First day on HRT
Posted 4 months agoI’ve made a few journals here before about my gender identity. A lot of rambling posts on my other socials, too. Those that have been here a while might remember how I had a lot of struggles last April. I eventually settled on calling myself genderfluid, then I came out as trans, but quickly changed my mind. It didn’t feel right. It was scary. It still is. But eventually, it became clear to me that trans was right. For a good 6-8 months now, I’ve felt very strongly that I am meant to be a woman.
Today was my first day on HRT. One thing that gives me a little solace through these shitty times is that I’m finally making progress towards becoming the person I want to be. It just feels good. It took a lot of depression, a lot of tears cried to reach this point. But I’m glad I’m here now.

Keep an eye out for a new story!
Posted 6 months agoI just finished up a story that I’m gonna upload here whenever I can. I’m sure there’s gonna be an absolute sea of uploads once they reenable them, and the story will probably get lost in the mix a bit. So hopefully you can keep your eyes peeled if you’re interested!
Springbokkx Wrapped 2024
Posted 10 months agoThought it'd be fun to do a little year-in-review thing. The data nerd in me really enjoys this type of stuff. Also, pardon the weird formatting here on FA. I wrote it first on DeviantArt, and just tried to adapt the formatting for here.
First, let's look at the total number of stories and compare them to last year.
In 2024, I published 26 stories. Not counting the "Weekly Weigh-In" series (which I gave up on in mid-March lol), I published 15 full stories.
Of these, 18 ended up on DeviantArt (which you should check out, by the way!) 11 of those were Weekly Weigh-Ins, meaning there were only 7 full stories on DeviantArt this year.
The remaining 8 stories ended up here on FurAffinity.
For comparison, in 2023, I published 25 stories. None of them were Weekly Weigh-Ins, thus I consider them to all be full stories. However, some of them are rather short, as it took me a while to settle into my current preferred level of detail.
The key thing to note is that in 2023, I didn't start uploading until the end of May. That means, even with a 5 month head start, I only published one additional story this year compared to the previous one!
Did my output really slow down that much? Well, it depends on how you look at it!
In 2023, I published a total of 110,231 words across those 25 stories, for an average of 4,409.24 words per story.
In 2024, I published 156,237 words across 26 stories, for an average of 6,009.1154-ish words per story!
And, if you exclude the Weekly Weigh-Ins, I published 143,978 words across 15 stories, averaging a whopping 9,598.533-ish words per story!
So there, my output was actually quite a bit higher this year, thanks to the fact that my stories are longer and more detailed than ever.
Last year, only one of my stories was over 10,000 words: Rita & Flynt: Trip to the Beach (which, by the way, is still one of my favorites I've ever written)
This year, I had six stories go over 10,000 words, with two of them breaking the 20,000 word mark!
Okay, okay, my output was higher this year, but that's because I was writing stories for the entire year! I didn't start until May last year.
In 2023, I published stories in 8 months out of the year, so I averaged 13,778.875 words per month.
This year, I averaged 13,019.75 per month. So technically, my output was a little bit lower this year. But I will say, I think the quality of my stories this year is, on average, quite a bit higher than last year! I think I continue to improve as a writer.
Okay, final thing I wanna talk about is commissions. This was my first year doing work on commission, and it's been an absolute blast! I've met some cool people and have been given so many amazing, creative ideas that I would've never come up with on my own! At the same time, I think my favorite part is working with the commissioner, developing ideas, and putting my own twist on their concepts to create the best story possible. One thing's for sure: I'm not stopping commissions any time soon!
This year, 12 stories were done by commission; 7 on DeviantArt and 5 here on FurAffinity.
One story, Heat of Passion, was a trade, while the remaining non-commissioned stories were just done for my own personal enjoyment.
And for anyone curious, I made $1,446.00 from my commissions this year. Really not bad! I'm eternally grateful for all the amazing people willing to shell out money for my writing.
That $1446 was in exchange for 132,550 words of writing. My prices started at $10 per 1,000 words, then bumped up to $20 per 1,000, which applied to my last two commissions of the year. So that more or less checks out to me.
Anyways, I just wanna say thanks again to everyone who reads and enjoys my work. It really wouldn't be the same without you. I didn't set out to build an audience and be popular, I just wanted a creative outlet. But now that I do have a good-sized audience here (and over 1,600 on DeviantArt, which is nuts!), I realize just how much more meaningful it is to share my writing with people and to know that others enjoy it.
2024 has had its ups and downs, but it was certainly a good year of writing for me! Here's to many more stories to come in 2025!

Moving From Twitter to BlueSky
Posted 12 months agoI’m sure most of you are just here for the stories and commissioned art (working on a really, really big story right now that’ll end up on DeviantArt BTW), but if you’re interested in following me on other social media, check me out here on BlueSky. I’m officially moving off of Twitter since, well, everything that’s happened there in the last year or two or however goddamn long it’s been since that pathetic manchild billionaire bought it. Fuck that guy.
Anyways, yeah, follow me on BlueSky if you wanna chat, if you wanna see me repost the same furry porn I post here, and/or if you just wanna hear my inane ramblings. Hope to see you there!

RIP Dragoneer
Posted a year agoI never knew him personally, but I think it’s safe to say his work has impacted me and this fandom immeasurably. This site isn’t perfect, but it’s honestly the best place for sharing art that I can think of. The notification system makes it so you never miss a single piece from a single artist, which I really appreciate. No algorithm bullshit like Twitter has. Not to mention galleries and folders make perusing an artist’s work a hell of a lot easier than Twitter’s media tab.
Not only that, I’ve honestly always kinda liked the unpolished sort of jankiness of this site. As a software engineer with minimal frontend skills, I think if I tried to make a website like this, it’d look pretty similar. I respect it a lot.
So rest in peace, Dragoneer. Your work will be appreciated for years to come, I hope.
With that said. I know the future of this site is sort of up in the air. If you want to follow me elsewhere, you’ll find me on:
- Twitter (as much as I just shit-talked it, it’s the place I’m most active)
- BlueSky
- DeviantArt (where I’ll put all my stories if this site does unfortunately go under)
I hope everything works out. I don’t want to leave this place.

I figured it out
Posted a year agoLately, I’ve been feeling really dysphoric. But I think I finally figured it out. I’ve been so caught up in the stress of choosing between man or woman, when… I can choose both. And neither. I’m genderfluid. And it feels so good to come to that realization and say it out loud.
It’s like a massive, crushing weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Like a piercing pain in my head has finally been relieved.
I am man, I am woman, I am everything, I am nothing. Just depends on how I feel.

Looking for an artist?
Posted a year agoCheck out my friend
DiabloH! She’s really talented, works fast, and has very fair prices. I absolutely cannot recommend her enough!
Even if you’re not looking to commission, you should check her art out and give her a watch!

Commissions closed
Posted a year agoI’ve been absolutely blessed to have received so much interest in my writing! I’m closing my comms, honestly probably until the summer!
If you’re interested in a story, shoot me a message. I’ll let you know when my comms reopen!
I really can’t thank everyone out there enough!

100 watchers
Posted 2 years agoI just realized I reached 100 watchers! 101, in fact! Wow, that’s so cool! If you’re here for the art I commission, then I’m glad you like my characters! If you’re here for the stories I write, then I really appreciate you. And if you like both, then even better!
Anyways, thanks again to everyone who watches, and especially everyone who faves and leaves comments. I always try to respond to comments, it always brightens my day to see what people have to say about my stories or the art I’ve commissioned!

Folders Updated!
Posted 2 years agoHi all!
I just updated the organization of all my folders. Stuff should be way better organized now. Should be easy to find stuff by character or by sequence.
I thought about adding more folders for specific kinks, but right now the only kink represented in significant quantity is WG. There will be more incest-focused stuff in the future, so maybe I'll add separate folders for kinks eventually. What do you think?

Character Bios & Retrospring
Posted 2 years agoHi all! I just added some biographical/backstory and personality information for all my characters! Check it out if you’re interested:
• Clarissa
• Adrianna
• James
Also, you can ask questions to my OCs at my Retrospring! I’ll try my best to answer in character. This will help me work out more aspects of the personality, backstory, and voice. So if you have questions or just anything you’d like to know, ask it there! If you have questions for me for whatever reason, I’ll answer those too. Just let me know who the question is aimed at! Thanks!
Oh yeah, and I guess this is my first journal. If we haven’t already acquainted ourselves, I’m Springbokkx! I write smut and I have these characters that I commission a little too much art of. You’re probably here for the art, but if you enjoy my stories, just know that I really appreciate that. Anyways, if you actually read all this, thanks! And thanks for watching, it really does mean a lot to me that anyone appreciates what I do on the internet.
