Couple o' new commission rules
Posted 9 years ago1- you have to have my approval if you wanna use my characters in a commission, i love using them, but i put alot of care into writing them too, and i dont want to break there characters for a pic, like putting certain characters in scenarios. like "Aquata doesnt like to just go around having sex with everyone and sexually humilaiating squiddy everywhere," wheras someone like Nikki is always game for that. (hell, its literally her shtick) So im always welcome for your ideas i just have restrictions for specific characters.
2- If you wanna reserve a commission slot, i wont actually put you down until we deicde what you want. So if you say "are you open" you gotta be quick to tell me what you want cause you DO have competitors.
So essentially tell me the details in the same Note as the request. rather than awaiting my responce, it saves me less time and clutters my inbox less :)
you can always add me on discord if you want to talk further on the subject.
3- I will always only accept payments when my pic is done (past clients know this)

Posted 9 years agoOnce im done with this commissions at the moment of corse, but yeah im thinking of doing a raffle or some auctions, sort of like a "win a date with squiddy or [insert character] you get a free character sketch or something along those lines eventually, feels like something fun to do. if i like your character & all, heh heh.
ive had a couple ideas stirring around in my head for various species stuff, like if i get an action with a bear character have them sitting on squiddy or someone like "why are there so many goddamn bears on me >:U"
or a ferret oc being like "why are my legs suddenly drawn so tiny and louse being like "welcome to the club pal."
or just fun species ideas in general. idk i just really like that stuff too, sense comedy's my favorite part of character writing.

COMMISSIONS START AT $20 and keep the usual $25=nsfw shtick i need to be making enough money to actually support myself because im on the fast track to living in a cardboard box.
i need to move out and escape my honestly Abusive family.
i cant just do trades and art to make people happy anymore. this needs to be my job and i need fuckin money.

GOT PAINT TOOL SAI BACK WITHOUT HAVING TO INSTALL SHIFTY SOFTWARES TO PIRATE.

(this is a lazy copy-paste from a skype chat)
Adventure time started otu well but they rapidly let the popularity go to thier heads.
1- they have no fucking clue how to tell an ongoing story. what they will do is open a plot point and then toss it in a bucket to pick it up at a later time. they just fuckign forget it. and we've hit the point where there's sevrel and they took it to such a stupid point that who the fuck cares. we got finns love life arc which is just repeating itself over and over, the lich who became a baby then not a baby and is the fucking KING of forgetting it until the end of the season. just wrap it the fuck up already!!!!! and the simon and marcy arc. OHHH the simon and marcy arc. we've hit the point where its about simons love betty as a decapiated floating insane magic head who seems to be a whole different sepreate character now with little no to jokes just wierd ass imigary.
2- they WASTE GOOD STORY ELEMENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jake being a dad and comign to terms with having to raise a ton of children, who are all more magically powerful then him? leading him to have to grow up, be responcible and look over the bad discisiosn with finn and move on to be a better parent and person? *NOPE. THERE ALL GROWN UP BEFORE THE EPISODE EVEN FINISHED. NOW THERE JUST THERE TO MAKE TOYS OF*
Finn losing his arm forcing him to come to terms with hiw own mistakes, crippled state and guilt of losing his father? not to mention EVERY TIME they showed a whit if future finn he had a metal arm, such as the aged pillow world finn/farmworld AU finn and finn's previous life, who's arm they confirmed is still there, ending up that plot point and her struggles and givign finn a permenent but cool new detail and addition. *NOPE NOPE FUCKING NOPE THEY GAVE HIM HIS ARM BACK LITERALLY 3 EPISODES LATER ALL WE GOT WAS ONE SCENE OF HIM LIKE "gonna be hard man" *
ALL IT DOES IS GIVE US SOMETHIGN COOL AND THEN JUST....toss it away
T3-the show is not fun at all anymore. nobody smiles, there's no jokes. they dont have fun in between. in the old ones it would show how fun they all are. which is what makes you invested in the characters. THEN make it all emotional.
now its just emotional boring 24/7. the characters are all serious and not cooky in any way aside from designs.
its tryign to be way to artsy and hipster-ish and *_ S Y M B O L I C _ * and its whats getting in the way of the once great show that made it popular in the first place. i dont know anyone who keeps up with it because of how hard they made it to keep up with. and nobody who cares to do so. and for what. more boring sadness!?
Steven universe simply does this all right. they bring up a plot point "Malachite ran away" and then they have an unrelated episode EXEPT they have Garnet say "be good steven, im going to go search for malachite" BAM THERE IT IS! THEY DIDNT FORGET A PLOT POINT YET THERE ALSO ABLE TO MOVE ON! and were at over 100 episodes and they characters are STILL having fun. its easy to follow, doesnt DEMAND you to _understand the symbolism man_ and slugging through the sad parts DO have an outcome. we see sad relationship troubles with ruby & saphire. then we see them kissing and its SO FREAKING CUTE!!!! we wanted to see lapis and peridot happy. and now they are getting into all sorts of funny moments. its so heartwarming and amazing to see the great outcome of all these plot points that * _DIDNT OVERSTAY THERE WELCOME. DIDNT TAKE 180 DEGREE TWISTS AND ACTUALLY ENDED THEMSELVES AT A PROPER MOMENT _ *
