General | Posted 15 years agoWould anyone be interested in some small $8 commissions? I think it would be great practice for me to paint some other people's ideas, so I've been thinking about opening something like this up.
If you are interested, you can post here or PM me your idea. I'll pick 2 maybe 3 to work with, and do them one at a time. I plan on getting them done rather promptly, but maybe expect to wait a week or two just in case ;) Oh and I'll use paypal for this.
Like 99% of my gallery is sketches, so for examples of stuff you'd get just look in there.
Carefull with adult stuff... I'm not completely against the idea, but I do most of my work on a publicly viewed computer. If your idea has adult content theres a high chance I'll never have time to even work on it...
Just a random idea I thought might stir things up. I have been drawing lately, just not posting... I'm lame I know. Oh and I still owe people some gifts, so please don't try and commission me for them. That's just sillyness!

I really do like the simplicity of this site and it's gallery features, but sometimes I have no clue what goes on through the admin's heads. XD Why did they not have an option to delete comments to begin with, and why did they "almost implement" one when they finally got around to it?

One of my friends thought it was silly that I wasn't telling anyone it was my birth (hatch!) day, so FINE! Here it is!

On the art side of things... I really haven't had any time to draw anything, and when I do get time, I've been totally lazy. :X
But slowely getting inspired... so maybe I'll get those pics I owe people done soon. ...maybe!
My IT job is running out in a month or so... so that means...?

Oh also, I do 3D stuff too. I did go to college for it after all. I might be interested in working with people (since I need motivation to practice 3D more) to do little characters like these:

I know there's tons and tons of these too, but I'll try and write up a quick one. It was my first AC, and second con I've ever been too. And holy crap was it awesome!
The guest of honor was the amazing James Gourney, author and artist of the Dinotopia series. I went to 3 of his panels and just couldn't get enough of how talented the guy was! Definitly a must see if you haven't looked him up yet.
I spent a huge amount of time hanging out with Shadowkeeper Pyxaron and Onyx chilling out and meeting new people. The sheer amount of amazing artists there left me feeling pretty intimidated, not going to lie. Everyone was so nice and friendly though, especially those in the dealers den and artists alley. Hibbary is awesome! :)
Friday night was pretty badass too. When I was hanging out with Shadow in his room
Tojo-the-thief came in to pick stuff up and chat with Midori. She is one of the artists I look up too and definitly wanted to meet, and it turns out that she's even an awesome and halarious person too! I ended up hanging out with her a couple more times at the con. Oh, and by the way, she's totally flamingly gay too... Gaaayyy
And of course I can't forget being introduced to the amazing
Narse either. He was pretty busy for sure, but I had to tell him how ROCK SOLID his art is, especially his anatomy! Like holy crap! Then he told me he wacked off to some of my art once... yeah... didn't really have any idea how to react to that one. XD He's definitly a real chill and cool guy though!
Thats about it for now I guess, I could easily go on and on and on since it was such a blast! Definitly going to the next one, and too those of you I met, keep cool!

First: Camping!
General | Posted 15 years agoWow! Just came back from a much needed (and much awesome!) vacation! I would write all this in one huuuuge journal, but that'd be waaay too big. So instead, it gets two!
First off is the camping trip with Pyxaron Shadowkeeper 
Neopagan 
Kentam Onyx Morca and 
Tenur . It was pretty epic! I drove up to Pyx's place Friday and flew out to Vancouver with him to crash at Shadows place. Then for the rest of the weekend we camped in the Vancouver island areas. All I know is that we had to take a 2 hour mini cruise to get there and back, ferry style. XD
The trip consisted of a lot of awesome falcons, crabs, and cave explorations. It was also so fun to meet new people, and people who I've talked to but never seen their faces. I had an absolute blast though, so I can safely assume everyone there was awesome :P I was happy to finally talk to Morca too. He's a cool guy and awesome artist!
Afterwards there was a long plane trip back to Montreal which may or may not have consisted of multiple How to Train Your Dragon watches... All I can say to Fire is: "Why would you do that!?"
I know I'm forgeting a whole bunch of stuff too, including how much Pyxaron hates spicey food, but I'll end the huge block of text here. Thanks to everyone that went, we should definitly do something like this again!

