PATREON COUPON - Medical Update Wk7
Posted a week agoHELLO!
Things have improved! Still not perfect but the flares are nearly gone. Still a lot of aches though. I managed to find a stool that I can sit on without much pain though sitting time is still limited. I wish I was recovering faster. I miss my office chair lol. I've started cleaning my house. It's really been getting out of hand because of having a broken body.
Even though I haven't been able to sit on my computer as much as I've been wanting to, I have been working on idea crafting for the game I have in mine. Refining ideas and such. I'm pretty excited about it!
Now onto the BIG NEWS!

Medical Update Wk5
Posted 4 weeks agoMeasured improvement still this week! Still have sore days but the flares have almost completely gone away now. My next PT appointment isn't until next week though. But as September wraps up, I will be resuming work. I don't know if I can handle full time but I will work as much as I'm able. I have also been working on my schedule to better produce meaningful content to you all.
I'm sure you all have seen the latest post I made with the character busts. I have been practicing modeling! I really really REALLY want to expand my character lineup. This will benefit both my animations and the game I'm planning out. It'll also expand YCH options for when those are offered. Giving people more species options as well.
I will adjust my schedule in the near future to reflect my goals. I will still be doing animations but I need to make room for character development and game development as well. But for now, October is going to be a month of transition back into work mode. Thank you all for your support and kind words!!!
ALSO!
Raffle results!
The winner is Xanth!! Congrats!!!
Thank you for everyone that entered!

Medical Update WK.4 ⚠️
Posted a month agoProgress!
I'm excited to tell you all that I have made some progress in recovery. While the pain is still present, especially during sitting/standing transitions, it's not nearly so severe as it was. The new PT exercises seem to be helping along with a better sleeping position, plus lots of walking. Leg still aches but again, not as intense. I saw my primary doctor today and she was impressed with progress. I'm also down 10lbs since a month ago! So everything seems to be moving in the correct direction. I'm hoping that it'll continue.
As far as work goes, I have started doing an hour here and there as of Monday. I don't know if I'll have a full animation by the start of October but I hope to have something.
I have been thinking on changing my routine though. I desperately need new characters. Twice monthly animations doesn't allow time to do much else. So I am thinking to reducing animations to once per month with the rest of the time spent on character development and game development (the latter of which will be research and learning). I've already been refreshing my modeling skills and re-familiarizing myself with various tools to help make it faster and more efficient. I've already got some great results that I will be sharing soon! (including a new sexy pred character~)
Thank you all for your continued support and kind words in the comments. Don't forget that I'm currently holding a raffle for a free model on Bluesky! Surprisingly only 79 people have entered so the chances are pretty good!

Medical Update WK.3 ⚠️
Posted a month agoYesterday I saw the physiologist. Honestly the appointment felt like a waste of time because he just told me to go get an MRI after just a few stretching tests. But I guess I'm glad I went. I got lucky and got an MRI later that afternoon. That was a LONG 40 minutes of laying absolutely still. I swear it felt like my arms were dead by the end of the session.
MRI RESULTS
1. L5-S1 central leftward 1 cm protrusion-type herniation abuts descending nerve roots on the left.
2. No acute fracture.
From what I understand, 1cm is considered large but not necessarily severe (smaller herniations can be more severe, it just depends on how it pushes on stuff). Hurts like a bitch when shit flares though. However, I won't be seeing my physiologist again until next Thursday so I'll have to hold out until then.
I will be seeing my physical therapist this afternoon armed with this new information. I'm expecting my exercises/stretches to be adjusted because up until now we were treating piriformitis in the left buttocks region.
RAFFLE OPPORTUNITY
Get a 3D model made by me! (not rigged*)
I don't like just asking for blind donations, so instead, I'd like to extend an opportunity to win a raffle by spreading awareness of my ongoing condition. Journals just aren't reaching people.
ENTER HERE https://bsky.app/profile/sprucemoki...../3lz2bqy3w7s2p
Raffle will end at the end of September!
Commenting on this journal does not add raffle entires, but comments are always welcome <3
Consider subscribing to Patreon or Buck Club to help support me and the growing medical bills. I appreciate every single one of you!
*If I get more than 100 new subscribers, I will include rigging (for Maya OR Blender) for the winner of the raffle.
Cheers,
Spruce.
PS - Read my previous journals for more info on the situation leading up to this point.

Health Update ⚠️
Posted a month agoFirstly, I want to thank you all for the kind words, whether it was in the comments, DM, or wherever. It means a lot to me! I also want to thank my supporters who are sticking around this month despite no content updates. You guys are simply the best <3
Here's a quick update!
Another week of physical therapy is in the books. The PT added a couple more stretches and one more strength workout. I still struggle with sitting/standing transitions though. I do feel marginally better about it though. The pain isn't quite as intense so I want to say there's improvement! I'm now also on an anti-inflammatory (non-steroid) to help keep things in check as I rest.
I canceled the MRI appointment. They quoted me $2063 out of pocket... So that's not happening lol. Instead, I am now scheduled to meet with a physiologist on the 22nd (the earliest available).
I wanted to open an opportunity for a character commission. Patreon continues to decline in subscribers (which I don't fault anyone for. You are paying for content, not hospitality), but that doesn't change the fact that I have bills to pay. This commission is not going to be openly advertised. NOTE ME. We can discuss. Paypal only. I want to do full character commissions that are textured, rigged, game and animation ready. Perhaps even placed in my game when it's mature enough. I will not begin any work on character commissions until I finish the fur commissions still in my queue (I did not forget about you guys!) The reason for not advertising it more openly is because I want to offer it only to those who have taken the time to read my update. It shows that you care! And I thank you <3
Anyways, I'll follow up next Monday with another journal to let you know how things are going then.
Cheers,
Spruce
PS - If you would like to aid me in my recovery financially, I welcome any and all new subscribers on Patreon or Buck Club! I will (try to) resume content updates on the 1st of September.

⚠️ Medical Disclosure - Support Needed ⚠️
Posted 2 months agoMedical Timeline:
Mid-March Wisconsin got its last snow dump of the year. Woke up early in the morning and shoveled it. It was wet and heavy and I didn't think to warm up before shoveling.
Ended up straining my lower back. Lasted a good couple of months, never went to the doctor for it. American medical care/bills naturally kept me away. Figured I'd self treat. The back eventually did get better but it never fully went away. It did affect my work output (I tried my best to keep up with twice monthly releases regardless) as it was uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time. I have a very good chair that normally isn't a problem.
Then at the start of July, I started to notice that getting up out of the chair caused a minor spasm in the left buttocks/upper hamstring area. I thought it just needed more stretching. I tried a variety of things. Again, self treating. But it got worse and worse until the spasms cause me to freeze in place until it works its way out. This time severely limiting my sit time and pain that began disrupted my sleep. Finally went to see the doctor on the 2nd of August and they said it's likely a nerve impingement and recommended a physical therapist, a week of steroids, and rest. I ordered a standing desk to try to offset sitting time and it helped some. Naturally, I continued working, successfully putting out Dino Control on the 15th. However, the pain had escalated where I just couldn't be at the computer very long even standing and ended up constantly exhausted and mentally disfigured due to the pain and lack of sleep.
Four physical therapist appointments and now a checkup today. I have good days and some very bad days. My doctor says I should have made more progress. Even with doing the activities I did, it shouldn't hurt this much still. I'm now scheduled for an MRI this Friday. Something I had been avoiding for cost reasons. With an MRI, they hope to see the issue more directly and administer localized injections. Definitely not looking forward to that...
I need your continued support please
I'm asking for your continued support and understanding while requesting time off. Patreon/Buck Club is my only income source. I do not work another job. It's the reason that I persisted and continued making content despite the medical issues that I thought would pass. I have been providing content to all of you for nearly 8 years now with over 55 unique animations. For the most part, maintaining a consistent release schedule and striving to improve and grow. Since March, with my reduced work time, I know my animations have dipped in quality, at least that's how I feel, and as such my subscriber support has slowly decreased. Now, I don't know if it's because of the decline in animation quality or if it's the pressures of the economy or the rise of AI content, but it is now at a threshold. I cannot allow it to drop any lower else I can't afford my bills. But I also cannot work. I tried so hard to keep up with it but I really can't.
I'm asking for a month off. - I can't afford to pause Patreon or Buck Club, again, it's my only source of income. Unfortunately, I don't get PTO. I don't qualify for unemployment. I don't have the normal avenues someone does with normal employment.
I'm asking my subscribers to remain subscribed through the month of September. And if you're not subscribed and have enjoyed my content, I would be incredibly gracious for your support during this time. I generally have not asked for this kind of support. I'd rather do a YCH or auction but I simply cannot work and thus those are not options this time.
Final thoughts
I wish no one has to ever go through the kind of pain I endure just getting up from a chair. It's no fun. I hope you will forgive my lack of posts this month and hopefully with the focused rest and recovery, I can get back to sit-shape and continue making content for the community. I am really excited about the game I want to do as well as making progress on Prey Pill (which will be imported into Unreal as a learning opportunity for game design) as well as moving forward with a big YCH opportunity with The Post Party (probably just called The Party). At the very least, I can binge watch tutorials in the meantime.
I thank you for your understanding and support as I get through this month. I wouldn't have accomplished as much as I have thus far without you guys.
Cheers,
Spruce.

