9/24 Update - Art Slowdown

I hope you're all doing well coming up on the end of September.
As I'm sure you've noticed, my art has slowed down again. I'm currently working full time in a job that tends to go to overtime pretty easily. On top of that, I'm dealing with the end of a pretty stressful move.
I hope to get back to art soon, but I can really only make time on the weekend. If I were to make about $200 a week off art, I could stay home and do commissions, but that's sort of unrealistic.
For now, just expect slow or no posts for a while.

8/15 Update - The Return of the squeKing
General | Posted 6 years agoHey guys! I hope all of you are doing perfectly squeaktastic today~
So I'm sure it's not a surprise from my hundreds of years of inactivity on here, I've been dealing with a busy life. More importantly an art haitus of a sort. Although I don't feel guilty about my pseudo-haitus, I do hope I haven't let down you lovely watchers (and you even fewer readers of this journal).
Part of the reason I'm being so slow with art is actually due to my own self criticism. I'm a lot better at noticing flaws in art than I am knowing how to fix them. It's sort of akin to the way someone may not know how to read sheet music, but they can play by ear. I draw by ear!
Even stranger is the way I go about draw is by making dozens of sketchy/bad lines, and erasing until it looks right. This method sometimes makes me totally blind to huge anatomy mistakes when I start to grow numb to "no this isn't right" over and over again and settle. That ends up making me hate my art when I go back to look at a finished product.
I am my biggest critic.
Because of all this crap with how I am as an artist, I feel the need to apologize- specifically to the couple commission inquiries I initially accepted and then later rejected. I may have said "Life issues" or something like that, and I promise that is not untrue. It just fails to highlight why I really can't finish pieces.
I am working on this.
My most important step to getting past my self-criticism is first and foremost by drawing for personal purposes instead of cash in spite of how strapped I am for money. I wish I could say I am 100% in love with commission work, because I know a lot of artists who adore doing them. I generally just can't get into that sort of passionate drawing mode when I'm indifferent to a concept or fetish, even when the character is absolutely adorable. I've also never had a commissioner that I didn't adore. You all are so very sweet, patient, and creative!
I also need to stop blocking what I consider low quality from getting posted. That's a tough one for me because I know when I do end up opening commission slots, I want only my best to be on display. Unfortunately that just makes me feel like commissioners are getting a false idea of my skills, and I realize that's a catch 22. Regardless I need to post finished pieces even if I'm not crazy for them, whether they're anatomically correct or not.
I do hope that you are all willing to continue to support me.
Anyhow, that's that. I'm glad to have a platform, small as it may be, to talk about these things and explain myself. I greatly appreciate your love and kindness in spite of my slowness and lack of content.

I've been gone a while! Some huge life crisis involving an unforgettable luncheon, collecting a set of stones for world domination, and applying a proper amount of adhesive to a sticker. But I'm here now!

3/11 Update - Winner Announced

First and foremost, I wish to announce the winner of last weeks raffle. XenonArcher! Congratulations!

As per usual, I'm just updating on what's going on with the page for those interested. <3
So firstly, I've been doing a little personal art as well as collabs with Yiffun here on FA. It's been super fun and relaxing, and it goes well with the practice I've been doing. At this point, I've got a few pictures I could totes post, so I'll definitely get those up soon.
Along with that, I've been considering a giveaway of a sort still. I've got a few prizes in mind, but I really need ideas on what to do for giving them away. I'd prefer to not just do a random selection, but I most def don't want to ask too much of my watchers and visitors.
For the time being, I'll continue to think of ways to get that set up! There may even be a sketch or some sort of drawing given away, if I get the time.

Prices are an estimate. Complexity may require a higher price. I generally try to complete commissions in two weeks. Payment is required past sketch stage, and is to be made via PayPal. Post-sketch changes are accepted if reasonable.
Please allow up to 2 months for commissions to be finished, in the case of unplanned issues.
If a commission is past sketch stage and takes longer than 2 months, I will refund the purchase and personally finish the commission at no cost.
My personal favorite things to draw are fetishes such as latex, femboys, and bimbo. I love doing faces.
I will not draw anything involving pain/gore/blood/death, incest, rape, scat/watersports, underage, or quadruped (in terms of NSFW).
Aside from the above, I'm willing to draw a large pool of fetishes, species, and situations. If you're not sure, don't be afraid to note and ask.

I'm Healthy Again! - Freebie/Posting

I've finally gotten back into the swing of things after being sick, so I'm back to posting. I'm sure you've all noticed! I'm super excited about ideas swimming around in my head, so hopefully I can get them out on canvas soon. I'd definitely appreciate your ideas as well!
I'm thinking about doing another freebie soon, but as of this moment, I haven't thought of how to go about setting up giving it away. Either way, I haven't decided just what it may be. Could it be a full work, a sketch, a headshot?. If any of you watchers reading this have an idea how I can distribute freebies, please comment your ideas!
If no one can think of something, I'll probably stick with using an algorithm to pick a random user. As soon as I have a good idea, though, I'll for sure start the giveaway process.
As I have done in the last freebie giveaway, I will not require anyone to be a watcher. It's possible this will change, but I just feel it might look grubby to require a watch for art. What do you all think?

Updates!
General | Posted 8 years agoHey everyone <3 I hope you all are doing splendid. I'm just making this journal to sorta update the things that are going on lately with art and such.
First and foremost, I do have a piece I finished a few days ago that I will be posting as soon as I am done with editing the story that goes along with it.
With this, I have a few sketches I may or may not post in scraps. These sketches involve a bunch of different, random topics so I might just put them all into one file.
Thirdly, I do have a drawing I might post without a story, like the free icon I did. I'm not certain if I will or not at this point, but if I do some of you will recognize the character. I'm just a little unsure about it because I did reference the character a lot, so I don't feel it's honest to post it and be proud.
Fourth, I am currently working on the sketches for both my commission and an art trade that hasn't officially started. The sketches are coming along well, so hopefully I can do more with them very soon.
Lastly, I do want to apologize for my slow schedule lately. Not only have I been unable to talk to a lot of my friends as regularly as I would like (originally because I was physically ill), but I've been unable to come up with great ideas. That being said, I'm super picky. My ideas are likely just peachy for most of my watchers, I'm just being stupid about it.
On top of that, I've been dealing with random bouts of depression. I've just out of the blue been wanting to cry at times during the day, and the one person I talk to about it when I'm feeling that way has put up with it non-stop. I really do hope it passes soon, because it affects my art so very much, and on top of that affects my friendships.
I hope you all are enjoying the week. I definitely can't wait to get back into the flow of things~

