Posted 8 months agoAlright, I guess we're doing it kinda. I'm doing a soft launch of my comic. Mostly because I have zero experience building websites and needed to figure out how to upload the pages and get them to show up correctly, and set up the navigation and archive and all that. So I figured I might as well just use the first few pages to figure it out.

If you haven't heard me talk about it, it's more or less a superhero comic, but similar to Animorphs or Marvel's Runaways, it's more of an "us against the world" story about a group of kids who just happen to have superhuman abilities. It's kiiiinda tangentially furry-related in that one of the main characters is half-alien and looks like an anthropomorphic dragon, and another is a human mind stuck in the body of a wolf.
I'm still trying to get into the groove of getting pages done on a semi-regular schedule so no ETA on the next pages at the moment, but I am working on them. In the meantime, I guess just look at this as a small teaser of sorts.
This is also a good opportunity to get any feedback you guys might have, like regarding the layout and such. I'm sort of wondering if maybe the comic is too big on the page? I also left some space on the right for ads or affiliates or banners or whatever. But maybe those might look better under the comic? I dunno, lend me your thoughts.

Posted 9 months agoHolidays are usually very busy for me with family visiting and such, and I've had little to no time to just sit at my desk and draw. I was also kinda accidentally off my medication for the last few weeks which left me in a lethargic state of just wanting to lay in bed and do nothing all day.
But im back up to speed now and plan to make up for it. My hands are itching to be productive.

Posted 12 months agoHey everyone, sorry for the somewhat infrequent uploads recently. As I mentioned before, I'm working on my webcomic called The Challengers. I've been putting most of my focus into it lately and I'm hoping to get it rolled out pretty soon. If you haven't heard of it yet, It's a superhero comic, but it's less of an Avengers or Justice League and more of an Animorphs or Runaways. It's an "us against the world" story about a group of kids trying to find their place in the world and do the right thing, who also just happen to have superhuman abilities. It's kinda tangentially furry-related in that one of the main characters looks like an anthropomorphic dragon, and another is a human mind stuck in the body of a wolf.
Anyways, last time I shared this I had just started up the website for the comic, and I've updated it a bit since then. There's a Characters page with short bios (which I wrote at the suggestion of Teebs13), an Extras page with all the official art I've done for the comic so far, and Fan Art has its own page now (which I having a surprising amount of given the comic hasn't even started yet).
I'm trying to get a handful of pages done before I start publishing them, just so I have a bit of a buffer. But they're definitely coming along and the comic should be starting soon! So perhaps keep an eye out if it interests you.

Posted a year agoIn the past several years, I've had genuine mental breakdowns and depressive episodes over having to watch helplessly at what the art world is becoming. Rampant AI, algorithms, corporate greed, the idea that we're meant to be nothing but a profitable content machine. One by one I've watched every platform I grew up with be twisted into some fake shell of its former self, grow more disingenuous and callous towards artists by the day... every platform, except for this one.
FurAffinity is the one remaining art site that I have always felt 100% comfortable on. FA has always been about the artists, the artwork, the community, the passion and love we have for this fandom. I can let down my walls here, enjoy art as it is and as it's meant to be. Getting more into furry art saved me as an artist.
I didn't expect Dragoneer's passing to affect me this much. It hits way too close, and I'm so freaking appalled by how preventable it was. He didn't deserve this.
I'm so sorry for how the system failed you, Neer. No matter what happens next, I will be forever grateful for this space you made for us. Rest easy.

