Been a bit of a rollercoaster for me the last year. Hoping the next full year ends up a bit better than the one prior.

Windows 10x64, Multi-monitor, Wacom Intuos Pro L. Was having issues where the wacom drivers wouldn't respect my settings where I was telling it to lock the cursor to a single monitor, but only while I had SAI in focus. Tried messing with the misc.ini for SAI - no luck, just got it to show the symptom differently.

Uninstalled Wacom Drivers - Reboot - Reboot again - Install Wacom Drivers. Reboot... Switched reversed order of monitor cables...

Suddenly no tracking issues for my wacom after assigning it to only run on one monitor where as it was splitting the cursor and stylus position cursors in SAI just minutes prior and no other program was having an issue with it... I get that SAI is an older program and likely doesn't have a bunch of redundant code to keep issues like this from happening - but man this is just silly.

Can't wait for SAI 2. At least I got SAI fixed so its an option for me to use again (seeing as tons of my old art is from SAI)

Been wondering if there's any way to tie in a feature that simply watches Picarto.tv API or even just waits for input from me on FA to notify it that I'm starting a stream so it'll automatically post a template image/description with information and then idly monitor the API from Picarto so that it can auto-delete the stream submission notifier when I go offline. (something tedious I hate having to go do after each stream for the sake of tidiness and making sure people don't waste time looking for an offline stream)

This became a curiosity because originally I just wanted to embed this status notifier on my profile:

But then carrying the thought further, I'd really like to see some way to help make stream notification a stronger feature on FA in general since streaming is, I feel, a significant part of our art community these days.

Half of the last year had a pretty heavy shadow hanging over it honestly - anxiety there obviously - but generally the year went by reasonably peacefully.

In case you used to love swapnote, you should go look for swapdoodle in the new releases!

It's basically swapnote put back out by nintendo with all of it's original functionality and `opt-in` rather than being available by default like the old software is.

They just got done moving cross country and are taking on some sketch work till things stabilize.

Went through and revised my gallery.
Sorted most of my openCanvas and shitposts to the scraps while keeping mostly my more finished works in the actual gallery.
Anything that lacked merits or sentiment in some capacity was deleted.

I'll try to keep any future posts a bit more tidy in folders.

Started playing when it launched and I'm really enjoying it a lot. Fully cleared all the current content.
Been playing as Onion Knight Job (randomly pulled mage and then frustratedly saved up to pull another job afterward and got warrior). Been dumping all my progress into Onion Knight using Warrior's Flamberge for the extra attack per turn and it's kicking ass. Now I'm a "Dark Onion" with 5 attacks per turn.

The new event they're doing has really given me a great chance to fully fuse all of my mob dropped ability cards too, so my ability to get full credit for fighting is way better.
Meanwhile, I've spend 0 dollars on the game and can still get 1usd worth of currency per day by clicking a collect button.

Chat me up if you want to talk about the game. It's pretty awesome.

What's to say...

Glad to see that a majority of the posts are more to the effect of artists doing a healthy amount of `spreading out the points of social contact` more than loudly flailing that they're leaving the site at least.

Some of the features on other sites are neat... but none of them (still to this day) offer proper, highly functional migration tools with which to support a proper exodus. (Instead, they just announce that they're `not competing` which is clearly a joke considering the sites are in direct competition functionality-wise)
How about that lag on Weasyl while FA was down? Nothing like having to wait 5-10 seconds for a page to render/resolve.
Pretty as it may be at times it needs to handle these two issues just as badly now as it did at launch.

If anybody cares to add me, I've been using it pretty regularly for a while now.

Discord seems to be taking over as a Skype replacement a bit more readily than Telegram (because Telegram is really only for people who have cell phones - which is more of a text message replacement tool)
...whereas Discord seems a bit better for building private communities and replacing desired functionality of Ventrilo/Mumble/Teamspeak+Visual Chat functionality in addition to actually supporting a proper friends list finally while not requiring the user to have a phone.

Both programs are quite lovely for multi-platform distribution, and I'll be using both, but one of them is pretty directly tied to my phone and I'm not big on text messaging and having my phone give notifications constantly in general.
