist duck who I've had for at least eight years now. He's very important to me.
Though, an issue, the whole WWII/Nazi-Germany subject has been brought up a lot to me these past couple of months.
Anyhow, I will not mention names but it has been brought to my attention that there has been a German/Nazi-Germany, gray color scheme, bespectacled, toothy, water bird character going around lately and I just wanted to clear up that I have no association with this character! Please do not be confused or assume I'm involved with this character and/or creator!
As an old history enthusiast, I found WWII history very interesting years ago but I in no way associate or take part in the Nazi-Fur community. Dealing with sensitive subjects such as WWII and Nazi-Germany are very tricky and I would rather not handle the theme in my own stories and creations. To be clear, the war was incredibly harsh and it can be personally sensitive to me due to being queer, trans and mixed race. Still, it's fascinating history to educate yourself on if you have the stomach for it.
Feder is meant to be a somewhat dark yet light hearted character. He used to be much darker and gruesome years ago but he has grown a lot as a character with me. He sticks to professional freelance jobs and only low-grade "back alley" mad science as he tries to get his life back together for slice-of-life story telling and giggles! My work is almost always dark-comedy! Feder is seriously the polar opposite of the Nazi ideals and will never be anything similar.

These guys do not apply to the Nazi theme at all and never will. Please do not mistake this! If people want to handle WWII themes in a respectful manner, that's fine, but I'm not involved in the community and do not plan to.
I just wanted to clear this up! Please do not feel intimidated by me having a duck who happens to be German as one of my main characters, he's grumpy but he's getting softer as time goes on. He's growing a lot and so is his story and the world he resides in.
***TLDR: My duck is "queer trash" but he is not a Nazi-Fur and never will be! Prejudice themes are no fun and make me feel queasy. I'm sorry. This isn't meant to stir up trouble, just to explain some things!

Scanner Reccomendations???
Posted 10 years agoWorking on traditional things, obviously, it's all I'm wanting to do lately. I am having a teensy issue though, my ancient scanner is... well... ancient. It kinda eats my colors on marker pieces, my linework isn't scanned ideally and loses some quality at it's largest scanned size even after digital edits. Also, this thing makes it difficult to scan my sketchbooks, cutting off at least .5" of pages at times since it's a bit smaller. Not to mention this thing even has flecks of idk on the inside of the glass that always needs to be digitally removed from scans, I assume from on and off storage and moving it around over the years. It's not really the best option for doing any high quality scanning. I can survive with this but I am in need to replace it.
Does anyone have any suggestions for decent, kinda affordable scanners? Thanks!
EDIT: this won't be something I'd buy right away. I can make due with what I have right now and still keep some nicer quality art coming. It'd be rad to get a new one somewhat soon-ish, though, since I'm planning on scanning a lot of traditional media art for my Patreon(s) when launched and [GA-MA] & [R-18] comics that could rang between 13-20 pages and mini-comics. So lots of use is in the future!
