My Old Kitty
Posted 12 years agoI'm afraid my 18 year old cat, Rascal, is nearing the last week or so of life. I have literally grown up with her; she was the first pet I ever had, and although she has outlived a hamster, several fish, another cat, a rabbit, and a dog, soon our house will be pet-less entirely. Old age has caught up to her horrifyingly fast. Just last week, she could jump up on the bed, and chase my dad around the house. Now she sleeps literally all the time, hasn't gone to the litter box in 6 days, and is not interested in being loved on or eating food. She won't even bug my mom when she has a bowl of icecream. I bought some catnip for her tonight to see if she'd be interested in it, which she was, she sniffed it and licked it up just like she used to, but tomorrow morning we are going to have a family chat about what we should do. I have come to terms with the fact that, regardless, she will pass very soon. What I'm afraid of is my mom will be too anxious to have her put down, like, within the next day or two, and I don't think we should. The cat doesn't seem to be in pain (I know it's hard to tell with cats, but still) and even though she's sleeping all the time, she's still... aware. I feel like either she will let us know when it's time, or it will just happen. Like with my grandma's old mini schnauzer. One morning, the dog just didn't get out of bed, and her eyes were glazed over. We just knew it was time. I don't feel right about bringing my beloved cat in to get put down just because she's acting old.
Sorry for the wall of text, I just needed to get my thoughts out there. I will miss this darn cat when she goes. </3

Just got it up and officially running like an hour ago. I've been gathering parts for this thing for like three months now, and the taste of victory is sweet. I even got a brand new computer desk! (THANK YOU FRY'S ELECTRONICS for your mad online price-matching skills!) I can't wait to do art on this thing omg. It beats the hell out of my laptop.
On another note, HOLY HELL HOW DID I GEt over 100 watchers? Thank you all so much! I hope y'all find me entertaining enough to stick around for one reason or another. <3
Now to go download the steam games I've had forever but was never able to play

Posted 12 years agoWell, got back from Rainfurrest last night. It was seriously the best thing ever. I got to meet awesome people and buy awesome things and dance at awesome dances and assfsgdjd I'm so sad its over. Totally going next year.
Also, in the hotel where I stayed, there was a BBW convention going on in the penthouse. This coincidence makes me laugh. We sent empty elevators up to them a few times haha
And when old people asked me what was going on why are all these people wearing tails, I told them it was an art convention and the theme was animals, and they thought it was the coolest thing ever XD

I cannot for the life of me get my tablet to function correctly. I am about to throw the damn thing and my laptop out the goddam window. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, restarted my computer, unplugged and plugged the thing in, messed with settings, all for naught.
I have a Wacom Bamboo Create, got it new last Christmas. I have a Toshiba laptop that is only 2, maybe 3 years old that runs Windows 7.
Here’s what my tablet does: Every time I plug it in, the light on it flashes white, and a little notification pops up in the bottom right corner of my screen to tell me it is “installing device drivers.” When it finishes this, the light on my tablet turns a steady blue, like it’s supposed to. When I go to use the pen, the light does not turn white the way it’s supposed to when the pen is close enough to the tablet. It’s like I might as well be trying to use a #2 pencil on it. Sometimes if I scribble on the tablet with the pen for a few seconds, it will recognize that the pen is there, but as soon as the pen is moved out of range, it won’t recognize it again. As an added bonus, sometimes pressure sensitivity doesn’t work. It seems to decide if it’s gonna cooperate with me by flipping a coin. Some days the stupid thing functions perfectly! I don’t understand it! Why does my tablet constantly suffer from PMS? Can anyone help?

Posted 13 years agoMy lovely boyfriend bought me a Bamboo Create. :3 I LOVE IT. But I am soooo out of practice since my other tablet stopped working a few months ago... Hopefully I'll improve quickly!

Posted 13 years agoWorst weekend ever. Probably won’t be online much for… who the fuck knows how long.
Okay well, on Friday I made a deal with my mom: if she gave me money to go to the movies with friends, I’d clean my bathroom and bedroom Saturday, and if I didn’t clean then she could take my ipod and laptop away for a week. Well Saturday, I seriously TRIED AND TRIED to get myself to clean- I have ADHD, and like seriously, I just sat in my room talking to myself in my head saying “OH GOSH I have to clean! But wait I’m hungry I’ll go down and eat something and then- NO! Have to clean now!” and it just goes on like that. It sounds dumb but it’s a serious problem I have and I don’t know how to fix it. Anyway, by like 9pm I was like 90% done with my room, and I thought “Okay well, I’ll just stay up until 1 or something to clean my bathroom.” But that’s when my dad found our cat Milo outside stuck between two slats in our backyard fence. We dunno how long he was out there, but when we freed him, his back legs weren’t working. He was old and had some sort of disease that made him super skinny, and now with his legs not working… so we decided to take him in and have him put down… The next morning, my mom spent like an hour telling me how dissappointed she was in me for not finishing cleaning and “You had ALL DAY to clean, and you didn’t do it?? I guess we can’t trust you to do anything!” and she pretty much told me my life’s not gonna amount to anything and I’m a loser and she never imagined her child would turn out this way. Then she took away my laptop and iPod “Indefinitely,” meaning I’m probably not gonna get them back for a long time. They also took away the thing on the TV we watch Netflix on, put passwords on their computers, and told me my phone and my car could be next. (haha, they don’t seem to remember my OTHER laptop that I’m on right now XDD) I spent most of yesterday crying. My boyfriend called me and talked for like 5 minutes, which was great because I really just needed to cry to him for a few. I feel bad for maybe stressing him out but I really need his support.

Some major things that have happened:
