Short story: Anyone on the North side of Modesto looking for a roommate?

The Story:

I really wanted to start the year well despite everything. I really did. I was fighting tooth and nail to stay in a good mood with all the shit happening around me, but I got screwed over.

As some of you know, my parents divorced and my mom pretty much just took her half and left, footing my dad with half pay and still having to pay off the house. I was gonna be helping with that. (By the way he also moved out. I'm Steward of the house.)

Family is staying over and Dad came to visit. I can't clean up after all of them fast enough and dad got pissed about some of the messes. He set the date and made the calls. House is gonna be sold by the end of April.

I need to keep the job I have for at least three years. Every time I get a job SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS. I gotta have a stable thing on my resume.

I try not to use my anxiety as an excuse, but I do need to be close to work for it not to flare up.

I'll live out of my car if I have to but I MUST keep this job.

If there's nothing you can do, moral support is also very appreciated!

My one big rule is to leave me artistic freedom. These are cheap and quick and pretty clean, done on an android tablet! To be done as they come. By no means should one of them become a multi-shift project. D= You can be picky, but not too much.

Hey alls!

Anyone who's been wanting to talk to me, lemme know via note. I've been getting a lot of new contacts lately, which is great! Though please keep in mind that I speak a lot better to people who actually want to try to become at least good acquaintances and not one-track-minded-role-players. I mean, RP is nice and all, but I would rather do that with people who genuinely show interest in being a good person or an even better friend.

I'm pretty sure I can belt out some good art fairly fast. If you opt for color, don't be super picky about it! >I It's only $2.

Using the stabilizer for extra smooth lines is on/off for me and will be complimentary if it happens. Tell me if you specifically DON'T want extra smooth lines and I'll avoid that.

If you want specific details, tell me in the initial note along with your reference link(s). I can't afford to do a ton of remakes due to lack of detailed directions anymore; and I would really like to get these done quickly so that the wait time is minimum!

I start at a job today! Trial basis sort of thing. I'm gonna get paid to punch people who don't pay their bills~

Not really. I'm gonna call people and remind them they have bills to pay.

HOWEVER. Much to popular belief, that doesn't mean I'll have money. >[ With job comes bills on which I've been given slack for the past 4 years while I was looking for work. With this job being extremely part time and a rather large distance away compared to my wages, the only thing this is really changing is that I'll finally not be leeching off my parents. So stop asking me for money or trying to bode me into commissioning you. I will be in the red until I get more positions in the company.

And on that: If on the rare occasion I ask about getting a picture, I'm really tired of being told how much it'll cost. Just tell me no! Don't make me feel like a loser who doesn't even have a fiver. I wouldn't even feel so bad about it if these people didn't draw amazing stuff free for others all the time anyway.

~NOW ABOUT THIS JOB~

Far enough away to make me have to buy gas at least twice a month.
- I can get a bus pass.

3 hour days.
- Allows me to have bad sleeping habits and I get home in time to meet friends here on them internets.

Office is in a VERY bad part of town.
- Hookers are on the next road over I don't have to risk my luck in the midst of downtown! That seriously had me worried. I have horrible luck when driving downtown.

Trial position
- There's nothing really good to counter that with aside from me having my foot in the door of a successful company's exclusive employment list. They're seriously just seeing if I'll fit the budget at the time.

My computer is, like, ten. I need a new tower. I haven't been able to oC for months and this thing is really fickle about letting me do more than just draw at one time. Even music sometimes causes lag!

MSN tried to gussie itself up too hard and fell down the stairs. I've been permanently missing a few contacts for a while now. Some of you already know who you are!  C-Trigger has wanted a PS3 for a while now, and it's his day! I found one used once on craigslist and borrowed up some money to get it, but haven't much in the ways of making that money back yet.

Good stuff: I can drive again and am insured for half a year! Parents are giving me an older Cressida with a CD CHANGER, YO. Also found some nice thrift store clothes that make me appear very interview ready. I can draw again, too! There's really a lot of other small good things, but I don't remember right at the moment.

Kinda but not so bad: Had to close my checking account. Didn't get the bank note that free checking isn't at my bank anymore and had a few fees taken due to that. I did manage to get one of the payments back before closing up; so it ain't all that bad.

The skinny: Can't use paypal without a verified checking account. Looking into a new bank close enough to home to make it worth the walk/fuel.

THE FAT: COMMISSIONS FOR THINGS I DON'T NEED A.K.A. PARTICULAR STEAM GAMES, PS3/3DS POINTS/GAMES.

The rest: How can someone like me with no income and very little cash get his hands on a few high end things? Odd jobs that don't pay in cash or the rare good trades on craigslist. Why people on craigslist always gotta wanna trade two tiers up? >[

I have a tablet again! Thanks to my sister and Monoprice, I'm once again able to draw.

It'll take a while to get used to. I've become accustomed to drawing directly on the affected surface.

Oh, and I finally fixed my tablet PC again after weeks of trying. Fixed it the day before the tablet got here. I'm gonna make sure I save my tablet PC the way it is for a while! I don't want it to just be a laptop. I like its tablet capabilities! Great for travel. I'm pretty sure I can eventually refurbish it to work like new.

More importantly: My cat gets to see a vet! He's never been, so we have to get all them papers done up. Expensive. I've actually been waiting a couple weeks since I was told I was finally gonna get help paying for it, but it's almost time now. HOORAY FOR KITTY~

EXCELSIOR TO ALL AND TO ALL A MERRY HALLOWEEN

My tablet is dead, and with it my only source of income. I doooo have a small Wacom Graphite. Yes, it says Graphite on the back; not Graphire. Though it's so small and my wrist is so shakey that I may as well be drawing with an etch-a-sketch. =I Which... actually sounds like a fun idea now, except I don't have one anymore. I already know I won't be able to get help here, but I'm casting my line out beyond hope!



And now some bitching about why this won't work.
Some dingus has been going around convincing a ton of people that I'm the devil. Whoever it is knows a hell of a lot of artists on this site, which is really unfortunate for me! Those of you who've known me (and I mean actually known me. Not just tried to get art or RP from me) know that I do my best to be a nice guy! So successful troll is successful; and I've been completely ignored by a lot of folks from everything from asking to oC, to trying to get in on cheap commissions with slots well available. I mean... I've been guilty of really spouting off about one or two guys to a very select number of trusted friends a few years ago to spare myself a broken fist, but I never riled the entirety of an art site against someone!

I totally believe that some people are just born unlucky, but I also believe in karma. What do I have to do? I've been jobless for three years despite full effort, I can't get any financial aid for college, I don't even have a small workspace for tests or repairs!

I'm normally happy despite everything! My life could easily be way worse. Still, gotta get greedy and think of myself to get a future, and so far fate seems to be forcing me to wait for life to just... find me. Any attempts I have at looking for a future get halted or even beaten down before anything can even happen.

And that's that! Hopefully typing this'll actually help me feel better.

Circumstances have arisen; and I'll be running in Bay to Breakers this year. I gotta start runnin' every day again! Usually my birthday is just like any other day, so this'll be waaaay different. =I

Also, yes, I actually remembered my birthday this year. Is this the start of a new Sqeaks? Will I have the option of college or a job soon? Stay tuned for next time I remember that I can write an FA journal!
