3 Commission Slots Available July 19th
General | Posted 7 years agoI will have 3 regular commission slots available on Thursday, July 19th at 7:00 pm Eastern.
At that time, I'll post a new journal here and if you'd like a slot, please post a comment on that journal. This time I'll take comments #1, #2 and #8. If you post more than one comment, I will only count your first post, and replies to comments are not counted.
Please remember that both payment and descriptions are due no later than July 29th. Only one project Option per person. This is not a wait list, if you claim a slot, your commission project begins right away. Also, please send your refs and descriptions via e-mail (which I will provide) and not via note here.
All of my prices and rules can be found at https://www.duoradon.com. In the event that my site does not display correctly for you, I have copied all of the commission info into a text document you can find here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/27997846/ This is prices, rules and disclaimers all in one, so it's a rather long document, but hopefully it is organized well for you.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Website Troubles: Update
General | Posted 7 years agoThanks so much to all of you who replied to my previous journal, I really appreciate it! I'm glad to know my site seems to be working for most viewers, at least.
The problem, as I understand it, seems to be with Google. We block hotlinking on our sites (duoradon.com and artist86.com, my partner's site) because people link to our images on sites like 4chan and it sucks up our bandwidth. Our web service does not give us unlimited bandwidth so we had to quell that.
Google has recently changed its search function and they put up protection against "cloaked" images, meaning one picture shows up in the image search but when you click it, you get something different. We don't do that, but evidently Google's new search triggers our htaccess and people trying to view my images via Google will end up seeing our warning notice instead of my site. We're not actively blocking Google, but the new bot seems to think we are.
I do not currently have a fix for this. Other people are having the same problem and are equally frustrated. Google Help admits that anti-hotlinking tools will cause the problem but offer no solution that will allow you to keep htaccess.
My site is due for a complete overhaul but I'm too occupied with commissions to put much work into it right now. I hope I can find a solution by then, but for now, parts of my site might not work if you're using Google. If you access the site by typing https://www.duoradon.com in the address bar, or just use the links provided in my profile info here on FA, it should work for you.

4 Small Commission Slots Open Now!
General | Posted 7 years agoAs specified (below) I am taking 4 commission slots, the first 4 people to post a comment in this journal here. Thanks!
1. $70: Single character, full color, no background. Pose, species, etc. is up to you.
or
2. $80: 2 characters, full color, no background. You may opt for 2 separate character renderings, or 2 characters interacting together, or 2 poses of the same character if you're looking for more of a reference image, like this one: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/13243304/
Whichever option you choose, no furnishings or background material, characters can be holding props as long as it's nothing too extravagant. Text is allowable at no additional cost. As per usual, if your character is exceptionally detailed it will require an additional fee to be decided upon receiving description. Also, if you're getting adult content from me for the first time, please review my terms of service here: http://duoradon.com/main/commissions/rules.html Legal ID is required.
I will post a journal here on Saturday, June 2nd at around noon (eastern). I'll take the first 4 people to comment on that journal, assuming there are 4 of you out there that are interested. (As before, I do not count replies to other people's comments in the sign-up journal or more than one comment from the same person).
Please remember that payment is due in full at the start of your project. For all rules and procedures: http://duoradon.com/main/commission.....comstatus.html

4 Small Commission Slots Available June 2nd
General | Posted 7 years agoDue to a need for money and a lack of time, this time around I'm offering 4 simple character-only commissions on June 2nd. If you'd like a slot, you'll have one of two options:

Two Commission Slots Available Right Now :3
General | Posted 7 years agoTwo commission slots available now! If you’d like one, please post a single comment in this journal. I will take comments #1 and 6.
Please remember that your description AND payment are due no later than March 31st. After we settle on your project and it's cost, I'll let you know where to send payment (PayPal only).
__________________________________________________________________
All of my commission info (procedures, prices, what content is off limits, rules for adult material, etc) can be seen here: http://www.duoradon.com/main/commis.....comstatus.html
Each person signing up may choose only ONE of the options listed in my price menu per commission spot. If you have questions, feel free to ask anytime.
Here’s a quick run-down on how to sign up:
I’ll post a new journal here at the time listed above. If you want a spot, post a comment on that journal.
Please note that you are not signing up for a waiting list; you will have 10 days to submit BOTH your description and your payment (or half payment for large orders). So if you’re unable to start a commission at this time, please don’t claim a spot. For mature content commissions, form and ID are also required by the 10-day deadline.
Some notes on journal comments:
1) Please don’t post more than one comment on the sign-up journal. If you do, I am only counting the first comment you made.
2) If someone posts replies to other people’s comments, those are not counted either.
One More Important Note:
PLEASE send your commission write-up to me via e-mail, not FA note. Please. Why? It’s so much easier for me. I always have several commissions going at once and I need to save your info and refs together in one folder so I can keep each person’s material straight. I will also be delivering your art via e-mail or Dropbox and if I’m already communicating with you through your e-mail address, I can be sure I’m sending it to the correct person. Very rarely does a person’s e-mail and FA user name coincide; it gets very confusing. I will contact you with a note to let you know that you've got the commission slot and where to send the information, but if you then send it through a note I’m going to ask you to send it again by e-mail. Just…..help me out here.

Blade Runner 2049
General | Posted 8 years ago[No spoilers]
Now for something completely different….Blade Runner 2049 comes out on dvd this Tuesday, Jan. 16th and I can not wait to see it again. I loved this movie tremendously and the only reason I wouldn’t call it my favorite is because it’s so hard to supplant District 9. It’s definitely a close second. If you haven’t seen it, I really think you should.
You don’t necessarily have to have seen the first one to understand it, though it helps. I can’t claim to be a fanatic of the original…it was beautiful, intriguing and moving but for some reason it never really clicked with me. 2049 definitely lives up to its predecessor and there’s a good reason why; an exceptional amount of thought and care went into every single aspect of this movie. Nothing was just slapped on with a “that’ll do” attitude. Even the extras were hand picked with a look and style in mind and each one of them (over 2000) had a costume specially designed just for them. I’ve been reading The Art and Soul of Blade Runner 2049 and it’s staggering the amount of attention that went into even the smallest details.
The other thing that surprised me was how little computer effects were used. This movie is constructed largely of miniatures, matte paintings and real sets, which I didn’t realize when watching it as I’m so accustomed to CGI taking the reins these days. You can definitely feel that this movie is different. Evidently your subconscious can still tell the difference between real and fake. It’s not only refreshing to see the masters of practical effects get to practice their art but it would have been sadly ironic to CG the whole thing since the Blade Runner universe exists along a parallel analog line.
The story is every bit as masterfully crafted as the visuals (something a lot of filmmakers seem to have forgotten). Just like the original it stirs up meaningful questions about human existence that thread through a matrix of symbolism and subtext. To say that I am fond of the main character is kind of an understatement, but if you’ve ever been bullied it would be almost impossible not to sympathize with K. He’s not hard to look at, either.
Really, you should have seen it in the theater. I can’t imagine what it must have been like in IMAX. But even on my crappy little tv I’m looking forward to watching it again. It has a fair amount of female nudity in it and I STILL loved it. That’s saying a lot.

General | Posted 8 years agoAgain, many thanks to everyone who was so eager to get a commission from me. It still floors me that I'd be someone people would even pay attention to, let alone want art from that badly. I am, as always, very grateful for your continued interest! I will have more slots open within the next few months.

December 2017:
Effective immediately, I have made some changes to the way I accept payment. I’ll explain why at the bottom.
Payment for commission work is now due in full at the start of your project. You will still have 10 days from the day you claim a slot to submit your description and payment, but you will be asked to pay all of it at once.
If your order totals $250 or more, you have the option of splitting payment into 2 parts (and no more than 2), but you have to request this at the time of sign-up. The first 50% is due at the start of the project as usual, and we will choose a date for you to pay the second 50%, as opposed to whenever the sketch work is done. It will have to be a date that works for both of us and you will need to make your final payment before or on that day or you forfeit the remainder of your commission. I will complete however much work you’ve paid for and that’s all.
Also a reminder, all payments are 100% non-refundable, no matter the reason, unless I am unable to complete your order for some reason. That’s never happened before but if it does I will refund whatever amount of your order I have not completed.
So I’m asking you, please please don’t take a commission slot if you don’t have the time or money to deal with it. If you neglect to pay by the deadlines, it’s unlikely I’ll ever take a commission from you again. I really hate to do things like that to people, it makes me feel lousy, so please take your order seriously.
Why the change?
I take commissions because I need the money, simple as that. Not extra spending money, but money that determines whether I make it to the end of the month in the red or the black. And I now have more bills than before, which makes this income even more important.
I should say that it’s been a very long time since I’ve had someone completely bail on paying and I’m very grateful for that. But there was a lot of wiggle room in terms of when payment arrived for large orders. Some people take longer than others to get back to me regarding their sketch work, some projects run longer than expected, and there never was a specific deadline set for second payments, just whenever the sketches were done. Because I don’t know when to expect payment or which projects will take especially long, I have no idea if I can squeeze in another small commission, for example. I can’t fulfill commissions on a loose time frame right now. Generally speaking, when you work a regular job you get paid on regular intervals and you can plan your expenses based on that. But imagine working a week and finding out your job might pay you on Friday, or maybe the next Friday, or in 10 days….you’ll just have to wait and see. You probably wouldn’t keep a job like that.
So, if you have questions or complaints, feel free to speak them. As for new openings, I expect that to happen in January or February.
Thanks for reading.
More openings will come later as I finish up what I currently have. Please make sure you understand my new payment schedule, listed below, and all my prices and rules can be found on duoradon.com.
Thanks!

Commission Procedure Changes
General | Posted 8 years agoEffective immediately, I have made some changes to the way I accept payment.
Commissions Closed
General | Posted 8 years agoThanks for participating, commissions are closed for now! I will post updates here when more openings come along. As always, https://www.duoradon.com has all the info on how to sign up, my rules and costs, etc.
3 Commissions Available Now!
General | Posted 8 years agoThree commission slots available now! If you’d like one, please post a single comment in this journal. I will take comments #1, 3 and 7.
July 9th:
I’m taking general/regular commissions this time as opposed to the River’s Journal or otherwise themed slots. So whatever you want, in other words.
I will have 3 commission spots available on Friday, July 14th at around 8 p.m. Eastern.
This time around I’ll be taking comments #1, #3 and #7.
Please note that you are not signing up for a waiting list; you will have 10 days (so until July 24th) to submit BOTH your description and your payment (or half payment for large orders).
I will also be delivering your art via e-mail (sorry, I’m not able to use dropbox anymore) and if I’m already communicating with you through your e-mail address, I can be sure I’m sending it to the correct person. Very rarely does a person’s e-mail and FA user name coincide; it gets very confusing. I will contact you with a note to let you know that you've got the commission slot and where to send the information, but if you then send it through a note I’m going to ask you to send it again by e-mail. Just…..help me out here.

River’s Journal
I think the journal commissions went very well, thanks guys! I’d say there are plenty of pages for the journal now. I do plan on making a couple more pages on my own to cap off the thing, but I’m not sure when I’ll get to that. I’m honored people have enjoyed reading it, thanks for hanging in for so long!

Thanks, Guys!
General | Posted 8 years agoI'm back! Finally got my work space set up and am back to getting commission work done, yay! That was a massive ordeal....
Haven't had the arthritis testing yet, but thank you for the kind and supportive comments!
If you have questions for me, just know that I often don't get to my computer at all during the week, so weekends are the best time to reach me. Hope you're all having a good summer and thanks so much for hanging around ^_^

Update Report…
General | Posted 8 years agoFor those folks currently waiting on their commissions, I’m very sorry to keep you waiting. I am still making progress but it’s been slower than I’d like. I expected the River pages to go more quickly, at least.
I was sharing a house with my mom and we just moved her into her own apartment. She’s old and can’t do much physical work so I’ve had to do a lot of the move for her. And shortly, my partner and I will be moving as well. On top of which I haven’t been feeling very well….my doctor is going to test me for Rheumatoid Arthritis, so…..that’s just peachy.
But I get a little drawing done each weekend and I hope to get things moving properly once we’re settled into our new place. As always, if you have any questions regarding your commission, you may ask me any time, it’s really not a bother. Thanks for your patience!
And for those wondering about new commissions, those won’t open until the current ones are done, of course, so it’s going to be at least several more weeks. I am planning to open for general commissions next time as opposed to a specific theme like before.

River Commissions Closed
General | Posted 8 years agoMy thanks to Qwerty, Dekopuma, Caleb, Randsom and Tyler for taking the five River slots! I look forward to working with you guys :)
As there wasn't a major rush to get these, I may just take a couple more later on, after these five are done. But I will also be opening regular commissions again after River is complete.
Below are the details of the commission deal for reference.
Thanks!
_______________________________________________________________
For those who don’t know, I began a personal project many months ago called River’s Journal, in which a mink named River documents the stuffing and weight gain adventures he undergoes in a year to stock up reserves for the winter. I never completed it, having run out of ideas and time. I’d like to do that now, and get some more commission work in at the same time; two birds, one stone.
You can view the existing pages of River’s Journal (a mix of drawings and text entries) here: http://www.duoradon.com/main/artwor.....erjournal.html
So, what I plan to do is to let you guys complete his journal with your own ideas, assuming there is any interest in that sort of thing. I’ll open commission slots, if you claim one you can submit your idea for what you’d like to see happen to River and his friends, and mix in your own character, if you like. There are a lot of specifics, so please read all of this…….
I’d like to get around 20 pages completed for this, but I’ll start with 5 openings and see how that goes. I need to fill in journal entries for the rest of “summer” and all of “autumn”. Here is a sketch showing how River currently looks mid-summer (on an empty stomach) and approximately how fat he’ll be by the end, so your idea should fall inside that range.
Of course if he’s stuffed, his mid-section will be larger, but his body fat should conform to these parameters: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/23161393/
The same holds true for the other characters currently participating….Violette the vixen will roughly match his size, and Denali the wolf wasn’t intended to gain a lot of weight, but if you want him to, feel free J
WHEN:
The first 5 openings will be available via a fresh journal posting on April 15th, 2017 around 1:00 p.m. Eastern. If you’d like one, post a comment on that journal, I’ll take the first 5 posts. (Replies to people’s comments do not count). One slot per person, please.
HOW MUCH:
You can buy one page for $25 or three for $50 USD. PayPal only. You do not need to claim 3 slots to buy three pages. If you’d like any of the drawings on your page colored, please let me know when you claim a slot and we can discuss prices. The cost will vary based on how much material needs coloring.
Description and payment must be submitted within 10 days of claiming your slot.
WHAT:
The pages you will receive will be along the same line as those already done……on each page you’ll get a minimum of one large pencil drawing and two small ones, OR two medium sized drawings, plus the text describing the event. Backgrounds are minimal, if needed at all. All pages are the same height and width. They are digital files that will be posted on my site, my gallery on FA, and delivered to you via e-mail.
Characters: Each page must contain a depiction of at least one of my characters, preferably River, as it is his journal. You may make up a new character to interact with him/them, or add an OC of your own, HOWEVER:
-any new characters must be bipedal, real-world animals. No taurs, dragons, fantasy creatures, etc. Hybrids are ok as long as they’re plausible. They do not have to belong to a forest biome….for example, a polar bear or jaguar friend might be visiting.
-no child characters, please.
Text: All the written content is told from River’s point of view. You may either write it out yourself or ask me to write what I feel is appropriate based on the events you’ve described. If you choose to write it yourself, I may edit it or add something on if I feel it needs it. No cursing, please.
Content: Please try to keep the event you want depicted simple enough to fit the span of one or three pages. It’s not a long-spanning saga, just a “here’s what I did today” memoir. If you do choose to buy three, they do not have to be three parts of one entry; it can be three events on three separate days if you like.
Keep in mind this takes place in a Hobbit style countryside realm….horse and cart, simple metal tools, no cars or modern tech. I am open to magic, spells, portals and enchantments, which could offer some opportunity for an unusual character to enter the scene, but for the most part I want to keep it simple.
Some acceptable material includes:
-stuffing and weight gain (duh)
-force feeding (no pleading/suffering/torment)
-eating contests
-stuck scenes
-tasteful nudity -> You must be 18 or older to request nudity. No sexual acts or hyper-sized private parts.
Text must also be tasteful.
-peril without graphic violence
-discomfort from overeating
I have a list of content that is off-limits, which still applies to this project: http://www.duoradon.com/main/commis.....ons/rules.html
REVISIONS:
There will be no revisions made to these. I’m drawing them on paper and scanning them, which means that a normal revision would entail a full re-draw of the pic rather than just adding a patch digitally. So if you are including a character of your own, please don’t leave anything out. It will be too late to change it once you submit your description.
As there wasn't a major rush to get these, I may just take a couple more later on, after these five are done. But I will also be opening regular commissions again after River is complete.

5 River’s Journal Slots Open Now!
General | Posted 8 years agoIf you’d like to commission a page or three for River’s Journal, detailed below, please post a comment on this journal. I will take the first 5 people. Replies to other people’s comments do not count. One slot per person, please.

I think that’s about it. As always, please speak up if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hello, Friends, and Happy Easter! Many thanks to the Goddess for bringing a long-awaited spring back to our lands.

New Stuffed Lion Donation Art
General | Posted 9 years agoI haven’t done one of these in years but after the holidays and the crummy hours we’ve been getting at work, my income could use a boost. So I have a color image for sale, it features Steven’s lion because he’s pink and cute, and lions usually eat a lot anyway. It is one PNG file with 3 images of a full Lion: small belly, medium, and immobile. Full color, minimal background, file is about 3.6 MG. Here’s a little preview: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/22273278/
If you’d like it, please PayPal $10 to duoradon@hotmail.com. The file will be e-mailed to the address used for your PayPal account. If you’d like a different address, please specify that along with your payment.
Thank you, and Happy New Year!

Any Steven Universe fans out there?
General | Posted 9 years agoI needed a new journal. So I'm just gonna ramble. *dork alert*
I LOVE Steven Universe....that and Adventure Time are my two favorite shows of the past....I don't know, 10 years or so. Anyone else like it? Who's your favorite character? Mine's Peridot. Do you think she and Lapis will fuse? What was Rose doing out in the desert with a bunch of lions? Will we see Bismuth again? Is someone going to help Renaldo get his girlfriend back because that was just wrong. And what do you think of the anime influence? There are hints of Miyazaki all over this show, and being a big fan of his stuff, that's a plus in my book :)
Thoughts?
