For weeks, maybe even over a month now, I have felt trapped at home.
Everyone I speak to seems to always be in a bad mood, or just a bad mood towards me.
And now I'm working full time, 4-6 days a week for eight hours and it's third shift so I work 10pm - 6am.
I am so exhausted from working since it is physical work that I am sleeping all day, and then when I finally get up I have to make sure I am doing my weekly/daily chores and then all I have time left to do is eat and get ready for work.
And I love my job, don't get me wrong, I just hate working and sleeping all the time. It's all I can do now and I'm pretty much just missing out on life. And then I finally get a day off and I want to spend it with my family and I can't even do that because everyone just gets mad or goes to bed early or they're to busy with their own stuff.
I honestly just want to cry. And I have felt this way for days. I spend the only time I have off alone in my room because everyone else is doing other things and we can't even sit together for more than a few hours without someone getting mad or irritated and storming off, or after a few hours saying they rather do something by themselves on the computer or something.
Yeah I know, I can't have everything I want, I'm just tired of feeling alone.
Nothing makes me happy anymore, or distracts me from life.
I've tried drawing, knitting, crocheting, watching movies, listening to music...nothing helps. It just makes me want to roll over in bed and cry.
I don't know. I'm tired of feeling stuck. My job is great and it makes me happy helping others, but I hate the idea that this is it. I will never have weekends to just sit and watch movies again, I will never be able to just go stay with a friend whenever I feel like it. I will spend the rest of my life working and it just makes me feel like I'm dying. I can't just wake up for work and say "Hey, you know I'm really tired today. I think I'll just sleep in." and call work and tell them I'm not coming. I can't just say, "Hey, there's this convention I want to go to on these dates, so could I get them off?" Because they will tell me no, or yeah I can take them but I won't have a job when I get back. I will never be able to just take days off to go do the things I want.
And on top of everything, I need to start college sometime in the near future, because what's the point of trying to be anything if you don't go to college right? So now I have to start working on that, and finding out how much it's going to cost, and start trying to get money of some sorts, and then I get to go to college while I work full time because I'm an adult now and that's just what they fucking do.
I just want to have a nice life, without having to work my ass off so I can get some shitty apartment with a roommate (because even working full time, I won't be able to afford anything outside of the ghetto), while I "try" to improve my life forever feeling trapped in a stupid cycle of "you're a little kid so you need to focus on school" then moving to "you're a teenager now so start acting like an adult. This is the most important part of your life" and then finally you think, "Oh! I'm an adult! I can stay up late, go out with friends without my parents yelling at me, I'll have money!" and then reality hits you in the face and all you hear from the people around you is "You need to get a job. You need to start going to college. You need to be responsible."
If I had known then, that being an "adult" sucked this bad, I would have tried to enjoy life a little instead of trying to be an adult like everyone said I should before I was even an adult.
End of rant.

Posted 12 years agoMonday afternoon a friend of our family stopped by to visit us while passing through where we live. I was soooo excited!!! I hadn't seen him in 5 years!! He used to stay with us a lot and I was always close to him.
This was the first time we got to meet his wife and his children, and I was honestly worried she wouldn't like us.
They arrived around 3PM and we all came down and gave him hugs and met everyone and had introductions. Then the guys went to talk and my mom, myself, and his wife all sat in the living room. My mom and I tried so hard to make conversation with her, and she just acted like she hated being at our house. So that sucked..Then later after dinner I started feeling sick and I went to lay down and fell asleep.
Then Tuesday morning they came over at 10AM and stayed until 12. When they went to leave he came over and told me they were about to leave, so I turned around to give him a hug. I hugged him for a while, upset that he was leaving, but he just stood there with one arm around me in one of those awkward one-arm hugs. I was hurt, but I thought maybe it was just because I was older. He gave the little kids really tight long hugs and then even hugged my older sister the same. I'm so hurt by this. I don't know if it was intentional, or just how he hugged me.
Thinking about it makes me want to cry... I know it seems a bit silly, but it really hit me hard.

Posted 12 years agoI've never really done digital art, but I've been so into it lately that I decided to get a tablet! I ordered a Bamboo Splash tablet yesterday to start off with and I should be getting it tomorrow.
Once I get used to drawing, and I get the hang of it, I will most likely do a free art thing so I can practice different styles and get my art out.
I can't wait! If you would like a free arts, just keep a look out for journals from me! (:
