About Commissions
Posted 7 years agoI plan to open for general commissions on Friday (as usual RPG Portraits are always open), but i'm gonna be trying something new. Since there is a lot of demand and i don't take much on at once, i frequently get complaints about missing slots and timezone issues. So this time i am going to try a Google form opening and leave the form open for Friday/Saturday for all submissions. Then i will choose which orders to work on. I've seen plenty of artists do this and i want to try it at least once to see if it works out for me and people in other timezones. If it doesn't work out well then i'll go back to my usual first-come-first-serve method.

Opening for commissions! Anything goes! I've got a few things to mention this time;
1. I've made a couple changes to my ToS and my working process. From now on i will not be sending out lineart previews. If you've worked with me before you'll know i send out pretty dang clear sketches already, and that the lineart hardly ever varies from the sketch. Skipping this stage will knock off a whole day from the completion time! So now you'll be updated at the sketch and flats stages.
2. I have altered the base of my comprehensive ref sheet. It now has an added 3 alt. expressions for a total of 8. This has come at the cost of the micro chibi that used to be on the sheets. I am SO DONE with micro chibis. The alt. outfits section has been made slightly larger too! You can see how the new base looks here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2xgguvg9a.....eview.png?dl=0
3. Sometime soon i will be dipping my toes into NSFW commissions, whoa! For now they will only be YCH commissions. You can see my NSFW account at

Changing Method?
Posted 8 years agoI think the next time i open for commissions (October) i may change my working process slightly.
Thinking about skipping the lineart preview stage. The WIP sketches that i send out are usually super clean anyway, and hardly ever vary significantly from the lineart WIPs. I usually even comment "not too different from the sketches!" so i'm wondering if i'll just not bother with that part and move right on to the flats WIP previews. I've been working hard at being more social. Suddenly i'm using my twitter (@zhampip) like fire and meeting new people, it's fun!
Also i got a Switch for my birthday (it was the 3rd of August), so you should add me if you have one too! SW-7844-8867-6864
But funnily enough there's not really any games i want for it until Xenoblade 2 and Mario Oddessy LOL. I would get Splatoon 2 but i only really like playing turf war and it's expensive just for that. The previous game was budget price here in the UK, haha. I might even double dip on Zelda tho. Portable games is such an attraction.
I'm also getting printed in two fanzines!
One's a kemono super hero book that is looking FANTASTIC: (@AlphaAnthology) https://twitter.com/AlphaAnthology

I had a freakout this morning when my computer randomly decided to delete my SAI save folder. I mean, i had just backed up all my stuff like three days ago before openig commissions, but shiiiiit, it still sucks. Posted 9 years agoIs it just me and rose-tinted glasses or has Firefox turned to complete garbage. Bit of hyperbole there, but damn i just can't deal anymore. It chugs and hangs nearly everytime it has to load a gif and everytime it updates it breaks Flash. I tried not using Flash for a few months 'cause it's a mess as well, but i needed it to watch the last Ninteno Direct, so reluctantly installed it again. Stop being shit Firefox, i loved you!