A Game Changer
Posted 4 months agoLet me be blunt.
I haven't been enjoying the work I do as much as I used to. I feel uninspired and trapped in a loop. I feel trapped because I'm trying to release 2 animations per month so that my viewers and subscribers feel that their subscription fee is worth it. And that doesn't leave me room to experiment or do bigger projects. As soon as I finish one animation it's onto the next. It's been especially difficult lately with the lack of available audio designers. Doing the audio myself takes a lot of time out of other things that could be done instead. The YCH's are a nice change of rhythm and I've been enjoying them more, tbh. But that's not where I'm going with this journal.
I want to make a game.
I've had an idea for a really slick and fun management game for about a year now. It would be made in UE5 and I guess kind of feel like the Sims in a way in terms of player experience. I don't want to say too much about the game yet in case things change but I think it'll be great fun. I want to start work on this ASAP.
I have to wrap up Slow and Steady properly first. I want to do a proper internal view for the POV complete with the inside of the stomach. So, I'll start work after that. A significant error occurred with the Jax rig after a software update that put me back a week so I apologize there wasn't more in the version 3 update.
I will still make animations
I still have animation ideas I'd like to bring to life independent from the game. I got one with the "duck-y-saurus", Concerto planned. I also have an orca one written out. And lastly I would like to expand Post Party into a full length animation where we see the arrival of the prey guest. That one would have lots of YCH opportunity to fill the house with character variety in the background.
What will subscribers get?
My Patreon and Buck Club subscribers will still get twice monthly updates on the game or animations. It's obvious that I won't have a game build ready for subscriber testing until much later on but I will begin working on characters and try to at least show them off in a quick animation demonstration as soon as I can. And once I begin doing game related animations, you'll receive those as well. The game will also have YCH opportunities I think. Maybe a raffle, maybe an auction, maybe some recolor slots as a more affordable alternative.
Update on The Donut YCH's and Bad Hiding Place YCHs
For those who are in queue for YCH work, don't worry! I'm still working on these! I have delivered all of the non-fur YCH's for The Donut. I have to work on the base groom for both feline and canine characters. It's going to take awhile I fear. The grooming process is not as easy as I had thought.
I will fulfill 1 or 2 Bad Hiding Place YCH's per week at least. This one is going smoothly actually. I might actually try to bust out a good majority in the next couple weeks if I can so I can keep my computer busy overnight rendering.
Thank you for your time and support!
I sincerely appreciate everyone who follows, comments, and subscribes to me. I know I'm probably going to lose a few of you during this transition but I hope I can gain some in return as things ramp up! I know I'm not the most social of the butterflies but I try to reply to most comments. Don't be afraid to ask questions or make suggestions! Lastly, don't forget to check the description on my home page on FA to find my socials! Telegram, Discord, Bluesky, etc!
I wish you all a great week!

Seeking Audio Designers
Posted 5 months agoLooking to add some audio designers to my available options as the ones I have now have gotten busy. I do need some audio right away for Indestructible Chew, which you can look at here https://www.furaffinity.net/view/60878167/ (it's still in early access. So if you're serious, I can send you a preview before proceeding).
Ideally I'd like to add 2 or 3 people. Look at my gallery to get an idea of what I animate. It's primarily vore between anthro and feral with some sexual stuff now being introduced but still usually as it relates to vore. My characters tend to be semi-realistic but also semi-stylized and with clear signs of emotional and intellectual competence (minus the models I haven't replaced yet like the wolf).
If you're interested or know someone who is, you can either comment below or send me a note.
Thank you for your time!

Anyone got a guide for...
Posted 6 months agoAsking animators and non-animators alike. I was wondering if any of you had a guide or could help me learn how to do sex stuff. I've seen some really good animations where it appears it's more than just a simple rig. Unless it's just really perfect animation, I assume it's partially simulated. Jiggle physics would also be great to know about. Anyone with any info, please post it! And if you have the time to demonstrate personally, that would be fantastic.
While I work in Maya, I could probably apply the concepts from Blender and such.
Thanks in advance!

I would like to continue to learn more about it and start making my interactives with that instead of the HTML player I currently use. I hope it will increase user satisfaction and compatibility. I will still render out the animations in video format for those that wish to view it like that.
I also want to create a more cinematic animation now and then. Longer form, non-interactive content with a small plot, thoughtful lighting, precise camera movement, etc. Something akin to what Untied Verbeger makes. I love movies and would love to tackle the production process.
I'm developing a process for making new characters based on what I learned with Jax 2.0. I have ideas on how to do it but I need to test it and I got some help to do so! With that said, I'd like to add more characters to my roster this year! Spruce of course and then some others that people voted for in a poll last year.
Moving forward, I am planning to offer my paid subscribers more value by having exclusive camera angles for them to enjoy in interactives. I don't want people missing out though, so I was thinking of doing 2 camera angles for everyone: main 3rd person view and a pov view. Because I know there are people that prefer one over the other and it wouldn't be fair to have POV always under a subscription fee. The additional views would be closeups, wide shots, and other alternate angles. I still don't plan to lock any actual scenes behind a subscription either. Only additional camera angles.
As far as games go, I want to keep public releases sparse with only significant stable updates, with subscribers getting regular beta updates.
The Donut interactive is coming along nicely. I have only a few scenes left to finish before it's complete. Then I can begin working on the YCH recolors! I appreciate everyone's patience while I fulfill their commission! This animation is BIG and the hands and anus have a lot of controls to work with, so it's taken longer than anticipated.
I would like to hear from you! Do you have any comments, suggestions, critiques about my work? What do you think of the extra camera angles being subscriber exclusive? Do you have other ideas I can implement for subscribers to give more value to their subscription? Are you satisfied with the content I'm releasing? What would you like to see more of this year? I'd be happy to hear from you!
Hope you all have a wonderful day and a stellar start to 2025!!
Cheers,

Settling In
Posted a year agoBeen a BUSY busy week. I'm exhausted. I initiated the moving process on September 1st and have been slowly dragging furniture around and unpacking boxes. Also had to do a second move of things from my storage unit this past Saturday that have been in there for years. I forgot what I had in there lol. Still a few straggling things at the old place that I'm getting this Wednesday that coincides with a visit from the maintenance guys doing a moving inspection. Still a bunch of boxes to go through. Some haven't been opened since I moved out of my mom's house 15 years ago. Oh the treasures (or crap) I'll surely find lol.
Got an update to Playing With Food that should be ready for the 15th. I completely re-rendered it. It has new lighting and a new camera angle, as well as a new animation sequence. The lighting design is thanks to some lighting tutorials I followed during some down time. I hope you guys like it! Always trying to improve.
Outside of moving and such, I'll be starting work on a longer animation but I hope to finally start doing more frequent animations here moving forward. Life has been life-ing it up a lot lately with packing/moving, financial hurdles with the move, and motivational issues when everything just feels like a lot. As boxes start getting emptied and things find their place in the various rooms, I think I'll find it much easier to work.
Thank you all for your continued support and patience! I hope you all had a great start to your September!
Cheers,
Spruce.