Ongoing Commission Queue
Posted 3 years agoSo, here's the deal, I'm trying to save up some money, and I've kinda gotten into the rhythm of doing commissions regularly, so I'm going to try a new format for my Commission Queue.
I dunno if there's an actual name for this format or if other artists do this, but basically, I'm going to keep the 5 slots, but every time I start working on a commission, I open up another slot. So there's always a "line" of up to 5 people waiting, instead of me just taking batches of 5 at a time. This pretty much lets me take commission requests continuously without me getting all anxious about seeing a huge line of people.
Does that make any sense? I don't know. Anyways that means currently there's 3 more slots open now.

ow my wrist
Posted 4 years agoHey everyone, so you might've noticed a lack of new art lately, and that's because... well, you read the title. I've either got carpal tunnel syndrome or RSI (repetitive strain injury) in my right wrist, which happens to be the one I draw with. Basically, the nerves in my right hand and arm go all tingly and numb if I use them too much. It was bad enough at one point that I couldn't even close my fist. I can't really pinpoint why or how, I haven't really been doing much more work than I have been in the past... Maybe it just caught up with me.
Anyway, my wrist isn't completely immobilized, but I'm having to take VERY frequent breaks while drawing, and wear a wrist splint while at work and when I'm sleeping. It's pretty much brought my productivity to a crawl. Thankfully I think I'm on the upswing at this point but it may be several weeks before I'm back up to full speed. Just gotta take it easy. Obviously I really can't afford any nerve damage in my hands.
Sucks because I was actually thinking about opening up for commissions again. I guess it's good that this happened before and not afterwards like last time, huh?

Slight Delay with Commissions
Posted 5 years agoHey everyone. So, long story short, I just had surgery to have my appendix removed. I was having really bad abdominal pain last night, bad enough that I couldn't sleep, so I went to the ER, expecting it to just be trapped gas or something. Turns out, it was appendicitis. It's potentially life threatening so they had to remove it as soon as possible. They kept me in the hospital overnight and did the surgery this morning. It was all pretty easy and straightforward but, definitely not how I thought I'd spend my night, that's for sure.
But anyways, I'm totally fine now, but I'm probably going to be out of commission for a few weeks. heheh out of commission see what I did there
...Anyway, yeah, it's going to take up to two weeks for me to recover, so that means lots of bed rest, and probably no sitting at my computer hunched over my tablet. So I'm gonna have to take a little break from working on those commissions. I'm sure you guys understand.
I'm just thankful I actually convinced myself to go to the hospital (I came pretty close to just toughing out the pain), and that they caught it while it was easy to take care of. So anyway, yeah, I'm fine, just gotta take it easy for a bit.

I figure it's been long enough since the last batch. I know I said I wanted to focus on my comic (which I'm still doing!), but having commissions to work on kinda helps with my motivation. Plus I like money. Anyway, let's do this.

I bumped up the price for fully rendered drawings. Not by a whole lot, but like I said before, my last batch of commissions was sort of a test run, and kinda gave me an idea of what I should be charging with the amount of effort and time I'm putting in. I think I just needed to go a tad higher. Hopefully that's okay with everyone.
And second, I'm gonna try accepting NSFW commissions this time... to an extent. I was iffy about it last time because for some reason I had the idea that I either needed to accept all NSFW commissions or none at all. Truthfully, I'm okay with it as long as it's... tasteful. I'll draw nudes, but I won't draw porn, if that makes sense. Check my commission guide for my guidelines, and if you're unsure, just ask. The worst I can say is no.
Anyway, enough rambling. let's open up with 10 slots. I'm gonna share the slots between all websites, FYI.

Posted 6 years agoWell, long story short, I shared some of my art here many years ago, but ended up getting cold feet and deleted all of it cause I was a little apprehensive about people seeing me as a "furry artist" back then.
I still don't know if I'd refer to myself as such but, I have always had a thing for anthropomorphic characters, and they're a decent portion of what I draw, so, heck, here I am. Honestly everyone here has always been pretty dang welcoming and friendly. And like people said, this site isn't just about porn porn and porn, it's just another art site. If it helps with building an audience, I see no downside.
That being said I probably won't share all of my artwork here, just the stuff that would, you know, appeal this community. My main gallery will still be over at DeviantArt.
But yeah, let try this again. Bear with me, I've got quite a bit to upload.
