Animal Crossing: New Leaf
General | Posted 12 years agoI am hereby the newest mayor of Mawville. Best city of all time. Gorgeous view. 10/10.
But seriously, I loved Animal Crossing for the GameCube and this one is no exception. Who else picked up New Leaf? :D

General | Posted 12 years agoVore! Why do you like it?
General | Posted 12 years agoOkay! There’s a bunch of vore journals out there and all of them are very fun to read, so I wanted to make my own! Simply: why do you guys like vore? It’s a pretty broad question, and you can be as brief or detailed as you’d like!
I really enjoy hearing how people started to find something so bizarre like being devoured alive so appealing, or what some of their favorite fantasies about it are. It’s exciting to see just how diverse the community is on the subject. I’d love to see any images or stories that best capture the “essence” of what you enjoy about it, too. If it’s an artist on FA go ahead and pimp them out, not all of us may be following their work yet!
Here, I’ll go first!
My personal fascination began at a very young age, about four, and started with an obsession over specific scenes in movies. Some of my favorites growing up were Fern Gully, Jurassic Park, Dragonheart, The Jungle Book, and Anaconda, though you can argue vore certainly snuck its way into a ton of media back then—it’s hard to name them all here.
I didn’t actually find out what “vore” was until very recently, three years ago in fact. Until then I honestly believed I was completely alone in the universe. Think about it, how unnatural is having a huge desire to be eaten alive? I never regretted my fascination though, it has always been a huge source of inspiration for me—something fueling a creative bonfire my entire life.
I love it so much it’s incredibly hard to pick any kind of favorites. That being said, realism is very important to me. The more believable and relatable a scenario is, the more fascinating I find it. Ultimately, human prey and creatures capable of swallowing them whole are my preference. This explains why I love large snakes, sea creatures (ocean life tends to grow big), and of course the mythical dragon!
There’s a lot more to say but I want to see what you guys want to share! Feel free to discuss to your heart’s content your own experiences. I’d love to talk about others’ interests and see where they overlap and branch off. It’s very eye-opening, and why I joined a community to begin with! :)

Back from FC!
General | Posted 13 years agoFC this year was AMAZING! Absolutely the best con ever!
I shan't bore you with too many details but some highlights were:
--Rooming with Dreamous, Sal, and TJ (who is a really cool guy! Thanks for lunch!)
--The ADP was awesome as usual! Thanks everyone for coming and making the night a blast (I'll fuck your shit up Azzy)
--Talking to Skadjer after the ADP (while slightly drunk). That guy is awesome!
--First time I've ever gotten drunk thanks to Carcar. WHAT THE FUCK Carcar.
--All the parties in Morca, Nixx, Kartonis, and Fumei's room. You shall not sleep!
--Dinner with Tojo and James x2, she totally drew vore. I sawed it!
And sooooo much more, really it's hard to pick favorites because it was ALL TOO AWESOME! Thanks
Dreamous for letting me crash with you guys both during and after the con! I'm really sad it's all over already. Can not WAIT until next year!

3 years!
General | Posted 13 years agoOf FA madness! My mind is blown; it's been an entire three years since I joined the fandom (and to some degree, took drawing seriously!) It's such a cliche, but honestly it feels just like yesterday.
Many fond nights talking to the old crew (you know who you are!) Oh how you've corrupted this dragon! When I think back on it, it almost makes me miss RP, and all the shenanigans that ensue. Almost. ;)
Anyway, that's enough nostalgia'ing for now. Thanks again for all the support guys, you're all a blast to hang with and chat. Makes the days go by so much better sometimes. :)

Drakeling is old
General | Posted 13 years agoI turned a quarter century old today. So old! I CAN FEEL IT IN MY BONES!
Holy crap AC
General | Posted 13 years agoIt's over! And I'm still tired!
Cons are always super fun for me and also arrive just when I need a vacation the most. I was wandering around the con pretty zombefied for the duration of it too, but hopefully wasn't thaaaaat boring to be around ;)
Met tons and tons of new and old friends, which of course is the only reason I go nowadays--I didn't go to a single panel this time around! Seems like a waste but at least the dealers den was awesome this year to wander around. FC really needs a big floor like that for theirs!
I didn't get anything done art-wise at the con at all but that's pretty typical. All the incredible talent at the con was a huge inspiration to get myself out of this art slump I've been in for a while, so I'm looking forward to start painting again.
In no specific order some favorite moments:
-Driving to Pittsburg from the airport with
carcar and fearing for our lives as we went through the slums. Felt like we were on an episode of CSI
-Our 5 hour dinner with
pyxaron and
micksam7 Whyyyy does it always take so long to do things at a con? XD Still fun times though, thanks for the Sprout-flavored shake, Mick!
-Hanging with
tojo-the-thief and
sabur for, oh I dunno, 95% of the entire con. It was fuckin hilarious as always. I don't know why everyone thinks Tojo is a girl though because he's totally a guy. I mean his character has a dick, geez, talk about obvious.
-Meeting amazing artists like
severuscoil
slug
winddragon
ecmajor and sooo many others in the dealers den. Super inspirational as I said before, it's always so cool to meet all the artists you look up to in person. Oh, fine, I guess
tojo-the-thief can be in the list too but for some strange reason I couldn't find here in the artists alley, hmm....
-Finally getting to see the amazing Dragon's Hoard: Nomnoms comic. A-Fucking-Mazing. All I can say is... planning is in progress.
-Porn party with
dreamous and
spelunker_sal Sunday night!! Much feet, peens, vags, maws, tongues, and tails to be had! Also,
dreamous can deep-throat wine bottles. Don't ask me why this is relevant to anything. It just is.
-Monday chilling out with everyone in the lounge. I actually thought Monday would be kinda boring since everyone was leaving, but we actually had quite the last-minute get together. So much anger watching Tojo draw fast, especially maws of all kinds. She ended up showing me the magical voraciousness of frogs which I now may be very into. Also, I want a giant salamander! *grabbypaws*
That's about it! Plane ride home went smooth enough and now it's back to boring work until FC. Hope to see everyone there!

