Like seriously, I was able to help my family a lot this month because so many of you commissioned me <33 It's so humbling. Seriously, thank you all.
I may consider having an annual Destiny sale, but we'll see about that.
HOWEVER---while the 20% off Destiny sale is over, there WILL be another sale in June (haven't decided on the date yet, but it will be early June). This sale will be:

What counts for the Destiny sale you may ask? Well here ya go:
1.) Canon Characters from the game Destiny.
2.) Fanmade Destiny Characters/OCs.
3.) Fanmade NON-Destiny related Characers/OCs
but they are wearing clothing or armor from
to the same world.
4.) Fanmade Characters NOT related to the game
being paired romantically, platonically, etc. etc.
with/against Canon Destiny Characters.
5.) Canon characters from ANOTHER fandom
interacting with ME Canon Characters and/or
Destiny OCs romantically, platonically,
as adversaries, etc.
6.) !!Sketch commissions DO NOT count for the 20% off sale!!!
Even if the sketch in question is related to Mass Effect, those prices
just can't get lower. But ALLLL other commission types (color/inks only, etc.)

While I vastly prefer you guys email me about commissions (you'll find the email in the link above), you may ask as many questions as you like here on FA :) I would be more than happy to give price quotes as well. Additionally, due to my father's decreasing health, I had to make a change to my regular commission TOS. Instead of receiving the sketch of your commission within seven days or less to look over, it'll be TWO WEEKS or less!
I have had to go to mannnnny doctors/oncologist appointments (often made last minute) for my father. So sadly this change is necessary. Though if you have commissioned me before, then you KNOW that I'll likely get your image finished within seven days or less anyway XD the 'two weeks' thing is more or less a precaution in case I have to take care of my father suddenly.
Lastly:
In March, there will be a 20% off sale for any commissions relating to the game Destiny!!! So keep that in mind!!

March 2020 Sale!!

For those who didn't see my last journal entry here's a quick summary: I asked people here on FA and on twitter to vote for my next 20% off sale!! This is a bit unusual since usually I have one or two sales at the MOST per year, but due to my father's poor health, I truly do need the extra money. So there will be a FEW sales this year!!!
I combined the votes on FA to those on twitter and it was unanimous:
In March 2020 there will be a 20% off sale for all commissions related to the game DESTINY!!!

Dragonball got second place in the vote so there will be a 20% off sale for dragonball content in either June or July!

I'm so sorry for the long wait everyone but at least now I can give you a CONCRETE date for when commissions will return. Sadly with all the commissions I STILL have to finish, on top of seeing tons of doctors (even getting a second opinion from another oncologist) for my father's cancer---things have been difficult.
Despite taking 'time off' I'm still working very hard on the commissions I HAVE and helping my family out.

I will be updating my journal and twitter periodically to let you guys know exactly WHEN commissions will be open. Customers who have PMed or emailed me BEFORE I closed commissions please do not panic :) I would be more than happy to draw images for you!
That being said, NOT all commissions are closed:
SKETCH COMMISSIONS WILL REMAIN OPEN!
Why? Because sketch commissions are easy to do (hence why the prices start at only $3.00 USD) and frankly XD I'm a work-a-holic. I HATE taking time off, but the circumstances surrounding my father's health, my photoshop issues, and the list of comms that I currently have kind of forced my hand.

Also if you contacted me yesterday or the day before about getting an image, but we still haven't finalized anything? No worries--I'll still honor the sale for you.
Now, sadly, I have a bunch of news to get through one being:
I MIGHT be temporarily closing commissions for a few weeks.
Here's the story:
Only a few weeks ago my father was diagnosed with gallbladder cancer. We are all hanging in there here at home, but it's been tough. Many hospital visits, even went to the ER on christmas Eve due to some previous surgery complications he had. So really, I do appreciate all the support! Every bit helps!
Additionally I've also been having some computer troubles. Thankfully it's NOTHING like before where I had to get the computer repaired buuut here it goes:
So I have a Mac (now heavily considering getting a PC) and it updated to Catalina. For those who don't know, Catalina is a HORRID update where all 32 bit programs cease working unless the developers make them 64 bit. This includes tons of games on Steam and especially.....Photoshop CS6.
For those who don't know, I work in two art programs: I ink in Clip Studio and color in Photoshop.
So I tried turning my computer back to Mojave but the ONLY way I could do that (since I don't understand Time Machine) was to basically reset it and such). icloud saved my files but I had to reinstall all of my programs, my tablet driver, annnnnd I stupidly forgot to back-up my bookmarks on google chrome so LOL no more of that.
Now, I bought Photoshop CS6 years ago and still have the physical disk, the box that holds it and the brown cover with the bar codes, etc. on it---but somehow....none of those things have the serial number. I was with Adobe support for HOURS trying to figure this out. Problem is the program is so old and I never registered it so it was tough. Thankfully Adobe did offer a solution but it'll take 24 to 48 hours to impliment. I REALLY hope this solution works but until then, I will be coloring in Clip Studio.
Now again, I do all my LINES in Clip Studio and believe it or not? I do color in that program sometimes too (even a few commissions you may have seen) so again while this has been a VERY distressing time, it isn't the worst situation. I can at least draw.....but without photoshop my art might take a tad longer than usual to finish :/
TLDR; due to my family stuff, this computer bullshit, and a slew of new commissions that have come through I '''might''' be closing commissions for a few weeks.PLEASE check out my journal here on FA or on my Twitter for any future updates where I will confirm whether or not it's happening. I just feel so overwhelmed right now, my birthday is also this weekend and I'm in NO mood to celebrate....

N7 DAY SALE UPDATE!

Predator Comics?
Posted 6 years agoHey random question but since I rarely meet folks who read Predator stuff, do any of you guys have some comic recommendations?
The last interesting series I read had Ahab and Galigo (which like....FINALLY we get some good pred/human interaction). Have there been any NEW Predator comics that've caught your eyes?

However, it's been brought to my attention that asking these sorts of this publicly about my work puts all of YOU on the spot---whether it be out of fear of sounding 'mean' or encouraging others to BE 'mean' in their responses. Gotta remember this is the internet--- even with the best intentions, it can sadly end up with very mixed results. My apologies to everyone on that one.
Still though, I do appreciate the feedback from each and every one of you. Gonna maybe experiment with different art styles and such in the future. I'll even let you know in the description of certain images that I'm myb 'copying' the DBZ style, a more 'loose' cartoon-y look, or even gonna try as an experiment with some anime styles (like 'Free!' or 'Goblin Slayer', etc.---to branch out). All this just to hopefully get that twinkle of inspiration back!
Plus, I so rarely try to draw in other art styles? So I think it'll be a fun experiment to give it a shot :D

I guess that's just this site though---it's more of a 'gallery' than trying to help ppl interact w/ one another (which is fine I suppose).

Do you guys think my work is getting worse? Or do you have any tips or things you'd like to see more of from me?
Perhaps it's just the typical 'artist vibe' where I'm just feeling down about my work....but I just feel like it's not getting any better. SADLY the price it cost to fix my computer was pretty much exactly the amount it needed to fix my car @_@ so it's been a ramen noodles kind of month. I could REALLY use the help if you can spare it??

COMPUTER FIXED! Commission/Sale status!
Posted 6 years agoWHOOO! My computer is back, fixed, feels so new and NOTHING was wiped :D so I have all my stuff!! <333
However, commissions will remain closed until I finish with my customers who were wonderfully patient enough to wait during these trying times. After, I will reopen commissions annnnnd due to this new expense I will be keeping the 15% off sale throughout June of this year as well.

