100% Fully Employed, Part Time!
Posted 6 years agoWhat an obtuse statement!
Anywho, the job I've been working at for two and a half years as minimum wage as an 'intern' sort of situation has officially made the position an actual post in the office and I start as a for real state employee this Monday. No more worrying if the funding is suddenly going to end, finally getting benefits and time off, getting significantly more than minimum wage for the same amount of work! Heck yeah.

Ten Key Facts That May be Mildly Interesting!
Posted 7 years agoI’ve been using a computer for over twenty years of my life now. As such there are certain actions that are just hardcoded into my memory by now. Little things that make tasks easier or quicker that seem like so much common sense to me that I am often times surprised when someone doesn’t know about them!
Today I would like to share some of them with anyone who cares to read this. Feel free to leave a comment if you learned something new or if you have a shortcut that you use all the time yourself that I didn’t list.
1. Ctrl + Shift + Esc: almost everyone who has ever touched a computer knows the shortcut of Ctrl + Alt + Delete to close your current application or to bring up the Windows lock screen so you can get to the Task Manager to terminate a program that’s bugging out or not responding. This key combo cuts out the middle man and instantly calls up the Task Manager without having to jump between screen transitions!
2. Alt + Tab: I hope most of you know this one, it’s super helpful. This one lets you swap between your currently open applications. So you can jump from your browser to your chat program and back or pop out of a full screen game to see what messages you might have gotten while it’s open; and so on and so on. Super useful.
3. Ctrl + X/C/V: These go together because they all function together. These are the shortcuts for Cut/Copy/Paste respectively. Copy of course copies whatever you have selected, text, files, or whatever. Paste will paste in whatever is currently on your clipboard from using Copy or Cut. Cut is like Copy but it removes the original version once it has been Pasted into a new location (with files at least, text is instantly removed).
4. Ctrl + Z: UNDO! This hotkey undoes the last thing you did, if possible. Probably one of the most useful things you could ever need to know if you do a lot of typing or digital drawing (if you have a free hand for pressing it I suppose!)
5. F5: Refresh. This button will refresh the current browser page you’re on. Always helpful.
6. Ctrl + T/Ctrl + Shift + T: These are also browser based shortcuts! The first one will open a new blank tab and the second one will reopen the last closed browser tab/window. Useful if you close something by mistake.
7. Ctrl + S/Ctrl + Shift + S: SAVE and SAVE AS! Cause saving stuff is important. Save As lets you change the name of the file you are saving so you don’t save over the previous version, if you need to do that for some reason.
8. Ctrl + Page Up/Down: Another browser based shortcut. This lets you switch between your currently open tabs. It’s like Shift + Tab but for tabs!
9. Ctrl + I/U/B: These ones are for text and typing, it doesn’t usually work in messenger programs however. These hotkeys will toggle Italics/Underline/Bold on whatever editable text is currently selected.
10. Ctrl + +/-: That’s the control key and the plus key (technically the = key) or minus key. Browser based one last time. This combo will zoom in or out on your current page. This can be useful to enlarge a video or a stream that normally takes up a small part of the screen without having to use a full screen mode.

Posted 8 years agoYeah it's happening again this Sunday. It's strange before I turned 30 I had so much anxiety about getting older then after hitting 30 it all went away to the point I gave no fucks at all about my age. I almost even forgot that I'm only NOW turning 32, not 33. XD
Work Anniversary
Posted 8 years agoA year ago yesterday I started my job at the office I'm working in. It feels like it was just a little while ago, man how time flies when you have something to actually do with yourself. I am super glad I got the position and it has been a wonderful experience overall. I hope I can stay there for a long time!
You know, cause it helps me afford more furry smut... >.>;

RIP Chester Bennington
Posted 8 years agoI'm a little late on this but I only found out last night and was fairly shocked.
Chester Bennington was the lead vocalist of Linkin Park and he hung himself a few days ago. I know a lot of people find their music to be fairly memeworthy and easy to make fun of, but I have always been a big fan of their sound. They had released a new album only just back in May and in retrospect a lot of the songs and titles seemed very telling.
I wish he had found another way to deal with whatever problems he had weighing upon him.
Rest well, Chester. One More Light flickers and fades.

Where has my creativity gone?
Posted 8 years agoI feel like I have totally lost something recently. I used to try and make little stories to go with each image I post but more and more I find myself coming up dry on ideas, so then I don't post the stuff I have. I've got a queue of unposted images and no drive to figure out something interesting to post alongside them. It really freaking sucks. I hope I can get over whatever is causing this block.

Cleaning
Posted 9 years agoBeen sifting through my gallery and rearranging some of my folders, Salix now has his own grouping with sub folders for his different forms since there happen to be a fair few of them. And sometimes you just want to see a femdoge or a hermdoge or the nonsense a moss bot gets into.
I've also gone through and cleaned up my skype contact list a bit. Been giving discord more of a chance now, but still unsure how I feel about it overall.

A Quick History Lesson
Posted 9 years agoSomeone asked me about this in a discord channel so I figured I might as well save it and transpose it here.
In the fantasy world setting I have in my head there is a group of druids, wizards, and clerics called the Burngrove Circle. They are intent on dominating their region of the world, but are attempting to be indirect about it, stirring up trouble in subtle ways throughout the land. Touching off conflicts between neighboring kingdoms etc. All while building an army of creatures that don't need to sleep. Which is to say moss dogs.
There are three different 'generations' of moss dogs, the first are feral, the size of a normal dog, fast, fierce and trained like hunting hounds.
The second generation are pretty much akin to werewolves, huge hulking almost humanoid beasts of bulging muscles and wild strength. Juggernauts. Great weapons, but lacking any real sense of self preservation or cunning.
The third generation is what Salix is a part of, anthro plant dogs that can think and talk and interact and plan. Smart enough to revolt if they ever had a reason to, so the Circle kept a tight leash on them and bound them beneath some built in restraints. Like, despite being a plant and being able to survive on sunlight and water their sentience and sense of self is powered by energy gained from eating meat. So they are FORCED to be carnivorous or they go mindless eventually.
Salix of course 'escaped' which in my head canon of that world's story line was intentional, letting this one rogue moss dog start wandering the world, distracting people and causing all sorts of chaos wherever he goes. Which, just sorta knowing his personality one can see how that might happen.

AMA Saturday: Ask Away
Posted 9 years agoLast journal turned out kinda interesting but a lot of people asked questions that I said I wouldn't answer. So here we go with another journal. Feel free to ask me or any of my characters something.
If You've Ever...
Posted 9 years agoWanted to say something to me but have been afraid of how I might reply then this journal is for you. No matter what the comments are here I won't reply to them, so go ahead and say whatever you really want to say to/about me or my characters, if you want.
This is really just an experiment, curious to see if anyone will actually do this.
Also, yes, I cleaned out my shouts.