On that note, Inferno is chew-on-glass frustrating. I'd like to hear people's strats (haha... strategy... right...) on getting through it. How far have you all gotten?

Commission stuff
General | Posted 13 years agoThe one's I have are going to be pushed back a bit more. Stuff came up. They'll get done though, no worries.
Also, a couple people have asked me if I will be opening up commissions after the one's I have are complete. Unfortunately I will not be, I'm taking the time for myself for a good year or more to improve. At any rate, with the military and possible future deployments, I wouldn't be in any condition to do work for others anyway.

Color choices
General | Posted 13 years agoSome late night ramblings..!
So I just noticed I tend to use greens and reds a LOT in my paintings. The ironic thing is, I'm actually green and red colorblind. In other words, whatever you guys are seeing is probably completely different than what I see! (I guess red makes sense though, because of maws!)
Speaking of which, the color pallet of my hydra piece and war of 1812 piece is almost exactly the same. By accident too.. how very strange!
Anyway, I should probably work with more colors. Any recommendations? What are your favorite color choices? Feel free to link examples, that's probably the best way to communicate it anyway! And I love looking at art! ;) I think I might try using more vibrant blues or yellows. Honestly I hate trying to shade those colors, it's very difficult to not mud them up.
But yeah, off to bed for me.

Commission Updates
General | Posted 14 years agoThanks again everyone for all of your interest in commissions. I'm sorry if I didn't get to your idea, they wen't rather fast! The three people below now have slots, but they are not confirmed until payment is received. While you don't have to pay immediately, I would appreciate if payment was delivered in the near future. Here is the (rough) order in which they will be worked on and completed:
Slot 1:
MeanyBeany
Slot 2:
ShadowKeeper
Slot 3:
Pyxaron
I will try and keep you all updated in a timely manner. Thanks again everyone. :)

Opening $55 Commissions - 3 slots!
General | Posted 14 years agoI'm going to try something a bit different than usual and try opening commissions up again to see who's interested. I was thinking of listing them for $55 USD, at least for now anyway.
Anyhoo, this time around I'll be opening three slots instead of just one. The images I'll do will be around these examples, either cell-shaded or digital painting style is fine with me, each has pro's and con's:
Digital Paints:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7255287
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7236827 (NSFW)
Cell shaded:
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7105699
http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7236685 (NSFW)
My commission process typically requires a means of good communication (skype, msn, etc), and includes:
Initial Thumbnails- usually 2-3 gesture sketches so you can get an idea of what the picture will look like. Pick the one you want to go with.
Sketch- Iron out the details of your character here before I start painting
Polish Pass- A complete image run by you for last minute corrections and specifics, depending on the complexity I may request more passes run by you.
Final Piece- Completed picture for you to use and post wherever, usually under a shared copyright.
The whole process typically takes 1-3 months due to other commitments, but I'll always try to push them out as fast as I can.
If anyone is interested, shoot a quick idea down here for me and I'll contact you via note (or email if you prefer) if it snags my attention. I draw pretty much anything, but stuff I prefer is clean art, dragons/reptiles, and of course VORE! I do plan to pick one normal, non-fetishy picture to show non furry artists, so if you want to go down that route I'm okay with that too.
Some last details: I'll be using PayPayl for this, so remember not to include any details about furry in the description (say commission or concept art instead). I'd really like the money up front for this wave, as I'd like to clear up some financial issues, hopefully that's not too much trouble. Once I receive payment your slot will be solidified, but you can ask for a refund anytime before the sketch phase is finished if need be. I will probably be working on all three pieces at once, but they will be completed and polished in the order I list them on my profile. Finally, I unfortunately am not the best artist in the world. Please realize you are paying for amateur art from an amateur artist, and you should commission at your own risk.
And that's about it! If I forgot anything or if you have any questions please let me know, I'm willing to work with you all. Feel free to shout here if you are interested. :)

FC hell yeah!
General | Posted 14 years agoHad an ABSOLUTE BLAST!! I'm so sad it's over, but I'll keep it short and sweet.
It was so great to meet everyone, I hung with a massive group of durganz the whole time. Went to Vrass' speedpainting panel, which was really informative. Also the ADP was a blast, even though I was way too nervous presenting smut to everyone. It didn't help there was a professional author in the audience, how strange that was XD. Party in Mandarax's room was amazingly hilarious and waaaayyy too hot, not in the good way. And of course the "narration" of Dragons Hoard Volume Two was something to be remembered for all time, so much in fact, I needed to drink to get through it all. If you missed it you missed out, but I hear there's a video somewhere... ;)
It was a sad day to have to leave everyone, but there is always next year. Shoutouts to all the new people I met there, keep in touch manz! Hopefully see everyone at AC as well!
Nomnoms for everyone!