Posted 6 years agoLOL so on top of a large car repair bill, my computer needs fixing now.
Sadly going to have stop taking commissions and sketches for 3 to 8 business days until it is fixed.
Thankfully everything is backed up just in case the repairs go into the battery/drive.
Ughhhh. I feel so down right now....might have to extend the sale into the next month guys just to break even on these bills.

In my last journal entry I talked about possibly having a customer show me an ID with their DOB on it to CONFIRM that their over 18 and can receive NSFW commissions from me. It's still an idea to consider, especially since so many minors do lie about their age to get NSFW art----not fully realizing they can send said artist to JAIL for doing so.
But I think I have a cleaner solution thanks to
DrkKaiser!
From now on, if you want an NSFW commission from me you will have to fill out the following NSFW FORM
This form not only goes over what type of commission you want but also has the following agreement:
"I hereby confirm that I am at least 18 years of age or older and will be accepting legal ramifications for falsifying information on this form, if any apply. It is a federal crime to sell NSFW content to minors. I confirm to the artist that I am an adult and thus, allowed to receive this material legally. Please sign with your name/username below. "
Again....nothing is foolproof but I do think this is necessary ESPECIALLY for NSFW content. So yeah! :D gonna be handing out this form a few times for sure. I also have SFW one made just to save time if you wanna check that out here.
NOTE: NEW CLIENTS I MAY STILL ASK YOU FOR IDS IF YOU WANT NSFW CONTENT! I WANT TO BE AS CAUTIOUS AS I CAN!

Posted 6 years agoWhen I first got into NSFW art, I sorta looked at it as a lesson in anatomy. Not necessarily in a 'sexy' way but a means to help me draw figures interacting w/ one another. For instance, two people hugging was one of the most difficult things for me to draw years ago but now it's instinctual as I've drawn figures in more intimate circumstances.
It's been such fun too! There are some lovely NSFW art pieces out there that have inspired me :) ----that being said.....while I've always asked a customer (when it's their first time commissioning NSFW) whether or not they're 18 or over....I think I'm going to double down on this more than ever. It's insane and frankly horrifying that there are minors out there who lie about their age to get NSFW art with or without realizing they put US adult artists in serious danger. It is the shittiest, and one of the most selfish things a person can do to NSFW content creators. Adult artists can go to prison for a MINIMUM of 15 years even if they were lied to ---while the ''''kid'''' in question gets off scott free.
Reading up more on this....I will be asking anyone wanting NSFW art for an ID with their DOB in view (you of course may redact all other info especially that of your address).It's not foolproof----nothing is. And ALL messages with every one of my customers IS archived at least. Still.....for my own safety and others I hope you all understand why I must do this. If you are a minor on this blog please know that your mere presence puts all NSFW artists in danger should you interact with us. You are NOT helping.
I always block minors without hesitation but that too isn't foolproof. Again....nothing is.

I always block minors without hesitation but that too isn't foolproof. Again....nothing is.
I know I'll isolate some of you by making this change---but I feel, again, for my own safety (and yours) it's for the best.
I was VERY close today to thinking of quitting making NSFW art in general. At times the consequences outweigh the benefits. But I'm willing to see where this stage in my life goes
but part of me hopes there will be a day where I don't have to worry about this. :/

Ko-fi Changes--SKETCH COMMISSIONS!

For those that don't know, I offer sketch commissions for tips starting at $9.00 USD. These sketches NOW can include up to three characters and can be NSFW if you are over 18 years of age. Check out my ko-fi page in the link below for examples of the sketches I make.
The big change is that this is no longer exclusive to dragonball---you heard me! :D
You can now get sketches of your OCs/Sonas who have nothing to do with dbz in any way!
However if you want CANON characters from any series, I'm limiting this to only dragonball AND NOW THE GAME DESTINY!
Yup! :D want a sketch of your oc with cayde-6 or goku? No problem! Let me know if you guys have any questions, please note that the rules are on my ko-fi page linked below:
