60USD Paint Sketches
Posted a year agoI'm working on some bigger projects and there are plenty of warmup slots.
Usually headshot paintsketches to be completed within a couple days.
Queue is tracked in Trello, but I can do them quickly enough that there's usually no waiting list.

Friday Funtime Free Art
Posted a year agoHello Friend,
As you might have noticed, I've been clearing some big projects out of my queue. I currently have one more digital painting and one big traditional media painting left to do, and the rest is wedding gifts. (All of my friends got married in the span of a few years and I'm a bit behind.)
Price changes are up and I've applied to a couple cons.
In the meantime, I'd like to introduce the Friday Funtime Art Request Stream, which takes place every Friday from 8pm to 10pm MST, during which you can get some free sketches! Eventually, when I figure out how to operate the Twitch, I'd like to do the thing where viewers can use currency to extend the stream time to allow for EVEN MORE sketches, but for the two hours currently allotted, expect maybe 3-4 of them.

Hope to see you there!

2024 Social Media Updates
Posted a year agoHello friends,
For reasons, I plan to produce a bit more art this year than previously and stream more than previously.
Big upload and updated price list is coming. I haven't figure out exactly how my life works now yet, but I'll get a stream schedule going as soon as I have more information about the overlap between times when I am able to work and times when other people would most enjoy watching.
Here are some other places that you can find me. I have basically no sleep schedule and I am always up for a random chat, so feel free to message me any time, even if you're not looking to do business.

2023 Social Media Updates
Posted 2 years agoHello.
With the implosion of Twitter, I finally got my act together and created an interlinked social media presence. Here is a link to Carrd, which has a hub link to a little online store and my brand new Trello, where I will be keeping the public commission queue instead of in the profile of my FA.
I think I just about have everything set up and you may have noticed that I'm in the middle of a massive upload. (I somehow forgot about all the traditional media badges from the last three cons because I didn't have an easy way to move them from my phone to my computer for uploads.)
I don't have all of my for sale items posted yet, and the Kofi gallery is thus far completely empty, but hopefully you'll see it fill up over the next week or so, and then I'll drop off the face of the internet again until October because of tax season.
Significant Events in 2023
a) I got a puppy.
b) I got a gouache set and it's crappy paint, but it's so much better for my purposes than watercolor.
c) I got a standing desk and monitor arms to move my tax workstation out of my bedroom, so I have a workspace for art again.
Thank you for sticking with me all these years.
If you'd like to find me elsewhere on the internet, try some of these places! I am DM friendly and always up for a chat even if you aren't a client.

[CON] AWU and Denfur
Posted 3 years agoHello friends.
I just got back from Anthro Weekend Utah. It was huge! Numbers jumped from 900 at the last con in 2019 to 1400 this year! I sold out of a lot of prints and made a couple dolls that also found homes. (Uploads will be trickling in over the next week or so.) I was down to my very last business card on Saturday, and for the most part, people were very polite and took photos of it; then on Sunday morning a small child took the last card and was shooed away by a parent before I could ask for it back. so.... good story.
Pocker's Art Box was very active this year and I'm happy to see the operation continue to grow. I hosted the sparkledog panel, but I forgot to submit my Tax panel. Whoops!
It was fantastic to see everyone again after two long years and I hope to see and talk to all of you many more times in the future.
Unfortunately, I also caught COVID. I was sniffly on Wednesday night and Thursday while we were on route, but tested negative. Nothing for Friday and Saturday, coughing and a positive test on Sunday. I think I either caught it on public transit in Denver and brought it to AWU or I caught it on Thursday and didn't show symptoms until Sunday. I was wearing a mask in con spaces, and so far all my con roomies are still testing negative, so I don't think I passed it on to anyone else. Thank the holy aeons.
I'll be at Denfur in a couple weeks, in the vendor area selling things, and hosting the tax panel again. I have lots of new prints, two fursuit partials, and possibly some stickers and I hope to see you there!