As is pretty much always the case, I've been considering the world of Styles a bit, and ways to improve it. Along with that, I'm considering ways of giving incentive for watchers over, say, a page visitor or lurker. I've got a few things in mind, so hopefully I can figure out a system that is elegant, easy, and not ridiculous to maintain. For the moment, these journals will have to do, as at the very least, watchers get notified immediately, right?
So back to the main point of this journal! I've been considering questions, thoughts, and ideas that come to mind as I think on STY-01 and this specific page, so I'll be putting down any of them I have.
Q> What is the deal with Zen Corporation? What do they do exactly?
A > Zen is a multi-trillion dollar corporation with their fingers in thousands of different fields of research, education, entertainment, and industry. Because of this, there is no specific thing they do. In the case of Styles, she tends to hang around the scientific branches of Zen, however she may later be seen squeaking her way over to new territory to claim more toys.
Q> What happens when Zen patches all their security to prevent STY-01 from getting in? Is that even possible?
A> As is the nature of all forms of security, there will never be an absolutely perfect, robust way of preventing non-authenticated parties from gaining restricted access. Especially in the world of Styles, which defies many laws of physics. It's make-believe after all. (Or is it? ) Realistically, there will be a point where I cannot figure out how to improve Zen any further. At that point, there well may be new formats of writing, or possibly changes in story to allow more leniency for my writing.
Q> I've read that Styles only makes her move on someone who fits a certain body type in a certain condition. What if my character does not fit one of those?
A> It depends on the situation/character, but in a lot of cases Styles can and will act in an unpredictable manner. Essentially, any and everyone is subject to being stylized (however that applies to your situation, e.g. transformed, feminized, droned), and those who fall in the feminine/willing category are just an easier target. Keep in mind that a subject may struggle against Styles, but so long as the unaffected mind of the character desires to be compromised by her, it's fair game.
Q> [From an anonymous user] What would happen if Styles met my character? What would she do to them?
A> Generally if I am asked this question I will respond with the following, slightly modified for the character in question: Styles would likely begin by feminizing them. After that, any number of things could happen... I accept commissions for writing, $8 for a thousand words.
I'm not the type to like shoving business in the face of my watchers/visitors, but I refuse give a random user personalized fap material for free. Simply put, I want everyone to have equal access to my art, and will only provide special benefits for payment or to close and personal friends. The exception to this rule is my requests and gift art related statements.
Q> Your [art related effect] looks great! What program do you use?
A> I use a registered version of PaintTool SAI.
Q> Will you write/draw my kink?
A> Maybe! I should mention that I often write and draw kinks I have no positive or negative sexual interest in. I do this because my goal in art is to provide as much enjoyment for others as I can without doing it at my own expense. If I am writing a kink badly or incorrectly, please do provide me with helpful tips to improve via note or comment. Try to be as nice as possible, I am a sensitive creature. That being said, I am more than happy to try writing your kink if I think it makes sense for a story.
Q> The world of STY-01 confuses me a little bit. Could you clear up the way that beings in this universe work?
A> In this world, there are human beings and anthropomorphized beings of all different species. They all have a relatively humanoid size, where characters like mice may be as short as 4 feet tall and giraffes may be as tall as 10 feet. My main concern is to branch as far away from quadrupedal pornography as I possibly can. (There are exceptions) I do this simply because the idea of beastiality to me is unsavory. If you want to know why, I'd be happy to respond to that question in note form.

A> These exceptions are a bit specific, so please ask questions if you're unsure.
1.) The quadrupedal creature must have been transformed from a previously humanoid being.
2.) The humanoid in question must possess the ability to think, process, decide, consent, and act morally. Aside from consent, these faculties may be dulled, negated, or otherwise changed.
3.) The resulting transformation must be in the same size range as the party/parties involved in sexual behavior.
4.) (optional, for comfort) The resulting transformation should be into a mythical or fictional beast. (I.E., a dragon, a pool toy, etc.)
Q> So what are your kinks, anyway? What do you enjoy the most? What kinks do you dislike or hate?
A> This is sort of a tough question, because I have a lot of them. For starters, latex and dollification are an obvious one. Feminization, hypnosis, certain types of paw fetish, and transformation (including tgtf) are also equally as fun for me. I am particular to traps (crossdressing males) bimbos and temporary intelligence loss as well. Along with these things, I am a sucker for potions, cursed items, and skintight suits. Some kinks are an absolute no for me. Some are a likely no for me. The "absolutely no" category includes blood, pain, violence, hard vore, non-consensual rape, torture, mean characters, scat, watersports, cub (or any underage), incest, foul odors, unhygenic characters, overly muscular characters, major muscle growth, drug use (not related to magical potions or catnip), excessive obscene language, quadruped (see exceptions above), snuff, dismemberment, major weight gain, and permanent mind erasing (I want to keep my personality and memories!).
The "likely no" category includes very excessive cum, popping, diapers, smoking, licking boots, heavy inflation, heavy bondage, docking, and immobilization.

If you haven't read my profile already, my name is Styles, and I am an art lover and artist. I totes love all sorts of kinkyriffic art, so expect to see lots of favorites from me.
I'm a busy busy person, so my art won't come out at a consistent rate, but I'll try to keep you guys on your toes!