Good News!
Posted a year agoI signed a lease for a new apartment which I'll be moving into September 1st! While that's happening, there will obviously be a massive decrease in the amount of work hours I can put in on the commissions and other content.
Thank you so much for all of your support and I'm looking forward to this new place! It's cheaper but better. It's in a cheaper area than where I'm at now. I think this is going to provide a massive improvement to my day to day mood which in turn will hopefully see higher motivation to work on these wonderful animations for you guys!
Cheers,
Spruce
PS. I'm not looking forward to packing and hauling x_x

Unfortunate Delays
Posted a year agoA general update on things.
In regards to the Treating Ranger YCH commissions, there have been several delays. I thought I had everything sorted but I keep finding mistakes with my new process. It doesn't help that I had to rebuild the whole project in DaVinci from Premiere. And I discovered that the template files I made in order to streamline the process had small differences that I didn't notice until after the renders were finished. So now I'm re-rendering everything. I feel so broken, ngl. I thought I had this all figured out but week after week of not having a smooth process has been whittling me down.
Additionally, I've been looking at apartments and it's been stressing me out. The area I'm looking in is 2 hours away so it's at least 4 hours of driving every time I want to tour a potential place. I think I found one finally that I'm pre-approved for but I still need to look at it sometime this week.
On top of trying to set aside enough money to pay a security deposit on a new place, my roommate just informed me that she's gonna be short (again) on her half and guess what, rent is due in 3 days! I wanna scream and/or hide in a pillow. I can't take anymore commissions right now. I got 6 that need to be finished yet and 4 more that are rendering and needing to be edited and delivered. I might do a Buck Club sale or something, idk.
For those who are waiting for their YCH commission, please continue to be patient. I'm getting through them.

A Series of Fortunate Events
Posted a year agoLots has been going on here in the world of Spruce Moki Animation Studio. Let me just go through some of the big things so you're all kept up to date.
1. Poll Results
- The results of the poll asking which model I should make next in order of most votes to least: Spruce, Dutch, Vin, Glas, Spruce Cousin (Douglas possibly), Max, Vernon. And then the following are write in suggestions: '98 Zilla, big chubby bull, someone's own character, Eevee, Spyro or Spirit, giant wolf, updated Ranger, hippogryph.
- We had 100 pollsters! And actually the 100th voter was responsible for breaking a tie between Dutch and Vin. Spruce had a commanding lead with 38 votes.
2. Content Updates
- I've just begun work on an AV interactive project between Jax 2.0 and Malfaren (and his new booty). I was experimenting with an anus rig and I think I got something that I like. I apologize for starting so late. It's been a very busy few months and I've been trying to keep up.
3. Learning Curve/Abandoning Adobe
- After Adobe's ridiculous TOS changes, I spent about a week researching and acquiring competitor software. It was easier said than done. Adobe is popular for a reason. Their software is really good. I needed to replace Photoshop, Premiere, and Substance Painter. Ultimately I think I'll stick with Substance Painter. I just can't find a suitable replacement and thankfully it's a separate subscription from the CC Suite. For Photoshop I ended up with Affinity Photo 2 (I ended up getting their package with Photo, Design, and Illustrator equivalents for only $89 on time payment. It was on sale.). For Premiere, I opted for DaVinci Resolve. That, honestly, was a super easy decision. It's FREE and can do most things you need and even can be used for commercial purposes. Even their pro version is only $300 (one time payment for life) so I might get that eventually. Plus DaVinci can do more than Premiere. It has built in comp capability, color grading, and audio mixing.
- With that being said, there's been an intense sudden learning period. I've had to put in numerous days of training just to know how to use them and what they're capable of. I still haven't finished the overview video for DaVinci. It's over 5 hours long and it's DRAINING but good. And that's just an overview. It doesn't go into specifics. Just teaches me how different parts of the program functions. Surely I'll be looking things up as I go along as I need to.
4. New rendering techniques
- In addition to the new software, I also have tackled developing a new rendering process to improve efficiency and flexibility. I wanted the ability to have my scene elements on separate layers which I would then comp in post. Like layers for background, characters, shadows, and environmental fog. This was a week long process alone learning about render layers and how to update my offline command line render script to run correctly. Still working on the kinks (giggity). But this will significantly help with YCH animations where only the characters are changing. I render the background, shadows, and fog effects once and only render the characters. This will save so much time with rendering in the long run.
5. If you're still reading, please comment your thoughts! I have been doing my best to bring new content to you guys and I have been failing. But I also want you guys to be aware that I haven't been sitting on my ass. I have been absurdly busy with finishing Jax 2.0 and the above things. I think the learning of things is winding down so I can start moving focus to animation and modeling again.

Website is back up, mostly!
Posted 2 years agoSpruceMoki.com is live again!
HOWEVER
I had to revert to a backup from December 31st, 2023.
So for anyone who's Buck Club transactions occurred between December 31st and January 7th, I am manually rebuilding the transaction. There's about 60 of you and I abhor clerical work. But I aim to get this straightened out.
In other news, enjoy the new animation!

Sorry for any inconvenience. As soon as the website is back up, I will be uploading the latest animation ASAP.

New Release Schedule
Posted 2 years ago1st and 15th of the month.
Wrapping up the bulk of my training! Thank you all so much for being patient. Starting in September I will be resuming a "two animations per month" release schedule. The content will also be expanding as I plan to add more variety in characters in the coming months.
Some posts will be multi-part but not necessarily an interactive, similar to The Cave.
Some posts will be one-off short animations.
I will be shifting further into NSFW territory as I create my new characters. Though I am planning to release both SFW and NSFW versions where possible. Obviously a cock vore animation is NOT SAFE FOR WORK lol
From a recent Discord poll, I will be focusing more on longer animations than short ones. Thank you to those who participated.
WITH ALL THAT BEING SAID, I am moving to a new apartment next week. So I will try, but no guarantee, to have something out for the 15th this month. The move was a very sudden decision within the last few days but I had planned on doing this before so I'm going to try to stick to it.
Again, thank you all for your continued support, especially my subscribers on Patreon and Buck Club. I could not do my work without your generous contribution. I hope to continue to earn your generosity.
Cheers,
Spruce

Coursework
Posted 2 years agoConsider this a journal.
I have been increasingly disappointed in my work, not necessarily for the animation or feedback, but my models are stale and I can't do much about it. A lot of other animators have such a wide selection of creatures and characters to choose from thanks to so many artists working in Blender. I, however, do not work in Blender. I work in Maya instead. I've invested too much into Maya to switch now though and unfortunately, I really don't know anyone that I could ask for help in regards to making new models to animate with. Well, I know one person but they don't touch NSFW material so that's not an option. The other issue, due to my lack of rigging experience, is that I find it incredibly difficult to modify an existing model to better suit the animation. Like adding an anus to a character/creature. I just don't have a lot of spare energy to learn, and to learn with consistency. Now it's been a couple months since I was last able to continue my coursework and I have forgotten a fair amount because I'm not consistently using the knowledge.
The solution:
I'm going to halt work on the next project I was originally planning for July 5th and pour my time and energy into modeling/rigging coursework. Realistically it's only 40-50 hours of course videos, but we all know actually going through the videos involves pausing and trying the concept being taught, as well as repeating content or practicing before moving on. I feel confident that if I focus on coursework without having to worry about a big project, I'll be able to finish it and apply it.
The goal:
After completing the coursework, I should be able to make new models, modify old models, and even rig it all. I'll be able to improve the quality of the characters/creatures being used. I can modify any of them in order to achieve a special goal if necessary. And with every new model/rig I'll get faster and better. I'll be able to have a wider variety of "cast members" so to speak.
But don't worry - I do have new content coming out for July. I have a small sponsored update to Treating Fenrir featuring weight play as well as a wonderful audio upgrade to Dragon's Trap.
Thank you for your understanding and patience while I take my skills and work to the next level.
Feedback, questions, concerns welcome

Feral Canine YCH Maybe???
Posted 2 years agoI'm just wondering if there's any interest for doing a ych recolor for the Treating Fenrir animation/interactive. I'm not sure on pricing yet but it'll probably start similarly to the horse ych's I've done.
If you have a canine character or you want to put your character's colors on Fenrir, please let me know! If there's enough interest, then I'll organize a proper post for it.
Example of a recolor ych - https://sprucemoki.com/the-wobbly-west/
