Venting.....

Sorry to rant here but I guess I wanted to type somewhere public but not so public as twitter. Just feeling especially low today as it sorta dawned on me that my friend for many years just.....isn't my friend anymore. It's been about a year since I've seen her and I forgot to wish her happy birthday (even just online) and she hasn't done the same. Back when we talked/saw eachother we got into a few fights. The last time we were face to face is when I stayed one week at her house.
All was GREAT except for the last day.
On the final day, we were in the city and she was meeting up with a friend for some pokemon stuff. Now while I don't like pokemon I thought: "Oh, ok this is fine. We'll do some pokemon things and then other stuff too." But nah.....it was when pokemon Go first came out so we spent all day in the FREEZING cold walking around the city for pokemon. We diiiid go to a gamestop at the end which was nice but due to the weather and having spent the WHOLE day on pokemon things (which I don't care for) naturally I was upset.
So we got into a fight about it and now we haven't talked much since. A silly thing to get upset about, but I guess it just NOW dawns on me about how final this all is. We'd been friends/roommates for years.....but....it's all gone. And don't get me wrong, we had other issues besides the pokemon thing haha----but that was the last 'straw' I guess. Sad considering that the WHOLE week I had spent with her was great save for that last day......
The ironic thing is, if we were ever to meet up again she'd just act like everything is ok and carry on normally. Part of me likes that, while another part would want to confront her on our previous issues. Buuut that's just it.....I'm a coward at heart. I never contact ANYONE....even if we're on GOOD terms. I'm always doing comms in my room or IRL work in an office.....but not much else goes on for me. I'm just too afraid to message someone or even text casually. I've pushed so many people away.........nearly everyone I've ever known because of this. People I didn't even MEAN to push away unlike with my friend mentioned above. At least with her I knew 'why' it ended.
I'm nearing 30 and I still don't know how to pick up the phone and call someone socially XD I am pathetic...but.....I guess all this solitude gives me time to work on art. I do want to get better, but idk if I ever will. Idk what i can do. Haven't been to the movies in over a year cause I don't have anyone who lives less than two hours away to go with. @_@
Again, sorry for the rant. Just needed to vent (obviously). I'm super grateful for everyone here. FA has got to be the FRIENDLIEST site for artists I've come across. I know there's BS here (As there is everywhere) but my personal experience has been very positive. Thank you all for that.

Posted 6 years agoJust wanted to give a big thank you to all of you who've stuck with me despite changing fandoms so often XD I've always considered myself a 'fandom jumper.' In that, my interests are OFTEN fickle and I'll 'jump' from one thing to the next easily. Either way, just am so grateful for all of you. I hope to get better as the years go on, become a GREAT artist with a style people truly enjoy. Maybe learn how to color properly haha. Either way, thank you all again and please do have a wonderful day :)

Maintaining Sites? (rant)
Posted 7 years agoHey guys @_@ ugh things be intense since the whole tumblr thing. Thankfully you can find me on me here and on my twitter/pillowfort/newgrounds accounts under the same name. That being said.....damn.....how do you guys maintain all these sites? :/
I think I overstretched myself as I never update my deviantart or weasyl accounts (the latter of which I may start uploading to again, we'll see). Inkbunny is only there cause it was before I knew of the bad rep of their site. I keep hearing bad things about the furry network @_@ so idk what to do there....bleh.....I guess my main focus is here and twitter, but not sure I like how exposed it is on twitter...bleh....
At this point the main reasons I still have DA, inkbunny, and weasyl listed are just to show you guys that those are MINE even though I never update them. :/ .....anyone have advice on maintaining this stuff? Or better yet, some site recommendations that are similar to FA n' such?

I mean it's fine getting commissions every once in awhile (though it is 99% turians) but I just....don't have the drive for it tbh. Instead I'll do some YCHs here in November. Been going back and forth on whether or not I'm going to do my annual 20% off Mass Effect Sale on N7 DAY?? Due to the new DBZ Broly movie coming out I'm for SURE having a 20% off Sale for Dragonball commissioned art (kofi sketches NOT included--those will be the same price)
but should I have the mass effect sale too? Or forget it? Would any of you guys even be interested in buying ME art??
Ideas are as follows:
Option A.) Have the ME sale starting November 7th - November 30th (a short sale but there) while the DBZ sale will last from December-January (haven't gotten the exact dates yet).

Posted 7 years agoNot sure if I want to upload more work on twitter or DA :/ been encountering such mean ppl there. Some mocking my OCs for no reason??? Even when I ask 'what is wrong?' they have no answer. Damn I wish I were a stronger artist? I wish I were one of those artists who can HANDLE this? I'm trying to 'feed' off of negative ppl, let their comments either brush off of me or make me motivated due to spite...but it's tough.
I will say though? i really love it here on FA?? You guys are so nice even though I've been SPAMMING you with DBZ stuff. It still hurts when some of you comment on my work like: "I wish you drew scarlex." or "I like this but hate this universe" ect. but idk?? I feel like I can handle the bad stuff here better, plus the copious amounts of positive comments keep me going.
Anywho, thank you all for sticking with me and also ????

That doesn't mean I don't love Destiny, Mass Effect, or Predator things cause I'm still ABOUT IT!!!! but like im glad you're all sticking with me through this. I'm just happy to have an obsession that I enjoy where i can make my own OCs and just have fun??? Hopefully no one popular will find me and make fun of this >_> as I know it's easy to make fun of....but I'm just so happy?? I love making DBZ art and RLY all kinds of art. Commissions are the most fun cause I can make someone other than myself happy about something. Posted 7 years agoHey all....this is a super distressing thing for me to write. My Internet is literally the worst and just went up and quit on me in the weirdest way?? Router registers a connection but the modem just won't connect?? I've tried everything to fix this but nada.
Also the tvs/cable in some rooms work but then don't in others? Wtf?? The earliest someone can look at it is Wednesday so hopefully commissions will reopen then. I will keep you updated via my phone. Sadly cause my computer is a mac while my phone is a samsung galaxy I can't just connect/transfer images. The program I used to use to connect those devices is also not working lmao. I hate this day~~
Anyway, no more commissions until I get this fixed! Sorry everyone, this is really brining me down . I love drawing commissions for you all :( plus fun dbz art....ugh pray for me that this gets resolved soon!

Commission TOS Updates----DESIGN FEE

March is soon at it's end, which means Sona/Self commissions will reopen in April :D! However that isn't why I made this journal. Just wanted to inform you all that i made some changes to my TOS. Basically the changes are about adding a 'character design' fee and some more details on how my commission process works.
To summarize:
Many of you have reference images of your OCs/Sonas when commissioning me, and that's AWESOME!! It really helps when there are actual pictures of your character to be drawn. What doesn't help??? When you have only 'inspiration' or 'aesthetic' images for me to work with. Some of you have provided pictures of five different characters saying:
"I want the hair of CharacterA but with the body of CharacterB, but the Colors of CharacterC" ect. ect.
This is....troublesome....as it creates TONS more work for me to basically create something out of literally NOTHING. These types of commissions cause myself and the customer to constantly go back and forth with each other on whether or not the image 'looks right.' Which is hard....since there is basically no image to work with. From now on, I'm charging an additional $30.00 USD for these types of images in addition to the type of the commission of your choice (ie: waist-up or full body, ect.). Again, you're only eligible for this fee if you have literally NO reference images of your OC/sona.
NOTE: should you have an outdated character chart or small changes needed on your OC/Sona (ie: hair color, eye shape, body type (within reason) ect.) then I WON'T charge extra. But if they're big changes?? I may.
The other change to my TOS is something many of you who have commissioned me already know: just a more detailed explanation of how my commission process works. Essentially going into how you don't have to pay for your commission in full right away. You may pay half in the beginning and the latter half when your picture is complete. Also, you will have to wait at least seven days to see the sketch of your image to look over for approval, then the inks, ect.

March is soon at it's end, which means Sona/Self commissions will reopen in April :D! However that isn't why I made this journal. Just wanted to inform you all that i made some changes to my TOS. Basically the changes are about adding a 'character design' fee and some more details on how my commission process works.
To summarize:
Many of you have reference images of your OCs/Sonas when commissioning me, and that's AWESOME!! It really helps when there are actual pictures of your character to be drawn. What doesn't help??? When you have only 'inspiration' or 'aesthetic' images for me to work with. Some of you have provided pictures of five different characters saying:
"I want the hair of CharacterA but with the body of CharacterB, but the Colors of CharacterC" ect. ect.
This is....troublesome....as it creates TONS more work for me to basically create something out of literally NOTHING. These types of commissions cause myself and the customer to constantly go back and forth with each other on whether or not the image 'looks right.' Which is hard....since there is basically no image to work with. Anyone got any ideas?? For like Perfect Cell? Or Freeza? Or cooler??? Esp. if it's cute shit? idk sry for the tiny journal entry, i just looove ideas!
EDIT: Please do not ask for me to draw pics of other things (ie: mass effect, destiny, yautja stuff, ect.) if you want to see artwork from those fandoms then plz commission it. Commissions are ALWAYS priority!

I honestly have a ton of trouble with drawing him and might even have to refuse any commissions with him until I feel comfortable drawing that annoying design.......FRIEZA ON THE OTHER HAND----is looking GREAT so far!! It's kinda eerie??? I'll have some frieza sketches up soon but lol I can't believe I draw him well??? Might have to make some cute fanarts of him being a brat and Cooler punching his face :P idk either way, just wanted to let u all know my newest obsession. It helps now that I can COMPLETELY focus on commissions again and not worry as much! TY all again for the kinds words!
NOW ONTO THE SHITPOSTING~~~!!
Been getting back into DragonBallZ lately due to the new DBZ FighterZ game @_@ damn that game brought back a HEAP of nostalgia. I remember days when my sis and I would watch Cooler's Revenge with the bands Disturbed and the Deftones ect. being part of the soundtrack. Here's the thing though, while I do LOVE that DUBBED anime nowadays pays more respect to the source material, there's something to be said about some of the old 'westernized' versions of anime you know??
Like Medabots for one just FEELs better in the DUB?? Same with Ghost Stories! Plus I love both the Ocean and Funimation Dubs of DBZ (Bruce Falconer music included--don't judge me >O-- Perfect Cell and Majin Buu's theme are the friggen BEST!!).
Anywho~~enjoy the shit post!!

Thankfully my dad is out of the hospital after being in there for 12 days due to his heart surgery. @_@ it's been intense as I've had to look out for him all this time (and have to continue driving him back and forth to appointments like an hour away) but at least the worst seems to be over!!