[STATUS] Projects in Progress
Posted 3 years agoHello friends,
I hope you had an excellent pride month. I went to my local pride fest with a friend, dressed like a punk, and suffered only minimal sunburn.
I'm taking this week as PTO to catch up on some art, and also because my employer has implemented a new use it or lose it type policy, so I might as well.
Somehow, instead of doing the cleaning I was supposed to do, I ended up moving furniture. I uncovered three fairly large dead spiders and accidentally smashed a glass tabletop. (I trashed the big pieces, but I've saved some smaller evenly shaped plates to sand down and use as an art material. Maybe I can mount sculptures on them or something.) It is abundantly clear that as a 100lb adult, nothing is designed for my use. I had to use a weight bar and a kettle bell as a lever to move some equipment around. I maybe gouged the floor a little bit, but ehh, that's the cost of being a weenie. Whichever engineer designed this item put it within a reasonable weight limit for normal people to operate.
I'll be riding my pony in the mornings and working on art in the evenings. I'll be doing mainly non-digital work, so we'll see if I can figure out how to stream on Twitch.
Bond Dogs - digital painting. It's about halfway done. Hoping to finish it and order a large print in time for AWU
Crow Plushies - made from old socks. Metallic eyes. Should only take a few hours. All supplies acquired.
Pony Dolls - I got the mold maker and the sculpley yesterday. I'm going to cast the feet and ears, and a default head for premade dolls, but in the future I'll continue to sculpt individualized heads for custom dolls. I want to do one for my little pony and I might as well do the trainer's birthday gift due in August too.
Fursuit Repairs - Tica's sloth head and Pocker's pine marten have both come back to me for refurb and sale. I'll also be doing some repairs to my own suit, including new paws, resetting the jaws, and trying to patch the cracked base back together and finally doing the fluffy neck piece. I hope to be able to wear it at AWU, but it's lower priority than any of the other projects.
I'm getting back into art this year. After taking two years off and not actually using the extra time to produce personal work, I don't know that it's a good strategy. I did learn a lot, but instead of picking up anything productive I just sat around and fixated on weird research holes. New price list has been up for a while and new projects are coming up!
Hope to see you around!
Update:
So.... trying to renew my vehicle registration has taken up three full days and will stretch into next week, possibly longer. Silly me, thinking there would be time for art.

[STATUS] Welcome 2022
Posted 3 years agoHonestly, it still feels like it should be March 640, 2020.
I am open for painting commissions again and I have a couple sewing projects coming up that could include fursuit parts.
I've had some time to settle into my new art rig and learn how it works. I now use exclusively the gouache brush and my style looks a lot rougher than before because the sensitivity of the surface tablet is different than the old bamboo. I think a lot of the problem comes from pen jitter as it hovers over the screen surface because it's also trying to react to my hand. I'll get a drawing glove and see if that helps, but for now, art looks a bit different and I don't dislike it.
Hopefully, tax season will be back to normal. We're in the second week of January and work has already spiked up to 50 hours, so no promises.
Prices will probably be staying the same for 2022, but I've had some good technique breakthroughs and I'm anticipating an increase for 2023, so get in while you can.
Telegram Stickers have also been added to the secret menu for $10 each.
Happy New Year!

[STATUS] 2020 is a Disaster
Posted 5 years agoHello.
I've just come off tax season because the deadline was extended to 7/15 this year. In about 5 days, I'm about to go right back into the regular extension season for business deadline of 9/15 and individual deadline of 10/15.
I just finished my yearly file migration today. It's supposed to be done by the first week of May. I had to remove a 1.5 meter tall series of weeds from my yard because they got an extra few months to grow.
I did finally get a new drawing setup that doesn't require a desk, so that I'll actually be able to do art things on the computer. The work laptop is currently occupying the station normally used by my personal laptop, but the battery is broken, so the personal laptop can't be unplugged for more than about 5 seconds. Broken battery laptop is now being used for admin work, like posting on FA, while the new machine is exclusively for art. I still can't stream because the computer can't handle it, but at least I've been able to get in some quick doodling to test the new setup.
All of the things that I thought I was going to finally get done this year; yeah, those aren't happening. Try again next year.

[CON] AWU 2019 Aftermath
Posted 6 years agoOver the past year I've been debating not going to cons anymore in order to reduce the number of stressful upheaval events in my life, but AWU is definitely one that I'll be back for!
Tica was the highlight of the con! Not just for me, as my table buddy and travel navigator, but also for everyone else as a fursuiter. I'll miss her at future cons and I wish her health and happiness in the far-away land of Hawaii, where traveling to cons in the continental US will be prohibitively expensive for her.
Kreoche, in addition to the best fursuit handler I have ever encountered, has started Pocker's Art Box, an art tool lending library, in addition to debuting his new Pine Marten partial. It was finished at 4am the morning of our 9 hour drive into Utah. The neck still needs some adjustments so that it will interact with his shirt in the way I intended, but it's wearable and it looks great!
As I keep saying every year, my suit is close to being retired and has a giant crack in the nose, but I still managed to wander out onto the dance floor with Tica.
I also got to talk to fellow dealers and found more horse-people.
AWU treats its dealers very generously. Each table is provided with a care package, the registration process is streamlined, and Nova takes time to listen to our concerns and suggestions. I appreciate the way things are run and I highly recommend this convention.
_______________
ART STATUS GOING FORWARD
_______________
While commissions are extremely motivating and bringing someone's fursona to life is something that I really enjoy, I like the idea of transitioning out of commission work and moving mainly to prints. I want to really push my skill by doing large environment illustrations, but those can be really expensive, and its hard to work around someone else's character design to create a really integrated and well composed piece.
Also, I've been planning the Holy Dark as a 30 page comic for the past 5 years. Literally, since 2014. If I keep putting all my time into commissions, it's never going to get done.
My next project is going to be a rug, because I need a rug and I'm scrapping a bunch of old clothes that are too ragged to wear in public while maintaining my professional image. After that, expect to see a new cast of a feline mask. I'd also like to explore making art dolls to use up the faux fur I have in inventory and maybe do something with the cat skull I picked up off the road.
I am not looking forward to rehydrating my giant mound of clay. The last time I took it out was 2015. It's basically a rock by now.

I'm thinking of using the next batch to make sticker blind bags instead. Stickers or keychains, what do you think?

[CON] BLEEPING BRENDA
Posted 6 years agoBRENDA
You bleeping bleep! I hope you bleep a bleeping bleep bleep bleep!
Hi! I'm back from Wild Nights.
Brenda is the GPS. She has the personality and aptitude of an incompetent secretary. We somehow ended up in Sedan, KS. Here are some rural town names.
Rentiesville
Bartlesville
Kreb
Canadian
Kanarado -> It's between Kansas and Colorado.
GENERAL RECAP
This year was not great compared to past years.
Tica and I drove down early because I have become dazed and confused. I am convinced that this used to be a 4 day con despite all evidence to the contrary. Why do I have this impression? I have gone crazy.
It was nice to see everyone again. Many regulars didn't show up this year, but I'm always happy to talk to the people who do, and there were lots of new faces to befriend. Sorry I'm not good at maintaining conversations over the internet. I really look forward to catching up with you.
This year's theme was excellent! There were banners and themed decorations and theme relevant panels. Panpan provided an excellent solution to displacement during the super sponsor dinner and the drag show was great!
I am not sure that the new parking ordinance is being correctly enforced, but I appreciate that staff are attempting to do something about the space problem. There's not an effective way to differentiate between people camping in their cars and people just parking.
Nobody walked in on me showering this year! Instead, it happened to someone else.
The best part of Wild Nights this year was Glitter Corner Sticker Trade, in which four artists exchanged tiny art to be turned into one-of-a-kind stickers! It was a bit late, so we might not have been able to photograph them, but I will do my best to post the stickers that I received in the trade once they have found their new homes.
Someone's aggressive dog was running around by itself, off-leash, at night, harassing me for trying to get things out of my own car. Not cool.
NON-CONSENSUAL TOUCHING
While we're discussing things that are not cool, DO NOT TOUCH PEOPLE WITHOUT PERMISSION. This is a thing that has happened to a bunch of artists in particular and people in general. Do not hug them. Do not boop them. Do not pick them up. Do not tickle attack. Do not shoot unsuspecting bystanders with a nerf gun. Do not pull someone onto your lap. If the other party pulls away, let go. This is especially important for vendors because we can't leave our tables. We do not have the ability to exit the situation.
We're all obligated to not get violent. That means that we all need to respect other people's physical space, so that nobody has to escalate into self defense. Please, behave politely. It's perfectly possible to flirt without resorting to non-consensual grabbing and if you can't do it, maybe you need to up your flirt game.
Here is a chart of places that I am okay with being touched: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19862762/
I extend general consent to be grabbed or touched in the blue areas only. Other people may not be. If you don't know, don't do it, or do it very slowly and gently so the other person has plenty of time to react or say no.
LIFTING
I like to be picked up, but YOU NEED TO ASK. I may only be 43kg, but I am shaped like a person, not a barbell. Unless you are a trained dancer or figure skater (in which case, you already know this) you don't necessarily know how to safely do a lift. If you surprise me and my limbs flop all over the place it could seriously injure both of us. You're a trained martial artist who can do throws? Good for you! Don't pick me up. I'm still going to get hurt even if you don't.
Step 1: Open your arms. Invite the hug! I will hug you.
Step 2: While hugging say "Can I pick you up?"
Step 3: I will say yes (probably). Bend your knees. Move your hands to my waist or my ribs or my butt or however you prefer to do the lift.
Step 4: I will jump and brace onto your shoulders. All you have to do is guide the momentum and take up my weight as you stand up. In most cases, I'm capable of supporting myself and you can spin around or do whatever you want to do. You do not need to pull me onto your chest, because that is how you wrench your back and also lose your balance.
Step 5: We're not doing overhead lifts without practicing on a mat first.
You bleeping bleep! I hope you bleep a bleeping bleep bleep bleep!

GENERAL RECAP
This year was not great compared to past years.

[STATUS] Post Tax Season 2019
Posted 6 years agoHi! I'm back!
There are a few doodles that need cleanup before posting and That last portrait commission is well under way.
Next week is Wild Nights, so I'll be prepping for that.
I'm still taking at-con commissions, but no more digital and no more take home. Aside from the one piece to be finished this week, I'd like to take some personal time to work on long standing projects.
Summer Work List
1) Jin Portrait URGENT
2) Pine Marten Partial for Kreoche
3) Tica Gift Owed from 2017
4) Black Werewolf Painting
5) Quadsuit Underbuild
6) Holy Dark 30ish page Comic
Thinking about skipping Wild Nights next year to go on the Sombrero Horse Drive. We'll see.

[STATUS] TAX SEASON 2019
Posted 6 years agoHello,
It's currently tax season, the time of year when I drop off the face of the internet for four months because I'm working 60+ hours per week at FirstJob.
This is your yearly reminder to file and your yearly notification that I will be on hiatus until April 16th (The 15th is a government holiday this year.) I still try to check in on FA on my phone, but will not be able to answer notes or do art.
If you made more than $400 (after expenses) in income from art, you must file a 1040 and you will owe Self Employment Tax. SE tax is calculated separately from income tax and cannot be eliminated with deductions or non-refundable credits. Your parents cannot claim your income on their return. You must file it yourself. If that income was in cash and you think it is untraceable, know that the amount that you earned can be calculated from the amount that you spent and the amounts that are in your bank account, and the burden of proof is on you once they've come up with something.
If you sold at a convention and paid sales that, first, that is not the same thing as income tax, and second, the government definitely knows you made that money, so please report it. Don't play dice with the IRS.
If you made retail sales within your state, you may owe sales tax to your state.
If you made retail sales outside of your state, you may owe sales tax to that state, but the convention probably took care of it.
If you made sales online, the buyer is supposed to pay use tax. You do not owe sales tax.
If you paid a contract worker more than $600 during the year to do labor associated with your business, you must issue a 1099MISC. If that person gets hit with an audit, you will be penalized for not issuing the appropriate document.
You cannot deduct the entire cost of a new computer for art. You must estimate business use percentage based on real numbers, like the number of hours per day that you work verses the total time that you use the computer. Also, you should probably capitalize it, but the de minimis threshold for Section 169 bonus is currently 100% up to $5000, so it probably won't make a different.
You can deduct the entire cost of a new tablet or art supplies, because they can't be used for any purpose except to make art. (Assuming you produce enough commissions that you could feasibly argue in court that your art is profit motivated.)
The standard mileage for 2018 is 54.5 cents. If you take this deduction, you cannot also deduct gas. Only the owner of the car may take the deduction. You cannot deduct commuter miles.
The simplified home office deduction is still $5/sqft up to 300 sqft.
Spotify, Netflix, or other entertainment is not a deductible business expense even if you use it while working.
As of 2018, entertainment expenses are no longer deductible, even if they were for client meetings.
The health insurance mandate is still in effect for 2018 returns due April 2019.
Extensions are an extension of time to file, not extension of time to pay. You must pay in the amount you think you owe, even if you don't file.
Artists! Make sure you pick up the new QBI deduction! You get a 20% deduction on all income from a trade or business (that is not the trade or business of being an employee) if you made less than $157k.
(This is verifiable general information, not tax advice. None of the above should be used for the purpose of tax evasion. Applies only to United States.)

[STATUS] Artwork Being Reinstated

Parents went back to China.
Mostly put the things away in the new place.
That beast is moving to a new barn at noon tomorrow. (If he gets in the trailer. If he doesn't I will bleeping ride him over through traffic because I am not putting up with any more of his bleeping shenanigans.)
First on the schedule is still Kanashio.
Queue has been posted.
Streaming is still impossible due to the windows update interference with tablet mapping
Due to life changes, I will be closed for all large projects indefinitely. *

[Personal] Life Updates
Posted 7 years agoAt the beginning of July, I got laid off and replaced with a seasonal temp. I found another, better, job, with bigger, scarier, numbers within the month. While I like the new place much better, my daily commute has increased from roughly 30 minutes to about three hours, two of which are spent sitting on the train. I now have very little time to do anything during the week. I do all of the cooking and wash dishes on one day during the weekend. Breakfast is eaten at the station while waiting for the train. Dinner is brought with me to work, then heated up at the office and eaten while walking to the station. The Beast gets ridden once a week at best and is misbehaving accordingly.
As far as existing commissions, this means very little, except that I will delivering at the stated deadlines, instead of a few weeks early, like I usually do.
1) Seeking recommendations for a mobile tablet setup that I can use to work while on the train.
2) I went to the store for drugs and came home with a sticker machine. I may be opening commuter commissions for tiny stickers, to be completed on the train.
3) In light of recent life events, I may be moving to an area that will dramatically reduce my commute. However, this means I will be moving, in Colorado, in winter. If I do not move, I will have to sell that Beast.
4) It is currently Extension Season at Firstjob, which means I am working weekends. I may not be available until after October 18.
5) I've prepared the at-con things for upload, so you should continue to see new art trickling in.
6) Queue has been moved back to profile, where it's more visible.

[CON WRAP UP] AWU 2018 and DenFur 2018
Posted 7 years agoAnthro Weekend Utah 2018
Transport: Drove with
kreoche and
Tica. First, the mountains are beautiful. Second, I cannot see very well and I have no depth perception. Driving is very dangerous, even more so when there are a lot of changes in speed and no horizon, because I can't tell when they are happening. Third, Highway 6 was closed due to being on fire.
We drove out from Colorado on Thursday, stayed with
WrathofAutumn, then piled 4 people, 2 dealer setups, and 2 fursuits into my tiny hybrid compact to go to the con on Friday morning. It took some luggage tetris, but we managed. Once I get my and Kroche's new suits finished, we may need to consider alternate arrangements, as we will not be able to fit four fursuits into the car.
On the way back, we routed through Wyoming because fire. I did not find any novel candy on this trip, but I did take some pictures at a rest stop.
Hotel: The suites are basically two rooms joined together, one with two beds and one with a single pull out bed, each with a separate bathroom and other amenities. We could, in theory, comfortably fit eight people into a single room, as most cons have hotel rooms half the size, designed to house four. (So heeeey, if you're thinking of going to AWU next year, PM me. Maybe we can arrange to stay a bit longer)
Dealers Den: AWU IS INCREDIBLE!! Everything was labeled and on time. They gave us little care packages. The den setup was thoughtfully arranged with no blind corners. Staff were clearly marked with colored shirts. The tax packages were correctly put together with a security measure to keep us and other people from stealing social security numbers. AWU has been the best con I've ever dealt at, and I will definitely be making the trip back.
Extras:
I got to catch up with
alphasempaiwolviesix, who says it's her last con, but we're working on fixing that. There was also a Pokemon Go community day, in which Kreoche totally carried the day as the only Level 40 trainer in a raid. They couldn't have done it without him. (We know this definitively because they tried and failed before he arrived on the scene.)
I also appreciate that AWU has an all night Art Jam every evening beginning right after dealer hours. Instead of a separate event, it's a space set aside for (let's be frank here) dealer homework and anyone who wants to join. Most of us are happy to do some hands on teaching, so come keep us company as we work!
DenFUR 2018
Transport:
Tica and I carpooled. This is a local con, so we commuted every morning. We were originally going to have everyone stay at my home so we could all leave together, but due to schedule variations and also because we kept having to stop by Tica's home to fetch forgotten articles, we might as well not have.
Hotel: DenFur was held in the same hotel as RMFC in the past. The venue is very nice. There is that long and winding hallway, but the dealer area and the dance are enough of a draw that there was a pretty good flow of traffic coming through. I wandered out during setup to fill my paint-water, and there was a huge line of people waiting to go in. On the plus side, parking was free and easily accessible.
Dealers Den: NOT GOOD
First, they still owe us a refund for an Artist Alley payment. (Due to a software limitation, I ended up paying full price for a dealer table on top of what we already paid in.) Both
Tica and I have contacted staff members before, during, and after the con. We keep getting passed around, and told that we will be refunded, but it hasn't actually happened yet. Naturally, this colors my perception of everything else that happened.
Second, one row of tables ended up blocked off from traffic flow, and got no business at all the first day. It wasn't the best layout, and we ended up wasting quite a bit of space.
Third, we're all still a bit unclear about the local tax district.
Fourth, it's a good thing we upgraded to Dealer's Den, because artist alley was nearly empty, with not much traffic, and the headless lounge at the entrance served as a traffic blockade. It would have been better to put the headless lounge in a far corner instead of right at the door, or at least to move the entrance curtains to the headless lounge to a different wall, to encourage people come into the space. The whole huge room was intended as a gathering space with tables, chairs, and games, but it sat more or less vacant due to poor design.
Extras: We decided last year to debut a fullsuit for
Tica at Denfur this year. We ordered the fur and made the pattern in December, then cut out the pattern and did some sewing in early May. As usual, the bulk of the work was pushed back until literally the weekend before the con, but we did it! The sloth fullsuit was a huge hit! Stay tuned for process shots, and follow TicaSloth on twitter for more sloth content. (As her social media responses are a bit slow, Ichiban Sloth Handler Kreoche may end up doing a lot of the actual uploads, so you may want to follow him if you want updates at a non-sloth pace.)

[CON] AWU 2018
Posted 7 years agoHotel: Staying with :Con Hotel
Arrival: Arriving in Utah Thursday night. Heading into SLC Friday morning.
Departure: Sunday night.
Transportation: Driving with
Tica
Sharing a room with:
WrathofAutumn
Kreoche
Tica
Age: 18+
Height: 5'
Weight: 100lbs with Equipment
Art Status:
Tica and I will be at Table 17, second row from the entrance. Come say hi!
What will you be offering at your table?
At-Con badges, Magical Girl Evee keychains, and a whole pile of nicely packaged prints!
Do you take commissions?
Yes. Very much yes. I am at the con for entirely this reason.
Do you do trades?
Yes! (Lower priority than commissions.)
Are you a Fursuiter?
I have not yet decided whether or not to bring my suit. I may be too busy to wear it, and it's getting close to retirement.
What's your fursuit?
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/26177619/
Who do you hang out with?
I'll be in Dealer's Den during vendor hours, but I'm looking forward to meeting new people and hanging out after-hours. If you find me doing overtime with the other artists, I'm always looking for excuses to slack off work.
Attending parties?
I don't expect to be invited to any.
Do you drink?
I can't for medical reasons, but I can pretend.
Can I buy you a drink?
I would be very happy if you offered me a sugary beverage of the fruit, coffee, or tea classification. My favorite alcohol-like beverage is half grenadine half sours.
Do you smoke?
I'm pretty sure this not not permitted within the hotel.
Are you attending any panels?
Come learn all about copyrights and trademarks from Hexum in Twilight 3 after Dealer's Den closes, then stay for my panel, Taxes 101 for Freelancers! You may also be able to find me at the Art Jam.
Stage or public performance?
Nope.
How do I identify my self to you?
State your fursona name. If available, please show me a badge with your fursona picture. I cannot see faces. I will not recognize you unless we know each other well enough to know your voice.
Rules of engagement (physical contact)?
Link to Touch Zone Guide: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/19862762/
Do not touch my face, sex organs, or abdomen, in that order of importance. Anywhere else is fine.
I know it is very tempting because I am small and you want to show off how big and strong you are, but please ask before hoisting me into the air. I am the same weight as two bags of grain. It's not that impressive.
How can I find you?
I will be parked in the Bazaar for most of the day.
I look like this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/22487088/
Can I talk to you?
Of course!
Can I give you lots of money?
Yes. Please buy the things.
Can I give you stuff?
I am open to bribery.
Can I hug or snuggle with you?
Yes. I like to be pet on the head and back. Please do not touch my face with your germy hands or put your germy saliva on me.
Can I come to dinner with you?
Please do! Food is more fun with friends.
Can I hang out with you?
Sure. (After hours though. Please try not to block the table.)
Can I take your picture?
I am not sure why you would want to do that, but you may.
How do I know if you're not looking to socialize (angry, busy or upset)?
I will say to you, explicitly, with English words "I'm sorry, but I'm currently [in pain/responding to an emergency/late for an event]. We can talk later." and then I will tell you where you can find me later.
Personality Type?
Highly conscientious. A type. Has letters at the end of name. My assigned tarot card is the Emperor.
What's your goal for the con this year?
Same as every year and every con; profit and human contact.

[Personal] Discord
Posted 7 years agoTechnology is hard, but I'm trying, okay?
1) Upon further research, I think the computer is overheating because of the silicon keyboard cover. I will have to remove it when I stream.
2) If you're looking for other ways to contact me, both for work and non-work purposes, my telegram is Springdragon
3) Just joined Discord. Please find me Springdragon#4215 I am not entirely sure what Discord is, or does, but I have joined due to peer pressure.
4) There is also Twitter. It's mostly pictures of Bean, but art gets posted there sometimes. @ Camphorous
5) Tumblr has been discontinued. I wish I hadn't printed a giant pile of business cards with the Tumblr, but the next batch will be updated.

[STATUS] Technical Difficulties
Posted 7 years agoI just lost significant progress due to a random computer shutdown, yet again.
The fan is going pretty hard and it feels warm. I don't think it can handle music, streaming, and Clip Studio all at the same time, since it's a much fatter program than SAI.
I tried to be a decent internet citizen. I really tried, but it might be time to give up and go back to my hacked software that I didn't pay for, because I can't find a way to buy it legitimately, and nothing else works quite as well.
In addition, it appears that the D drive is full. BEFORE YOU START, I haven't changed any settings or done anything to add files to the D drive. The computer is doing it automatically. I can't even access the folders in the D drive.
Is there a way to fix this, or do I need to wipe the computer and start over?
It wouldn't be the first time. I put all my art in cloud storage for a reason.

[CON] Wild Nights 2018 Aftermath
Posted 7 years agoGeneral Trip Overview
Tax season ended on April 17, which gave me a little bit of time to try to clean things up. I was up until 2am Wednesday night making preparations. I even vacuumed the grain and barn dust out of the car. There was an unexpected quantity of cat hair, considering that Bean has only ridden in the car once.

We arrived just before dark, then still ended up setting up camp in the dark, but managed not to lose any tent stakes. I have just been reminded that I have glow paint, and am strongly considering spraying a coat on the stakes before the next camping trip. I also remembered to bring glow sticks to use as a cheap continuous light source.
I drew a lot of things and colored a lot of things and am pretty close to clearing out the art binder. Someone also reminded me that the Magical Girl keychains are missing Evee, so expect her to be added to the set with the next production run. If there's anything else you'd like to see in a cute frilly dress, please let me know. The world needs more magic. I also hope to expand the selection of available prints. It's hard to produce more than a few big paintings per year, but as you can see from currently posted WIPs, I have a good start on something nice.
(As a brief reminder, the files for most print sales are not posted on FA as a measure against copyright infringement, so you'll have to stop by my table at a con sometime in order to see exactly what's available. Happy shopping!)

We stayed up far too late (probably until 3) on Sunday night and left after only a few hours of sleep. I headed to bed first because I took first driving shift. It was a close call in some places, but we made it back in once piece.
I feel like I didn't work very hard this year. I took Saturday night off, stopped working earlier in the night, and socialized more. Thanks for supporting me as an artist all these years and continuing to make Wild Nights a great con. Seeing everyone again is always worth the arduous trip.
Specific Highlights
Someone else also brought a power strip, and it was the fancy kind with USB ports, so that we could avoid plugging in additional power strips, which seemed dangerous.

I got my usual fix of head-pats for

Thank you

River, I've lost your FA, but it's always nice to see you in person and add to your collection of strategically placed fish. May it flourish.
Petty Complaints
The trees were spawning. I know it happens every year, but this year was particularly bad, in that all of my clothes and the inside of my vehicle continues to be saturated in particulate matter. In hindsight, that is probably because I stayed in cabins in prior years, which doesn't require that a pollen-covered tent be loaded back into the car.
It was cold. The sleeping bag that I brought is not correctly graded for a person that doesn't produce a normal amount of body heat. I did bring extra blankets, but evidently not enough of them. Next year, I'm busting out the big pink duvet.
The biscuits were weirdly bitter and mouth-burny that one meal that one time. It stands out because it's the only bad meal I've ever had at Wild Nights.
This is year 4 out of 6 where someone has walked in on me in the shower. It's fine, but I continue to be perplexed by our inability to follow basic courtesy in the same way that I am perplexed by people who litter and scratch messages into the walls of toilet stalls. Clearly, this is beyond our ability to resist, but why?
Still working on not obsessively talking about that Beast to people who really don't care. I try to keep it to Facebook, limited to a group of people with the same hobby. Sorry. I promise it'll get better with time.