General | Posted 15 years agoAs of today I will not be accepting requests, trades, or commissions. Any pending or in progress requests or comissions are also cancelled and will be refunded for their full amount.
I'll be removing some art from here as well, on the off chance that anyone cares about that. Primarily adult content.
On a bit more positive note, I'll be camping with Shadowkeeper, Pyxaron and the gang in June and look foward to it (so long as things go as planned and we don't run into anymore roadblocks, heh.) I'll also be attending AC with them.
Keep your eye out for some small sketches I did here and there over the weeks. Hope everyone is doing well, and sorry for the inconvienences... :/

Where has this drakeling been??

School was just crazy the last three months or so. Like seriously!! I have no idea where the time went. (Actually I do, it all went into my homework darnit!!) Anyways, as of tomorrow I’m officially a college grad, so that’s pretty darn sweet! :)
So that means Sprout is back!! Finally! Though I’ll be working full time and looking for another job (like one in my actual major *cough*) I’ll have much MUCH more time to hang out with you all! I’ve missed a lot of you too! I really do feel pretty disconnected, so I’ll probably be poking a ton of you all the next couple of weeks. Pretend you’re not TOO annoyed! ^..~

Charem’s commission is first up to the plate. I know it’s been like MONTHS, but I’ve been soooo busy. I also have a lot of requests and other things to draw for people too, so you guys look out for that too! (And yeah Nite, it’s been a month or so since I’ve posted anything. SShhhh!!) On the plus side, my painting skills have like tripled. Guess school’s good for something!

Yes, you heard right! I think I’m finally going to open up commissions in the near future (through semi-popular demand too! Woot!).
Why the change of heart? Well, as it turns out, me and a few friends are planning on going to the new Con up in Montreal, What The Fur? (WTF?) and we need a couple extra bucks to make it happen! So what better way to support us than to get some sweet art out of the deal, right? ^..~
I haven’t decided on a price plan yet (might be around $40, give or take depending on detail), but the quality of the commissions would be around these examples:

Powers: Tied to the Elemental Plane of Earth
Description:
Hi there! *Waves a paw* My name’s Sprout. I’m glad to meet all of you critters out there, even if some of you are really scary! *shudders, and tries to make himself look as small as possible*
Hmm, I’ve never been good at these introductions... I guess I can start with my interests! *he jumps up on a nearby rock, pretending to recite a speech from memory* I love all things nature; every bit of it! Most of my time is spent in the forest observing everything living: flora, fauna… you name it, I love it! I sometimes forget that nature can be quite dangerous at times, and have repeatedly gotten just a few steps to close to a few… erhm… predators of the woods. *scratches the back of his neck*
But I guess all this might be expected, as I am from the Elemental Plane of Earth. I really shouldn’t be here as much as I am, but curiosity always wins me over. Being elemental comes with its benefits though! I’m an excellent burrower for one. The dirt is my water, and I love swimming freely around in it! My leathery scales are also somewhat resistant to natural substances such as venom and acid, though they don’t hold strong forever. Oh, and I can also hold my breath for quite a long period of time. I’m not sure what that last one has to do with the Earth element… perhaps it lets me burrow without worrying about breathing? Come to think of it, there’s not much air on my home plane. I can’t really think of another use for it here though… can you?
Anyway, perhaps the best advantage of being tied to the Earth element is that I have to be on the Earth plane to die. *smiles excitedly* That means I’m pretty much free to explore the material plane as much as I want, and I take full advantage of it! I still feel pain and all of that other nasty stuff… but if I were to… uhm… ‘die’ here, my spirit would simply reform back in the Elemental plane. I would just have to find a gate back here, and I’m off exploring the woods again!
Oh what next… *brings his paw up to scratch his chin* Oh yes! Dislikes! I pretty much don’t like any barren areas here… deserts, snowy wastelands, and all that. They’re quite boring, so I stick to places that have an abundance of life. Oh, and I don’t like anything made by those… erhm… ‘humans.’ Yeah, those guys seem to ruin everything I like, so I tend to avoid them. Plus, they look pretty boring to the eye, if you ask me... *chuckles*
Well that’s about all I can think of when it comes to talking about myself. I’m pretty modest, and try not to do this too often… *blushes a bit under his scales* But I suppose you all need to get to know me somehow! If you have any questions you want to ask me, just holler! I’ll usually be scampering around the woods playing with the local wildlife, or… *reluctantly confesses…* having the local wildlife play with me.
