Hey everyone! I hope springtime is treating you all well. I'm in the process of putting together a price sheet for my spring themed commissions and I need a little help. I need to make an example for my $25 full body, full color commissions, but I'm a little dry on ideas. Soooo, this is where you guys come in.
All you have to do is post a ref of your character and a link to a journal posted back to this one to help get the word out. I will then chose who's character I like best and sparks my creativity for these spring commissions. I will chose the winner on Friday, April 26th (that's 2 days from now) at 6:30 PM US Eastern time. The winner will receive their picture and I will be posting my price guide week after next.

I had a discussion today with one of my classmates that really made me realize some things about my art. I feel like I've improved a good bit in the last 2 1/2 years, but I know that I'm nowhere near where I would like to be with it. So does anybody have any recent critiques/ suggestions for me? Maybe things that you would like to see more of? I could really use some feedback in general.

Will be opening up very soon! I'm not sure exactly when yet, I still need to finish up  goonandthegallows's trade and catch up on some school work for now, but just keep an eye out for that commission special flyer to pop in my gallery in the next week or two! I'm totally thinking about trying out roller derby this summer. I may be tiny but I can kick some ass if I work hard enough at it! (I hope X3)

Hey everyone! Just letting you all that I am going home for some r&r and to get my cavity ridden teeth filled and my hair cut, so I will be away from the interwebs until Saturday evening. Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been very active lately, school has been eating my liifffee. I'm starting to realize that it might have been a terrible idea to take on such a heavy work load this semester, but its too late to turn back now, so I guess I just have to take this opportunity to prove that i can swim rather than sink in tricky situations like this. This is the semester that I truly learn to time manage.
This is also the semester that I start really looking at careers and figure out just what the hell I'm going to do with the rest of my life. Graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2 years doesn't guarantee me anything by any means. I'm going to have to work hard and do some research in order to find a way to use it. I've been looking at some grad schools, but I've also been looking into the possibility of entry level jobs in creative industries. We had a guest speaker this week that graduated from my degree program and used it to go into video production. It made me realize that that is 100% NOT what I want to do with my life. However it did get me thinking about what I DO want to do. I'm really interested in 3D animation right now and am thinking about starting to hone my skills in that area. We'll see where it goes though.

As for commissions and personal art goes, i'm trying to squeeze in what I can when I can. I've had some really great ideas for personal art that i'd really like to explore once I'm done with the RRVF commission. I also am highly considering taking part in the art show at anthrocon this year. Has anyone done the art show/ know much about participating in it?

And going back to the  redrivervallyfurs commission, here is the progress on that. I will try to update this as I work on it to keep you guys updated. I am so so sorry that it has taken longer than planned, but I will truly do the absolute best I can to get it done asap.

Hey everyone!
School started back up for me yesterday, and it's looking like this is going to be my busiest and most stressful semester I've ever taken. It's really my own fault though, I'm behind credit wise and I would really like to graduate within 5 years max. I also got a new job with  zraya because I need moneys and I was really getting tired of being a cashier at walmart. Now I'm working at one of the school's dining halls, which works out pretty well because I get free food (the best kind!).
But back to classes. This semester I am taking another printmaking class (intaglio), ceramics (which i've never done before, so we'll see how this turns out), I'm starting classes in my electronic media concentration (which includes a beginning 3D animation class which i'm pretty pumped about), and I'm also taking 2 very writing intensive art history classes (art theory and Baroque). So to say the least I have a pretty full schedule set out for me. As for personal art though, I am going to have to admit that I won't have as much time for that or many commissions for the time being.
If you are one of the people waiting for the  redrivervallyfurs picture, don't worry, I'm still working on it! (Albeit at a slower pace). I am working on coloring  dumarsi's character now, and estimate that I should have the full picture done somewhere around Monday, January 28th.
And  goonandthegallows is awesome and finished her end of our trade, so my end is on the project list right after the RRVF pic.
Also, I made the beautiful discovery this semester that the library keeps most textbooks on reserve, so I'm not going to buy any books this year. That shit is expensive, and I just bought $100 in printmaking paper.

I figured that 2012 deserves a proper sendoff, seeing as its been a pretty good year.
Let's see....
I took a bunch of art classes and learned how to properly draw naked people. I made lots of art, I threw away lots of art, and I even managed to lose lots of art. I went to Disney World again, went to Anthrocon again, and visited home alot more often than i have in the last 2 years. I worked a bunch of shitty jobs (FYE, Bookholders, Walmart). I officially moved in to my first apartment and started buying real groceries (and cut down on delivery costs). I made new friends (mostly you  zraya). I learned how to oil paint, I learned how NOT to do lithography, and I learned that french history consists of a little bit more than just a bunch of Louis (although that is a large portion of it XD). I learned how to cook a little bit with  xtrasis, made  gwyvern late for class more than once, doodled and watched a lot of cute animal videos with  touchofsnow, and spent another fun filled and wonderful year with  tozame.
Oh yeah, and I survived the apocalypse, can't forget that one XD.
Here's to 2013, hoping it is just as great as this year was!

I'm going home for Christmas tomorrow! I'm really excited to get to spend some time with my family :3. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday yourselves and I'll talk to you all in a week or so!
